I went in for a late dinner while my kids were around the corner at a rave. Wings were delicious, fried pickle spears brought back fond memories of Dallax TX where I had them for the first time and fell in love with them. Desert was to die for.
Service was amazing, had a social event wait-staff was very attentive. Food was delivered in a timely fashion, extra care was take to make everyone aware of when their items were brought out, even if they were at a different spot.
Sarah was excellent!!!!! Made the best coconut margarita I ever had!!!!! Service and personality were outstanding! I enjoyed my experience at Bootleggers because of her! Willl be back!!!!!
Fantastic food! Decently priced for the portion sizes. Recommended!
Perfect spot to grab a drink, watch a game or grab food (the rasp bbq wings 🤌🏻) Had been before but deciee des to rent out the back area for a private event. The owner Nate will do whatever he can to make your experience come to life with Meaghann the event organizer. They make your event easy to plan and help out while being very communicative. We will be coming back for any further private events!
Great place to meetup with friends and family. When everyone comes into town for the holidays, we always seem to end up at bootleggers. After the Turkey Trot this place is near the finish line, an easy walk to meet up and talk with other runners about the days race. The place can get crowded, but never overwhelming. I have never left disappointed.
It is a great venue for the college crowd to visit. The bar has plenty of drink options and always affordable specials. In addition, if you arrive early enough, you could even try out their grill. They had popcorn available for guests who arrive to snack on which is similar to what Biergarten does with the peanuts. Lastly, the dance floor is way bigger than Staut making the venue even more popular with students.
Absolutely fantastic. The food is to notch(I've had about half the menu and never been disappointed), the staff are all amazing (particularly Edward, shout-out him), and the prices are some of the most competitive in Troy. The only thing is that they get bogged down when the Troy music Hall has an event that weekend, so they'll switch to a "limited menu". The food from that menu is still fantastic, there are simply fewer options so they can manage to keep the wait down. For the full experience, try going during the week.
Wings are saucy and crispy, pizza is very under rated, They actually cook a pretty damn good steak and meatloaf as well! Staff is all friendly. Good draft beer choices. Friday and Saturday nights are very fun here as well, good crowd, stays civil, but gets fun still
My hubby and I visited his namesake, Troy. It was a lovely city, a little dumpy but a little hip at the same time. We went to the cutest mini fair, which included a psychic which we didn’t go to because we didn’t have cash. My boo and I (and our 2 sweet baby dogs) decided to grab a hard seltzer at bootleggers, it was lovely! The service was pretty good and I loved the patio.
This place just has awesome food, just a great atmosphere. If you wanna go in and sit down and relaxing, watch a football game. Or just relax and have a drink or just relax and eat great food. Great atmosphere definitely great service that's why I give this all around five stars
The guy playing music was great! Food took forever to get, but was delicious! Drinks were mixed well.
Traveling through area we found Bootleggers on Google maps as being within walking distance from our hotel. What a find! Casual atmosphere, outside dining, wonderful presentation of our meals and the very best waitress, Destiny- who was not only top notch as a server but extremely knowledgeable with wines, drinks, and brands of alcohol. For 21 years of age, this young woman knows the service industry! We had an excellent meal and enjoyed our time there.
A Troy classic! This place offers a fantastic selection of beer and amazing food in a great atmosphere. Highly recommend it, especially to anyone new to the area. Locals already know this is the place to be!
A great place to spend a day watching Sunday football. The food is great and there is a wide selection of beer, as would be expected. The service was good as well. Will definitely be back.
Ate a late lunch/early dinner outside here today (7/22). Beautiful Day Combined with Delicious Food at Great Prices! Our Server Karimah was Sweet, Personable and Very Attentive!!!
