Absolutely the best! Do go in and enjoy their gorgeous menu. Family run and they all make you welcome. John also helped us ringing a garage to see if they could fit our van in. Lovely people food and atmosphere. You will not be disappointed. We went in twice. Probably again too over weekend.

Vor unserem abendlichen Bootstrip in Estepona wollten wir uns noch stärken und haben dieses nette asiatische Restaurant gegenüber des Strandzugangs gefunden. Wir wurden durch die vorherigen Rezensionen angelockt und waren nicht enttäuscht. Die Reisgerichte hatte wirklich einen sehr guten Geschmack.

Don’t walk past, just go in and eat! 😊 Update 2 June 2024 Today we had the fresh springroll with 'peanut sauce'. As we are living in Holland, we were expecting a different peanut sauce haha. This was more of a sweet Tamarind sauce with peanut pieces sprinkled on top of it. It was filled with a lot of different fresh vegetables, nice starter! The Cerdo hojas de lima had a nice flavor, but the porc was not really tender. The Lechon Paksiw (porkbelly) was really crispy and nice, but our favorite remains the Adobo chicken :-) The fried rice with vegetables was really nice too. Another nice thing is, they recognize you, every time you return, and they greet you with a big genuine smile, that really makes you feel welcome :-) ——————————— Update 5 April 2023 We went again and again it was great 😊 a lot busier than last time, good to see that! This time we had the Varona Express, (asked for mildly spicy) the flavor reminded me of a Tom Kha Kai, nice. And the fried (glass) noodles were nice too. As dessert this time we had the apple crumble. Not much crumble and there was a spice in it we couldn’t identify, but it was very nice 😊 ------------------------------------- First time we had food from the Philippines and we liked it! Never been in the Country (yet), so we don’t know how authentic it is, but worth going to. Fast and friendly service. The main dishes didn’t come all at the same time, but we don’t mind that, then it’s like eating tapas 😉 We had the meat springrolls, adobo chicken and lechon kawali, all very nice. Different from all other Asian food we know, so a nice surprise.

Small, but nice family restaurant with Philippine cuisine. We tried several different dishes, all were very good and the portions were very big. The service was very good, very friendly and helpful people.

When you are tired of eating Spanish food here is the place to come. Huge menu including lots of Filipino food which I had not previously tried. I had a seafood curry which was incredibly tasty and not overly spicy. Prices are reasonable and staff, who speak English, are friendly and helpful. Service was efficient and quick. Will be back for sure. Update April 25: Third time coming here and everything is still as good as ever. Lots of Spanish locals seem to come here to drink, but they are really missing out by not having the food too. There is now a lovely Filipino server named May, who is very efficient, friendly and has a good sense of humour. She speaks excellent English and is learning Spanish as she goes along. Thanks for a lovely meal May, we'll be back again soon.

Absolutely amazing! We had the fresh lumpia, Lugaw, pork adobo, and pork sisig. Everything was fabulous. Coming from a Filipina visiting Spain ;)

Great little place, I stopped here for a quick bite after work and was pleasantly surprised. Lovely tasty soup and the spring roll with peanuts was great aswell. Definitely reccomend!

Do not walk by this Philipino bar, great in the summer months for a few drinks (alfresco). The food is fantastic & although the place is rustic looking, do not let this put you off, this is one of the best family restaurants that I have been in & could eat their food every day, give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Mi amigo jan es un maquina sirviendo y muy muy atento y amable y la madre mas aun. Siempre muy atento con la bebida y comida. La comida de excelente calidad y un precio excelente por 25e estas mas que comido. Ánimo jan mir.

Fuimos 3 personas a cenar en Julio. Comimos rollitos de verdura (lumpia), Adobo al estilo Filipino, Gyozas de pollo con salsa de soja, Sisig (oreja de cerdo) y arroz 3 delicias. Terminamos la cena con unos buenos trozos de tarta de tuca que estaba muy bueno! Precios correctos y muy recomendable!

Mi familia me ha llevado a este lugar y me ha encantado la comida!!! Muy sabrosa, casera, bien elaborada y las salsas espectaculares los dueños filipinos muy malos y serviciales, el local sencillo, sin lujos pero la comida vale mucho la pena, los precios razonables , lo recomiendo altamente y volveré cuando tenga la oportunidad!! La comida es deliciosa, casera y bien presentada. el lugar es discreto, entramos por casualidad porque teníamos un hotel cerca y teníamos mucha hambre. ¡No nos arrepentimos en absoluto y lo recomendamos!

Me ha sorprendido este bar. Es filipino de verdad y está todo buenisimo. Además las raciones son grandes y con dos platos y un entrante es suficiente para dos personas que coman normal. Además está genial de precio y las bebidas tipo vino las ponen bien servidas. Lo recomiendo mucho. Los camareros muy atentos y amables. Volveré sin duda.

He venido varias veces a comer y siempre son muy atentos y amables, desde la primera vez siempre q me cruzó cn el camarero x la calle me saluda cn una sonrisa. La comida muy buena y la amabilidad excepcional. Una vez el trato fenomenal, hoy he probado la tarta de Yuca x recomendación del camarero y ha sido un acierto. Muchas gracias x todo y espero seguir yendo muchas más veces.

Varona Resto Bar is located on the main street of Torregaudiaro. The menu features mainly Asian dishes, with a Philipino emphasis. The restaurant is quite basic, with a few tables inside and most of the seats outside, on the pavement. Unfortunately the building is largely abandoned, so the ambience isn’t great. The menu is relatively extensive, but below average for most Asian restaurants. However, for a quick lunch or dinner, it is sufficient. The drinks/wine menu is very limited. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is good, but quite basic. There are no surprises when it comes to the presentation or flavor, but one also shouldn’t expect too much from a basic restaurant like Varona Resto Bar. This doesn’t mean that the food isn’t good, on the contrary. The food tastes fine and the servings are filling too. Varona Resto Bar is a good option if you are looking for a good, fast bite to eat. Buen filipino en Torreguadiaro. Comida casera pero muy lograda. Todo nos gustó. Los dueños son muy majos. Lo peor tal vez sea la ubicación, con una terraza en mitad de la acera y un local sin ningún encanto. El precio tambien me pareció altillo, aunque lo cierto es que pedimos demasiada comida.
