There are few pleasant places around Tepic's main square, which is a shame. It still has colonial-style buildings surrounding it that, with a little effort, could make for a very beautiful square. Among these pleasant places is this café. I had been there years ago and didn't like it much, especially a cheesecake they offered that tasted of pure, raw egg. But this time, their pastries have improved considerably, though not their service. The service is cold and unfriendly; I don't think they even smile. They serve because they have to, but not in the best way. It's quiet, and you can really enjoy the coffee despite everything. The views, with the beautiful cathedral in the background, are highly recommended. Yes, I highly recommend it, despite everything.