Went there today. 1st time visiting Troy NY. Was walking along and saw it was busy so my son and I took a look at the menu and decided to stay. Lobster Mac n cheese 🧀 was awesome 👌 and plentiful. My son's 12 Oz NY strip was good as well a bit over Cooke for Medium rare but over all good. The ser young lady with Black hair " did not catch her name" was amazing she was busy but never let up on service. Thank you. Highly recommended.
Great food and Service!
Had the most delicious lunch here after strolling through downtown Troy on small business Saturday. Friendly, attentive staff. Great food and generous portions. Highly recommend.
The cowboy burger, is my absolute favorite burger there. Buttery toasted bun, crispy onion stings, cheddar cheese n bacon w/ BBQ sauce. Whether I eat in or get it to go, they always "listen" and cook my burger perfectly the way I requested it, medium rare, so good. I always get the sweet potato fries w/ it, so crispy, fried to perfection and never soggy, the best! I give an A+ for the Cowboy burger at Bootleggers. Don't fix what ain't broken.
First Time was Delivery and the food was outstanding. My fiance is southern and very critical of every restaurants burgers. This is the very first one he said was spot on. Flavor and size. The beer battered chicken tenders were great. I was looking at the bad reviews and sadly though I can't say anything about the waitresses since we haven't eaten there yet the one experience we've had with their delivery was very satisfying. Hot and delicious. We'll be trying again to make sure it wasn't a one hit wonder though and then maybe trying the eat in service.
Best pork chop in the capital district!!!!
Everything great! Except Parking- on street parking.
Huge portions, very nice staff! We brought RPI students and alumni from our Fraternity.
For the amount of food you're getting, it is cheap prices. The food is also very very yummy, and the wait staff is very kind
I have hosted 2 events here and can’t say enough positive things. Meaghann goes above and beyond making sure everything is taken care of from beginning to end. Food and drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is perfect.
Always a pleasure. Food is consistently good. Cocktails are affordable and reliable. Staff is friendly and efficient. Burgers are awesome.
Ribeye With the basil butter crust was to die for! Thanks for the DJ willing to play my favorites. Service was fantastic!! Only downfall was no NY State Wines. Really??
Wife and I sat outside - was a Saturday during the farmers market - I live in Troy and first time trying Bootleggers. Was NOT disappointed at all. Will go back no question - I even tried something I have never tried before (peanut butter & Bacon burger) now... I try not to eat a lot of beef or pork so I substituted the veggie burger but still had the 🥓 and what a crazy delicious burger. Even with the veggie burger it was stellar good!! The fries, drinks, and my wife's meal was outstanding as well. She got the Turkey-Avovado wrap. It's worth the try if you've never been or if you have try something different! Will absolutely go back!
Excellence in service and quality of food. Ladies made our stay exceptional, with constant checks during our meal.
Ms Megan is going to show you what it means to be a master of the liquor bottles ("mistress" is, technically, correct but just feels really weird and inappropriate in this setting). She's also going to show you what it means to provide service that is elegant and friendly. And she's going to do that in a dignified way that too many of us nowadays fail to do in any circumstance, let alone the hospitality industry. If you order a classic cocktail, you will get something that is the epitome of its recipe. If you're smart, you'll order one of her special concoctions, which will be a delight in every way. Layered, sophisticated, and beautifully finished is each and every drink this young lady pours. I can't speak to the food, as I've never eaten there; however, I can tell you that, when in Troy, this is one of the places that must be a destination for you. Thanks, Megan, and Bootleggers (where all the staff are the type of people that you wish were your friends better smart enough not to be! LoL) for making a treat each and every time I stop in.
Great drinks live music. Great food Great time. Good vibes
Bootleggers is a staple in downtown Troy area! Drinks are delish and vibes are nice. I have come here a few times and have had a fun experience each time. However tonight I ordered a dish that had a funky taste, when I informed the waitress she was very very kind and offered something else right away. Otherwise the food is always great! 5/5 stars for great service and attitude. Thank you!
