What a FUN place to celebrate a delicious breakfast! We loved the cozy atmosphere with the wide variety of coffee mugs! Our server CATHERINE was AMAZING as she was quick to start our beverages, take our order and serve our food! The portions are generous especially the delicious waffle! We are anxious to return to try something new considering all the enticing options on the menu!
We ate here for the first time today. The food was very good. The service was excellent. We didn't have to wait long to get in. The prices were reasonable.
Overview: A delightful restaurant with a warm atmosphere and attentive staff. I ordered the California Omelette, which was flavorful, and enjoyed their coffee with free refills. Pros: Ample parking available nearby Extensive menu with a variety of options Healthy choices included Free coffee refills Reasonable prices Spotlessly clean restrooms Cons: Parking is limited to 2 hours, requiring a move of the car The interior is somewhat small, which may be uncomfortable for those with claustrophobia Details: I visited for brunch with a friend I hadn’t seen in a year. Our waiter was friendly and patient, giving us ample time to decide on our meals. He frequently checked in, ensuring my coffee was always topped up. Despite needing to move my car twice, we felt relaxed and unhurried as we caught up over delicious food. Conclusion: I would definitely return for the California Omelette and the inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended for a laid-back brunch!
There is a reason this place is always packed and people waiting outside. This place is good! Food is excellent, served hot and fast. Service is awesome. Place is clean. A reason to visit Vacaville. Worth the wait if your caught in a crowd. Rewarded with a belly full of Breakfast joy.
Great food! On busy days (weekend mornings) the service is pretty bad, but keep in mind they are absolutely swamped. Maybe they need more staff on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Eclectic vibe, walls textured in brick and wood slat and hung with large-scale local art, historical photographs, and kitschy slogan plaques. The food is good, the staff - salty (in the most endearing way). Diner menu but elevated; with special offerings like Christmas Special (Christmas dinner in sandwich form) and The Full English. The food is Real and so are the Servers. Come have a good meal with good people - or try one of their signature cocktails, you’ll forget why you needed it.
The Wait Is Completely Worth It!!!!! This omelet!! The tomatoes are roasted, the mushrooms are sauteed the egg is perfectly cooked! The bacon is thick and tasty. The country rosemerry garlic potatoes are tender, wonderfully seasoned...with a tang of garlic. Everything is delicious!! They have flavored creamer for coffee...one of my favorite things! The staff are all very friendly and running around busy. The atmosphere is eclectic classy. Being in old town parking is what it is but walking a block or two after these huge portions is necessary plus this area is beautiful. Must come back and try a Deep Fried Bagel!!
Delicious breakfast spot! Makes a great pre-farmer's market spot. Whether you're a savory or sweet breakfast fan there are solid options. The location is justifiably busy though, be prepared to sign the waiting list up front and wait 15-20 minutes for a table, longer on holidays or around events. The location is a bit older so might not be a great option if you need space and accessibility.
Absolutely delicious! We had pancakes, waffles, grits and an omelet with bacon and sausage sides. The food is fantastic... Cooked to perfection and taste like homemade. I highly recommend all of it. We still have loads we'd love to try as they have lots of selections and serve lunch as well.
This is a hidden gem of Vacaville on Main St. and is worth checking out. The wait time for a table (on a weekday)was reasonable and the food was definitely worth the wait: bacon crisp but not burned, eggs just right, hash browns steamed as I cut into them. They have a generous, down-home cooking menu, our waitress was polite and friendly, and the decor reminds the patrons of some of the old-West history of Solano County. Great place for feel-good food, but be aware that on the weekend there may be a longer wait time than 10 minutes.
The biscuits and gravy are amazing! Cinnamon roll- Amazing! French toast? Divine!! I highly recommend this cozy cafe!!
Great cafe for a delicious breakfast or lunch. The chicken fried steak was perfection on a plate! We will be back.
Great service, great food, and great atmosphere. The owner is a hoot. Will definitely return as this was my first time coming to HH. It has the quintessential family environment.
My wife & I drove two hours to meet my sister Julie and brother-in-law Bruce for breakfast Sunday. I had the Full English and she had Ruben Sandwich, my sister had the 3 dollar size pancakes & bacon Bruce had grits bacon and sausage. The food was delicious! We never had so much fun. It felt like we were having a meal at a friend's house. The service was simply the best! I would go back just to chat with her again. She is such a treasure you really should add it to the top of your list! Mike & Elizabeth Red Bluff CA.
FOOD: Thee Best Corned Beef Hash I have EVER had!!! Meat was tender, flavorful and DEEE-LICIOUS!!! Sausage and eggs were very good. SERVICE: Friendly and FAST! My wife was wondering if they read our minds or if they already had food made! LOL!!! She said our food came to the table faster than any place we had e er eaten! ATMOSPHERE: Quaint little restaurant that has been well established for many years! We must have gone at the right day and time because there is usually a line to get in the door. GREAT overall breakfast experience!
This place feels like it’s stopped in time , I was so in love this place . Loves the decor and their breakfast menu is so good and plenty of choices. I enjoyed the chorizo, each of their mugs were different and quirky, even their furniture was so quirky, very friendly people and staff , plenty of parking Available
A MUST HAVE!! 11/10 amazing food!! I ordered the Corn beef breakfast And my fiancé ordered the biscuits and gravy with over easy eggs! We also got the loaded grits with an Irish Coffee!! And let me tell you! The food was absolutely delicious!!! We attended Saturday morning after work! There was a small crowd in front but we put our name on the list and was seated within 30 mins ! I must say the atmosphere was pleasant and i enjoyed the plates and cups used, instead of the same generic dinnerware. All the plates and cups were different and of variety which made it feel like a home away from home! Plus service was amazing and the ladies working were extremely friendly!
I don't know really where to begin...Went here as it was close to shopping we were doing in Vacaville and highly rated. The wait was a little over fifteen minutes and there was a lot of people at around 11 A.M. on a Saturday. The menu was innovative. The flavor is just spectacular.I ended up getting a Fiesta Omelet which was half the size of the plate. Such great flavor I really hated adding a little bit of hot sauce. My wife had the Belgium waffles which were absolute heaven. Good thing we don't live in Vacaville, as this place is dangerous 😉. Will definitely be back.
I sint live in Vacaville but when Im there, this has been my go-to for brunch! The cinnamon rolls and biscuits are excellent. Loved my corned beef hash and fried chicken steak with waffle-so good! The staff is efficient ajd friendly. Love coming here-solid establishment.
Went on a Saturday morning and had about a 20 min wait. Cozy vibe with lots of historic decor. California omelet was solid. Hash browns were not crispy enough for my liking, and sourdough was not sour enough. French toast was amazing and would recommend! Service was great. They were friendly, quick, and they kept our coffee full. Prices were average. Parking was tricky near the restaurant, but there are free lots nearby that are a short walk away. Would come back just for the French toast!
We found this Cafe on Google maps and I had never heard of it. It had 5 stars and we wanted Breakfast. We only had to wait 2-3 minutes before we were seated and the service was great. Mary was exceptional and friendly. Ordered the Waffle, eggs, Rosemary potatoes and bacon along with a side of grits. 2nd order was Dollar pancakes, eggs and bacon and Rosemary potatoes. Food came out quick, was cooked perfectly and was delicious! I highly recommend the Cafe for Breakfast. And it wasn't super busy we got there at around 11am.
I am new to the area and decided to try this restaurant. Atmosphere was pleasant, food was great, had French toast with my omelet. There was only a 2 dollar charge for the upgrade which I felt was very reasonable in today's environment. I was seated as soon as I walked in, a large HOT coffee was served quickly, food came very fast, and was hot and freshly made. Maria was very friendly and accurate with my order. I do recommend this restaurant.
The food was amazing, my egg white California omelette was on point and was not falling apart as it often happens when you remove the yolk. I did not need any salt which is unusual for me, just showing that their seasoning approach was on point. The atmosphere was busy and loud, servers were all super friendly and on top even though the restaurant was busy.
My son and I were seated right away. Our server was excellent. Our food was ready fairly quickly after ordering, and it was delicious. It was a good amount of food, too. The prices are pretty good!
The food here was great! The breakfast burrito was very tasty and the Salsa complimented it very well. My mother got the Chilequilles with over medium eggs and she was extremely pleased with what came. The coffee was also extremely delicious, and the staff were very friendly!
Food was delicious 😋 and large portions so you get good quantity for the price point. The food came out fast and our waitress was very attentive. It filled up fast as this is a local favorite and I can definitely see why. We will for sure be going back again to try other dishes. Parking was adequate. We got their right when they opened so no wait. Down home atmosphere.

