Luxurious, inexpensive, very nice people... I highly recommend it, the best I've ever been to.
You can tell it's run with love. Simple but authentic food. You feel right at home. However, there's a lot of echo/reverberation upstairs; we recommend going downstairs or to the terrace.
I don't know why it has such a low rating. Two full breakfasts for 4.90 euros on the terrace, a full breakfast with coffee, two huge and delicious toasts with olive oil and tomato, and one orange juice, and very good service from the staff. In my opinion, it's 5 stars for the value (at least for the breakfast, I don't know about anything else).
Located amidst the bus junction of Valladolid in Paseo zorilla at the corner opp to Military Hospital. Very famous for cafe . Spanish omelette tortilla is good. There are both vegetarian and vegan options. Zumo de naranja for people who opt for drinking natural. The biscuits which are served along with coffee is amazing. Three flavors apple - manzana, chocolate and hazelnut. It is an exclusive brand of cookies.
This place is located on the corner of Paseo Zorrilla and Gabilondo, near the Military Hospital. I can't be very objective in my review because they didn't have the breakfast I wanted, so they offered me a croissant with ham and cheese. It was tasty, but a bit overcooked. The service from the young man was excellent and very friendly. It's definitely a great place for a snack! And if you like churros, they have those too.
We went during the Valladolid fair, we were on the terrace and the waiter Manuel served us wonderfully. We asked his name, and for this reason we were grateful for the good service and quick service despite the fact that it was a fair and everything was full. He served the entire terrace, which was packed, and on top of that, he gave very good service without losing his smile. Thank you.
Breakfast was good and reasonable prices.
A classic place in Valladolid with memories of a distant childhood full of challenges and promises
I returned to this café after many years, and it's just as I remembered it; it still retains that traditional bar feel, with all sorts of customers, which gives it a special touch. Different. They offer savory food, with portions, tapas, and homemade dishes. Wide variety. The prices are quite reasonable; the service is very good. Large outdoor terrace. Highly recommended. 👌
We enjoyed hamburgers and beer, prices ambers service were good and the food was very tasty. Enjoyed the meal, thank you Moka.
Nothing particular its tapas and expensive for the service got.
The bartenders, both incredibly rude, came in at 12:26 trying to order breakfast, and at 12:31, one of them very rudely turned around and told us he wasn't going to serve us breakfast... his colleague, who had seen everything and how they ignored us until we arrived on time, was very polite and helpful in resolving the incident... but the other two were completely unacceptable.
This café is in a great location, but it's desperately in need of renovation, or at least a thorough cleaning. Everything shows signs of neglect: the electrical outlets, the woodwork, the bar itself. It lacks the drive of a new owner who wants to make the business profitable; everything is outdated and lacks entrepreneurial spirit. It's a shame, given its prime location.
The staff, including the owner, are incredibly rude. You're waiting to be served and they completely ignore you. Except for one of the waitresses who is lovely.
I ordered a coffee (€1.60) and wanted to eat two cream-filled pastries. I was told off and forbidden from eating them inside the bar (I understand it was the owner). I respect her decision, but I won't be back, and above all… I don't recommend it. Furthermore, the bar was dirty before I sat down (very sticky and with coffee cups lying around). A shame for a café with such a long history in Valladolid.
Unpleasant experience. The waiter, who, I don't know if he was being friendly or some other pretense unbecoming of his profession, failed to offer proper service. We ate upstairs while the customers downstairs were vociferously shouting.