My family and I had lunch last weekend. It was very busy, but we did get seated and served in a reasonable amount of time. My husband and son tried the cowboy burger which was enjoyed by both. I had a Cobb salad that was absolutely delicious. Our server was very pleasant and friendly. We had a great lunch on a beautiful Saturday. We will definitely go back!
We were visiting during the holidays and it's a cool place. The waitress was super cool and they have lots of TV's with all the sports and and extra big room with even more. I had the burger and it was great. Solid beer list too.
We went on a Wednesday, so it was nice and quiet—almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was clean, well-kept, and had a great laid-back vibe that made it a fun spot for food, drinks, and a little entertainment. The only complaint? My wings could’ve used a bit more sauce… lol! Other than that, the food came out quickly and the staff was super friendly, which always makes a difference. Judging by the stage and setup, this place is probably hopping during peak hours and weekends. I’d definitely be curious to come back when it’s in full swing of I'm in the area again.
Gordon Lambsey here, the self-appointed sultan of sandwiches, and I've just had an encounter of the poultry kind that's left my taste buds in a state of euphoria. The Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich is a masterpiece, a symphony in a bun, if you will. At $16.95, it's like a high-five to your wallet and a bear hug to your stomach. The chicken, deep-fried with the kind of Cajun marinade that whispers sweet nothings to your senses, comes out wearing a coat of batter that's seasoned like a Mardi Gras parade. The hot honey wing sauce drizzle? It's the kind of sticky sweet heat that could start a party in a monastery. And let's talk about the brioche roll, grilled to a golden-brown that would make Midas jealous. But wait, there's more – fried pickles. These little crispy critters are the crown jewels atop this regal repast. And the side of Cajun mayo? It's like the cool uncle who shows up and makes everything more fun. Five stars? I'd give it six if I could. Get this sandwich, folks. It's clucking amazing.
Ive had a great dinner there and I went to a wedding reception there. Great place
Great place to spend an afternoon. Food is amazing and made to perfection. Many choices on draft beers and bartender has an arsenal of tasty drinks up her sleeve.
We love the Cheers vibe we get when we show up! Food and service is awesome! Fun entertainment all the time!
Great food, cocktails and happy hour. Nice place to go see a game. The summer outdoor seating is a great too. Live music on Fridays. We enjoy this bar and love the staff too!
Excellent food. Reasonable wait time for food. Friendly service. Price is competitive.
Shout out to the bootleggers bar and Grill for fire Saturday night🤗🥰. I originally wanted sushi but they chef wasn’t in so I walked around the corner and bootleggers🤗 was here. Food amazing ,service amazing , atmosphere feels like home. Thank you for your great service and good eats.
My wife and I held our wedding dinner at Bootlegger's. The staff was more than excited to help us plan our special night. We didn't want to deal with the craziness of hosting a huge wedding, so when we came to Bootlegger's they instantly made us feel heard and seen. We used their "Perfect night" catering package and added on some extra sides. The staff went above and beyond in getting the white linens and low rounds to really make the aesthetic work well for our event. All our guests were amazed at how tasty the food was and they haven't stopped raving about it since! The staff tended to my wife and I the whole night. We made the best decision to host our party here, highly recommend!!
We had a great experience here yesterday night. The atmosphere is a nicer pub, with lots of tvs above the bar if you want to watch the game. The tables where we sat were for enough away that it felt separate from the bar area, though. Also of note, bathrooms were very clean, which says a lot. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She took our order promptly and the appetizers (mozzarella sticks and soup) came out quickly. The entrees arrived hot and as we asked for them. Last, but definitely not least, the food was awesome! The mozzarella sticks were 6 to an order (I love when it's an even number) and I really loved the marinara sauce. The Buffalo chicken chowder was so good! A little bit of heat, lots of chicken and veggies, and just thick enough. We ordered the chicken tenders, which had a light and crunchy beer batter coating. If the batter is the same, I can't wait to try the fried fish next. We also tried the Cowboy burger. It came out medium well as we had asked and had just the right amount of bbq (I hate when they pour it on and soak the bun). Fries were good too. Overall, a pleasant experience all around and we will be back to try other items too. You should stop by yourself and give it a try.
