Drive thru line was long. 11 min to 1st window. Got to the second window and the wait begins. Food always worth the wait

Food and service were good. Restaraunt and bathrooms were real clean. The honey butter chicken biscuit was dripping delicious.

Chicken fajita taco was good, afterwards I felt sick nauseous and diarrhea all evening n night,

Although the service was a little slow the workers sure did make up for it! Great people work here and they are very helpful. I requested a difficult order and was not let down by no means! I was told it would take a little longer and asked if I minded the wait. Of coarse not! Here I am inconveniencing yall let me pull up and gladly wait. I never had to get out of my car and they brought it all to me and it was hot fresh and of coarse DELICIOUS. Whataburgure you never let me down!

Whataburger has such great burgers and now that the Buffalo Chicken sandwich is temporarily back, I will be stopping by even more. I have stopped by this particular Whataburger numerous times and it is always clean and the staff is always prompt to take your order and courteous.

I recently visited the Whataburger in Sweetwater, Texas, and I have to say, this is hands down the best location in the entire state of Texas. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly smiles and exceptional customer service. The staff here really goes above and beyond to make sure every customer feels welcome and taken care of. The food, as always, was top-notch. My burger was cooked to perfection, with fresh ingredients and that signature Whataburger taste that we all know and love. The fries were crispy and golden, and my drink was perfectly refreshing. It's clear that this location takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency. What really sets this Whataburger apart, though, is the atmosphere. The restaurant was spotless, and the seating area was comfortable and inviting. It's the perfect place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. If you're ever in Sweetwater, do yourself a favor and stop by this Whataburger. You won't be disappointed!

Very dependable for a quick meal. The burgers are usually not overcooked as happens so often. They use very fresh lettuce and tomatoes on their burgers. Staff is friendly and efficient.

Passing through omw to my cousins wedding in San Angelo. They forgot to give me my apple pie, but the food was so damn good they still get 5 stars. I’ve been to many locations, with that said. This might be the best tasting whataburger I’ve ever had in my life.

I want to brag on the only two employees working this location around 7 AM. Although the drive through was crazy long, and the lobby had customers waiting to order, the sweet lady taking orders kept her calm and greeted each customer apologetically and with a smile. The cook was working diligently to get orders out in a timely manner. They handled working short handed professionally!!

Have stopped here countless times over the years and have never been disappointed. Food is always hot and top quality. Service is acceptable and the employees are very accommodating (even making me a Dr. Pepper shake even though it wasn't on the Menu then). The only issue you may run into is long waits and large crowds, but otherwise its a solid 10/10.

This has to be the best burger I’ve had in a while and definitely the best from a Whataburger. Service was Farley quick and I’d say fast food a Whataburger. My only complaint is no napkins in bag. I will definitely stop here again. I’m definitely glad Taco Bell has Ai taking your order and can’t get it right.

There were a bunch of kids in there with their Mom's coughing hence the 4 stars on atmosphere but the food and service are great here!

Went at a busy time, so it took a long time BUT the young man working the second lane apologized as he walked up to our truck. I swear, that apology alone made it all better. Food was correct and hot.

10/10 experience. This is the cleanest Whataburger and quite possibly the cleanest restaurant we’ve ever been to. Sparkling clean. Super friendly service. Brian was so friendly and didn’t stop cleaning the whole time we were there. They were so kind to our kids at the counter and gave them coloring sheets. Food was hot, quick, and good. It was swamped with 2 teams of football players and cheerleaders, fans and the drive in was swamped. They handled it well. It took 45 minutes to get our food. That is not a complaimt. It was hot and fresh. Great job on handling their business professionally.

Fries and burgers always come out nice and fresh, fast and easy service per usual and can vary depending on how busy, but overall a friendly and warm environment with a great working crew. I live in west Texas and travel to North Texas on occasion. Every time I make the trip, I make it a point to stop at THIS Whataburger and rave about it to anyone who will listen. The food is always hot and fresh. The staff is always friendly no matter how busy or slow they are. The restaurant is always clean even at the busiest times. I gave 4 start for atmosphere bc a lot of times there is only 1 working toilet in the ladies restroom and days like today (very busy) a long line forms between the restroom, counter to order and the front door.

