The new building is beautiful and designed well to keep the flow of traffic going, in both the parking lot (drive-thru) and the dining area. Very clean with friendly service and several self order stations if you don't feel like ordering at the counter. There is a separate area to pick up your food, and plenty of tables for dining in. There is a social table at the back of the restaurant that had a group of friends playing cards. The food is typical Panera - good pastries, some good salads/bowls, and decent sandwiches. If I were to choose which of the closest Panera to go to, it would be this one.
I went today to the new Panera. I couldn't have been happier with the service and quality of food. The staff was very friendly and the food was ready really fast it was affordable and delicious. The place was filled with happy customers, I look forward to going back. Great Job!!!!
Awesome! Egg white & spinach on sprout bread with lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado. Plain oatmeal with walnuts and blueberries. Plus a green passion smoothie. The perfect breakfast combination! Very good customer service! Very professional and polite staff. Food is always hot and great tasting. Very short wait in the drive-thru. Very easy to navigate drive-thru lane which accommodates large vehicles easily.
Great addition to Suffern! I go here often due to my Sip Club Membership and the staff are always pleasant!
We stopped here to get drinks. It was very modern and had a large selection of drink offerings. We also happened to see a very unique car parked outside that was split and one half was mother of pearl and the other side white.
New location as of about one week. The people here are really good! They have other options that other nearby locations don’t offer. This place is decent and a brand new store is always a delight.
To be honest never complained about un any Panera bread, ambiance, cleanliness but this time we had to deal with a little unhappy kind of rude cashier maybe was a bad day or she gives that impression of toughness when maybe she is not, but we will be back and walk straight to her to see if she is nice or not ready to be a customer service person
Amazing staff, friendly owner, and clean and spacious seating. Nice place to enjoy the breakfast.

First time at this newly built Panera in Suffern,NY. I'm very familiar with the Panera menu regardless of location. Decided to try their newest Croissant bread sandwich to discover it was not avail/sold out at 130-2PM?? Kinda disappointed as I wanted something different from my norm so I just ordered my normal, tuna salad on chiobatta bread toasted and that never disappoints!
Brihana greated my family with a big smile!! Great customer service!! Food was good too!! Food prep area were super sweet too!

It's not my favorite place but seems to be consistent with service and quality
Employees at bagel station talking loudly and playing with phones. They did not great customers. Also one long haired employee playing with hair in a baking area. Mgr. correct immediately after i spoke to him. I did not see him wash his hands afterward? Panera usually very clean.
Always good! Great choices, great food, great value.
Update: returned back during Mother's Day weekend, reordered coffee, coffee was not watered down this time Suffered thru a watered down hot coffee at the self-serve coffee bar My guest also agreed that the coffee tasted weak. But very nice restaurant I must say.
Nice and big, airy, and clean store. Staffer upfront was super helpful and offered to help build the custom pick 2 in order to replicate their dipper that was temporary. Broccoli cheddar in a sourdough bread bowl was great, and hot chocolate was solid, too!
They have a good number of staff, but still a little disorganized. The screen says that our order is ready but it’s not. Busy during lunch time on a weekday (Thursday).
Food was great. I visited twice this week and noticed washroom is not clean, smells so bad
I had breakfast here with a friend and was pleased with the variety of breakfast options. The staff is friendly and helpful. Coffee urns were kept full. There was plenty of seating in a quite atmosphere. Bonus is that there is a traffic light at the entrance so it's easy to make a left turn in and out.
It was okay. Briefly annoyed that I said no to redeeming a free drink I earned and the cashier did it anyway but that is a minor problem in life. I went back to get dessert and was greeted but then no one came to the register. Maybe it was a sign I shouldn't eat dessert!

When they get order right, it's perfect. Out of 4 mobile orders 2 have been wrong. Very frustrating especially when the online ordering app or website don't want to work and just glitch for the whole lunchtime period
New shop and still working out the bugs (sorry, bad choice of words). Service is slow and employees too new to criticize. They'll get there. Food is still mediocre at best although the salads aren't bad.
It was my first time dining-in at the new Panera in Suffern. I was doing some work on my laptop when I noticed there was a gentleman I recognized from other establishments. He is an older gentleman who has some delays and often does not know how loudly he is speaking. He enjoys to wish everyone a good day and has never caused issues whenever I have encountered him. I am unaware of what may have occurred between him and the Panera management before today, but I can say with confidence I am disappointed with how he was treated this afternoon. He was wishing everyone a happy upcoming holiday and a manager rudely told him to sit down. The gentleman went back to apologize and the manager continued to reprimand him and walked him back to his chair. The gentleman repeated "I'm sorry I was talking to your customers. I understand." The managers response was "You say you get it but you don't. I'm not going to let you back here." Again, I am unaware of what may have transpired before today but a little more patience and understanding is expected. Highly disappointed in the lack of customer care the management here has. As for the staff, they were lovely.
Ordered a pickup order and got the you pick two with a turkey avocado BLT and squash soup. soup was great but the turkey BLT had no bacon? Otherwise the food here is always pretty good.
The cooks are trying to game the fill rate on their order queue. It said my order was ready, I went in and found it nowhere, even though the display said it was done. When I asked for it, the man at the counter said it was almost done. I waited another five or ten minutes for them to actually finish prepping the food.
Food was really not that great for the $40. Plus there were out of bread believe it or not but didn't tell us till we already paid at the window! So they gave us two bags of chips instead! Kinda lame!

