Excellent service. The atmosphere is inviting. Bands are always good. Even when they have Jam nights every Tuesday and 2 Thursdays every month.
The bar tender is super fun and attentive. Haven't tried the food but the vibes and people are fun! Recommend going to karaoke nights. Good old dive/country bar vibes. Always fun!
Saw a great band at the Quarter Note - Generation Zedd. They played 90's music and I couldn't believe how much they sounded like the actual 90's bands. Singer had a great voice and I loved the guitar playing. My wife and I had fun dancing to the music. Alexandra the bartender was also very nice and friendly. We'll definitely be back.
We were on Friday night. Live music, tequila shots for about $13 - Patron... Very good fries - recommend! People we nice and relaxed. They have a choice of craft beer which was nice as well. Nice local bar. Will probably attend it in the future.
I didn't order any food but I heard they have a really good pizza
Love the live music 🎶 also that there is a kitchen to order food. And great drinks also
So. Much. FUN!! Great people great music good food.
The band was great! I like there pizzas! I am from salt lake city, Utah! And I would like to have a diet coke ! Wear is there a waitress to offer a Me any other beverages to drink, besides beer? So I went without! It is not even stated on the menu?? That you have any!?
The Quarter Note has never disappointed me, in fact I do my best to make sure we go here when we are in town. Love the live music and karaoke. Stage setup is awesome and their bathrooms are always clean!
Love this joint! Folks are friendly, live music most days. Sun nights are jam nite , not just blues. The players skill ranges from beginners to seasoned pros. While there were times when I found it a tough listen, still its nice to know that if you wanna play, you're welcome there. I definitely had a good time when I got up there. And what a killer stage! At least 3ft. up of the floor, great system and the MC was cool. Went late too, which is a big plus in my book. Plus, DOG FRIENDLY, as long as you have a friendly dog! Next time my pooch is going with me, yay!
Had an incredible time at the Quarter Note Bar & Grill with friends! The music was top-notch, creating an unforgettable experience. The environment was perfect for watching live bands.
BEST KARAOKE BAR IN THE BAY AREA! HANDS DOWN! (Tuesdays & Wednesdays) And I've been to all of them. To the karaoke community, this place is really a diamond in the rough. Come here on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays. Seriously! Legit stage, sound, lighting, etc. Dancefloor too! Bartenders are good as well. I currently go here every Wednesday nights to feel like a superstar. 🤣
Update 3/10/18 Great band (Last Call) playing tonight! Excellent food from the kitchen. Strong drinks from the bar at reasonable prices. . Update 10/25/2017: upgraded to 5 stars. This place has grown on me. I'm enjoying the Quarter Note more and more every time I go there. They've added great food options at reasonable prices and kept the old time inviting atmosphere with generous pours and simple drinks. They have a great selection of beers on tap and in bottles. Karaoke night is a blast with the regulars and their friendly encouraging attitude towards newbies. Add live music Thursday through Sunday and you're set for a great time whenever you go there. Great dive bar with friendly regulars and good selection of beers. Karaoke on Tuesdays and live music on weekends.
Live bands play here?! I didn't know until I went to go see a local band (The Y Axes) perform. The place was packed! That night had an awesome lineup of performers and the bartendress was really sweet and friendly. Will go back again for music!
I love this place but they really have to improve the speed of the service
The food took a while to get there, but once it did it's delicious. The band was Turning Point. They played classic rock. It was a really fun time. We plan on going back again.
Best music ever. Thursday nights jazz and slight blues are amazing. The pool table always has amazing and friendly folk ready for a fame! Surprisingly good beer off the tap.
Love this place! The owner is amazing, melissa the bartender is great! Love the open jams on sundays and thursdays. It a great place to sing karaoke! The stage is awesome and people are super friendly there. I would give it 10 stars if i could! They opened up there kitchen and the food was awesome too!
Friendly neighborhood bar with lots of cold beer and good food items. We were there to hear Pacific Riot band play a fun gig with dancing! Great sound and atmosphere!
This place really is well liked by the locals. Came to see our good friend and coworker drop a few minutes on the mic and he didn't disappoint. Plenty of place to sit and enjoy a few drinks. Very friendly environment. We played a few games on the pool table. Definitely will be going back.
Great neighborhood bar. Sports on the tvs, live bands, karaoke or jam sessions. Hasn’t changed much since I was here years ago. Pool table was in good shape. They managed space well here. I expect it to be busy if you come on a live band night. Melissa the bartender had the best attitude and smile. Felt welcomed the moment I walked in the door. Thank you.
One of the best places to do karaoke, because you’re on a stage that actual live bands play on. So you can live the rock star life! They have it on Tuesday and Wednesday’s. It’s usually not crazy busy. And everyone is pretty friendly. They may be starting up serving food soon, so that will be awesome!
Came here twice for the Karaoke, best damn place in all of Sunnyvale if you ask me. Me and my wife enjoyed ourselves throughly💯 got the meet the Bartender and owner some amazing people and great drinks. Will be coming here regularly. Service 5/5 Drinks 5/5 Sound 5/5
Very legit place for awesome live music. Friendly bartender, she was a Gem. Love the Red Ale on tap too!!! Thanks, from Austin TX
Nothing fancy, just a homey dive bar filled with good people, great music, and pure magic :)

