Great fresh food, friendly staff and good value!!

The staff's willingness to accommodate a last minute customer was very professional. I've been here a few times during normal hours but I was running late from work and arrived 10 minutes before closing. The staff was very friendly and helpful and make one killer sandwich! Thank you so much for fulfilling my quest for dinner and accommodating me last minute. It makes me feel appreciated as a long time customer!

This was my first time visiting The Brooklyn Pickle, as well as the city of Syracuse. I had the Brooklyn Pickle Special half sub, and it was delicious! I highly recommend it. I would have taken a picture to show others how much food you get (big portions, but nothing ridiculous), but I was so hungry, I ate it up lol I also got some garlic pickles. They were tender and also delicious.

It seems every time I order food these days it’s wrong, missing something, or the food is gross. However, that was not the case here! Several of us ordered food during weekday lunch time for pickup. The food was delicious, everything was correct, and it was accurate according to a couple details provided in the description. A+!

Syracuse NY staple and must stop if you are in the area. Massive sandwiches and great customer experience. Wide menu offering and plenty of sides made in house. With how busy this location is at lunch, they move the line quickly. Restaurant is always clean and plenty of seating. Parking lot is large as well, easy on and off from I-690.

The Brooklyn Pickle has hands down some of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted! Their chicken and tuna salads are excellent, but for the real treat try the signature Brooklyn Pickle Special Sandwich.

Went here on my way through NY to show my fiancee a NY deli. It isn't what I picture when I think deli but it was good all the same. Good meats, the Mac and cheese was so so but I generally don't get hot items at a deli anyway. Potato salad wasn't bad. All in all at was a decent experience to share.

Been coming here my whole life. Food hasn't changed much. The garlic pickles on my sub is why I keep coming back and corned beef Sandwich in mid March is my St. Patty's tradition. Sandwich makers keep the Line moving fast. Have to have a Dr. Browns with my sandwich too.

Our server, Karen, was the sweetest lady! Made sure to check if all the toppings were okay for our sandwiches, and double checked what kind of bread my wife and I wanted. She was also very patient when my wife was making her decision! The line was out the door, yet we still only stood in line before being served for MAYBE 10 minutes at most! The sandwiches are huge! With 1Lb of meat on each one! Thier selection of meats, breads, toppings and drinks are great! Enough to be creative, but not so many to be overwhelming! Karen also allowed me to b try a bite of the Chicken Riggies before I ordered some, to make sure I liked them. Which was awesome because I ordered a large container to go! Seating was very open! We gotba window sest near the tree they had up!

This place has a nice atmosphere, I enjoyed the vibe in here. I got a ham salad sub that was really tasty! Not many places offer ham salad so I was delighted to see it on the menu. My sub was made really quickly and with a drink and a side it was around $12. Not bad for a full meal! Great quick place to grab a bite with friends.

Awesome sandwiches! I tried their Pastrami sandwich in half size and that was plentiful for me. It was very delicious. They also serve soups. And their Kansas City steak soup was on point. I highly recommend trying their soups. Staff members were very polite. Prices are very reasonable. I'll be definitely coming back!

I didn't actually visit the shop, I ordered on Grubhub but this is hands down the best sandwich I've ever had. I got the Brooklyn Pickle Special sub and I'll get this every time I visit NY. I also got the Funky Fusion chips and the cream cheese brownie and they are delicious as well.

Lived in Syracuse my whole life and this is my first time trying Brooklyn Pickle! Everyone inside was very friendly and quick service all around! The Cajun Turkey Sandwich was very refreshing, full of flavor, and the customization options for each sandwich is awesome! The Dirty chips are extremely good and I recommend the Jalapeño chips. This place has such a delicious sandwich. My colleagues and I dropped by for lunch and I was thoroughly impressed. Not only that, we all ordered whole sandwiches and I was thrilled only one who devoured mine. You won’t be disappointed.

From a modest beginning sometime in the 1970's working out of what looked like an old remodeled service station near the corner of Burnet and Midler in Syracuse, NY, the Brooklyn Pickle has grown because it remains true to their original ideas of fresh clean ingredients, large generous portions, always fresh bread, and quick service. You can expect a healthly portion of a sandwich regardless of which sandwich you choose to order. You can also expect some nice soups and some yummy sweet treats. I have yet to find a better egg and olive sandwich at any sandwich shop anywhere.

I've always loved Brooklyn Pickle but after all these years, I finally tried the Neptune Stew. Amazing! If you've been, you already know the sandwiches are great, they weigh the meat to make sure your sandwiches are monsterous.

Crowded during the lunch time yet the lines went fast. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was even better than all of those put together.

