Tip: The sharable dips with pita breads are addictive. Rice portions are large, so consider sharing. Ask Vicky the bartender for a wine recommendation.

A friend brought me to this restaurant on a weekday night to experience fine Mediterranean cuisine. Even on a weekday, it is packed with people and a reservation is a must. Interesting, the only coffee that they serve is Turkish coffee although they have a few choices for tea. As we were that hungry, we skipped the appetizer and go straight for the main courses of lamb soaked in yogurt. The verdict is that the meat is definitely well prepared and the taste is great. A point to note that this restaurant is quite pricey but yet it has a huge crowd of customers even on a weekday evening.
One of our favorite restaurants in downtown Sunnyvale. Food always excellent, friendly service, and a buzzing atmosphere. Lots of vegetarian options, but also dishes with lamb or chicken. You can already fill up with the lovely appetizer sampler with lots of dips and fluffy pita bread. We also held a fantastic birthday dinner party in the private room with our own server and a private bathroom. Everyone was raving about the buffet dishes and the lovely party.
Had a really nice meal at Dishdash. I ordered the shish touk with spiced potatoes and the tikka kebab with freekeh. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. The beef was especially flavorful and tender, even tastier than the chicken, but the grilled chicken was still juicy and delicious. Overall a very satisfying and comforting meal, and I would definitely come back.
25 years I’ve enjoyed this hot spot. Decided to try something different than my usual lamb kabobs or sea bass mashwi. The rack of lamb was perfectly medium rare and the carrots Vickie recommended were wonderfully sweet and spiced. Also new to the menu are the crab felafels, best crab cakes ever! Go there tomorrow night tell them Eddie sent you😁👍👍🥂
Dishdash Middle Eastern Cuisine delivers flavorful, well-prepared dishes. The hummus was solid and a great start. The kufta kebab was tasty as well, though the meat portion felt a bit small. I definitely wished there was more. We also tried the M'shaklewh for the first time. It didn’t look very appealing at first, so we hesitated, but it turned out to be excellent. Very much recommended. Service was attentive, though it felt a bit mechanical at times. The only other downside is the price. It’s on the higher side ($40-$50 per person). Overall, a very good dining experience.
Can't say how much I love Middle Eastern food! We had a lovely time last eveningas a group of eight celebrating my birthday. Family style service was awesomely coordinated by Sal. Food was delicious and restaurant not too noisy being a Monday night. Highly recommend DishDash🤗
This place was amazing! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. The staff was super friendly! The food was so delicious! The pita and oil was so good! I recommend the Shish Taouk with the potatoes! Their sangria was really good too! If you are looking for a good meal in Sunnyvale this is the place to go!
Yesterday we visited this restaurant and had an amazing experience from the moment we arrived. The staff was very welcoming, and the service was excellent throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious—everything was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The drinks were 10/10; the bartender did an outstanding job, Thanks Ashley. To finish, we enjoyed a delicious dessert that was the perfect ending to a great meal. I also want to highlight the manager, (Nikky) she is fantastic, kind, and a pleasure to see around the restaurant, always making sure everyone is comfortable and well taken care of. I highly recommend this place. The food, drinks, and service were all exceptional. Definitely worth visiting!
Our team of seven visited for a weekday lunch. Although we had requested indoor seating a day in advance, we were ultimately seated outside. Despite this, the food was enjoyable and the portions were well-suited for individuals. We sampled a variety of proteins, including chicken, lamb, and salmon, along with vegetarian options. Menu Highlights: Mansaf: Excellent and very creamy. Beriani Dajaj: Delicious. Mocktails: The Pineapple Ginger and Passionfruit drinks were both great. Note: The salmon in the Tabsi was a bit dry, and the Maza sampler was slightly small for a group of 6. Overall, it was a positive experience for the team.
Just got back from Dishdash in Sunnyvale – seriously a great find! It was surprisingly spacious inside, and the service was genuinely friendly. The kids devoured the Mango Yogurt, and that Kalai Chicken with the fresh bread was a winner. The Chilean Seabass (Tabsi) was incredible – so fresh and flavorful. The lamb and chicken combo was decent, but a little dry for our liking. Definitely worth a visit, though parking was a bit tricky. Maybe they could offer valet service during peak times.
I’ve been to Dishdash multiple times and loved it every time. Every dish I’ve tried has been great. This visit we ordered the beef kebab and Mashakaleh—both were hearty, flavorful, and generously portioned with lots of veggies (which I love). They also had their Christmas decor up, making the space feel especially cozy and homey. As usual, it was busy and bustling, and I really enjoy the vibe!
Dishdash was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The food was the real highlight—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish was cooked to perfection, with rich spices and fresh ingredients that really stood out. The portions were generous without compromising on quality. Overall, Dishdash exceeded my expectations and is definitely a place I’ll be returning to. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys great service and unforgettable food!
Good food, the place is decent for typical lunch breaks with work colleagues...grilled meats are of good quality. I would not advise having Turkish coffee as it has too much sediment coffee powder. Starter order of sharable dips with pita breads are addictive. Rice portions are large, so one must have a decent appetite to finish the main dish by yourself.