I guess you could call this a dive bar? The staff here are great. They are always friendly and helpful, if sometimes a little on the slow side. I go for karaoke on a regular basis and it's very fun! Everyone is so supportive.
I saw a live band, played some pool and drank some beer on tap. The place was packed and the people were having fun. The group was older, 40's-60's, so if you're in your 20's, you'll be out of place. But for us older folk, it's a welcone hideaway.
Great stage and sounded pretty good. They have a decibel meter on the wall so you are aware of how loud the room is, which I think is nice. A lot of old rockers and blues musicians enjoying each other's playing. If the music scene here in this town is lacking, it isn't for lack of a good venue. This place is awesome.
suggestion: i know volumes are an issue and i think if they invest in getting a decent roland electric even alesis is good. now set it and forget it. 1 volume and no complaints
Best wine in the South Bay, believe it or not! VJB Cellars Primitivo and Family Rosso!
Came here for the first time today on a Friday night and had a lovely time . The band Vida blues was playing and we were dancing . The drink I had ( jam session ) was really strong and I loved it . 2 live bands played and it was fun jamming to the music and dancing . The crowd was vibing well and everyone was having a good time . The owner was very friendly and I absolutely loved the dog Lulu . This place is so worth the visit
The atmosphere is very warm. The owner is a great guy, very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a pizza and it was very hot and tasted delicious. Greetings to the owner from the Colombians.

Last night sept 27th, 5 of us came to get drinks and chill out. We were greeted at the door by a nice young lady and 2 quite, but still chill guys. The explained that there was an event for Turkish music happening and that it was almost like a private event. They did give us the option of paying $50.00 per head to get in, but that wasn’t a thing feel me? Either way im leaving this review because no lie Ive never seen that many beautiful Turkish women waiting to get in to what looked like a modest bar/venue. I think I saw my future wife there, well I wont know for sure cause I wasn’t paying the 50 to get it. If you went Im already knowing you had a good ass time. Can’t leave a review on the food or service since we didn’t even make it in, but on vibes alone? 5 stars. P.s. Pony tail, black mini dress shawty hmu.
It's very karaoke. Not many people dance and most of the people sing really good. You sing up on a stage with lights and smoke machine. Lots of locals go
Great place for live music of all sorts. Kind of a warehouse feel with a high stage (+4'?), decent stage lighting, a decent sound system that is capped at a certain decibel level by order of the City of Sunnyvale, but it's all the volume you'll need to dance, yell your drink order, and fit in with the 30s to 60s age range crowd. And the crowd isn't usually too crowded. I've never seen it pack-packed, it's always been comfortable, medium, or thin in attendence. Weekend band cover charge is usually $10. Tuesday and Thursday, or at least one of those nights, is karaoke... It's free and it's usually not a long wait to get your stage time, then cycle through again for your next one. It's casual karaoke, sometimes work groups of 30-somethings singing duets, old guys grunting out something barely intelligible, and/or the wannabe rocker doing his/her best but not great high pitched hairband screams with bull horn hand gesture raised overhead. Thursdays and Sundays are Jam Night with the house band/group/people, no cover. Bring your honed or budding talent and an instrument or voice or maybe borrow an instrument from the house (maybe) and let's see what ya got. These are great nights to watch free live rock, blues, R&B, and sometimes some of the other genres. And. There's. A. Pool Table. Lots of free, well lit parking since it's in an industrial complex, and that's good because you may need the money you save on parking for the drinks, which I wish had that "warehouse feel" pricing but is a little more like "civic center" ($8 for a craft beer or low-shelf mixed drink). I would comment on the main/lead bartender, but I have such a big crush on her I'd rather you just didn't know. Nothing to see here, place your order and move along back to a table with your friends. Go on, shew! But getting back to your friends isn't always going to happen quickly, and you may wait a little while for that drink sometimes, but it's usually some kind of entertaining when you do. Open til 2-ish a.m. almost every night they're open. Closed Mondays. Kitchen is finally open again post-Covid, but I have no idea what the kitchen hours are... You have to do a little work on your own here, sheesh. Be sure to tell them you read Six's Google review and you may get a free drink or price! But more likely that you will not. Very unlikely, actually. But you never know...
Went to see the cover band Hired Killers on a Saturday night. Very relaxed atmosphere and the crowd was lively and fun, but only 1 staff was on duty so ordering anything more than drinks was quite difficult. Good experience but they do need to add staff as required; this would surely bump up their sales for busy events such as the one I've just described.
Cool hidden away local (dive?) bar! Wouldn’t have even known it existed excepts friends band issues there. Looks like regulars must frequent the place. Decent set of beers on tap. Pool table. Some scattered seating. Great music atmosphere. I think the mic audio could be slightly improved cuz it was a little distorted but it’s all good. Clearly a little older crowd.

