Avis sur Cajun Crab Shack Thousand Oaks
I went for the first time. LOVED IT. I'm a foodie and I hadn't even thought about writing a review when I took photos of some of the food we got.The Crab Shack House Mix Sauce is DELICIOUS. EXCELLENT service. Our server's name is Jonathan. He and his assistant (I never got his name) was very nice. I came with a big group. Jonathan double- checked with us to make sure he split our check correctly before running it. Everyone LOVED their food, even the kids. I'm glad I found a little seafood gem. I'm saving up to go again.
One of the best Cajun crab restaurant this side of Louisiana! Close to home and not as far as the Cajun Crab restaurant in Ventura, which I frequent also with my bestie buddy. We're both "regulars" and the waitresses don't have to ask us what we're having.
At first I was unsure about a "Cajun Crab Shack" , southern style crab with a bit of a Mexican twist . My daughter had the crab legs, I had the carne asada street tacos and my wife the fajitas . We were all happily surprised . The food was spicy when we wanted it spicy and traditional when we asked for it . I would recommend giving this place a try . The service was very good .
Met with a friend for lunch today, and we tried Cajun Crab Shack in Thousand Oaks off of E Avenida De Los Arboles. I have a fondness for Cajun food, particularly for the style I call "Cajun boil" where all of your food is cooked at the same time so everything takes on a really rich depth of flavor. The best part, is it's generally eaten by hand, without utensils. Cajun Crab Shack delivered with delicious, flavorful seafood that was well cooked, seasoned, and reasonably priced. It's location in Thousand Oaks makes it an ideal spot for families looking for a new kind of place for a dinner out, and business types looking for a lunch spot that's a bit of a break from the local sandwich, burger, or salad spot. Though I do recommend you avoid it if you've got important face-to-face meetings immediately after ;). It gets messy, but that's part of the fun. In the end it is tasty, well prepared seafood, at a good price, with friendly service. I highly recommend trying it, and if you like it, recommend it to your friends.
Delicious! Service was great even though the food took a little longer to come out than o expected. The garlic butter on the clams, crab, and shrimp were out of this world!
This place was incredible the service was above & beyond. The waiter went & washed his hands so he could show me how to shell a crawfish correctly!!! The food was delicious & just beautiful. We got the combo, ceviche mixed tostada & mimosas!! The mimosas were off the chain High Recommend
Despite the name, there are many menu options beyond crab and Cajun food. They have Mexican food options. There is indoor and outdoor dining.
To crab or not to crab. Such a great place. Great food, great beer, and I was able to catch the Game on the big screens. Come hungry.
The "lunchbox" special is a great deal--$14.99 --for a huge pan of seafood, sausage, corn cob and potato. The House Blend spices at medium spicy was relatively mild and delicious. Fabio, the proprietor, is super friendly and attentive. Plenty of tables, never a wait to get seated. Great place.

The food was delicious. It was my first time I ordered the Cajun shrimp Louisiana style, and it hit the spot definitely coming back
Hidden little gem in Thousand oaks, food is excellent and the service is great. This place is underrated and because of that you do not have to wait very long to be seated
While looking for a sea food boil place, we came across this place in TO. The inside was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Sea food boil, chicken nachos and fries were delicious. The waiter was nice and attentive. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
I love this place! The food is delicious and the staff are always so kind and attentive. I’m so happy we have a local Cajun place because the wait times in other towns are so long!

Nice place. Food was good. Sat us at a table as soon as we walked in on a Saturday night....6 in our party. Was not busy at all. Friendly staff but a little slow on checking on us during the meal. No real complaints. Will come back...definitely.

The food was great and plentiful and large portions. Pricing was good overall. The staff that waited on us was what has me rating this less than wonderful. Not very friendly and hardly smiled. Wet naps would have been great to have being as you will be getting your fingers dirty while eating.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! There was a wait, but it wasn’t too long. The food, however, was such a disappointment. They gave me cold corn. Like ice cold. It was not edible. Their service wasn’t great and they took forever to bring out the food, or come check up on us.

Visited this place yesterday and the waiter was extremely rude. He made a couple rude comments toward us and had attitude the whole time. This waiter has been there for years and he has always been this way but this time he took it to another level. Will never be going back because of him. We like the food but he makes the experience not worth it.
Wow I just can’t believe how bad this place is. The waiter ignored us the whole time and the food was terrible. I don’t mind paying high prices for quality but all the seafood tasted like one year frozen food. They also had no gloves.
TERRIBLE, food was cold, service was bad, they charge $30 JUST for a ”party” over 4, they did not care for quality, very bad attitude, 18% tip is MANDATORY!! Very bad over all, i will say I still ate, because it was expensive, and did not want to waste money, would not recommend.
This was my first time dining at Cajun Crab, 09/06/25 and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I had asked our server to walk me through how to order since it was my first time, but instead of being helpful, he seemed frustrated with us. His attitude made both me and my family feel uncomfortable throughout the meal. He wasn’t paying attention to how we wanted to place our order and appeared irritated when we tried to clarify. I had ordered white rice, which was never brought to the table, yet it was still added to the bill. When I politely brought it up, he became irritated again and gave me more attitude. I found his behavior very unprofessional. At one point, I wanted to stop my order altogether and leave, but I decided to stay only because my family really wanted to try the food. If I had been alone, I would have walked out. Overall, the poor service overshadowed the meal, and I left very dissatisfied with the experience
Food was terrible. Service was horrible. Pricing was awful. It was my families and I first time here and we only came because Boiling Crab had a long wait. Party over 4+ get charged $30 tip. Food comes barely warm. They seem rushed when you ask for something missing and careless. I recommend you don’t come here.

The host was insulting when I said I didn't want tacos and later changed my mind he made a comment that he should have kept to himself. There was a TV directly in front of me that I was watching but when 3 Hispanic customers came in he changed to a Hispanic station without any regards to me. So I turned around to see what was happening and he no regards for me. Last time I will ever visit this restaurant and if you are Black and want to be treated like your are human..---..Stay away from this restaurant.

We ordered food for delivery- specially the drunken soldier package, which is advertised with corn, potatoes and sausage. When it came, no corn potatoes and sausage. I called and the person I dealt with said too bad, it doesn't come with that even though I paid 80 dollars. Awful.