Visited on 2.2.205. I have stopped at numerous Whataburger locations in my travels across Texas, and this one is by far the BEST. The Chicken strips were fried to perfection, the French fries were fresh, the white gravy was thick and creamy, and the Texas toast was excellent. The Strawberry Shake was blended to the correct thickness, and Monique was awesome working the register. I will definitely make it a point to eat at this Whataburger again when I travel through Sweetwater. BRAVO to the staff that was working around 6pm!!!

The manager Alice Melish has an absolutely amazing work ethic and such a wonderful crew you can tell she has the skill to keep everything organized, clean and in order! Fast service & nice employees! The manager brought out our order & was very kind. I ordered the Jalapeño & Cheese hamburger, & added ketchup & mayo. The ketchup & mayo made the hamburger very messy to eat on the road, because of the heavy hand with the condiments, but it was still good. The French fries were delicious, not oily & the containers were filled! It was a nice pit stop for dinner & bathroom on our road trip. I’d also like to mention the bathrooms were also decent.

The manager was incredibly attentive, not only to the customers but also to his staff, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The tables were cleared quickly. burgers were hot and fresh

Wanted a burger so made a quick trip for a 4th of July lunch. Not too many people in the drive through but they were a little slow and asked for the order name about 3 times. I didn't mind them taking a while considering I know some places in town are understaffed and it's a holiday. Overall, food is always good and made how it's asked. Never have an issue with that.

Stopped there for quick lunch... Well, it was packed and, therefore, slow. But the service was exceptionally cordial and friendly. The food tasted good and that's one thing I ask for the most.

I have yet to find a bad Whataburger. Did not get a picture, but I got the Hatch burger. It was good. It was only warm. The fries were not hot. The thing about Whataburger is hot or cold it is still good. Shocked me when they asked for my name. All the local ones I got to just give you a number. I wax sitting waiting on my food and someone screams my name over the crowd. A little embarrassing, but I guess effective for finding the person who placed the order. Very clean restaurant for how busy they were.

Only problem I had was the Coke... It was flat like their syrup/CO2 mix was out of balance. Otherwise, EXCELLENT! Hot fries and burger, clean store, friendly crew. Good stop. 😊

Food is good and serves is pretty fast

The food was good, but I can definitely compare it to a Sonic or Jack in the Box. It wasnt anything spectacular like I had expected coming here for the first time. I basically "needed" to try it because well, the whalberg family. I guess I expected more. They were still good. Nothing bad to say, they were still very yummy.

We were passing thru town and stopped to eat lunch. They were very busy. The food was good. I'm being very picky in saying that the fries were little crunchy. The taste of everything was very good though. The only minor issue was that I had to ask for ketchup, but again they were very busy and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great food! Clean restaurant! The service personnel did a great job, but seems like every Whataburger I've been to lately, is so slow. I mean 15-20 minutes is way too long to call yourself a fast food establishment.

Being from Ohio, we don't have Whataburger. However I've heard about it from my west coast and southwestern friends so I had to try it while in Houston. I had the patty melt whatameal. The drink was massive, fries were well salted and fresh and the sandwich had a good weight and taste to it. I sandwich I've now had twice in my two days here. The only reason I gave it 4 * is the fries were basically like McDonald's fries and I was hoping for something different so that was a bit of a letdown. I will probably stop by Whataburger one more time before I leave Texas!

4 stars on a fast food joint ain't bad yo. 😂🤷 Remember few years back when the store looked like a big upsidedown V, and the burgers were massive ...yeah me too. My wife loves to go here. So lol I go too. Usually too cold inside so bring a jacket 🥶 Oh right off I 20 so easy to slip off hwy and grab some grub. Also a plus is the Tea ❤️ got sweet and unsweetened so ya can mix it up however. Also got that special ice, in the styrofoam cups ! Keep that drink colder longer without it sweating in the cars cupholder.

The last few times we ordered from here the burgers weren't made as ordered or it was cold. It use to be a lot better.

They say whenever in Texas you need to stop and try whataburger, so I did. Not bad, but I’ll stick to in n out by far.

Always a fan of whataburger, but I ordered a Green Chile Double, was charged for a Green Chile Double, and got home to find only a single meat patty on my burger. I can see forgetting a slice of cheese or a topping but how do you forget an entire meat patty on a menu item that's always a double?

