Avis sur Dee's Diner Syracuse
What a nice, busy diner on a Sunday morning. We were seated right away and the wait staff was very efficient and friendly. Our food was great and we all had a great experience.
The entire staff was absolutely amazing and very friendly. The food was just what I expected, perfect comfort food. I'm so glad I stumbled on this hidden gem. Highly recommend to anyone in the Syracuse area or on they way to the airport.
Perfect little diner experience with excellent coffee and food options. Highly recommend the cinnamon raisin French toast.
I've been going to Dee's for years. I drive from Cazenovia every weekend because the food and service is so good.
Just a nice diner experience... Walked up to the door, the windows were nicely painted with winter pines. We were seated right away, and when we picked a corner booth in the back, a waitress mentioned that it was chilly back there, and helped us move. A very nice waitress helped us pick out our food, in particular, recommending the chunky monkey waffle, my wife LOVED it! I had the turkey club... The toast was pleasantly crispy, the bacon crunchy, the tomato cold, just like a turkey club should be 👍. Also the coffee was quite good, not bitter at all! I'm picky with coffee, so high praise, I had 2 cups🙂. The whole experience was very pleasant, DEFINITELY recommend!
They were busy but still found us a seat to sit. Everyone checked in on us multiple times. Food was delicious
Great food, amazing customer service, and has that diner feel which alot of places do not anymore.
Great food, polite and attentive employees that greet you immediately upon arrival, amazing atmosphere (feels welcoming and very clean), and did i mention to food was amazing!
Traditional diner with coffee breakfast lunch and pies for dessert. Wonderful atmosphere, food is great and the waitresses are very friendly.
Definitely a Brunch kinda place, eggs and typical stuff for breakfast, and Sammie's for lunch. They have a few lunch specials during the week, I recommend going on Thursdays for the Goulash.
Stopped in for lunch on a Friday with mom and Jake. Was not crowded at 1 pm, but they chose at 2, so I think they do a more robust business in the morning. Jake and I had the fish, which comes with fries, and oh happy day - these are diner fries the way diner fries were intended. Delicious. The fish was crispy outside and flaky inside - also delicious. Mom got the goulash, which was on the special board. She said it was ok but wondered if they forgot to put tomato paste in there. Goulash needs tomato paste to give it that earthy taste. Pricing was reasonable, what you would expect at a diner. This was my first visit, but I will be back.
We love the food here but it frustrates us when we get the waitress who isn’t very nice. Overhearing all the other waitresses say enjoy, check on their tables, etc. when ours sets our food down and then just doesn’t check on us ever again. Other waitresses filled our coffees and cleared our plates. We sat there for 15 minutes done eating and had to ask another waitress for the bill.
Food lacked seasoning. Could taste baking soda or powder in my pancakes. Service made it good enough to give them a 2nd chance. 2nd chance update-7/01/2023 No better than before! It’s a diner, I get it but the choices of gravy and biscuits, meatlovers fretta were underwhelming to say the least and the eggs on my to-go order were burnt! Had it not been 1000 degrees outside and 15min away I would’ve returned my $40 order.
Ordered take out for four people. Food was okay at best. Made all of our stomachs off for the day. Syrup for the waffles tasted very odd. A lot of the food tasted off. Two orders were the same and looked and tasted very different from one to the other. I don't think we would try it again. I'd rather pick a different place next time.
Waited and still waiting for coffee left after 15 minutes the only person in contact food runner and she couldn't bring us coffee..... I wasn't that busy, tables waiting for checks..
Not worth going to, acknowledging, or funding. Short version - NO. It is NOT worth your time or visit. Everything is from the 10 pound cans. Gravy is Libbys and not served warm four people were served cold plates. Gravy is cold, biscuits ... needed a minute to be identified maybe frozen biscuits that were put under the Gravy then everything got 'heated' at once and left to get cold. Sausages are basic links and also served cold on four out of four plates. If you are blind or intellectually disabled both of you will be ignored COMPLETELY. You can order a coffee like three of your table and be the only one left out. You can order a box half way through your nasty cold canned potato meal and have the 'maybe drunk' waitress walk past your table qith a box to another table and ask them if they want they want a box. Your spoons are liable atleast 2 out of a four person party, to have crusty stuff on them as they are handed to you 'new/clean'. When (not the oldest waitress and not the drunk waitress) comes to finally give your entire table boxes at the end, they will hand the box (that the blind customer asked for 30 minutes ago and is seating on the outside section of a both) to a sighted party member on the inside of the booth and say "for her". I'm not sure what to even say about that each time the nonintoxicated non elderlest waitress interacts with neuro divergent party members in a table of three or a blind patreon of a party of four...she refuses to acknowledge what they say, refuses to follow through with any 'additional requests' from those individuals.
I got the breakfast wrap. It was absolutely horrible. It wasn't even edible. They ought to close this place down. Also the waitresses don't get paid if you send their food back. The waitresses go broke working here.
I used to order the Cinnamon Raisin French Toast all the time and it was the most delicious thing ever. The last time it was hard as a rock. I decided to try again today and nope, even worse than last time! Almost broke my teeth trying to eat it. I even made my bf try a piece to make sure it wasn't just me. His Breakfast Wrap was dry and the home fries had no flavor whatsoever. We should have stayed away after the last time. Learned my lesson and def won’t be coming back again