Unbelievable Sammies. Go with the Brooklyn Special Sandwich. Corned beef, pastrami on rye with Swiss cheese and Russian dressing, hold the veggies, but signature dill pickles on the side. Fantastic. I only wish they served beer, but that won't hurt my rating. You can always get a Sammy to go like I do every time I go through Syracuse.

This place is awesome. The food is affordable and delicious! The staff were so nice and you could tell they take so much pride in what they do. The girl who took my order was beaming while telling me that her dad personally made the chicken riggies I was ordering, and they were so good!! I wished I had ordered more, but for less than $9, a bowl of them was a very filling lunch. I was only in this place for a few minutes and everything about their business impressed me, but especially the people. They had a big impact on my day and I'll definitely be back.

Great lunch spot for a quick sandwich! You walk in, grab some chips and a bottled drink, and they also have a cooler with salads like macaroni and potato plus cheesecakes for dessert. The line moves pretty fast, so I recommend checking out the menu before you get to the counter.

We love Brooklyn Pickle and usually sit down to eat at the North location and get takeout at the east location. Today we were by the East location and decided to stop. The line was problem longer than I’ve seen it in a while, but it was worth it. The portion sizes are so huge, you can literally get 2 meals for the price of one. Thanks for the great lunch!

This was our first time ordering from Brooklyn Pickle and it certainly didn't disappoint. Absolutely delicious 😋. My husband ordered a Cajun turkey and American cheese with Lettuce, tomatoes, mayo on full sub. I ordered a roast beef, American cheese, tomatoes and mayo on a full sub. In addition we had a bowl of "Neptune soup". OMG the subs are packed with meat and are absolutely delicious. The soup was pretty decent but could have used more seasoning. However, I understand for dietary purposes they probably made it that way. The establishment was very clean and welcoming. They were fully staffed and the line moved quickly considering the crowd. The staff were professional and very friendly. The only thing I wish they had and don't carry is deli sliced Cajun chicken, Buffalo chicken or Chipotle. We will certainly be returning customers and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing sandwich 🥪.

You really can't go wrong here. It's a good sandwich with better quality ingredients than sandwich/sub chains. The service is pretty quick as they have multiple order takers at different stations. They have a variety of other items and an extensive beverage selection. What makes them unique is that they don't skimp on their meat portions. It's no Carnegie deli portion but it is a very fair amount. The sandwich makers never touch the money. They yell out the order to the money handler and they come to you to take payment. They are efficient and delicious.

If you ever want a fantastic sandwich in Syracuse. There's no better place than Brooklyn Pickle. You won't leave here hungry. My only complaint is why do they still charge for refills. I don't think I've been to a restaurant in the past 10 years that has ever charged.

A well oiled machine designed to service regulars. Excellent quality ingredients, and for the most part, assembled pretty well. Had their take on a reuben/pastrami and a tuna fish on wheat. Tuna Fish was fresh but lacked any seasoning whatsoever. I'd add some sort of vinegar-y condiment to liven it up. The Brooklyn special had perfectly cooked and sliced pastrami. Seasoned well, it could have had a touch more of the sauce or added some mustard to round it out. Would return.

The sandwiches are essentially two sandwiches on normal bread. If you get gluten free bread and do a "whole" it's two sandwiches. I am gluten free, dairy free, and egg free and enjoy coming here for a sandwich now and then. The only thing I do not like about this place is they ALWAYS ask for your whole order upfront and do not remember everything. I really do wish that would change. Otherwise I find everything else good and the pickles are my favorite part. They have a wide selection of chips, offer premade salads, and pickles or desserts to go.

I've been going to the BP for many years. Sandwiches have always been some of the best you can get around here. However, the quality of the employees has taken a hit these past months. In particular, a young fellow behind the counter. He cannot make a sandwich without coming back two, even three! times to ask what I wanted on a sandwich.....and STILL can't get it right. Give him something to write an order on!! I will ask to have someone else wait on me if he is the next available employee to take my order. Hopefully not the young woman who isn't too far behind the young man. She would also benefit by having a pad to jot down orders.

The sandwich is great, love taking them to work, price is cheap only 10ish for a sandwich, the employees are pretty friendly. This places loses 2 stars for me as it lacks consistency. Sometime time I would have a perfect sandwich just the way I ordered, it would yummy and wrapped nicely. Other times not so much, today my sandwich was not wrapped properly, resulting a absolute mess in the bag, and it was not edible, this mistake could be prevented if the employee took a extra second to wrap it properly. This is not the only instance, I frequently request the employee to cut the sandwich into 1/3 portions, but the employees fail to do that multiple times, causing unnessesary problem due to lack of ability to follow instruction. Again this behavior occurs quite frequently. In all and all, the food is delicious when made properly, and I will continue to be a customer before I stop at work, but I am hoping that the business operator sees this message and implement a plan where employee are able to follow instructions, and take their time to do their job properly. Thank you!

