Avis sur Hong Sheng Torino
Every time I am in Turin I stop here to get take-away. Everything is very good, different types of menu (I recommend the original Chinese menu).
Very kind and reliable staff, friendly waitress, very good food, the only small complaint being the spicy spaghetti with meat, which was a bit too spicy but still good. I recommend the sesame ball soup for dessert, which was filled with poppy seeds and was very, very good. It was a surprise! 😃 Great place if you're passing through 🍜🇨🇳🥟🥠🍜
The food was good, nothing extraordinary, but we opted for the fixed-price menu for €9.80, including three courses and coffee, excellent value. We'll be back soon to try other dishes, which look very interesting. The soy spaghetti with spicy meat was excellent.
Well... don't let the aesthetics stop you. Because the food is truly, truly good. It's for discerning palates who understand authentic Chinese cuisine... exceptional dumpling soup. Savory flavor, impeccably hand-made dumplings. Exceptional spicy bacon... Everything so fresh, crispy and crunchy. Go there... it's definitely worth it.
I've lost count of the number of times I've come here for lunch or dinner. One of the rare Chinese restaurants where you'll find Chinese people eating at the tables. It's not your typical commercial offering; you'll find exceptional, traditional dishes unlike anything you've ever seen. As always, a guarantee.
Good place to eat chinese food, four of us order all what we want, only spend 72euro very satisfied.
Solid Chinese food and cheap. I’ll return!
A good place to taste Chinese food.
I'll start by saying that I'm not an expert on Chinese restaurants or Chinese food, but many people talk about this restaurant as more authentic than others. Indeed, as other reviews have noted, there were quite a few Chinese people busy eating at other tables, and the tables were generally full, even on a weekday. The value for money is good, definitely cheaper than other restaurants. The service is a bit unremarkable, and the place feels stuck in time, and there are some things that aren't particularly beautiful to see, but my opinion is positive. I'll be back.
Four stars for the quality of the food and the affordable price, but don't dwell too much on the food or the wait times, which can sometimes be very long, especially if you order takeout. It's still a very pleasant place to enjoy traditional Chinese cuisine, and the proof is that many Chinese people go there for dinner. The place could definitely use some updating, but the posters are very nice. A good place to go, especially in large groups. A nice thing they do is offer the option of ordering wine from the restaurant next door, which has a much better selection, so you can eat their food and drink the wine from the restaurant next door at the same table, which is a rare and pleasant experience.
Excellent Chinese restaurant. The dishes I tried were all delicious, some of which are hard to find where I live, which has a large Chinese community. The service was a bit slow even though there were only a few of us, but the staff was very friendly. Parking might be a bit difficult to find, but since I'm not from the area, I probably don't know all the hidden gems! It's still a recommended restaurant, especially because the prices are reasonable and the food is plentiful.
Excellent value for money. Some of the food was excellent, though not everything was delicious, and the place isn't the best. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the menu includes some unusual dishes. The atmosphere is fairly quiet and not crowded, perhaps due to the location. Parking is difficult, at least in the evening. I'd say that for those who aren't concerned about physical fitness and who have a little practice, this could be their favorite Chinese restaurant.
It's a nice place to eat sushi
I'd heard good things about this Chinese restaurant, and the other night I decided to try it with my partner. It's a fairly basic place, very reminiscent of the old, spartan, family-style trattorias that once existed throughout Italy and are unfortunately falling into disuse. What really intrigued me was the availability of traditional, sophisticated Chinese dishes, certainly hard to find in ordinary restaurants of the same kind. Once seated at the table, we were also surprised to be able to browse a separate, special menu dedicated entirely to the many highly sought-after culinary rarities. We chose various dishes, both meat and fish: grilled spaghetti with seafood, other more traditional spaghetti, fried frogs, veal with potatoes, spring rolls with wan ton, and the legendary "hundred-year-old eggs" (which I enjoyed more than anything else). The kitchen puts a lot of effort into the food, and the presentation is impeccable. The vegetables are incredibly fresh and the portions are generous, but unfortunately, all of this wasn't enough to give each dish its own unique character: the flavors of the ingredients in each dish were excessively neutral and lacked too much "personality." The unexpected lightness, where stronger flavors would have been welcome, unfortunately dampened my initial curiosity. To be clear, the main ingredients seemed to be frozen years ago, stored with an obsolete technique that "burned" the flavors, while not compromising on freshness and consistency. It's a real shame, because it's rare to find a restaurant like this, which has all the potential to be considered a worthy custodian of such a remote culinary heritage. I therefore hope there will be improvements in the choice of suppliers.
Decent place with good decor and service.
I trusted the reviews... and I ordered takeout. The service was relatively quick, but the food was dry, lacking in seasoning, and the portions were ridiculous. If you're craving Chinese food, it's best to go to another restaurant.
Terrible place. We waited for 1 hour and the dishes I ordered and my friend did not arrive after 1 hour. The dishes of the people who arrived after us arrived but not ours. I went to let them know and the girl tells me that she doesn't know anything and that there are dishes. Before we arrived there were only 3 tables occupied of which two were already eating. Then it filled up and the dishes had arrived before those who arrived after us and waiting an hour without seeing something to eat is absurd.
