Avis sur Ken's Pizza Tyler
I haven't ate at Ken's in a couple years but my son works there so I met him there. I do remember it being really good!
Our 4H group meet at Ken's for our monthly meeting. The staff was friendly and professional. The pizza was good and all the kids were happy!
Amaizing wings. Warm cozy beautiful vintage building. Brooke at the counter is super helpful. God bless her.
Kens is my favorite pizza place of all time. I drive to Athens from North Dallas at least once a month to come here. The service is great, the food is amazing and the place has an old time feel to it. Thank you Kens for always being there. You have a special place in my heart and life.
This place is great. Me and my family haven't been here for years. My wife passed 3 years ago so as we were passing the business we decided to go inside and it didn't disappoint. Thank you Ken's pizza for staying open after all these years and giving us a memory we won't forget.
My favorite pizza, hands down. Best sauce and crust. I always get either the Works or Alfredo pizza. The cheese bread and cinnamon pizza are excellent as well. If you can catch the buffet I recommend it! Also this is the ONLY ranch I love. I wish they'd bottle it.
The service is slow, and no one seems to worry about the salad bar at all. The food is very good if you can get past the buffet with no pizza on it, and the 15 min wait for a drink refill standing at the counter. So if u want good pizza grab it and go home. We spend around 60$ a week here because the food is so good, but again the service SUCKS, nothing but young ppl on staff with not a care in the world...customers are the least of their worries!!!
Athens Texas Bucket List - read a quote on the wall from Ken, "as long as you make a perfect pizza the first time, your customers will be happy"... so true, my wife and kids and I ate here - great service, and the deep dish supreme was off the charts with a crispy crust and cooked to perfection. I remember the days when Ken's had a joint in Commerce Texas - A' spot to grab a bite!!!
Pretty good cracker crust, took a while to get the pizza we wanted on the buffet. People were nice and service was good but some accountability needs to be made a priority, the restaurant is dirty.
We really like the pizza & cheese bread. The flavor & texture of the crust is flavorful. Lots of toppings on the pizza too. Service, we haven't had any problems. The employees are very nice & helpful. Atmosphere, that's where they could improve drastically. It's a little run down but I don't have any issues with it. Some people might though. They seem to have a great carryout business.
Order pizza for pickup today...yes it is superbowl Sunday but ordered early afternoon like 2:30ish. Ordered a large homestyle pepperoni and back with one half add jalapeños and the other half add mushroom...well one half JUST had mushrooms the other half all the goods. I understand being busy but dang read the order! Also, charged for 16oz ranch and didn't receive that! Yes, hubby should have paid attention for that but geez! Over $40 and half of it wrong.
The pizza is good but lacking toppings. The entire inside of the building is always dirty. It needs the ceiling replaced, carpet removed, small bathroom needs to be updated with additional room for handicap use, prep area needs to be updated and seating needs updated.
The pizza was not good or hot I requested a fresh one which was given but the thing that made it not good the cold pickled jalapenos were thrown on top not cooked with it. I only honestly enjoyed the salad bar but that I could tell it was imitation shredded cheese so that was not appealing. The Pizza Parlor was empty at 140 pm at lunch time 3 others plus me were dining in and I know why it is not a place to eat I will not go back I'm sure at one time it was a very good pizza place it's obvious manger or someone no longer cares No one was rude they did offer to make anything I wanted on the buffet it just wasn't good I only liked the thin crust. after the cold jalapenos were thrown on something it just didn't hit right there was no quality or price in the food on the buffet pizza. My opinion on the entire experience. .
The salad bar has a ton of choices to eat. When ordering a medium pizza for two, we asked for stuffed crust and immediately told they don't do this with the couples order. Friendly staff, pizza was good.
That pizza was the nastiest pizza I’ve ever Had I literally took one bite and could not eat the rest of it I placed the order through DoorDash. I would’ve rather eat a frozen pizza from Walmart than ate that it was the first time I ate there.
Place was so run down and none of the staff acted like they even cared. We were there for the Friday night buffet. Noone greeted us when we came in and 6 employees were working. They had to ring up the buffet to tell us how much it even was. We had Coke for our drink and they filled our glasses from a 2 liter. Salad bar was ok except when I found brown almost bad lettuce so I had to start my salad again with a different option. All the pizza and pasta was cold on the buffet. We asked for a couple different kinds. The hot pizza was good with the cracker crust. Obviously this is an original Ken's location and been around for quite some time. I grew up with Ken's in Missouri. BUT the service is what made this the worse experience. No greeting no smiling one girl dressed in shorts that were so short she should have been in Hooters and 6 employees there it should been different. The only time anything was said to us was bye when we left. So sad. We were passing through so thank goodness we will not be back.
Me and my family went to eat here for lunch for the buffet and it was probably the worst pizza buffet we’ve ever ate at. Not even my kids would eat the pizza saying it’s hard and sour. The salad was very wet there was barely any pizza. The bread was like a brick, it was horrible and not to mention it cost $40 to leave hungry. Mold on the ceiling it was so cold in there the kids next to us had there shirts over there legs trying to keep warm. I would never never never eat there again or ever recommend it to anyone else. It needs to be shut down with how disgusting it is.
It was miserably cold inside the restaurant When we asked if they could turn it any warmer they said they were not allowed to change it. It wasn’t just me that was cold- one man had on his winter coat and another little girl was shivering. I’m sorry this happened because Ken’s is one of my favorite places to eat.
Old hang out in the 80’s. It hasn’t been updated since. The buffet is subpar. Pizza was room temperature at opening. Warmer not warm nevermind hot. Salad bar was good a few months ago, this visit the lettuce wasn’t fresh. Lots of brown pieces. It tasted like a chemical was on it. Not edible. My whole salad tasted off. I took a few bites and questioned if I was going to be sick if I ate more. Maybe an off day. No desire to go back. The health dept would have a field day here. Maybe the pizza is good if ordered separately but the buffet was terrible. It needs to be cleaned thoroughly or remodeled. *Chocolate chip dessert was good.
This place used to be so good. Now, it's just a ran down dump. When my son and I ate there, it was apparent that the employees didn't want to be there. The pizza was ok, but the building interior is disgusting. The ceiling is caving in, the AC Unit is leaking water that drips onto the carpet. There's black mold all over the ceiling. There was no pizza on the buffet which is probably a good thing because it took a while to get our drinks. 25$ for an adult and one child, and only 1 drink, you would think they could clean the place up a bit. I won't be going back