Whataburger is a fast-food restaurant known for its delectable burgers and fries. However, my recent experience at the location left me slightly frustrated due to the exceptionally slow service. After placing my order, I waited for over 15 minutes, which disrupted my schedule as I was expecting a speedy fast-food experience. On the positive side, the food was served hot and fresh, and the flavors were satisfying. Unfortunately, the disappointing wait time overshadows an otherwise enjoyable meal.

This was by far the busiest or most understaffed Wataburger I have ever been to. We were on a road trip and went inside because we thought it would be faster and more comfortable. It took us over an hour to order and eat. There was only one open register and the cashier was apparently new. Plus, they messed up our order and had to fix what they charged us. Maybe it's just one of the most popular places to eat around there on a Sunday but I've never had a Wataburger take that long in my life. Food was still consistent Wataburger food...

The food is great, but these poor employees are being worked to death. You can tell they're trying and doing what they can, but they need more staff. We did curbside pickup, and it took over an hour to get our food. I am a local, and it is always like this. Corporate, where are you at? Help out your team!

I have looked over reviews about service. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with management. The lady manager was yelling all those employees almost the whole time we were eating inside. Loud and clear for the busy lobby to hear. The manager with the Whataburger bow clip in her hair and the lady with the striped shirt walked out with these grins like they owned that place. When they left it looked like the employees took a deep breathe of some relief. The young petite girl with a gray shirt was extremely kind and attentive, despite having to deal with these so called managers. I'm sure these employees don't say anything out of fear. Very sad. Disgusting how employees get treated, it's not that serious ladies.

Mustard is the default on burgers. Initially got my order wrong. And forgot fries on redo order. But the Burger without mustard is good. Fries are mid.

Food taste and quality is inconsistent. Cost….crazy. Yesterday, I ordered the chicken fajita taco. It was $12 (med combo) and the taco was smaller than the breakfast taquito. The employee was bringing the food out, stops and said, “Do you want fresh fries?” In my head, I thought,” Nope, I prefer them to have the consistency of a lawn dart, thanks….” What my mouth doesn’t say, my face definitely does and no sooner were the words out when and they turned around and went and made french fries. And please, for the love of God, fix the radio, so that more than five songs play in a rotation. I was in there for approximately 30 to 40 minutes and this is no exaggeration, I heard getting jiggy with it by Will Smith five times. The staff was having conversations that I cannot even put suggestions on the topic of on here.

Whataburger has been my go to for over 40 years. I was on a long 9 hour journey today when I made a pit stop at this Whataburger in Sweetwater, Texas. Located off of I-20, this location was at the perfect place so that I can pick up some coffee and some breakfast. I drove up to an empty drive thru around roughly 4am CST and placed my order...a large cup of coffee with 2 Splenda and two creams and 3 chorizo and egg breakfast taquitos. My total was around 18 bucks or so. I figured i'd eat these along my trip down to McAllen, Texas. When I got to the drive thru, the window opened and was told that Chorizo and egg taquitos were not served at that location. I was stunned. I thought all Whataburgers served them. I politely told them no problem, but I will take the coffee. Let face it... I needed the coffee. They asked, oh so you dont want the taquitos then? I answered well no... I asked for chorizo and egg and you just informed me that your location does not serve that. Well, it took anywhere between 5-7 minutes for my cup of coffee. They gave me the coffee on the house because of the wait. I tasted it and coffee was black. I should have asked again for the 2 Splenda and 2 creams. It will be a while before I stop at this Whataburger located off of I 20 in Sweetwater, Texas again.

Texas Whataburger seemed different than the Florida ones. The one I went to in Florida cooked in front of you and asked what you wanted on it. Chipotle style. This one is Texas was more burger king style. Anyways messed up my order the first go a round due to I'm allergic to dairy and it came with cheese. Also the lady who brought food to table you could tell she hated her job.

Dear Sweetwater Whataburger: Your food is great. Your people are overworked and stressed. Counter service tonight was non existent because everyone was focused on the drive through. The employees were working as hard as possible. Your staffing is not fair to your customers or employees. Clearly you need to pay more to get more people to work. If you have to raise prices, we’ll just have to deal. Is time of day pricing inconceivable? Raise all your prices by 25% between 9p and 4a and use the proceeds to hire staff. High prices stink, but poor service is worse. Edited: Now that I’ve time to read other reviews, it’s clear that you’ve been hearing complaints for months and just don’t care because nothing has been done. That’s a shame to the Whataburger brand.

