This place has a very high value proposition. The food was very high quality. The chocolate in the Chocolate Croissant was one of the best tasting that I have had. The quiche was large and good. The special toast with apples, pear, and walnuts was fantastic. I had a very tasty cappuccino.
Quaint little cafe in the old village. Not ideal if you have a big group. The tables and seating are quite limited but adds to the charm of the place. Food here is good and fresh. Easy free parking lot.
It would be amazing if they could serve their food and drinks in reusables so we could make it easier for the Topanga community to reduce their waste and keep our air, our blood and our planet healthy and clean. LA County has a policy that requires all dine in restaurants to have dine-in ware.

You have my earnest and unequivocal support! I'm a client of yours, and I am extremely satisfied with the administrations you have. Your partners were quite obliging. They were both fit for satisfying their clients' assumptions on schedule. It's a quieting and fulfilling feeling. This coffeehouse is great for the individuals who need to invest energy alone.
Correction: My original review of Waterlily Cafe was definitely meant for another competitor in Topanga about 1 mile away. Thank you for pointing that out... Waterlily Cafe was a nice breath of fresh air after multiple weak experiences at other places during a weeklong stay in Topanga. It was a nice environment to walk into with a bunch of kind customers as well. I chose to order a sandwich loaded with fresh vegetables, and the sandwich met exactly what I was looking for. This was my favorite place to go to, and I'm not sure at all how I confused this place with one of the much lower quality competitors.
The food is always fresh and delicious and the staff are very friendly. The quintessential Topanga vibe. Highly recommend the mozzarella sandwich (add some avocado) and the fresh soups are wicked good. Phillip is a gem and a fine gentleman to boot!
My favorite food place in Topanga canyon and it’s been open for over 25 years. The egg salad sandwich is amazing. The soup. The quiche are also amazing. The location is in the mountains and it’s truly a unique place.
The tuna panini was outstanding. Had it 2 days in a row
One thing I love about coming to a place like this is a place called the water lily café your walk in you’re instantly greeted, it’s like coming home to a family restaurant but I had to try to pastrami wrap. Now I have to try it 1 million more times what they have to serve is absolutely delicious food and comes up quickly also got great outdoor seating. but I couldn’t stop there I had to have the organic P soup now it’s totally vegan so don’t expect any ham, but that’s OK tasted just as good! Followed up by a breakfast wrap, we absolutely love this place and recommend coming here and sitting out front and meeting some of the locals!
Amazing food and coffee drinks. Definitely worth a stop.
We were visiting from out of town from Tennessee and stopped in for breakfast. We were greeted with friendly service. The employee in the store was working so hard!! The Works Bagel and Mocha Expresso were great! The food and experience were great!
It is a very small café in a very pretty quiet small town. I had my breakfast here. The atmosphere ( rustic, simple) and the people are excellent. Free parking. The prices are honest and the stuff is nice.
Simple and affordable cafe. Great service with gluten free options available. Recommend!

Great customer service and atmosphere! The breakfast wrap was delicious as well as the poppy bagel toasted with cream cheese. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quaint little cafe to relax and enjoy some good food.

One of, if not the only place you can buy some snacks and drinks/coffee in Topanga.
A place full of love - and great food. I would always come back when in the area. I am not sure I would make a 30+ min detour just to have a coffee and a snack - mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve five stars - but my wife and I genuinely enjoyed the place and everything we had - so if you are in the area: highly recommended.
Incredible lemonade and paninis. Some pastries are better than others but the pistachio is incredible.
Cool little coffee and lunch place. Not many places to sit inside, but more outside. Coffee is good and sandwiches are quite good. I had the brie and pesto panini and it was fantastic.

I waited in line for 15 minutes for them to tell me that out of the five choices of bread they have they don’t know if any of it’s vegan. Why advertise some vegan options if you don’t even know if they’re really vegan or not. Sad to see a robust menu with nothing certifiably Vegan in Topanga.I asked if they could ask the chef and they said he doesn’t know either we get it from a bakery. After so many years in business I would hope they would’ve asked the bakery by now.
Awful service. I love the vibe of Topanga so took a friend visiting from out of town to show off this cool area. Unfortunately made the mistake of taking him here for lunch. Rude male staff behind the counter… rather than being apologetic for the mistake they made, acted annoyed that we were asking about our order they had clearly forgotten. When we did finally get our food once they realized their mistake, it was obvious they didn’t use the bread that was written on their menu. The panini was burnt and the whole experience was awful. This has to be the worst establishment I’ve been to in this lovely Topanga area.
