We dropped by for a quick lunch with family, and it was a truly uplifting experience. This place offers a delicious fusion of flavorful, spiced meat like lamb or beef, formed into patties, served on a sturdy bun with fresh toppings that lift your spirits. Generously seasoned potato wedges with za'atar, perfectly cooked and not greasy, a true delight. Everyone finished their meal. Prices were fair and quality was satisfying.
So damn good! The flavors in these burgers are so wonderful. When I’m missing the LES this is my home away from home. Got the toasty tahini and it was served with perfectly seasoned potato wedges and the lamb pita nachos truly delicious.
Do yourself a favor. If you live or work downtown, try a burger or wrap at Kofta. Absolutely one of the best burgers in Syracuse! The flavors are unique and delicious & the burgers are cooked perfectly. The chicken tenders are mildly spiced and whole chicken breast, not the cheap rubbery stuff found elsewhere. The wedge fries are gigantic and fresh!
I've had the Za'atar wedges numerous times before, but this evening was my first time visiting this establishment. Very nice, spacious dining area amd the staff are extremely courteous and friendly. The quality of the food is exceptional, and this is a great location to dine during lunch in the downtown area or an early dinner before an event at the Landmark. I would highly recommend that anyone visiting the downtown area should skip the tourist traps and try this restaurant.
Loved this place! It’s a unique burger joint! Burgers meet middle Eastern. My kafa burger was excellent! Juicy and lots of taste. My son’s falafel burger was big and delicious. My wife loved her veggie wrap. The potato wedges were huge and done perfectly with some seasoning on them. My strawberry salad was very tasty. The service was friendly and every thing was made fresh. I’m definitely going back!!!!
From start to finish, everything was excellent. Placed a to go order. Upon pick up, I was greeted with a smile. Food was hot and ready to go. I could see into the kitchen how clean it was also the seating area was pristine. Next time I will dine in for sure! Food was excellent, even after the long ride home! Can’t wait to try something different on the menu next time!
Kofta Burger is an absolutely incredible establishment in Syracuse. I have been wanting to try them since they opened up on James Street and was disappointed when I saw that they had closed. To my surprise, they were planning the move to their current location downtown! Their smash burgers are divinely out of this world. The charred beef patty is juicy and delicious while the toppings of garlic sauce, tomato, parsley, sumac onion, and white cheddar compliment each other perfectly with the tangy smoky sour crunch of freshness that is packed with Middle Eastern flavor. Their chicken burger has got to be one of the best pieces of fried chicken I have ever had. The outside is extremely crispy with the inside being tender and moist with no dryness. The sauce and the crisp crunch of the vegetable toppings pair nicely with the chicken. I am extremely impressed with Kofta Burger. I will be back again and again. Thank you for making a pleasurable dining experience! EDIT: I wanted to add some more photos of the other things I have tried as well as the menu in the window. I highly recommend the Cheeseburger Shawarma too.
Let's just sum this up, simply the best! Bar None this is the best burger I have ever had the pleasure of consuming! I ordered the Avocado Lover Burger which was smeared in plethora of avocado slices cheese, and a pomegranate sauce I believe, and the burger itself is mouth watering! I didn't modify my burger in anyway other than removing the tomatoes, my initial thought that it was going to be too much avocado for my liking but biting into as I chewed every delicious morsel it just seemed to melt altogether. Cooked to perfection medium rare that I requested. I ordered the USA burger for my significant other which is two patties smeared in some type of cheese heaven, also cooked to a medium rare. Each burger was served with four potato wedges seasoned to perfection! The owner was friendly and welcoming, and is such a cute little spot he has. The kitchen is viewable and kept well. I would definitely recommend stopping in ASAP to get yourself one of these burgers! Non meat option available as well and more healthy options.
The best burger in Cuse! The Greek Smashburger is seasoned and cooked to perfection. I got the lamb pita pocket this time and it too is delicious. If you need a new place to add to your regular rotation, Kofta Burger is it!
Lamb nachos were delicious. The pomegranate seeds on the top were something I didn't know I needed on my nachos but I'm glad I know now. The potatoe wedges were hot, fresh and crispy. Burgers were smashed fresh and came out hot and delicious. We tried the Mac and cheese which was spiced nicely but not spicy at all.
We were greeted and our order was promptly taken. We had our food within 10 minutes. I highly recommend! The All American Burger was amazing!
I really like Kofta and their idea of providing an amazing American/Mediterranean fusion. Even though, I haven’t gotten the chance to try all of their options, I am sure everything is great. My only minor comment is that they should put a bit more of their sauces in the burgers or provide a little bit on the side. Overall, it’s still amazing and the pictures are for the Fried Chicken Burger and Greek SmashBurger.

