Amazing Place, still getting into the groove since it's very new so be patient. The broth and food is delicious! Recommended cooking times are online as well as in the restaurant but I'll post one here just in case. They do have gluten free options(most of the meat, fish, and of course vegetables are gluten free as is the broth itself). There are even vermicelli noodles! I myself love every type of noodle they have, but the glass noodles are my favorite.
Quality of meat is amazing for the price. Loved the spicy one. Didn't like that a party of 3 has to share one pot though.
We love this place! Food is great, we do the half and half broth which never disappoints, half with a great kick and half for our little one who doesn't do much spice. Veggies were fresh, meat was plentiful and everything came out very quick. Top notch place and very good value, can't wait for our next visit already!
The service is admittedly minimal, but the food was great! It is all-you-can-eat with 2 different broths. Their lamb and beef cuts were fantastic and the meatballs and veggies were good as well. The servers seat you, come by for your order which we filled out ourselves, and bring your food. If you are expecting conversation then you will be disappointed. Can't wait to go back!
This hot pot was so good. We got the half and half (half regular, half spicy) with beef and chicken, and an assortment of vegetables. Everything tasted great; the vegetables were crunchy and fresh (the bok choy was my favorite) and the meat cooked up nice and tender, with good flavor from the broth. Service is a bit stand-offish, with only one server, but he was polite, and brought us everything we asked for when we asked for it. A small place, but with so much food, it's a good place for groups to eat. A bit pricey (a bit over $60 for two of us) but totally worth it. We plan to go back soon.
So glad Happy Sheep is back! I've been frequenting this hot pot place for years. Soup flavor is solid, they have all the basics at the sauce bar, and the service is efficient. Meat quality is very good, asked the veggies are always fresh. All you can eat option is a great value!
Good food, the soup base was tasty and service was very attentive!! The oyster mushrooms were so good by the way. Beef is nice quality for the price. we did all you can eat and were full by the third round.
Delicious food, unbeatable prices and wonderful services! The restaurant is #1 hot pot place in LA!👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹Excellent Servers Wendy, Jojo, Lina, Charlie, Phoebe and Joyce!
I love this place so much. I’ve been coming here since 2021 and ever since then I come here to enjoy a nice meal with my family. It’s very clean and quiet. Environment very relaxing. Food is so delicious. A unique place. I really enjoy coming to this place.
You've got to order the Pot Stickers! We got 2 orders because they were so good! Loved the combination of cooking oil, the spicy one is a good option but would be too much alone. Did not care for the lamb or a lot of the tofu. Classic chicken and beef with side vegetables was the way to go for us simple folk. The peach tea was the best ever! Great date-night spot. The staff is friendly. Not a great spot for younger kiddos though. The bench seating is a little tight and we had to put our infant on the floor. Great quality food! Highly recommend!
I was here today for dinner with a friend and we both agree this hot pot restaurant is very, very good. The meats were fresh and vegetable were also fresh and clean as well. We ordered the Ying Yang soup base which was awesome good. And one more thing to point out is that they even have mouth wash. That is a very thoughtful because after all kinds of lamb, one needed it. We will. Ring more friends back here on the weekday since the weekend usually packed.
It’s all you can eat at lunch time. Love the sesame sauce. And the fried chicken wing is delicious.! The staff is attentive. But they will be pretty busy when there are more customers. However, they won’t forget your request. Just be a little more patient. The meat you want to order again will be brought to you in just several more minutes.
Perfect soup, perfect meats, perfect vegetables, perfect service! Perfect deal from Groupon! $11 for a $20 value purchased right here at google! We had the all you can eat and the quality is as good as the ala carte. The foods were so good, I could eat here everyday! Totally recommended if you're Asians or love Asian foods!
Very delicious'cook your own food' restaurant. First, it is very clean, you will not be hit by a bad smell or the smell of food being cooked. Then, the staff is very courteous and helpful, they will explain to you how the process works. Finally the food is really delicious. The lamb is extremely tasty, mushrooms, vegetables, noodles are fantastic. The original broth, the tomatoes one and the spicy one are all good (i recommend to get a combo of broth). For three persons one large plate of meat and one of vegetables, mushroom and noodles are sure to fill you.
We really enjoyed our dining experience. The service was good and fast. The food (meat, seafood, veggies) was fresh, delicious, and a LOT of options. Will be back!
What a great deal for a delicious meal! We came in on a rainy Tuesday after months of driving by, I'm thinking due to the hot summer not being too ideal for a hot pot dinner but boy were we missing out! First thing you notice is the modem updated decor with wood tones and ambient lighting. The booths are quite comfy featuring a sleek black tabletop equipped with an induction grill. Perfect for digging in to a 2 hour plus meal. My eyes then centered in on the sauce station which had fried shrimp chips, sesame balls, cilantro, scallions, chili flakes, chili oil, sesame oil and even that Chinese bbq satay sauce just to name a few. Then to my surprise they offered an all you can eat option for only $18.95!!! I mean come on people, there's no way you could do this at home at even triple that price with what all they had to offer. We ended up trying the original broth which was surprisingly milky and deap in flavor. We opted to go with mostly seafood and it just made that marrow broth all the tastier as it continued to meld and reduce, Wow! Almost too rich compared to what I'm used to doing at home myself. Taiwanese owned as of what it seemed like, overhearing the banter between regular guest and staff. Our waiter greated us with a warm smile and service was attentive for a weekday night despite all the negative reviews on Yelp. All in all a great experience. Will definitely be back again. Oh and they have shaved ice for dessert too but who has the room for that after AYCE!?