Everything was perfect here today! The amount of Lobster meat in the Mac & Cheese is quite impressive and it is ridiculously good! I also got some of the Creole Slaw and it was phenomenal! It's crazy because I usually won't go to a place with this low of a rating on google. I was pleasantly shocked! I can't speak on anything else. This is my first time here and I got the best service as well. I highly recommend.
The food here is hearty with generous portions and I've never had a problem finding a table. The beer selection is great, from across the region as well as a large number of microbrews from all over. I really enjoy getting a beer flight and trying out a set of new and unusual beers. It's a definitely a solid college bar, with a few pub games and a regular trivia night. The outdoor seating during the late spring and summer is a great touch. It's a real go-to choice for a date night
Tonight, I am giving Taco Tuesday 5 stars. The fish tacos had fried jalapenos on top, they were delicious. The other tacos were also great. The waitress and bartender were friendly and personable. They did a great job, tending to us as well as chatting. Just told my extended family next week is Taco Tuesday at bootleggers and to join us.
Burgers were very good. Place is large. There were some sketchy looking people in there. Parking on street. Waiter was very nice.
Good food, prices and portions. Was very impressed that the waitress remembered my EXACT order from last time Guessing it was my good looks and charm😁😁. Only thing that wasn't 5 stars is their ticket times aren't exactly the fastest. Ok, so a liitle edit as my last experience wasn't as good. Bartender was lackadaisical in placing my order as she screwed up the same item twice. Not the same order, the same ITEM. How is that even possible?
Bootleggers was hopping due to December Holiday events going on in the city of Troy. Got a drink and waited maybe 15 minutes for a table. Proceeded to order French onion soup for the wife and then a white pizza for both of us. Everything was fine, food was satisfying and vibe was cool. Prefer my white za with more garlic but all was good. Service could have been slightly better but understandable with the circumstances of the establishment on a busy Saturday night during the Holiday season. 100% would return. UPDATE - Returned 3/22/24. Sat at bar, excellent experience. Great live music, fish & chips and wings on a busy Friday night. No complaints.
The restaurant/bar was nice and clean. Has a great atmosphere, and great choices from the bar and menu. My hubs ordered the Blue Moon battered fish plate with onion rings. Really yummy. I ordered the lobster Mac n cheese. It was kinda fishy, so I would not ever order that again. The crispy topping was great though. Our waitress was very good too. All in all- I'd definitely go back.
Great fish and chips and burgers
This is a very roomy locale for drinks and pub favorites ...traditional pub fare reasonably priced with serious amount of fried items but tonight we went for drinks before dinner and the coconut Margherita and Bavarian pretzels were both excellent! A nice surprise.
We were in a rush for a show. The server was sweet and accommodating. We only had sandwiches, but both were delicious ( BLT and veggie wrap). I wish we didn’t have to wolf them down!
Best wings we’ve had in a long time!! We sat outside and the service was a bit slow but other than that it was great. Cocktails were delicious
Ive oreded steak twice well done and both times the middle has been extra pink
Food looks great but tasted very bland. Service was good. Atmosphere was cute.
If you are getting food, don't expect great service. They had a few craft brews but no more than the next place. The food itself was good standard pub food. I am told the nightlife picks up here after 11 PM on the weekends.
Service was pretty lame my last visit but as a rule I've gotten good service. Bartender wasn't very knowledgeable and they don't have a good tequila selection but overall their decent. Good summer lunch spot. About what you'd expect from this kind of place. Their ace in the hole are the loaded tater tots!
