A Tuscan dream came through! A place so warm that you feel like you are in a Tuscan rustic home where a family is sharing their love and passion about food and wine. We entered this place with curiousity as we were staying right above it, and i really is a surprise hiden in a hall of a wall. The best surprise ever. The food is that amazing that we came back the next day to try something different. We have tried the red house wine, which was outstanding. What I can surely recommend is the plater of cold cuts with cheese if you are looking for appetizer, but from pasta I recommend the pasta with duck sauce and the pasta with mild garlic and tomatoes. For a perfect ending of a pleasant night, the warmest recommendations from us for the homemade chocolate tart with walnuts, which is out of this world, especially when you share the piece with your loved one! Kudos for you guys, we hope that we will have tha chance to come back again someday soon!

If you got sold to eat across the river somewhere else you straight up blew it. This place was the absolute best dining experience you could possibly imagine. Small family run place with friendly people and phenomenal food with wine I can’t recommend enough. BELLISIMO!!

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our walk back to the city centre from Piazzale Michelangelo. The restaurant is family run and feels like a warm grandmother’s hug on a cold day. Both Nicolo and his brother are great hosts - they wore a smile on their face at all times and were very kind and thoughtful with their recommendations. They have hand-written menus and everything we tried was impeccable. A must visit if you’re ever in Florence!

If you’re checking out Piazzale Michelangelo, please come here afterwards for a perfect end to your day. I came here for dinner and had an incredible meal, probably the best I’ve had in Europe so far. I got carbonara with boar sausage and spinach with lemon…literally said “Oh my god” out loud upon first bite. Plus atmosphere is really cozy and service is kind and efficient.

Situated at the quite end of San Niccolò neighborhood next to the 3000 euro a pair of custom made leather shoe Bremer, we wouldn’t have found it if not for our friendly concierge who told us about Bremer and this authentic Florentine restaurant he loves. Don’t expect your usual touristy Florentine T-bone steak but flavorful grandma recipes genuine Florentine food. The Chef/owner is a wine collector and probably also an art aficionado. It reflects on his dishes which has complex taste pairing of elements and yet down to earth and even a bit rustic. It’s a family run business with the sons waitering and running the front with gracious courtesy and friendly demeanor. Always so helpful with a smile, they speaks perfect English and makes you feel relax and at home enjoying not only the food, the unassuming ambience but also friendly small chats. There is a good mix of tourists and locals but it is obvious locals streamed in only after 8pm. When we left past 10pm (we were there since 7.30pm) they were getting really busy and there is a line of local customers out the door trying to get a table. Probably our best meal in Florence over the past four days and we would come back again if we weren’t leaving tomorrow. Do make a reservation if you are tired of the tourist food and wanted some authenticity that locals enjoy. Highly recommended.

Nice service. Delicious food. Good value for money. We had Tagliatelle alla saturnia, Braised beef in sangiovese(this one is REALLY good). And caramel panna cotta. All of them are delicious.

The BEST meal I’ve had in Italy. We had a friend find this place on TripAdvisor, and I cannot recommend this place enough. I ordered the Penne Al Coccio, and almost melted into my seat after one bite. If you are coming here, ORDER THIS!!!!! The pasta is perfectly al dente, with a generous helping of each topping (truffle, mushrooms, peas, bacon) and an amazing portion size. The flavor was out of this world, the second it hits your tongue, it is perfectly spiced, extremely flavorful, salty, I cannot stop thinking about it hours later. The best meal our group of 6 had, I shared almost a quarter of my plate because everyone could not get enough, and then cleaned the plate with a piece of bread because it was that good. Not too heavy, perfectly able to walk around in the hot sun afterwards. Another friend ordered the Coniquio Ripieno Al Forno, and said it was perfectly cooked, the rabbit moist and tender. We also had someone order the Gnocchi Alla Fornaia Con Basilico e Noci - the gnocchi was the perfect texture, soft, pillowy, chewy, and the pesto was incredible. The Tagliata ti Manzo Alla Maniera tel Bricco con Rucola e Cicciolo was also beautiful- perfectly salty, light, quality meat (served rare, we saw some other diners be surprised by the serving style of this dish, so look at pictures beforehand!) We ordered tiramisu, panna cotta, and a biscuit dish served with a dessert wine for dessert. The tiramisu was incredible, easily shared amongst 3 people. The panna cotta was the other star of this meal- the creamiest panna cotta all 6 of us had ever had. Sweet, creamy, delicious. Prices are incredibly reasonable, the service was incredible, with handwritten menus, wonderful servers, and a beautiful interior. The location is right by the water, we were able to exit and enjoy a beautiful sunset on the bridge. Will be coming back!

We stumbled upon this place coming down from Piazzale Michelangelo and had the most amazing meal. We felt like we were welcomed into their own home and hosted us. It wasn't a quick meal but we really enjoyed the pace and it let us get off our feet and relax and just enjoy it. Cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant.

This restaurant is truly authentic, with rustic decor that perfectly matches the charm of Tuscany. The food was outstanding—definitely worth a visit. I appreciated that they don’t serve pizza, which I always take as a sign of fewer tourists and, consequently, excellent food, which it absolutely was. We stumbled upon this lovely family restaurant tucked away from the busy city center. The service was fantastic and the two brothers working the front of the house made us feel like family. We had the pasta with duck sauce, the carbonara with wild boar, a bottle of wine, and finished with a tiramisu. I couldn't recommend coming here enough for an authentic Florentine dinner that makes you feel at home and not just a tourist. If you have the energy be sure to climb the hill after for a great view.

This place is phenomenal!!! The food is incredible and the prices are fantastic! Please take my advice and make this a must on your food list for Florence. My suggestion would be the truffle pasta with mushrooms, it was one of the best meals I had in Italy after being all over the country for about 2 weeks.

In my opinion the best food I've had in Italy so far. Service was quite slow but they seemed short-staffed so I don't blame them, and the ambiance made it a great experience all around. Strongly recommend the Saturnalia (carbonara with wild boar sausage) and the duck sauce.

Il locale è accogliente, il personale simpatico e disponibile ed i piatti proposti sono davvero buoni. Tra i vari piatti proposti vi consiglio: i crostini toscani, il tagliere di salumi e formaggi e la bistecca alla fiorentina. Consigliatissimo

Beautiful intimate restaurant. It has a special character which is hard to describe. It is like tourists don’t exist and they just run this restaurant like they did 50’years ago. The food is as authentic as the atmosphere. Real Tuscan kitchen with the original taste. We were not blown away like other comments and beware that some typical meals are not mainstream. Prices are absolutely low compared to other places
