Excellent food and our server, Issac, was fantastic and exceptionally helpful for our first visit.
Went for Dinner…. Left completely satisfied! Nice place.
A wonderful dining experience with amazing food and with an excellent staff. Brayden made it an excellent dining experience. Linda & Jere Snell
Service great waiter food great had reservations no waiting
The food was impeccable! You will definitely not choose a "bad" dish! Every choice we had was delicious! The service was excellent and very accommodating. Will definitely revisit!
Great food, quality ingredients, friendly staff! The hostess went and made a birthday card for my 3 year old daughter with her name on it while we waited to be seated.
Nicki was our waitress. Very sweet and helpful. Food was wonderful. The blackend salmon was just right. Lovely presentation. The shrimp and angel hair dish was very good, also an eye appealing presentation. The bread pudding and chocolate molten cake was wonderful with every bite.
Staff was friendly and very attentive. Food was excellent as well as the home-made spirits. I would highly recommend everyone to try this restaurant. Cost was very reasonable.
Drove over from Waco on a whim. So glad we did. Wine tasting then dinner. The food was some of the best we ever had. The atmosphere was stunning, spring flowers and greenery. Service was top notch. Perri made our day. She was delightful.
For me to write a google review you have go really go above and beyond. Our service was at this place was amazing! If you want to hang out with your significant other and have a good time, then you should visit this place and request Stephen as your server. He is very attentive.
The restaurant is absolutely amazing. We had dinner and the service is as good as any service that I've ever had at a 5 star restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and generously apportioned. The wine pairings were also excellent with advice from our server. Looking forward to coming back again.
Steaks so good they should cost twice what you pay. Drinks are great, even if your not into wine. The staff is amazing. The whole area is beautiful. The best place in East Texas to take your honey for a great day. Try the Duck Cigars! He'll try anything. It's all good. Been going there for years. Treat us like family. Family you like.
Everything was amazing. Food is great, service and atmosphere was perfect. Thank you Stephen for a wonderful 1st experience.
We just love Kiepersol! From the kind and friendly staff to the delicious food that is perfectly prepared and served in an elegant but not stuffy setting, Kiepersol is one of our favorite spots to enjoy an evening.
Absolutely great experience. The food was amazing, drinks were top notch. And we could not have asked for a better server as Nikki was super helpful with insights to the menu, drinks, and the area (we are visiting) we stumbled upon this fine establishment and would highly recommend it to everyone.
Awesome experience!! We chose this restaurant to celebrate at and were not disappointed. Our server, Pamela, was the best. She helped us choose a wine. We love hamburger and theirs is huge and delicious. We also had the house salad with blue cheese dressing, homemade in house. We finished with the molten chocolate cake. Wonderful. We felt so pampered from the moment we arrived until we left. Pamela made all the difference. Ask for her and she'll happily make your visit just as awesome!!!! Christene, the greeter, was also very nice. The place is not persnickity at all!!
Karley was excellent… put up with us hard of hearing folks and really took care of us!
You want high end and not mainstream? This is the place for you. Classy upscale cuisine and a complete in house bar - only in house liquor and wine. Its weird, its nice, its your next stop. Tony, our server, gave us the absolute best customer service we have had in years. Thank God for people like her making good experiences great.
Everything was great! Server Emily was great. Deserts were awesome!
Great lunch! Celebrated friends birthday. Very relaxing. Great food!
Always a consistent and wonderful place to have a meal. You won’t be disappointed.
Heard about Kiepersol but tonight was my first experience. Wow, what a great restaurant and overall experience. I thought Willow Brook was about the best in Tyler but Kiepersol is up at the top as well. Don’t miss the country fried filet mignon and bananas foster!
Fantastic experience. We had a fancy meal at 2:00 on a Saturday in tyler. That's amazing because nothing else opens in fine dining until 4. On a Saturday.... that's crazy. So this is now our go to
We have been huge fan of this place. The food is fantabulous and delicious. We miss Pierre but the place always feels like home. It's been some time since our last trip to Kiepersol and it didn't disappoint. Everything was great. Cody is the bomb in service. A must ...to dine.
Wow! If you ever have the chance to visit Kiepersol, you should definitely go. They have a live pianist who enhances the classy ambiance. I ordered a glass of Kiepersol Azuca Artize and the 6 oz filet mignon and garlic mashed potatoes, which I highly recommend the pairing. When you visit, ask for Chris to be your waiter. Chris assisted us with our wine selections and took the time to explain the specials, even when we asked him to go over them again. Chris went above and beyond in his service. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a classy dinner with friends or a special someone.