The food he was very good. But it took an hour or more to get our food out to our table. They never stopped by to fill up our water glasses in that time. The only thing the server said to us was sorry that its taking so long for your food there probably almost done you just have to wait. I get you may be busy at times but to wait over an hour for 2 burgers, a wrap, and beer battered chicken fingers is a pretty long time. Then to never have the water refilled or atleast for the server to check in on us and keep us up to date would be nice. The only reason I give this establishment 3 stars is there food and drinks were good. If there service gets better I would rate this place 4 stars, possibly 5 after trying more items on the menu.
Nothing really stood out about this place. Yeah lots of beers on tap but all pretty common stuff. Food was ok but nothing amazing. We had a pretty big group, they had no problem sitting us, waitstaff was good. Overall just an average bar.
My last rating was 5 stars, this is not. Food took an excessively long time to arrive and it was warm at best. It probably would have taken longer but I got the waitresses attention and said something. Subsequently I learned that it took so long because of door dash and grub hub orders. The walk in diners should not have to take a backseat to someone on an app. We are not "regulars" but we have been coming here as long as it has been open. Hopefully, this is a one and done occurrence.
Atmosphere is laid back, staff was super friendly and attentive. My husband had a burger that was amazing. My steak and shrimp was not good. Steak was overcooked and the handful of previously cooked small shrimp were cold. The grilled asparagus was overcooked and mushy. I would stick to the bar food.
Food tasted a bit too salty. Great service. Quiet street w/ in or outside seating. Urban setting.
I've been to Bootleggers a few times, as the food is usually very good and the servers are usually pretty nice the food always take a very long time to come to the table. Today the food took 1 hour and 40 minutes to come to the table from the time we placed the order. When the food came the server told us she's sorry but the cook is very good. Regardless of how good the chef is, you don't go to a restaurant to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for your food. When they brought the corect chicken out for my salad it was under cooked. Overall if Bootleggers can get the time for food to be ticket to table under control, they'll be a better restaurant.
Okay... this place gets a very mixed review. The waitress was nice, but the food took a while to make it to our table. But it would be worth the wait, right? WRONG!! My peanut butter and bacon burger came out charred! I ordered it medium rare and one side of it tasted like the ashes from a house fire. The cook tried to slather on the sauce and expect me not to notice? Disrespectful to paying customers. I sent it back, and it's replacement was much better(...but still not perfect). My friend ordered the battered fish and that looked amazing. So next time I'm going for that.
One man band was way too loud. Had to yell to speak. Food was not good. Took way longer then it should have to come out. french fries tasted overcooked and were hard. Had a ton of salt on them. Black bean burger was decent but the cucumbers on top were slimey. Boneless wings tasted like they were cooked in a wood chipper. Were hard and tasted like wood.
My wife went for dinner with friends before a concert and the food took almost an hour to come out of the kitchen. This caused some stress since they were concerned about missing the start of the show.
Clearly asked for no shrimp in the jambalaya. Soon as I take it out of the bag there’s 3 huge shrimp in there. Glad I put order instructions for no reason. Not like I’m allergic or anything. Anyways that went straight into the garbage. $24 bucks and didn’t even have the decency to check the slip for a simple instruction.
It took me a year to come back from my last poor visit here and I have to say. I can remember why now. Bartender was more interested in conversation with another customer. Took forever to order. I could get over that but she took my Husband's drink order then started to walk away forgetting mine. It was an after thought and then she turned around to ask me what I wanted to drink. Felt very snubbed by that. Finally placed my order and got it to have the server walk away while I was requesting an extra condiments. He responded to aloud hey! Ordered dessert. The spoon was bigger then my cold pie that was supposed to be warmed. Annoyed beyond belief at this point. Never took my sliver cold$6 dessert off my bill.
My husband and I went there for lunch today We were greeted and seated immediately however things went down hill from there. The iced tea was watered down one with lemon and one without. We ordered a burger and a salad it took 45 minutes to get our Lunch. The salad was OK but the burger was definitely not worth the wait. Our waitress told us it always takes that long on Farmers Market days, but people around us (who came in after us) ate and left before we even got served. And we had to ask for silverware (initially provided us flimsy plastic utensils!)