Food is always good.Almost every employee handling food is on their cell phone. Went today Sunday worker packing food for drive thru and customers on cell.Touching phone and hair while giving out food. When I approched for order he asked what I needed? I said I think that's my order. He grabbed a ticket and I asked why he didn't call my call? I called him out for being on the phone he claimed he was working? Really?
Ooh my, where to start? For a brand new location, you'd think they would install ample outlets to charge your devices- but they did not. Forcing a customer to use the self serve ordering system is obnoxious, but if that's what Panera wants - it's thier business. I just never need to return. The moment I walked in, there was NO ONE at the main counter, NO ONE said hello, NO ONE said enjoy your meal NO ONE said have a nice day. Pricing is way overpriced. Food, was very tasty. Summary: NO customer service, overpriced, but good food. I would prefer outstanding customer service if I have to pay high food prices. So many other places within 1/2 mile who have impeccable customer service, I will just continue to go there.
Very, very disappointed in the customer service with the food server in the kitchen. He was very disturbed that I asked him why the bowl of soup was only.half full. Even more disturbed when I asked for a couple extra sprinkles of cheese on my French Onion soup after showing his attitude he told me next time order up front for a sprinkle of cheese Lousy customer service. I did tell the manager but I doubt very much that anything was done!! What has happened to excellence in customer service??.
I literally live across the street and would rather visit the Panera Bread in Ramsey. This store is clean, spacious and has outdoor seating but out of the three times I visited this location, there was always an issue. The first two times my sandwich was missing something. The third time I placed an order online for just one charged lemonade. I go to the online order pickup and nobody is there. Then the one associate comes walking out in slow motion asking me what I ordered I told him my name and order and he couldn’t find it. He asked the same question again and I told him the same answer. Another associate comes out and asks me the same two questions, I told him my name and my order. At this point the manager comes and asks me the same two questions and proceeds to tell me that the order was cancelled without asking for an order number or last name. I had left my phone in the car because I was in a rush on my way to work and didn’t think one lemonade that I ordered 10 minutes ago would take 5 minutes to locate. Once I get in my car, I see the email from Panera Bread saying that my order was ready for pickup at this location. Once I got to work, I called and spoke with the manager who was very friendly, apologized and returned the money back to my card but what a complete inconvenience especially since it wasn’t even busy, I was the only one inside and the driver thru was empty at 10:15am.
We've been to Panera many times, this was our first visit to this location on Airmont road that opened a couple of months ago. We both had the asian sesame salad with chicken. Absolutely boring as can be, greens and chicken, plus a few almond slivers. The bread was NOT fresh, and my soup was cold. I've never been this disappointed and for $38 a rip-off. Wont go to this very convenient location again. And this damn tip screen is out of control, I place an order, I pour my own drink, I pick up my food and clean my table. I think they should be tripping us!
Before I start just want to say the taste of the food was acceptable. I have been to many Paneras and have seen my fair share of variability on quality but this one takes the cake. The portioning and presentation of the food was pretty bad. My salad was served on something that looked like the lid of a plastic container. God knows how old was the piece of bread I was given but I am seeing my dentist after trying to bite into it. The portions were terrible, food looked so greasy. Not one to do reviews but had to take the time for this one.