I have been visiting this Dishdash location for over 10 years, and while the service can be a gamble, the kitchen is remarkably consistent. We have a few non-negotiables every time we visit: Lamb Mansaf: Always tender and flavorful. Vegetarian Zahra: This roasted cauliflower dish is phenomenal. Interestingly, this seems to be the only Dishdash location that still serves it, and it's worth the trip alone. Fattoush Salad: Perfectly executed. It’s crunchy, tangy, and incredibly refreshing. The only downside is the service, which is hit-or-miss. During our most recent visit in February 2026, our server seemed rushed and lacked basic politeness. It’s a shame because the food is 5-star quality, but the hospitality doesn't always match. We’ll be back for the Zahra, but we've learned to set our expectations accordingly for the service
My wife and I went for an early dinner and we sat at the bar. Vicky the bartender was very friendly and recommended a Cabernet that was really very good. For dinner we had Shish Kebab (tender cubes of charbroiled dry-aged Lamb) and Shish Taouk (cubes of charbroiled free-range Chicken). Both dishes were really good and tasty.
4.5Star Dishdash Middle Eastern Cuisine (Sunnyvale) Service was polite, courteous, and very friendly. The overall décor was warm, inviting, and beautifully styled. The Mango Yogurt drink was fresh, creamy, and absolutely delicious — our kids loved it. The Kalai Chicken appetizer with freshly made bread was flavorful with a mild acidity that really opened up our appetite for the rest of the meal. The Tabsi (Chilean Seabass) was amazing! The fish tasted incredibly fresh, tender, delicate, and delicious. Highly recommended. The Mansaf Combo (Lamb & Chicken) had good flavor, but both meats were a bit dry and firm for our taste. The Arabic Coffee was strong, unique, and enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great service and standout dishes. Would definitely return!
We tried the Zahra rice dish with grilled cauliflower, garlic, onions, and yogurt—it was quite unique, though the spices felt a bit dominant at times. Overall, still enjoyable and different. We also had the Maza sampler, which comes with six different vegetarian items, one of which is made with eggplant( bonus if you like eggplant) overall a safe and satisfying choice, especially for falafel lovers. I forgot to take a picture of the sampler, but it was worth trying
Yesterday evening my partner and I had dinner at this restaurant as it was recommended to him and now I’d like to recommend this place to you. We arrived around 8:10pm on a Friday and although it was very busy we did not wait long. I went to the bathroom (clean & stocked) to wash my hands while my partner put his name on the list and we were seated shortly after I returned. I started with a fresh lemonade with mint, I don’t drink so this was perfect for me, a tasty drink for $5, not bad. There is complimentary bread and a dip. I’m not sure what was in the dip besides olive oil and sesame seeds but it was so good I asked for more. My partner and I ordered the Crab Falafel as an appetizer, recommended by our server, and it was delicious. The falafels were served over spinach with chopped tomatoes and a creamy sauce. I would definitely order it again next time. Then we shared two entrees: Kufta Kebab w/ Spiced Potatoes, and Suneyet Kufta w/ Basmati Rice. No pictures of the food but the Kebabs were served on top of seasoned potatoes with a side of asparagus along with two sauces, one green one white, both so tasty. The sauces really made that dish. The Suneyet is a stew and it came very hot (temp) which I love! The stew had basically the same kebabs and potatoes from the first dish along with other ingredients. We definitely would have been fine sharing just one entree, we finished the first dish but took most of the stew home. I’m looking forward to heating that up today. Of course there’s always room for dessert so we split the Baklava Crumble. I will be eating here again some time. My only complaint was this was our date night outing and I usually prefer a more intimate setting where we can sit on the same side of the table and not hear the conversation of those seated next to us. We were seated outside, which I do prefer most days, however the tables are extremely close together and the four top next to us was conversing very loudly. Plus, due to the tiny two person tables we were seated across from each-other.
Tried this Middle Eastern restaurant recently and had a pleasant experience overall! 🥙 Pita was soft and fresh — definitely a good start. 🥘 M’shakaleh (Veg) – A flavorful mix of veggies. I’d rate it 4/5. The rice served with it was especially tasty, but the dish itself could be made better — felt like it was missing a bit of punch. 🍗 Beriani Dajaj (Non-veg) – Loved this one! A flavorful dish that felt new and exciting to try. 4.5/5 and definitely recommend it. Portion sizes were generous — you’ll appreciate the value. 🍹 The mocktails were refreshing too. I personally liked the one with passion fruit the most. 🌿 However, there are few vegetarian options compared with non vegetarian options, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for variety. ✅ Overall, a pleasant experience with good food and a nice ambience. Worth a visit!
I have such mixed feelings about this restaurant. Some of the food was excellent and some was terrible. There was no in between. We went for dinner on a Saturday of the Thanksgiving weekend, and still the restaurant was quite full, which is impressive. The restaurant itself is pretty large with a lot of different sections. We were seated in the last section and the space itself was cozy. The service was attentive. Let me start by the things I loved The house pita with the zaatar dip is excellent. It is complimentary but was definitely one of the best things I ate that night. They were also not stingy with it, and we got two or three refills. The falafel was extremely fresh, and the toum was so garlicky and creamy. The muhamarra and rest of the mezze excellent as well was excellent as well. Although the portions for the mezze platter seemed a bit small. I loved, loved the mansaf. The lamb was so tender, and the yoghurt sauce was so flavourful. The kebab platter, however, was an utter disappointment. The lamp was hard and chewy extremely overcooked. The chicken was bland and the accompanying Brussels sprouts made no sense. My friends had the vegetarian entree and again, it was pretty disappointing. The egg plants were burnt to point where it tasted a bit better. The falafel were all soggy in the sauce and did not feel like falafel. Felt like a poorly executed dish. If I am back again, I will just get the mansaf as it was so good.