The food was alright, and the place was clean but the workers today seemed like they didn't want to be there. Alongside the fact that I didn't know what was available to put on my sub aside from basics like lettuce and tomato, and for a second I didn't even think the place had cheese until the last minute when I asked because they started wrapping my sub up suddenly! It was really a better know what you're ordering and what goes on it experience because they weren't really going to say what was available. Overall it was just a 3 star experience, nice selection of drinks and sides but employee customer communication was really lacking. :(

Family favorite for over 35 years. My go to is always the corned beef on dark rye with Russian, lettuce, onion, Swiss. Picked up to bring home on 12/31/24; sandwich itself was great (with alterations, see below), but I hate their new Russian dressing. It’s vile, nearly white and tastes like glorified mayo. Once I scraped it all off and used proper Russian from my fridge it was much better. Also, not a fan of the lettuce shreds; miss the actual lettuce leaves. I understand you’ve expanded the franchise, but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. My advice to would-be patrons? Pass on the Russian dressing (and mushy lettuce shreds) and add your own.

This place gets an overall 3 stars as the sub was fantastic. But there are many flaws with the place. They don’t show you the toppings, and they make you guess what they have. They don’t even have a list. The employees will ask you what you want 7 times and you’ll to correct them. Despite ordering our sub 7 times, they still forgot the lettuce. 5 stars for the sub but 3 stars for the experience.

I have heard wonderful things about the Brooklyn Pickle, but after our short trip to visit to see how they are, I am pretty upset. Overall environment was great but it seems that when our party came to order the girl who was serving us was extremely rude. Making snippy comments to our requests and making our sandwiches incorrectly. We were rushed to order because she was in a horrible mood and was not willing to explain anything. The sandwiches were great but the overall customer service was poor. For the price that we paid I don’t think it was worth it.

First of all let me preface this with I like Brooklyn Pickle, it might seem like I'm a hater because I posted another review about the North store giving me the wrong salad. My girlfriend and I have enjoyed meals from the East, North and West store. I also understand that there is a staffing problem throughout food service due to the pandemic. On this particular night I ordered 3 half sandwiches for pickup, I was quoted 25 minutes on the phone which seemed a little long for cold food but I had no idea how busy they were so I was okay with it. When I arrived I grabbed some chips and some pudding then went to the pickup area there was another couple already waiting there and nobody from the store to help us. There were four young women in the main sandwich stations waiting on walk in customers. Finally after a few minutes a young lady came over and waited on the couple there before me turns out their order was never put in so she wrote down what they ordered and went over to make sure that got made, I was never acknowledged even though I was also standing there. There was a bag sitting in front of me so I figured it must be mine . I looked at the ticket and it was actually a delivery. I then walked over to the main area to check on the status of my order and found out that it was not made yet either. The couple that was waiting had to have their sandwiches opened up and Russian dressing put on them because the ticket had Russ on it and the girl thought it was for a person named Russ. Once my food was done the girl did give me a significant discount a bit over $10 for 3 half sandwiches 2 puddings and 2 chips so I'm not looking for anything , but the thing that always impressed me about Brooklyn Pickle is how uber organized they always were counter person shouting items to cashier payment method etc. I saw nobody delegating the employees that night I was very surprised about that. Once again I'm not a hater I've had plenty of five star experiences there and this is more because I do like them if I was the owner I'd rather know.

Online ordered food 45 minutes ahead of time everytime we order but it’s never actually made until we go to pick it up. And they continuously forget the drinks 🤦‍♀️

I ordered two half sandwiches one of which was corned beef. I'm not sure why people are raving about the size of the sandwiches. If you order a whole sandwich admittedly the bread is large. But when you order a half sandwich The Corned Beef portion I received was about three bites. In my opinion this was a snack not an overly big sandwich. I asked for sauerkraut and received about a tablespoon and a half of sauerkraut for which there was an upcharge. The service was prompt and professional. I saw one of the staff behind the counter making a whole sandwich for someone else with what looked like chicken salad or tuna salad and that looked generous. I am wondering with beef prices in the stores being as high as they are if the beef choices for your sandwich are intentionally small for the store to save money.Are sandwiches only big if you order certain items off the menu? Is that the way this place works? Then the customer should be made aware. If anything made with beef is very expensive for this restaurant they should let you know.