Purchased a gift cards and when I gave them out as gifts, the money wasn't loaded on them. Unfortunately, I paid cash and lost the receipt.
Why is there no more small sized coffee anymore? I was told it was discontinued. How I need to spend more for extra coffee I can't drink. Otherwise staff here very nice
Went yesterday for a Mac and cheese for my daughter and sandwich for me, and it was awful. The bowl was maybe half served and my sandwich so toasted and greasy. They took at least 25 min for my order and was terrible Not going again, I’ll better go to the one in Ramsey
I took my children here for lunch. The bill came to $35. We asked for a bagel with cream cheese. It came with butter. When I asked the operating manager who prepares the food for cream cheese he turned around and said you didn’t pay for that. I politely told him that’s what we ordered. He had the audacity to say I’m charging you for it. Where is the customer service here?? Your cashier made the mistake! Let’s get train people in customer service a little better. He was nasty and rude!!!
The attention of the manger was really racist, when I asked of my chicken sandwich had random pieces of steak that I did not ask for, the only thing she did is that she took the pieces of steak and threw the sandwich at me, she also made the chicken cold in my chicken chipotle sandwich. My family and myself will never go back, what would happened of my child was allergic to steak and received random pieces of steak, they do not care if your allergic in anything, she was also mad because we came at 8:35 pm because she said that they closed at 9:00 but after 9:00 lots of other people came and they didn’t care about the others. I hope they change the attitude between people from different races, have a good night. ( we were a family of 4 people
On Tuesday April 2, 2024 at approx 2:25 hrs. The store was out of the $7.99 Value Duet special Napa almond chicken salad Sandwich. But DID have the Cream of chicken wild rice soup. I asked for another half sandwich from the same menu with the Cream of Chicken wild rice soup. HE REFUSED... I said you have the the 6 foot Value Duet sign without any thing crossed off.... He then Agrued and would not make good on his misrepresented advised menu. He was very unprofessional & rude. He also rang up the order on another employee cashier's name. This is the first time I've experienced the unprofessional rudness....
It happened twice already, I order to pick up and is never ready at the pick up time.
Horrible experience drive thru worker Jesus was extremely rude, I was told they were backed up but had at least 10 people working. It took them 20 minutes for a soup and chips! Honestly horrible service would not recommend.
I would give them a 0 star review if i could. Rude, inconsiderate, did not let me finish my sentence when I came in. Enter this establishment to receive the worst customer service ever. Hopefully they treat you better than me. You could have had another paying customer, but instead you will drive them away. Please pay more attention to the people that enter your restaurant instead of driving them away.
A shadow off what pannera used to be. No bread with soup,no bread bowls, wild rice chicken soup watered down (Campbell's would been a step up,restaurant and tables filthy. Only positive was friendly counter staff. Could have gotten all this at McDonald's for a whole lot less and same quality
Adding to the many reviews that document this location's two persistent issues - rude staff and long wait times. Waited 14 minutes in the drive thru for 4 breakfast sandwiches. During that time, employees were loitering around, and not a single employee acknowledged the wait or apologized. This is the last straw for a longtime patron who really wanted this restaurant to succeed - definitely some personnel changes urgently needed here.
I have been coming to Panera with my family for over 15 years! I have been taking my kids since they were babies! Most of the Panera Franchises are very welcoming and kind to kids, being very accommodating to their special needs, like asking for the broth of a soup due to a swallowing issues! But for some weird reason “Kay” at the Panera in Suffern was not nice to my 12 year old! She didn’t even bother to ask about the reason for his request! She was just plainly making up stories about this request being against franchise policies, wish is not ( have been getting this for years) He wasn’t asking for nothing they haven’t done at every other Panera! What a shame, this is not a representation of Panera franchise and their outstanding customer service! Hopefully their manager addresses this issue and they can correct poor service before is too late! Hopefully is all on camera!! We won’t be coming back when Kay is working, we will wait to be there when Ralph is attending the counter who is amazing at everything he does! If it wasn’t for him, we won’t be coming back to this Panera!
I had a very disappointing experience at this Panera. I ordered food and waited in the drive-up line for over 15 minutes with no movement. I left and came back about 30 minutes later, only to find the same exact situation. I called the store multiple times, but the manager was extremely unprofessional, they pretended not to hear me and even hung up on me twice. To make matters worse, they also refused to refund my money. This is completely unacceptable customer service, and I will not be returning.
Very slow service. Disgusting dirty bathrooms. Panera, I think you can do better…
I absolutely love macaroni and cheese and I eat it often at Panera, this particular location yesterday I was served cold macaroni, I asked for it hot, they said I could heat it in the microwave, I never use a microwave to reheat my food because it changes the texture of the food. Which is unacceptable for me! I explained that I didn't eat microwaved food, then they take a plate, heated it up in the microwave and gave me dry, squishy pasta. If we , the consumers are paying $11 for macaroni , you should show more respect and still not leave people hungry. If you eat microwaved food and it doesn't taste good in your mouth, there are people for whom eating healthy food is important and you should remember that!!! My last visit to this location, I had to admit that the service was going to be bad because there were empty tables, probably many people have bad experiences with this location....