My server had a warm and inviting disposition. She also has an amazing English accent! My food was exactly what I expected…delicious. My 1st time, but NOT my last!

Everything was amazing! I loved the Joes scramble, and the French toast. They let me substitute the toast for the French toast for an uncharge (best decision I made). The portions are large so I can save some for later. There was a wait outside; you have to put your own name on the waitlist. It was worth the wait.
Cozy, Hometown Café with Great Breakfast and Friendly Service Heritage House is one of those classic local gems that makes Vacaville feel like home. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and exactly what you want from a breakfast spot — cozy booths, friendly servers, and the smell of coffee and pancakes in the air. The food is always comforting and satisfying. The portions are generous, everything tastes homemade, and it comes out hot and fresh. I’ve had their omelets, pancakes, and country potatoes — all delicious. It’s hearty comfort food done right. Even when it’s busy (which it often is on weekends), the staff stays upbeat and attentive. They always make you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. If you’re looking for a laid-back breakfast or brunch spot with great service, good coffee, and that small-town charm, Heritage House is the place to go.
First time visit today with Family! Celebrating my husband’s 71st birthday. We were a party of six adults and two toddlers. Everyone ordered something different from the (breakfast and lunch menu), and no one was disappointed. We were all very pleased !!! The staff was timely and the service was fantastic! The owner, Mary was also very hands on and was cordial and accommodating. I would definitely revisit Heritage Cafe and I highly recommend…you won’t be disappointed. Happy Customer