Definitely not fancy, but the food seemed fresh and the broth was tasty.
It's a fair price for all you can eat. The food is good. But I understand why some people may not enjoy the dining experience because of the service. Personally it doesn't bother me. The only weird thing is the pacing of when all the food items come out. We'll be done cooking all of our meat and still waiting for noodles and veggies..
Great variety of meats, veg, condiments to choose from. Service can be a bit slow when busy but otherwise can't be beat for the price. They introduced "Happy Hour" hours so AYCE is limited to this time (5-7pm) so be aware.
Thank you to our server "Shirley" it was our first time at a hot pot ever and she was great...chuckled when we asked for a fork. Lol 😂 it was a great experience and food kept coming to our table. We finished our food and broth, it was delicious. Took my chopsticks 🥢 home to practice for next visit. Thank you "HAPPY SHEEP" in Torrance
Good place for hot pot, vegetarians can get a good selection as well. We ordered several vegetable plates, the mushrooms, a few varieties of tofu, some noodles, and quail egg. I enjoyed my meal here.
Interesting and new experience for me. Lots of different kinds of food you can put into the hot pot. I personally like the frozen tofu which had amazing texture and funny look of the tofu. The price for the meat was kind of hight based on the amount we get for each order. I will try to visit it again.
Nice to see a hot pot place in the area. Soup base could use more flavor; it tastes like they made it with the premade powder mix. Usually for the bone broth it's more fragrant and there should be more Chinese herbal medicine in it. There were a few items we marked down they forgot to bring out. Overall the food was good and fresh. Not crowded so that was nice. All day dinner price for weekends. For the two people high chair seatings, it felt cramped. Parking was kinda tight and can be hard to find.
First time having hot pot. Smaller restaurant, with vegetarian and bone broths for hot pot, quality lamb and beef, tasty Kim chi, staff was friendly, and kept the food coming. Really loved the bone broth, egg noodles seemed to be fresh made, meats just delicious in that broth. No sauce needed but they had some for those who like to dip. Would go again for sure.
It’s the only reasonable Chinese style hot pot option in the south side of the South Bay. I didn’t give them a 5, even though they have all the basics, but nothing in particular stands out. $28.95 per person for all you can eat (9/2023 price). The meat quality is pretty good, so make sure you go when you are hungry. There are several varieties of vegetables but we usually like a few more things like chrysanthemum. There is a small area for different dipping sauces. The broth is already flavored so use only if needed. Not sure if it makes sense to get a la carte, but you got to do your own calculations. Tips: a couple of interesting items to try: 1. Fried buns, you got to try at least one, golden brown with condensed milk, pretty irresistible 2. Fish tofu, pretty interesting combination which is relatively unique Tip: The broth is on the salty side, so much so that you don’t really need the dipping sauce. I think we should’ve asked for 1/2 water and 1/2 broth when our broth was low, we got more broth instead and it was too salty to have the final soup. The service was adequate, the small place was busy and only one personal taking care of everyone. He did everything we asked for , not much spare capacity for anything extra.
The food was pretty good. But I wish there was more selection on soup and sauce ingredients. But it didn't stop me from ordering a second round.
Excellent Chinese BBQ buffet. Meat is extra fresh, tender and good tasting. The serving staff is very friendly. Everything is good. Come and try them out. lyl (20210704)
This place is great. Ive been to other hot pot places and they are so so... Everything here is fresh. Their broth is nice and savory. My favorite meat is lamb or fatty beef. Ill definitely go back!