Amazing!!! I can’t wait to try the rest of their menu. The quality of the ingredients is far superior than your average small biz burger joint. Everything was super fresh and the portions are huge! Service was kind, when asked for recommendations they gave a breakdown of what is most popular. Can’t express more how much I recommend this place. We got the kofta burger and harissa burger. Both perfect and cooked medium. Comes with these giant potato wedges that are fried and seasoned to perfection. The store was super clean and the layout is very aesthetic. You can tell the owner really cares about the business.
Found this place strictly from the google reviews. Everything on the menu looked good. The place has a counter to place your order then they will walk it out to your table after it is made fresh. I asked the person taking the order what was most popular and without hesitation, he said the Kofta Burger. Enough said. I ordered it with the seasoned potatoes. The burger was extremely tasty and not like your traditional USA burger. It had a nice Mediterranean touch with just the right amount to flavor to fully enhance the burger. The seasoned potatoes were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I will be back.
Can’t recommend this place enough. Great service, the team is always eager to make sure you’re taken care of. The food is delicious and priced well. I have eaten here for lunch most often and dinner a couple of times. Well worth it. Locally owned as well, which is even better.
I'm in town for work and decided to give these guys a shot. Glad I did. Laid back atmosphere, great service, and burger/fries were hot and ready in record time! I was very hungry after working on the job site all day in the freezing cold and ordered their garlic Caesar salad, and 2 burger meals for dine in. I got the Greek smash and the gochujang smash. All of it was phenomenal. It was easy to tell all of the ingredients were fresh and they take pride in what they do. I felt excellent afterwards too. 5*
If you are ever in the downtown Syracuse area, Kofta Burger is a must! Their food is always flavorful and fresh and the customer service makes it that much better. This is one of my favorite places to eat in the Syracuse area.

Got a Kofta burger today. Absolutely unbelievable! If I could eat only one thing forever it would be this! Toppings were all diced up so they didn’t squish out on end. Garlic sauce and spices were unique and very tasty! Can’t wait to go back!!
We’ve been dying to try Kofta Burger since it moved downtown from Eastwood. It was mostly delicious and the service was great. We had a burger that was perfectly cooked as ordered)not always easy to get in Syracuse) that was juicy, flavorful and came on the perfect bun. The potato wedges are a signature dish there and for good reason. They are perfect. The chicken nachos had so much promise but they were covered in too much red onion. The chicken and pita “chips” were delicious and the touch of pomegranate was good too but wayyyy too much onion. We reminded ourselves that if a restaurant name has the word burger in it…get a burger! We’ll be back for burgers for sure!
Savoring the American burger, accompanied by crisp potato wedges, was an exquisite experience. With mouthwatering flavors and ample portions, my satisfaction was undeniable. Notably, the halal options ensure inclusivity for all diners. The menu's diversity caters to various tastes, underlined by its reasonable prices. This fusion of choice and affordability makes it a go-to spot for food enthusiasts. The restaurant's commitment to both taste and value is truly commendable, delivering a memorable dining venture.

I tried this place 3 times before forming this review, so here it is. When kofta burger opened, i was so excited because of the potential and concept. The first time, I tried a kofta burger, which was bland (underseasoned) but I figured they were trying to target customers who don’t like a lot of seasoning, and the dish itself was edible. This was when the restaurant was pretty new, and the owner reached out on doordash and asked I give them another try. So a few months later, I tried their greek burger, which was honestly pretty good (as compared to the kofta burger), so I just chalked up my first experience to chance and figured I misjudged this place. A couple months go by and I decide to try the chicken pita. The seasoning was okay, on the lighter side (as per usual), but the pita was very burnt. I could not eat it, because it was bitter and ruined the whole experience for me. The burnt side had been strategically placed facing down in the takeout container. Serving customers burnt food is a pretty serious sign that the establishment doesn’t care about their image. There’s just no excuse to let that leave the kitchen, no matter how busy they are. I understand that accidents happen, but burnt food needs to be discarded and recooked, thats it. I gave this place multiple chances because it is a local business, and I wanted to support them. However, burnt food is just not acceptable. There are tons of local businesses in syracuse that still care about what they’re serving their customers. I personally will choose to support them instead. No idea how this place got a 4.7 review. Just baffles me. Nothing about this place is a 4.7. Even the greek burger was good, but only relative to their other food. I’ve attached a picture of the less burnt pita. The other one was also bad, but I was able to eat around it.
Terrible experience here. They got my order wrong, then didn’t even offer to fix it after I told them it was wrong. I even tipped 15%. There are better burger places in this city to spend your dollars with. **Please follow me on Instagram & TikTok @NickEatzWorld and check out all my reviews and travel recommendations**

The service was very good; however, the cooking quality left something to be desired. My burger was overcooked, and in the garlic chicken dish, the meat itself was burnt to the point of losing its color. We raised the issue, and the chicken was replaced, which we appreciated. I also want to point out that consuming burnt or overly charred meat poses certain health risks.