Great food and service! Celebrated a birthday with 8 people, and our server Brayden was enthusiastic and attentive. Wonderful apps, salads, steaks and desserts
Another beautiful stay at Kiepersol B & B! The room was lovely! The sunsets are lovely over the vines. The steak dinner was worth the drive! Oh, French toast for breakfast tomorrow!! We can’t wait to come back.
We’ve always enjoyed our meals here, excellent service, appetizers are amazing, I tried their pistachio crusted sea bass this time and it was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend for a special date night out!
It's a get away from city life and traffic. If y'all want a honey moon or anniversary...this is the place for couples. Family friendly too. It's a long drive...but it's worth every mile to get there. Reservations recommended. Great for special occasions. Capacity is small..but cozzy. Take the tour as well. We just went for breakfast. Not recommended for Alcoholics in recovery. Temptations of alcohol. If you know what I mean. Please drink responsibly. Don't drink and drive. Uber if you must. Other than that....food is great. Recommend to couples only.
We weren't expecting much, just a fancy winery with overpriced lunch food. But the moment those Cabernet glasses appeared, gleaming like sunlit grapes, our skepticism evaporated. The first sip was a revelation: a tapestry of black cherries and spice, smooth as a rattlesnake in velvet. And then, the burgers arrived. Oh, those burgers! Mountains of juicy, perfectly grilled beef, nestled in buns toasted to golden perfection. Each bite was a symphony of savory bliss, punctuated by the crunch of fresh greens and the tangy whisper of special sauce. Every forkful paired perfectly with the Cabernet, the flavors echoing each other like old friends in a dusty cantina. We devoured those burgers with gusto, laughter rumbling like thunder across the tables. The staff, as polished as the silver platters, kept our glasses brimming and smiles wide. By the end, we were two contented cowboys, bellies full of Cabernet-kissed beef, hearts warmed by good company and a damn good meal.
Best steakhouse in Texas. Awesome caring staff. Robin is the best host. Grady is the best server. The food is prepared great and served promptly. Awesome quiet atmosphere and a great view.
We went here for our wedding anniversary. The staff was attentive and well trained in hospitality. I mentioned to the hostess that we were celebrating our anniversary and they made a special effort to make it wonderful. The Sea Bass was amazing, and my wife had the special with Filet Mignon and breaded shrimp and mashed potatoes. The Texas Artize wine was fruity with light body, but not too sweet. A great compliment to our dining experience. We will be back, as this restaurant is full service and top tier.
GREAT experience couldn’t ask for a better server his name was Cody very nice and boss if you want a good time ask for Cody service was tea and he suggested great options for us to try we got duck cigars and they were bomb food was exquisite the dessert we got was chocolate cake and it was absolutely breathtaking 10/10 would recommend to everyone I know
The food here was SO good. That to me, the prices are worth it. I had the sea bass, it was the best I have ever eaten. Service was superb and even felt honestly warm and friendly. The atmosphere was very good with no loud sounds or decor. The water"front" at the back added wonderfully to the scenery.
Was celebrating my birthday. Food amazing, service amazing, atmosphere wonderful. We love going to Kipersol.
Restaurant at Kiepersol was a wonderful experience, We made a reservation, drove through a very nice neighborhood to the restraunt. When we were seated our waitress Ashley introduced herself and made sure that we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was very beautiful and warm with the sound of beautiful live piano music playing. We ordered the crisp brussel sprouts and they were very good. My wife had the Rose' wine and enjoyed it, we both ordered Ribeyes and they were expertly prepared and tasted delicious. We took home dessert because we were so well fed. Looking forward to trying this bread pudding. Thank you Kiepersol for treating us so well we will visit again and recommend to those that will appreciate, as we did.
Grab a group of 10. Make a reservation. Prepare for an AMAZING experience. This is my 2nd time and we are already scheduled for 2026. We shall be back long before that, though. Just AMAZING!!!
Jill was an amazing server & the food incredible. Such a fun atmosphere - romantic, historic, gorgeous! We watched the sunset over the vineyards, then enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. Wonderful Valentine's Day!.
Read their website carefully first if you’ve never been here! I was unfortunately not able to update the Google map when I went, although I tried. The north roads are not open to the public. I did lots of research via their website and learned before I went to enter from the south side of the estate through the neighborhood (the website has great directions we used). I made reservations for lunch on a Friday when they opened at 11 before the winery tour which started at 1 (also made a reservation, separate phone call, see other review for Grand Room tours). More than enough time to enjoy lunch leisurely and get to the tour on time. Wonderful lunch experience! It’s the same location as the B&B. Quiet and peaceful. You could definitely eat lunch for less than $20/person (with tip) if you only order an entree. However, they have a great selection of unique appetizers and cocktails. Warm, homemade bread was complementary. I meant to ask, but they might have seasonal menus. Some items all year possibly? The sit down menu is different than the restaurant bar and the bistro at the tasting room located across the estate a short drive. A fancy experience!
