We came here for the dessert so we didn't get to try any of the food, maybe next trip. We really liked the rustic decor & the plants hanging all over the place. I fell in love with the café de olla & I'm now inspired to learn to make it cuz it was that good! Our dessert was the canasta de manzana, which is akin to an apple a la mode. When we visit our family again, I'd love to come back & try the food.

Third or fourth time here and their dishes are excellent. We had a tampiqueña which is meat and veggies. And, the pulpo was sooo good. They have open patio section, semi-open section and a closed section. The main chef was constantly check the areas. The only thing that didn’t have a good flavor was the horchata. The men’s restrooms are funny.

I don't know who the hell would vote this a one-star or a two-star or even a three-star. This is by far the best restaurant I've been to, all of the food that I tasted today was immeasurable. The taste quality as well as the presentation was amazing. The prices for what you're getting and every dish that I had was definitely priced down compared to any Michelin star restaurant down the street. This is definitely the spot to have an anniversary, dinner date, graduation or celebration to share with a special somebody. "Best restaurant in Tecate"

Excellent restaurant, you can go anytime and for any occasion, the food service and atmosphere is almost perfect, a place to meet up with friends and or go on a romantic date with your spouse, this is my wife's favorite place and I enjoy it also!!!!

When you come here remember to save room for the cast iron skillet apple pie with ice cream...it's large enough to share with 3 people...the clam chowder in a bread bowl was a disappointment but the bread was good just didn't taste like clams ...service was excellent...make a reservation on weekends as it's busy.

Agreed, El Lugar De Nos is pretty special. The design and decor, the layout, the whole eclectic vibe is just so comfortable and fun. There’s always something to look at. The service from our waiter Eduardo was wonderful. His wine recommendations were smart, and he even double-checked with his manager to make sure he’d given good advice - yes he did!! We tried 3 different local red blends and they were all good. But it’s the food that makes the place worth a trip from anywhere. The tacos 84 are four flour tortillas generously filled with the most mouth-watering shredded beef, served with seasoned lettuces and some delicious sauces. Impressive. The Jamaica Sarteneada Pizzeta was a delicious flatbread with amazing flavor combos - I swear it had roasted beets along with the roasted onions. The Volcan de Chocolate is a very nice lava cake. It came with a vanilla ice cream. My only wish was to have had more of the whisky sauce and caramelized walnuts the menu mentioned. Next time I want to try whatever dessert Eduardo recommends!

We had to come back Second time was an even better experience. We walked in around 9:30PM and we were quickly seated. We were lucky and had Victor as our server once more. His suggestions were delicious. His attention to detail was outstanding. I tried the Ensalada de Nos and added shrimp. The salad was fresh. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and they tasted SO GOOD. Victor suggested we try the Tuna Tostadas...and ohhh man. Definitely coming back for that alone. The tostadas were so flavorful. My drink for the night was Aperol bubble. A mix of Jamaica and piña. Sweet and delicious. Love this restaurant