I planned a Vietnam Veterans Fundraiser at Bootleggers - not happy with outcome. During the planning process, things were promised but not delivered. I had to pay for half the band. I told the “assistant” I was seeking a band to play for free. The “assistant” didn’t seem to grasp the concept of a fundraiser since she found a band who wanted $3k for 3 hours! The second band she presented was $1,500. The band, nor its followers, seemed to know they were booked for a fundraiser. Their followers didn’t want to pay the entry fee. Bootlegger’s marketing materials didn’t list an entry fee/donation at the door and most were hesitant to pay - even though it was for Veterans - held Memorial Weekend no less!!! The Band didn’t promote raffles nor 50/50 and had to be asked twice. A Ceremony was conducted prior to playing so they knew the theme for the day but didn’t seem receptive to helping raise money either, even after I told the sound engineer, I was paying half their fee! The “assistant manager” was unwelcoming and only checked in when wanting money from me. She was uncommunicative the entire time nor was she helpful. Three “bar regulars” were obnoxious, and one seemed to speak on behalf of the “partners.” The “regular” demanded his money back if Bootleggers didn’t put out the pizza promised then said we’d never “have another fundraiser there again”! He also made threatening remarks. The atmosphere was hostile and unwelcoming! We had to go to the bar for beverages since none of the waitresses asked for our orders. No one came around while we were packing up, which took a while. Customer service was poor! I made a phone call and sent email requesting a meeting with the “partners” but received no response to date - it’s been 1.5 months. I’m sure they knew of the problems encountered in their establishment but don’t seem to care. In the end, Bootleggers made money at the bar and off the menu and only had to pay half the band. We worked hard at the fundraiser and made a very low total of $540 for Vets - lower than any other fundraiser I’ve ever held! I was also in communication with Ryan’s Wake who approved my fundraiser, but only had availability the following month. I regret confirming with Bootleggers. I highly recommend Ryan’s Wake for fundraisers, if they have availability. I’ve been to several there and always had a good time. The manager and assistant are communicative and very professional. Their staff is awesome and welcoming! Lesson learned, but it’s the Veterans initiative that suffered!
Indifferent service (felt invisible) and under cooked burger (asked for medium, served rare). But hey, at least the fries were good. Asked to sit outside, told there was a long wait (Saturday Farmers Market). I sat and watched the many empty tables outside stay empty the entire time. No cutlery, no water, no napkins, no eye contact in an almost empty dining room. Would have put it down to a bad day, but the waiter was super friendly and engaging to the table of 5 people next to me. Waiter came by, asked how everything was without stopping and walked off before I could answer.
Waited 30 minutes for a beer and a wine. The wine had gone bad. We waited so ling to put in a good order that we were able to research other local restaurants and decide to leave. It took another 20 minutes to get the check for the drinks. We never got an apology.
I got thrown out and the cops called on me because some elderly people asked me to roll a CBD joint for them. The owner knew the old people were the ones with it, yet the owner made me leave. So no, I do not recommend this place at all. Here I am being nice to the people that bought me drinks while and I bought drinks and tipped. Yet the owner made me leave. I got thrown out because by mistake, I walked into the men's bathroom, first time there, the wording looked like it was the males bathroom. I was asked to go into the female bathroom which I did. I was merely helping out the nice elderly people that bought me drinks. In reality, the elderly people are still holding the bag and the joints and sitting in the bar drinking. So why did I have to leave? Why couldn't it be as simple as "don't do that anymore" ? I was respecting the elderly's request which wasn't illegal. The owner may not be racist, but why would I have to leave when they get to stay holding the stuff they asked me help with?