My first visit to the Restaurant at Kiepersol and I absolutely Loved the dining experience. I was visiting a relative in Tyler, Texas and it was suggested we go to the Restaurant for a bite to eat. ( We did make a reservation.)The ambiance and the atmosphere are fantastic. The service was Outstanding. Our server (Alex from Henderson) was friendly, engaging and gracious. I ordered from the Saturday Breakfast Menu their version of Eggs Benedict (scrumptious). My cousin and sister ordered the shrimp pasta, while my niece ordered a bowl of Lobster Bisque along with a Caesar Salad. There were NO complaints pertaining to the food. It was all DELICIOUS. The next time I'm in East Texas, I have every intention of dining at the Restaurant at Kiepersol. It was an enjoyable brunch/lunch all the way around.
The food was amazing. My husband had the Lamb chops and loved them. I had the filet which was absolutely wonderful, cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. Alley was one of the best waitresses I’ve had in a while! She was very helpful, kind and attentive! Will be coming back.
We LOVED our visit here. It was wonderful! We were waited on by Pamela and she was so sweet with us and our children. The restaurant is beautiful inside and gives a lovely view outdoors. There is a lot of seating and the setting is nice. We were drawn here by the banana foster and cherries jubilee, and Pamela made that for us at our table, which was a wonderful treat for the kids to see. We also had the molten lava chocolate cake which was DELICIOUS, and she even thought to write a happy birthday message for my husband. We tried the oyster appetizer which way fabulous. My husband ordered the burger and I had their take on eggs Benedict. The kids enjoyed sharing our food and had grilled cheese, which was wonderful. Lastly we tried some of their hands crafted drinks with their house made liquor, and I cannot recommend them enough. The taste was exquisite and I would go back just so I could try some more of their drinks. Bottom line, I would highly recommend this for any special occasion, and it's well worth a visit on any other day. The breakfast and lunch prices are affordable at any time, and dinner would be nice for a special night.
The restaurant was comfortable and well appointed.. Our server was knowledgeable, courteous, and had all the right answers to the questions that we had. It was my birthday so, as a special occasion type dinner it was good. But being blue-collar couple that we are, it was too expensive for us to frequent. My wife loves the lobster and my ribeye was all right, but I’ve had just as good for half the price here in town. The distillery that this place is known for provide some top shelf option. That being said we really enjoyed ourselves and even though our wallet got skinny my belly got fat.
What an amazing experience. Made reservations for lunch at the restaurant and visited the tasting room before our scheduled time. Large open space and plenty of tables in the tasting area. Also an outdoor patio overlooking the vineyard. Staff seemed busy, though there were few customers. Tastings are assigned in groupings by type of wine, you cannot select just anything you want. Wife had reds and I had the spirit's selection (their own distilled Rum, vodka, tequila, gin and Bourbon). All the wines my wife had on the reds list she thought were phenomenal, my spirits were great, enjoyed the bourbon enough to make a bottle purchase. The restaurant was comfortable and inviting, with a bar area just passed the entry and tables tucked throughout. It was a quiet afternoon with not many patrons. Our waiter was helpful, polite, and knowledgeable about the facility and food. Our entree's surpassed expectations with appeal and flavor. We splurged for dessert and that may have been one of the best decisions I made all year. Do not...I repeat...DO NOT miss an opportunity to indulge in their sweets. We had a memorable time visiting Kiepersol and look forward to visiting again.
One of the finest restaurants in the Tyler area. After visiting the Kiepersol winery and distillery regularly for over a year, I finally had dinner at the restaurant and was not disappointed. The interior is a country style and very cozy. The bar is a great place to wait for your table, and all the staff is incredibly friendly and eager to make recommendations. Highly recommend the Duck Cigars appetizer, any of the Filet entrees, and the Lamb entree. I've eaten Molten Chocolate Cake at dozens of restaurants in multiple states and Kiepersol's is nearly tied with Fleming's Steakhouse as my all-time favorite.
We always enjoy our experience at the restaurant. Excellent service, wonderful food, and a very relaxing setting. Joesph provided top notch service to help us celebrate our anniversary on our most recent visit.
My wife and I enjoyed a great lunch today at Kepersol. Food was great as was our server, Maso is an excellent and attentive waiter. Try it I'm sure you will enjoy the event as much as we did. I recommend making a reservation.