I went on a Tuesday and Wednesday that's when they have karaoke night. It was lots of fun you put your name in a book and put the name of the song in the singer and then they call your name when you're ready to be up on stage. Everyone enjoy everyone singing. And their food is excellent it is a lot for one person. And they let you have your service dogs in there too if they are licensed. It is a great atmosphere inside and out. I would recommend this for parties and birthdays the people there are very friendly and polite and there are hardly no drunks in there to be ignorant.
The karaoke crowd is the worst around. They think they can sing but they can't. Tone deaf the lot of them. You better like dogs as the owner let's his run free.

First of all, this little gem of a (true) Dive Bar; is in a little shopping center, in an industrial area. The atmosphere is down home, old school, blues-jazz club. Thursday night jams are the best night for music & dancing. All musicians/singers are welcome to join in! (Not karaoke! These are all true musicians). The drinks are inexpensive and strong. The only drawback is: we've had our credit card hacked TWICE after coming here. We continue to go, but ONLY BRING CASH now. Do NOT leave your c/c at the bar. Play some pool, (1 table), buy a drink and listen/dance to some GREAT Blues/Jazz/Funk/R&B. Monday night is Dana's Band. They are just getting into their groove, but their dance music makes you get out on the floor!!
Food is your typical bar food and it's pretty good. The food rating encompasses their food and KJs. As a frequent patron over the past 3 years, I have loved this place. They will change the price on you or charge you for things like refills on soda without informing the patron of this until he is left puzzled with an $20+ tab, that consisted of 1 coke with 3 refills (1 because the first was flat) and 5 dollars in quarters for pool. When confronted with the inquiry of the price changes and whether or not they were ever going to tell customers this or not, their response was "Well, we have to pay the entertainment somehow. It is never fun when a place you feel comfortable at takes advantage of you. My advice is just ask questions and double check the answers because they do and will change depending on the night and whoever is behind the bar. KJ RODEL AND SID ARE THE REASON I KEEP COMING BACK! They are the 5 star service I rated.
Drinks too expensive compared to other similar bars ($8 for a Coors Light???) and karaoke on pool league night are my main grievances. The pizza also gave me horrible heartburn, but maybe that’s just my problem.
Music showcase was great. Food was not as advertised + not good. #1) No tomatoes, basil on our Margherita #2) No bacon, pepperoni, mushrooms or bell peppers on the Quarter note I drove a long way and spend a good chunk of money at your bar and you couldn't even serve me the items listed on both pizzas that we ordered. Why bother??? I don't expect bar food to be the best food ever, but I do expect to get what I order and pay for. Plus I could barely eat the cardboard...or so you claim, pizza.
First bar I left thirsty. After trying to get the attention of the completely overwhelmed lady behind the bar for quite some time, we gave up and enjoyed the live music we paid for. Eventually she came over raising our hopes just to immediately crush them asking if we paid our cover charge (as if you can get through the door any other way) and once we confirmed, turned away again. Bar was unstaffed several times that night. Eventually we went somewhere else for drinks after enjoying some more music. Don’t come here if you are looking for a drink. Otherwise decent vibe.

We will probably never support this establishment again after the owner started yelling at my wife. Clearly, my wife had had enough alcohol so I asked the owner not to bring her drinks anymore. Yet she kept bringing drinks until my wife fell asleep with her feet on the chair. That's when she woke my wife up and started yelling at her, saying her husband was going to be angry too, saying something about him being in the military, as a threat, if my wife didn't put her feet down. We paid our tab and left as the music wasn't all that good anyway.
