Great little roadside burger spot. Burger had excellent flavor with lots of goodies. Staff was very nice and efficient. Food was out in 10 minutes.

The burger, fries, and milkshake we're tasty and hit the spot. A welcomed midday break. Food is cooked to order and the place is small, so there maybe a little wait. Maybe I missed other places but this was the only food spot along Hywy 36.

i have been 2015 there, the burger in this time were great, well seasoned, rich, juicy and the meat has been nicely tender. nowadays its not so good anymore.

We were there 12 or 13 years ago, the pics sure change since then, they had just gotten a zip code and so proud, the most amazing people, we was on a 2 week bike trip from Utah, camped in the "Mayors" yard, most inviting group of people, we had an amazing weekend there. Thanks for the memories!

The best burgers from Eureka to Red Bluff along highway 36 in beautiful Trinity County. Great selection of food, and they have super tasty milkshakes!!! Leave a good tip; they earn it!!!

Didn't get to snap a picture of the food but it is delicious. A little trailer turned food stop, they have a wide selection of american meals. The women behind tthe counter were super friendly. There is a little spot with picnic tables off to the side to eat, walk your dog ( make sure you pick up its poop), and stretch your legs. A general store is located next door. They have porter potty restrooms outback accessible by key to customers only. Stop by and support a small local business. You will be happy you did!

Food is awesome, been driving by the place for years always wondering what it like. Finally stop bu for lunch. I will be back.

Burger was great! Fries were so huge they are a must share. No restroom but bar next door was gracious to let us use.

Erin, the new owner, has made HUGE positive changes here! She's brought the famous creole dip back to the menu, as well as new milkshake flavors. I always get the grilled chicken burger with jalapenos and bacon, but the new seeded buns and fresh leaf lettuce took my "usual" to a new level.

The vanilla don't have as much flavor, but they are still very good and refreshing. I normally get the Mad River burger, which I think is the 1/4 pound burger (maybe not, I can't quite remember), but this last time, I wasn't very hungry, so I got the next size lower, which I think was the 1/5 pound burger. I could be making these sizes too small, and they might be the 1/3 and 1/4 burgers, but I think my original sizes might be more accurate. However, the waiting time here is normally a little long to order and get your food. Overall, this is a great place to stop and eat on a trip, if you also want to take a bathroom break too. There's also a great little deli down the street that has amazing jerky!

Have loved stopping here for my entire life. 36 has really changed and the only thing left between Red Bluff and Fortuna is Mad River Burger. Fortunately the burgers and fries are still very good. Unfortunately they aren't doing milk shakes anymore. The place is for sale BTW. Make sure to tip!

Friendly staff and good food. It's amazingly convenient during a road trip! It looks dingy but we have never had any complaints about the food. Outside seating only with Porta potties in the back that you have to get a key to.

BEST BURGERS & French fries in Trinity Co! This place is amazing. The best Milkshakes too! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED unless you gave them your order wrong. A great reason to go for a drive through Trinity & Humbolt Co on HWY 36.

Eating here is all about the experience. The food itself is okay. But, ordering it out of the back of what areas to be an old camper trailer and enjoying the only did on the middle of no where, at a picnic table, on the side of Hwy 36, is pretty awesome.

I have eaten here multiple times in the past and it is always super slow, no matter how empty the parking lot is. Last time I ate here, the burgers were raw in the middle and the fries were cold after a 40 minute wait.

We waited for over an hour just for 3 burgers, an order of fries/onion rings, and a half melted down milkshake. The burgers were not so great and dry but the fries and onion rings were good.

I’ve never been sicker! All I had was frenchfries and the oil must have been bad or something because I have never been that sick over food before. Traveling with some friends and we all didn’t feel good after stopping to eat here!