This was our first time here and we loved every minute. We arrived a little earlier before our reservation time so we went to the tasting room. We aren’t wine drinkers but wanted to do a little wine tasting. Kevin was awesome! He gave us a little wine etiquette pointers and we tried some samples. Then we headed to eat. Cody was our server and he was awesome too! The oyster rockefellers were delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly and very tasteful. We had the cherries for dessert, cooked table side. Definitely a fun experience and the grounds are beautiful.
The service provided by Mason was outstanding. The food was excellent. Steaks were some of the best I have had. The cherries jubilee was to die for. The entire experience was worth it and we will be back.
We ventured to Kiepersol for lunch/dinner for an anniversary celebration. Our hostess Karley was spectacular and the food excellent. Mid afternoon with great company , exemplary service, wine and food relaxation at its finest. Thanks!
The best place ever. And the bartender Nicky she is a blessing explained everything to us give us some tips about booking rooms at the hotel restaurant! We just believe that every business in America needs a hard and happy worker as Nicky! We just love this place
Dinner was pricey but worth it. The service was great as well. It was date night for both us and another couple and choosing to dine at Kiepersol was perfect. We all had the ribeye steak and all of us agreed it was cooled to perfection. We will definitely go there again.
Not sure how anyone competes with these wonderful people! They have wines that are better than a lot of the California wines! And their distillery is amazing! The scenery is actually prettier than Napa Valley, which I’ve been to too many times to count! I’m just sorry we didn’t discover Kiepersol way earlier . And talk about excellent food in their restaurant and very thoughtful details in their accommodations!
Anniversary and first time to visit Kiepersol. Start to finish it was the best on every level. Our server, Grady, made the the whole experience our best dinner celebration in 28 years. Special place with very special atmosphere, food and people. We will not be waiting a year to go back!
Best restaurant hands down in the Tyler area! Everything is fabulous….the atmosphere, food and service are outstanding. My husband and I live in Louisiana and we come here at least once a month because we love the food and people so much! If you are looking for a great place for a date night or gathering with friends….this is it! Highly recommend! Robin, the manager, is the best!
We were first-time visitors to Kiepersol at our friends’s recommendation while visiting in Texas. The experience was exquisite in every way! We enjoyed one of our finest restaurant meals ever, while receiving absolutely top-notch service! Kiepersol is now one of our must-do stops when we return to the Tyler region!
Great place. The bourbon and tequila they produce is great as well. Food was great and served by a great waitress. The Smoked Distillery Old Fashioned, Duck Cigars, Oysters Rockefeller, Lamb Chops, Filet Mignon, Creme Brulee, and Bread Pudding were all great. Will be returning for sure.
We enjoyed a girls day trip to have lunch here. The dining area has a wonderful atmosphere, and the food was delicious and not expensive. Mason was our waiter and he was the best. He was very attentive and answered all our questions about the menu. It's well worth the drive!
Kiepersol is the go to for special meals with my sweetie. Tonight was another night of excellent service and delicious food. I have yet to find anything on the menu that wasn't terrific and this evening our srver Mason did a top notch job and outdid himself with the Cherries Jubilee. Thanks to him and all those behind the curtain who make this a special treat!
When people ask where the best place to go for a fancy meal on a special night, Kiepersol is always the number one suggestion, deservedly so. My husband and I were celebrating our 23rd Wedding Anniversary and came here for our first time ever. We very rarely go out because it always disappoints (I can cook WAY better than most places), not Kiepersol! The food, on every single level; heat, flavor, spices, presentation, etc, was perfection. Our server, Allie, was professional and playful when we engaged her in that fashion. She had the perfect presence for our meal. I asked the manager, Tanya, to sit with us so we could rave about how she ran her crew, what a wonderful job her cooks were, and how she presented on the floor. Tanya is a hands-on manager. We saw her pride in every detail all over the restaurant and she didn't shy in being a hands-on helper when needed. She runs a tight ship with an excellent staff. My husband and I have been all over the world and dined at VERY fancy establishments, some with $500 bills for two...with a very close second to a meal in Paris, France, I would place our dining experience at Kiepersol at the top. I will always suggest Kiepersol every time to anyone.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at this beautiful restaurant; the food was delicious and we highly recommend their heavenly bread pudding; of course their Pink wine was fantastic! The atmosphere is very beautiful and peaceful combined with a friendly and professional service. Looking forward to come back to Kiepersol restaurant!