10/2/23 no soap in the dispenser and sink was nasty for the 3 rd visit straight. I paid $.65 for 3 jalapeño slices on my burger. When I brought this the the manager’s attention all she said was “oh, sorry bout that” Shame on me. 1st time is your fault. Needless to say I will not be coming here until management is corrected.

I give this place 2 stars. Why? Because they forgot my 2nd breakfast sandwich a couple of days ago. And then today, they didn’t give me either one of my orders of hashbrowns!! Very disappointed!!!

Stop by driving to Ft. Worth. . Ordered our food. The young lady taking order was very nice and polite. We waited about 20 mins for our food. While waiting, about 3 people walked in complaining that their food was cold or not correct that they received from the drive-thru. We finally get our food walk to our car, and fries are cold like they have been sitting for hours and one of the burgers was made wrong.. it was a stop, I regretted. I'm a big fan of Whataburger, but this location was not on it!!!. 3 stars for the young lady service . Inside the restaurant was clean. Food was just bad!! Hope it gets better, doing Whataburger and Texas wrong.

I ordered a #4 (jalapeno and cheese Whataburger) on toast add mayo with large onion rings and two orders of fries. Came on bun. Cheese was barely warm and not melted. Patty was barely warm. It's not all bad. The fries and rings were hot and delicious!

Slow and inefficient, took 32 minutes after ordering online for the order to be ready. It was busy, but should not have been that long for 1 single patty melt. After 31 minutes, I went to check for the second time (the first time that I checked since 20 minutes prior), to make sure that my order was in the queue at all. She went back and immediately came back with it. How long was it ready before they brought it out to me? I was in a rush, so this was real annoying. But I can't lie, burger tasted good. If you can get here when they are not busy, it's probably decent service. But when it's busy, they're screwed.

Terrible lunch. I waited 20 minutes at the outside lane drive thru for a Whataburger meal, making me late for an oil change appointment. Their signature burger takes 20 minutes? Fries are stone cold, no napkins in the bag and I didn't get the ketchup I wanted. Not good for a 20 minute wait. Won't stop at Sweetwater location again.

Its a shame u cant even get a complete order of fries just because u ask for the fries with no salt. This is what I recieved half filled because i asked for no salt which is also the reason I ordered a small fry because I knew i wouldnt even get a whole large fry because of the request. Im paying for it so why is such a hassle when u ask for fries no salt for something I spent my money on to be complete and no half ass filled.

I felt really bad for the staff, they looked like they were trying their best, the drive thru guy who took out payment was sweating and seemed overwhelmed, but he was sweet. I noticed another employee with gloves on and he walked to one of the cars outside man’s gave them their drink with the gloves still on, then he touched the handle of the building door, and I saw him inside touching things in the kitchen with the same gloves on, he never changed them out. Took over an hour to get my food.. finally had to ask for a manager so I could get my money back because it took so long.. manager came out with my order, didn't want it anymore because of how long it took.. asked for my money back.. got my refund and they gave me the food anyways.. was only 2 minutes from mine and my wife's hotel room.. got to the room and food was cold.. like had been sitting out for an hour cold. Food was poorly put together, my 3 yr Old can make a better burger than they did.

The bathroom was beyond filthy. The entire floor of the bathroom had about an eighth of an inch layer of urine and not just under the urinal. The sink had a film of dirt on it that had obviously not been touched for days. It was sickening. The walls were filthy. I asked to speak with the manager and all she said was, “I know, we’re getting to it.“

All around bad 👎 from kitchen and staff from lobby to managers screaming at customers and employees in kitchen all orders come out very slowly and most of the time wrong. Dirty tables and lobby most the time and don't get me started on the lack of bathrooms and building cleaning.

Terrible experience here! Was charged extra for sauce that on the app said was included with the item we ordered. Tried to show the employee working. He got a manager and when she came over she didn’t even look at me. Took the sauces back and then gave me .80 cents back. Didn’t look up or say a word. I had the app up to show where it said the sauce was included. After traveling through Texas and noticing Whataburger had pretty good customer service this was a bad experience. Won’t come back and changes our opinion on the brand.