Definitely not going back. The customer service really sucks and the food came out saggy and cold. I got so sick after eating there. The waitress acted like she couldn't hear me speak and was rude when she got my order wrong. The wait time for the food was forever so the waitress avoided us till food came out. Waste of time and money.
I came here tonight with a group of friends for Troy Night Out. Granted, I’m a 21-year old trans man with a Pennsylvania ID that has a very noticeably different photo, but after some speculation, the bartenders handed me back my ID without scanning it or so much as another word. Luckily I was just happy to be out with friends, but definitely an embarrassingly common experience for trans customers & something to be aware of.
I just walked out a moment ago. After waiting 38 minutes for a burger I paid for my soda and left. As I was leaving the waiter was approaching with what appeared to be my food, but I can't hang around all evening. Guess it's Taco Bell drive thru. And it wasn't busy.
The store employees on the phone is so rude and unprofessional, manager need to replace them or hire someone who can do this job perfectly and professionally, shame on you!
Waited an hour for ordinary Pub food, not worth the wait! The band playing was way too loud and made the night even more annoying. My friends and I decided to stop at Bootlegger's on Troy Night out, never again! The waitress Nicolette attempted to be nice and assured us 3 times our food would be ready, but we should have bailed. The hostess seated us in the same area as 3 other tables, which would put any waitress immediately in the weeds. This is outright poor supervision and poor management!! The waitress came to our Table 10 minutes after we were seated and brought our drinks almost 20 minutes later after she took our drink and food order. This was a sign of bad things to come, but we were willing to stick it out since we were hungry. BAD mistake! We waited 52 minutes too long for ordinary pub food we could have gotten somewhere else. The waitress apologized and told us the manager would offer a complimentary drink and dessert. That was an ok offer, but a personal apology from a supervisor or manager who caused the mess, would have been more appropriate. Never again will I eat at Bootlegger's in Troy!
Terrible experience after the day hours. Security is physically harming people, owner doesn’t apologize or care even after informed I was severely injured here. UNSAFE place to be, not due to the crowd rather the security themselves are seeking to harm people. I can no longer walk due to them attacking me & allegedly they had wet floors & chairs in walkway placing many customers in harms way. Absolutely grotesque treatment.
We were visitors to Troy, NY last night (2/10/24), in town from Massachusetts to attend an 8 pm concert at the Music Hall. We were thrilled to be seated immediately upon arrival at 5:45 pm. At 6:15, after being totally ignored by a couple of waitresses in the area we were sitting, we finally flagged down a waitress and asked if we could place an order. We had drinks first and an appetizer, my husband noticed the negative body language on the waitress when we did not order alcohol. We placed our food order at the same time, 6:15 pm. At 7:10 pm, when the sandwiches we ordered had not yet arrived, my husband went looking for our waitress to cancel our order as we didn't want to be late for our concert. The food arrived at 7:15 pm, one full hour to bring sandwiches. When we complained to the waitress, she blamed the owner of the restaurant who seated us. She said he should have told us it would be an hour wait for food. I blame everyone, particularly the lousy waitresses. It's like we were invisible, they attended all the tables around us, but for whatever reason, they ignored us. Needless to say, having to inhale dinner before we had to leave was so not enjoyable. I will never return there and I will never recommend it to anyone. I understand a Saturday night is busy, but with a concert venue close by, you should be prepared to handle the crowd and respond in timely manners. The tip for the waitress reflected the service. We also did not receive a receipt for our meal so couldn't tell you who our waitress was.
Went there and left after waiting over 20 minutes with no acknowledgement, other than to bring a menu. Other tables seated after us were served, so this is not a matter of just too many people. We went across the street to Donna's and had a great meal and service that earned more than a 20 percent tip. We tipped accordingly at over 25%. Don't ignore slightly older people. We are more likely to have disposable income.
The lady who attended us was very rude and said hurtful things to us. She treated us badly and made the whole experience uncomfortable. I’ve never been treated that way before — very disappointing.