Ordered the sweet potato hash am I mistaken there was no corned beef? Shouldn't it though? Kinda disappointed maybe I should of asked...can someone answer my question pls
We came on the labor day weekend. The food was great and the service once being seated was amazing! I ordered the omelet with hash-browns and fruit. My sister ordered eggs, bacon and fruit. The coffee was great!
Had french toast myself. Yummy. Friendly service. Popular place. Sat at counter which had no wait. Tables had a wait list.
Very nice staff and really good food. The Cowboy- chicken fried steak on top of a waffle and served with fried eggs and gravy. This was filling and excellent. Fried Egg Sandwich- this was good as well. Not fantastic but a solid breakfast staple. The rosemary potatoes served with it were excellent.
Heritage house is always good! We used to not stop by because of the wait. But we have decided it's worth it. Food is always 👍🏽👍🏽 and comes out quick. Staff is friendly and helpful. We had Fried egg sandwich with hash browns Side of crispy bacon Rosemary & garlic potatoes The Cowboy Everything was tasty!
Great cafe to check out in downtown Vacaville! Great atmosphere, awesome server, friendly. Fast service and great value of money, huge portion of every odered.. I loved their combo plate for pancake and waffle.. and great rosemary garlic potatoes. I wish hot chocolate is not that's sweet, the rest I would give 4* over all. Great place to check out!
Great breakfast everytime I eat here. Food is to order and filling. I havent tried any if the lunch items. The servers are friendly and fast. It's a laid back cafe and famous to locals. I definitely recommend this place.

First time in Heritage House and have lived here 31 years. Ordered a California omelet and was disappointed. Hardly any cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes leaked their juices onto the plate. Potatoes were cut into little squares and I expected home fries, but got those. Service was excellent, only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Wait staff was happy and friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean. Hated spending $50+ for 2 people on that.

Went here after looking for a new breakfast spot open day after Christmas. It had great reviews. Wait was long & you had to stand out in the cold. No problem with that, tho. Food was okay. I had eggs benedict, wanted beef hash but they couldn't take out the onions & bell peppers. Needed a little more seasoning. Rosemary potatoes were good but the jollyrancher mimosa was the best!
I've gone here twice now and the food is great, really big portions, good selection of items. Today I saw they accept online orders until 1:15pm and I know you can call in your order and they'll have it ready for pickup, so I tried calling at 1:10pm to ask if they'd let me place an order for pickup at 1:20-1:25pm. It went to voicemail after ringing a ton of times, so I figured maybe they didn't get to the phone in time, and tried calling again, someone picked up the receiver and hung up on me. I thought I accidentally hit the "end call" button so I tried calling one more time. They declined my call. If someone had just picked up, and simply told me they weren't accepting any more takeout orders, I would have been disappointed but not upset. The fact that they chose to not even have the decency to do that is what upsets me the most. In a matter of 3 minutes I lost a lot of respect for this place. It's very disappointing that rather than choosing to simply be polite and allow me to ask, which they very easily could have declined and I wouldn't have been upset. I will honestly think twice the next time I feel like I want to visit Heritage House Cafe.

Food is great every time we go but waited for our group of 7 to get a table and 45 minutes later standing outside they put a group of 6 who came only 5-10 minutes ago before us. Not cool.
I don't know where to start. Well, when we arrived, they greeted us very friendly. But the waitress, Katherine, seemed like she was having a bad day. She took our order with a bit of an attitude. It's okay, they were a little busy. The food came out quickly, but she never came back to check on us. Maybe she should get another job.She never checked if we needed more coffee(we love coffee). We finished eating, and she didn't bring us the check. I had to ask someone else, but thanks to this bad experience, we won't be returning to this place. Oh, did I mention there was no A/C and no ice when the weather was almost 90 degrees?
Don't go here if you have celiac, or any gluten sensitivity. I double checked with our waitress to make sure my meal was gluten free. She said 3 of the cooks says "no" but the manager said "yes" so it doesn't contain gluten. I thought that was weird but I trusted her. Bad idea, should have listened to the cooks. She also made a joke that the coffee was gluten free too, I didn't order coffee. Bearly made it home before I got sick. I called to to make sure, and the manager adamantly denied there was any gluten. And that "they have lost of celiac clients that come and never get sick." Also the waitress just came to our table and stated the price while I was mid conversation. Didn't even ask us if we were ready, we had just finished and maybe stayed for a total of 30 minutes for the whole meal.