This place is a standout but had some points where they could do a bit better. Went at 6 PM on a Saturday and went to write our name down on a waitlist. Be prepared to wait about 40 minutes to an hour. They only have room for about 30 people at a time with ten working induction plates and are short staffed. There was one person playing the role of host, waiter, and runner all at once. To get on the waitlist, you’ll have to manually go in person as they don’t have a yelp setup. As far as actual food goes, we ordered the half and half (original bone marrow broth and spicy bone marrow broth) for $29.95 a person. The broth itself is extremely rich and well made - and they definitely don’t cut corners, using fresh chilies for the spicy base. We tried their Mongolian kimchi and fried shrimp as appetizers and found the Mongolian kimchi was spicy and refreshing and the shrimp was well cooked. We went ahead and ordered all their main meats, and honestly came to understand how this place specializes in lamb. Extremely richening, especially with the add-ins. You most likely won’t be able to eat more than one round of all the main meats with two people. Sauce selection was not the best I’ve seen, with your basic Sesame, Ponzu, Shacha, Coriander, and Green Onion. Overall it was an okay experience for a hot pot place but the atmosphere was a little stark given there were many people waiting inside for a seat to open up - and given how small the space is, it feels like you’re being watched while you eat.
I came to this place on a Groupon they say 40.00 of food for 25.00 but they have unlimited for 19.95 per person so I ask if is my order was unlimited and they said no so I guess the Groupon is wrong you just get al la carte menu we will see how it is, it was great ! but I think the older lady waitress could have been nicer she was a bit rude . The other waiters were nice ! Strawberry ice was suppose to be individual but they just made one big one to share between two people ! Gave no water and kept having to ask to clear plates .

If you've got someone who can read reviews on RedNote about this place, believe them. It's pretty bad. As of April 2025 they have a B rating from the health department. A fly landed in my broth. Not sure if that's related or just unlucky. Either way, won't be back.
Came here with a group of 8 friends for dinner because of good reviews. The food was great and fast for the first rd of all you can eat but we waited nearly 20 minutes to get the second round if food. Took so long we got full waiting for our food. Very dissatisfied with slow service since we paying so much for all you can eat. This place could if been great but it mediocre at best. Feel like they held out on our food on purpose so we couldn't get more. Not coming back or even recommend to anyone coming here.
Service was good. But food was very mediocre. Having been to hot pot in Beijing, seattle and throughout socal, this is by far the worst. Broth was flavorless and not good at all. The ambiance here is also very awkward. It’s quiet and dark so it’s pretty uncomfortable and makes it so that you don’t really want to talk. It felt like eating in a prison cafeteria, tbh. Won’t be going back.
If there’s ever a place you wanna go and not feel welcome. This is the place. Super hot no ventilation and dirty.
Very limited meat selection. Food was not fresh. The server was not friendly. The only good thing was good broth. I liked the house beef bone one.

Though the arrangements were comfortable and clean, there were flaws in the wait time for the orders. The food did not come as quickly as I anticipated. I reminded them after quite some time of waiting, but the food still failed to arrive. They just simply ignored the requests. The place is nice but the service was very poor; it's not recommended.
The worst hot pot I have had in my life. There were fruit flies next to the sauce areas. The place was empty and I see why now. The broth tasted horrible and had no seasoning . It had lots of chillies and random spices . I have had way better shabu for the price . Shabuya wouldn’t do me like this . Never coming here again
It was our first time having hot pot and nobody wanted to explain how it worked. When we ordered, only the carbs came out, didn't get the proteins we asked for. The broth wasn't very good either. I feel like our experience would have been better if they were interested in explaining and suggesting how to order.
This is a FRAUD restaurant! I have already filed for fraud. When I first entered the restaurant, they told me nothing about the portion of food. Yet you can see clearly, that the first chicken breast was twice as large as the second and although I ordered more for the second time, I got less than I want. When I asked for an explanation, they told me “people are not so hungry as they eat so we reduce the portion”. This is obviously illegal. And what’s more, they are not paying any attention to customers. The environment very bad as well.

Bad experience. Small restaurant and unorganized. Rude employee had tables available to sit my party. Got there at 5:45pm and wanted to sit us down around 8pm. Employee didnt offer to separate my party in two tables and just turned his back and walked away.
This was by far the worst hot pot experience of my life. The place was absolutely disgusting — the tables and floors were covered in grease and felt filthy. The staff were cold, indifferent, and completely expressionless from start to finish. After eating the tripe, I immediately started having stomach pain, which was honestly alarming. This place seriously needs a thorough inspection by the health department. An awful, unacceptable experience. I regret coming here more than anything.