Family outing. Rodney was our server and he was superb! Great sense of humor, professional and neat appearance, timely with refills, and an overall pleasant demeanor. We were greeted and seated quickly by the host. We were seated in the private dining room with the long table for 12. We ordered the Lamb Chops, Shrimp Pasta, Chicken Kiepersol, Vegan Steak, Duck Cigars, Calamari, Oysters Rockefellar, Brussels Sprouts, Lobster Bisque, Warm Spinach salad and a few drinks. Every single morsel was good. For dessert, we ordered Cream Brulee and the Bananas Foster. Rodney did an excellent job of presenting the flambe Bananas Foster. We loved it. We headed over to wine tasting and enjoyed our selections on the patio overlooking the vineyard. We will be back many more times!
Took my daughter here for Valentine's Day. I was homeless the last three years. Lost my kids bc I couldn't afford a home. I'm on my way back up and this place made a memory we will never forget. The waitress Alix was perfect. The food was perfect. The timing for everything was perfect. Once I get us a place to call our own, I am definitely coming back to celebrate with all my babies. Everything was perfect. Kind of tricky to get to but worth every second of the drive. Even the other customers were incredibly friendly. The banana flambe dessert was unexpectedly the best dessert I've ever eaten. This is definitely my new go to special occasion memory making spot.
The food was good but not exceptional. It's pretty pricey and the food should be better at that price point. The atmosphere is very good.
A must visit gem in Tyler! The crab cakes, duck cigars and lobster bisque were fantastic. The sauteed shrimp didn't quite meet our expectations as we thought the dish was supposed to be lighter. The star of the show was the cherries jubilee, which is prepared table side, absolutely delightful!
It's kind of a weird location for an eatery. It's a restaurant/bed n breakfast located inside a residential subdivision. The vineyards, ponds and grounds are beautifully maintained. Great scenery! However, the food is a No No! For a Steakhouse, they are not skilled at cooking steak. We ordered a medium and a medium well steak and both got WELL DONE steaks. Potatoes needed salt, steaks needed salt, food was bland. Customer service was great, we were served by Cebastian who was exceptional!
Dined with two friends on a Thurday evening. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is nice. Parking was a bit sparse. We started with bread which was not note worthy. Then we had the crab cakes. They were crisp and the jicama slaw was delightful. We also ordered the shaved Brussel sprouts. They were unremarkable and a bit bitter due to being oversized. I ordered the ribeye. It was cooked perfectly, but the cut was full of fat and sinew. The mashed potatoes were to the point of being broken - grainy and not warm. My friend had the Colorado lamb chops. She said they were tender. My other friend ordered the filet and was pleased. We each had a cocktail, mine the lemon drop martini. It was okay. We also ordered the bread pudding and the chocolate lava cake, both of which were good.
Reservation for 4 for lunch and hostess couldn't find it. It was under phone number, not name. Waiter was OK, but we waited over 50 minutes for our food. We were told they had a large group, but that's not really an acceptable excuse for the wait. Filet burger was good, but lacking in size compared to proor visit and sour dough bread was too large for burger. Very disappointing experience.
Disappointing experience. Oysters were very good and the best of our dinner. Seabass needed seasoning, salmon over cooked, lobster bisque was bland and more like gravy than bisque...chocolate cake was good but the ice cream's texture was off.
I took my bf here for his 40th birthday and sadly, it was so so disappointing. The food was overly priced for the quality, the steak was tough to chew, mashed potatoes were so salty, the apps weren’t great either, but the desert was ok. We got two mains with 2 apps, a bottle of wine and desert to share and it ended up being about $450, which is ridiculous considering the quality was less than just ok. What was most upsetting is that at the end somehow none of my 5 Canadian credit cards didn’t take, although I used them in other locations with no issues, and they couldn’t tell me why. The banks told me no attempts were made through those credit cards. Anyways, it honestly ruined the experience, I was so embarrassed. Sure, yes the grounds are nice, the aesthetic is old school, but for the quality of the food and the price and the payment issue, no thanks, will not return.
We have been coming to the restaurant since 2008 and have never had a bad meal until tonight. Between the service and the meal not sure if something has changed but the experience was not the best. Our server seemed like n experienced and never asked us how our meal was. Reservation for 6:30 we received our appetizer at 7:10. The duck cigars tasted like pate and were not very good. I had lamb chops, which were undercooked. Overall, the atmosphere is always nice, but this visit was probably the worst we’ve ever had.
I'm giving the food a 5 star because it was delicious, but our server was horrible. You could tell she made assumptions about us and figured she wouldn't get a tip, so she just stuck her nose up at us the entire time. Very rude and I will not return due to her service.
Spent over $100 on drinks only to have to pay a $10 sharing fee for overpriced food. Also, servers love to judge, as our lady literally had her nose in the air. Will not be returning to Kiepersol.