Ordered sandwiches on our way home ,was very disappointed in this particular place!They were out of tomatoes,every one there was very miserable looking no smiles etc ,no pickles offered ,sandwiches were so much smaller ...will not return

I usually go to the Brooklyn pickle west, but I was over in that direction so I stopped at the one on Burnet Avenue. Super disappointed at the quality of food I received after paying almost $30 for two sandwiches. The one worker making the sandwiches failed to put the correct type of tomato, wrong bread, and the wrong meat that I asked for. One of the sandwiches was wrapped OK, but the other as you can see in the picture, looks absolutely terrible. The bag was in a horizontal position with the sandwich exposed and now there are pieces of the sandwich on the floor of my car. The other workers were just standing around and watching, not helping. Not happy at all, I usually brush off bad experiences but this has got to be better. PERIOD. Not to mention the guy sneezed twice and was wearing his mask below his nose.

We did not have a great experience. They seemed to be out of everything I asked for. (Wheat bread, fresh squeezed lemonade). I asked for pepperoni and was given salami? The employee looked down at the ground when she spoke to us. I asked for a receipt and was given the credit card receipt so I have no idea who took our order or what the cost of everything was other than my total. It’s too bad we made the 30 minute drive, when we could’ve had a better experience at Jersey Mike’s.

The worst service I ever had I stood there for 8 minutes after the older lady finish with the customer. I had to walk out. Never had a problem in the past I guess she was having a bad day.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE - They have messed up our online orders for a while now. We gave them another shot, hoping they'd improved since then, but nope. They got 2 out of 3 items I ordered completely wrong. The only thing they got right was the bag of chips. One sub had no meat and a sandwich had the completely wrong meat. Unless you're going to order in person and watch them make it to double check it' correct, don't bother.

I haven't been in more than 10 yrs and I must admit, not as good as it used to be. The counter person was not very enthusiastic about helping us, when asked about menu, he would mumble unintelligently and we would have to ask him to repeat himself several times. The egg and olive had ZERO flavor, I had a hard time finding any olives. My son said the ham salad had no flavor either. The mac and cheese tasted a bit like sharp cheese but was mushy and unappetizing. The potatoe knish was over microwaved, chewy and greasy. Unfortunately the pickles are no longer part of the sandwich deal, you have to buy a pickle separately, which seems odd to me, pickles are cheap. I will not go back, too bad the prices go up. The flavor goes down.

So disappointed. I use to love the food here but after the lunch we ate yesterday I am sorry to say the food quality has deteriorated substantially. The Neptune Stew use to have real seafood in it. Now shrip the size of a baby seahorse. Tomato sauce loaded with sugar, no chunks of vegetables like it use to have. The chicken salad sandwich use to have chucks of cooked chicken and vegetables, now it was just chicken paste with way too much mayonnaise. The pastrami sandwich use to taste like an authentic New York Deli, now reduced to sliced low-end product. It also did not leave a good feeling in our stomachs after we ate it. I don't like to be negative but this use to be a favorite stop and I am truly disappointed.

The food was relatively good. Unfortunately, my sandwich was made wrong. The server asked for my order and I ordered a half Italian hot without lettuce. She repeated back my order and “no lettuce” but she made the sandwich cold (not toasted) and with lettuce. The 2nd sandwich was a half Reuben (supposed to be hot). It was hot and she asked if I wanted lettuce on my Reuben and I answered NO. My sandwich was made with lettuce. My daughter ordered a whole Reuben and the server asked if she wanted if she wanted lettuce, tomato, and onion? She ordered it hot without the lettuce, tomato, onion, basically like a normal Reuben should be. It came out cold, not grilled or toasted and piled high with lettuce. Our entire order was completely wrong. We found the restaurant online and thought it would be a great stop as we were passing through the city. We went 15 miles out of our way to try it. Huge disappointment. We would have even been okay with the modified sandwiches we were given since they were very different than what we ordered the service (the server that took our order at the counter and made our food) was so bad, it made the entire experience bad.

Average sandwiches, nothing different from the ones you’d make at home. I tried the Chef Salad, but unfortunately, it wasn’t a chef salad. It was a mass of ice burg lettuce with one bell pepper strip, 3 slices of cucumber, and a scoop of chicken salad. The ranch dressing had all the flavor of good ole’ KRAFT. The “chicken salad” was drained canned chicken mixed with mayo.

I just went in and had Sandwiches for the last time. I try to be considerate of new people but this time was absolutely ridiculous. The young man though polite proceeded to make all of our sandwiches with wrong ingredients. That and the fact that the sandwiches wich used to have a decent amount of meat. Barely had any. I ordered my wife a whole cheese sandwich with provalone and Swiss . He proceeded to put one piece of Swiss on one side and one piece of provolone on the other. I don’t mind paying for good ingredients but this has gotten out of hand. We recently had door dashed and got skimpy sandwiches. I thought if we went in they would make the sandwiches the old way.
