Simply BEST hot dog! I’ve been coming here for many years. I move to Santa Clarita but whenever I come near Thousand Oaks it is always a mandatory stop to eat their delicious hot dogs !!!

This is an amazing burger spot that never disappoints! The burgers here honestly took me back to some of my best childhood memories—they’re just that good. Every time I’ve visited, it’s been the same friendly staff, always greeting customers with a smile and great service. Their burgers are packed with flavor, the onion rings are crispy perfection, and if you’ve got room, don’t skip the shake—it ties the whole meal together. I always try to stop by around dinner time, and it’s become one of my favorite go-to places. Everyone needs to try this place at least once!

I've been coming to lucky dog since I was a kid. The food is always good with the freshest ingredients. The owners are always so kind and know what they're doing when it comes to making a good burger! David deserves a special shout out, this young gentleman is the definition of 'customer service with a smile' he's always happy to help!!! You won't regret stopping in whether you get a hot dog, burger or sandwich - there's a reason Lucky's dog has been around my entire life. *Pro tip Lucky's dog has the best double avocado bacon cheese burger around it's a must have!!!

This place was perfect to grab some food with mimy toddler after playing. We got a cheeseburger and it was very affordable and delicious! 😊 The staff were very friendly and helpful. Its decorated with a bunch of cute wiener dogs (daschunds) that my son liked lookking at. They also seemed to be very supportive of the community. We will definitely be back!

Prices here are pretty good. I would definitely recommend the hotdog. Can’t beat it. They move pretty fast in there too so you won’t be waiting too long. I’m glad they opened one up in this area. Not sure how much longer they’ll last though because this mall is kinda run down. Oh well.

So sweet and such bomb food my bf introduced me to this place since they used to be in moorpark along time ago and when we go to the janss mall once in a while well stop here and the food is so good and they even made my fries a special request. The fries were cooked well, nice and crispy but they were so bland, wish they'd cooked with more salt. The place is really small with one table inside and seating outside. Staff was friendly, and prices are ok.

Community staple at the janss marketplace. Large variety menu of hamburgers, hotdogs with quality meat Choices of Vienna or Hebrew national. Many options to enjoy such food with great/ affordable prices. They also have an extensive sandwich, substitution of different types of fries ( regular, sweet potato and chili fries), onion rings,salad, and milk shakes. Had the grilled chicken salad, tuna sandwich, and steak sandwich in the past. I need to try the hot dogs, they look large and in charge. Friendly employees, clean facility with options to enjoy your food inside or the plentiful seating arrangements outside. Parking is plentiful. Takes time to cook the food, so you know it will be fresh.

I feel that way often when searching for Chicagoan food in the Conejo Valley. This is perplexing because many of my friends are Chi-Town ex-pats. I would have hoped by now that at least one of them would have founded a hot dog or Italian beef stand. There has been a noticeable vacuum in CV since Dayne's Chicago Beef in Thousand Oaks closed in 2016. Luckily, a Chicago style hot dog can be found at Lucky's Dog House in the Janss Marketplace. Their Chicago dog has a Vienna beef hot dog (other dog options are available), chopped onion, tomato slices, dill pickle spear, sport pepper, relish and celery salt. It only lacks a poppy seed bun (although their bun was fresh and puffy) and the signature neon green relish. Overall the hot dog was very good but I have to admit I was disappointed that it didn't have that "pop" you get with natural-casing hot dogs. The restaurant is small with counter service and reminiscent of the mom-n-pop fast food stands found in the San Fernando Valley and elsewhere in the 1970s and 1980s. I ordered the meal which included a soda and crinkle cut fries which were hot, fresh and crunchy. Total bill was $9.27, which is a bit on the pricey side for a hot dog meal.

I ordered a Hebrew dog then told him to change it to a turkey dog because the Hebrew tend to be tough. He didn’t change it and it’s also $2 more for the Hebrew. I ate half the hot dog thinking their turkey dogs are tough and then I found the ticket that he had charged for the Hebrew. I told him and he said sorry so I guess that solves everything. This is why I don’t like to give tips before service. I gave him $3 to over charge me $2. Won’t go back or recommend either.