Upon arriving home my sister found a long dark hair in her fries and when inspecting further she found two more long dark hairs. This was absolutely disgusting and ridiculous. Please do better, we will NOT be returning back to this location. So glad we have a Freddy’s to go to for better service and more importantly better food!

My girlfriend and I were in line at the drive through and waited for 5 minutes before someone greeted us at the speaker, and another five minutes before someone even acknowledged us when we were at the window. I went inside and spoke with the manager and shared that we were in line for literally 30 minutes from the speaker to the window and she did not care. I’ve never had service like this ever. This was my VERY FIRST WhatABurger as I’m from Colorado. Please don’t open locations in my state please.

Horrible service. Placed an online order 30 minutes ago and still never received my food. Sitting in the lobby while drive through if going faster. How does that make any sense? Of course I gotta go work in the morning and can't even get a fast food meal. 40 minutes and still counting. More people coming in getting their orders. I've called and even asked personally Where's my order. It's straps and cakes how long does that take?

Ridiculously bad service, girl on the counter is flirting with the couple of customers with no care for other customers in line. Took 20 minutes just for a salad even though I confirmed it’s available while other items were taking forever. Forgot to give fries even though I paid for it.

The employee taking orders at the window was RUDEEEEEEE, she kept answering back is my mother unprofessional! 3 pm on 11/28/2025

Did take out, and all of our 3 burgers were all messed up. As people traveling from out of town, this is frustrating. Worst location ever.

Was passing through town and stopped here at about 3am. This was by far the most disgusting Whataburger I've ever been to. Bathrooms were overflowing with trash and smelt like rotting meat. I got chicken wings with honey butter sauce for my daughter and she said it tasted like coleslaw and about 7hrs later she was throwing up non stop. The ladies working were rude and just talking about why they got fired from McDonald's...it was just a horrible experience all together. Day time might be different but I'm not stopping here when I pass through again.

Long waits and dirty tables; totally disappointed about my experience at this Whataburger! They have drive-thru and lots of free parking; nevertheless the service and food are unacceptable. Took forever for my one-burger order to get ready.

Nope, took 20 minutes in the drive through. When I asked what the hold up was, the cashier said he didn’t know. I get to my hotel and find my “large” fries was about 3/4 filled. Total for 1 meal was $14.33 and then they forgot the cheese, but didn’t forget to charge me for it. Had to go back up there after already being in my hotel room.

Very disappointing experience. I waited in line for 9 minutes while employees were more focused on discussing Instagram likes and followers than taking orders. Customers’ time clearly wasn’t a priority. I ended up leaving without ordering and won’t be coming back. On another note the girl running the drive thru window was nice and efficient. Was helped at the speaker immediately and had my food in 4 min

The cashier was really rude. If she didn’t want to be at work she should have called in..! But on the plus side. The food was wonderful it was a 10/10.. good job cooks!!!

The whataburger single and double meat patties were awful. The beef patties were tasteless and seemed to not be 100 % beef. Tasted like it was made with a meat filler. I've ate at Whataburger for years and this was the worst at Sweetwater, Texas.

Waited 20 minutes in drive thru line, at a absolute stop. Went inside to see if i can just get the kids meal chicken I ordered. Went inside only to wait 10 more minutes before anyone even greeted anyone. They were just yelling at each other in the back. But there is like 10 people working. So poorly managed

If I could give 0 stars I would, went through the drive through around dinner ordered three meals large, they gave me everything but my fries. Called manager CAROL, she was very nice and said she will remake the entire order for me since I live 30 mins out , & some of my food was stolen, cool. I get there and I’m met at at the second window being questioned, rudely. Mexican lady closed window in my face as I was speaking because she asked me if I wanted both onions… Second Lady sees my husband’s hand wrapped up and as she is holding the bag I tell her one second he only has nine fingers, he just previously lost one, and still proceeds to have no patience with him grabbing the bag of drinks “your gonna drop it” rude as could be, practically threw the drinks at him. THIRD lady who brought the food just tossed it on his lap didn’t even wait for us to grab the bag of food… I would stay away from this place if you want the bare minimum customer service, big shout out to CAROL, you are a nice lady.
