We were seated quickly, food and drinks came out quick. Quevos rancheros and eggs Benny(great smoky flavor) were delicious with crispy hashbrowns. Mimosas were poured with a heavy hand which we needed. My only gripe for the location was pakring but that is not their fault. Definitely family friendly and a great place.
Food was good, service was good...ate here twice that weekend. Will definitely be our regular spot when we are back in town
Got into an accident infront of the resturant, all the staff quickly csme out to check on us offered us to stay inside use the bathroom. We ended up ordering food and it was absolutely delicous and fresh. Waiters were consistently checking on us. Very very friendly place definitely do recommend
We looked up nearby good breakfast places and this place was in the top 3. So I called for wait times bc yesterday we waited 2.5 hours at the one that starts with a B... and it was not great. This place here was pretty awesome. Wait time was approximately 30/40 mins. Host was a little on edge... but everyone else gave us prompt and friendly service. The food was delicious and they have good coffee. I would definitely come back here. It is a small place so I wouldn't recommend it for parties bigger than 6 people.
Lumberjack Cafe is an absolute gem! Their breakfast is insanely delicious and always hits the spot — especially their breakfast menu. You can tell everything is made fresh and with care. It’s no surprise this place is always busy — it’s clearly a local favorite for a reason. The location is beautiful too, making it an even better place to sit down, relax, and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommend stopping here if you love a solid breakfast and amazing burritos!
I can not emphasize how great this restaurant is. My mom and I came in last minute due to a social media spot being closed on Thanksgiving. When you walk in, theirs a cozy home vibe. The waitresses that attended us were very friendly and hospitable. My mom and I loved this restaurant! If you’re looking for authentic, delicious food in Big Bear, and don’t want to just go to take pictures for social media, This is the spot! I promise you won’t regret it.
Lumberjack Cafe is a family owned cafe in Big Bear. It is a true gem where you can get homemade food away from home. Everything is fresh and tasty. The owners are friendly and service is amazing. This is my second time here and will definite be back again. Thank you for the wonderful breakfast.
This family-owned café was a pleasant surprise to have lunch today. There are several small dining areas inside and plenty of seating available outside the restaurant. This is by no means fancy dining, but the home-style family atmosphere more than makes up it. This is a charming little café with a wonderful staff that were very attentive and the food was very good. The side salad was freshly made and more than ample in size and we really liked the bacon cheeseburger. The one thing we would recommend, park on the side of the restaurant rather than in front of it if possible. The traffic racing down the street can be a problem at certain times of the day if you are trying to back up. Otherwise, it will be a great location to have breakfast or lunch while being well taken care of by friendly staff members who make you feel like part of the family.
My family and I came here for the traditional breakfast (pancakes eggs bacon etc.) and we’re not disappointed! Surprisingly we found the corn hash beef that we used to eat in Boston and sourdough pancakes (huge) and it was sooo good. Everything was delicious and the service was great. We’d be back :)
Sat outside on the patio and brought my two small dogs. Pet friendly place! I loved my veggie egg white omelette, super loaded with fresh spinach (not overly cooked and slimy/soft which I loved) and lots of other veggies. The hash browns were crispy and delicious, and the coffee was hot and my cup always kept full. Highly recommend while in town!
So I went back there again today June the 30th because of my great experience last time.... it was just as good today....🤩🥰 Awesome little restaurant in Big Bear to have brunch! I rode my motorcycle from San Diego to Big Bear just to come to this place, And I really really enjoyed it. I had the eggs Benedict and they're perfectly cooked! Friendly staff and great service.... And awesome price as well!
Hubby and I spent a weekend in Big Bear and didn't know anything about this place. We drove up Big Bear Blvd til we found something that sounded good and this is where we ended up. The parking is NOT great, especially if they're busy. Lucky for us, we got there just before the breakfast rush came it. I ordered the scramble with sausage and a side of waffle. My hubby ordered the chicken fried steak, log potatoes and egg over hard. Let's just say we were both pleasantly surprised. The food was really good and the portions were good size too! From the outside, it didn't look like much. Even when we walked in, there was nothing fancy about it. Kinda felt like I just stepped into an old Aunty's house where nothing matched, everything looked super old and yet, it was still cozy & inviting. But wait, I forgot to mention our waitress...I forgot her name but she knew her stuff. She was very efficient, memorized our order and was quick to answer any questions. This was a really nice spot and we both killed our breakfast plates in no time!! Don't let the outdated furniture fool u. And yes, I'd come back and order the same thing again (I love the waffle)!! Just make sure to get there before it gets busy, otherwise you won't find parking.
food was definitely not worth $160. biscuits were cold and hard, scramble looked half way cooked. good service tho and cozy atmosphere.
I had the corned beef hash and eggs. Delicious. Coffee was weak which is not necessarily a bad thing. Wife had the veggie omelet. She enjoyed it. Giant servings.
We came across this place while staying in Big Bear. It's right on the main st. What caught our eye was they had "famous sourdough flap jacks" okay something different. They were okay. A little too sour for my taste. I felt like they were missing something. The Biscuits and Gravy was good. And their potatoes were very good. Everything was good. It was family owned and operated and you could tell. Def recommend this place for breakfast. But I don't 100% recommend the sourdough flap jacks. :)
