Excellent cuisine, generous portions, exceptional fish and very kind staff. If you pass by Varazze you can't help but stop by Bistrot Charlie. You'll wake up satisfied and full! Excellent mixed fried food, spaghetti with salmon and curry, Chianina roast beef, pansotti with walnut sauce.... Excellent quality and low prices, it seems impossible but it's all true. Try it and believe it!

It's a great place known to locals, where you can eat good food at a reasonable price, with a set menu (if I remember correctly, only until Friday) for €12. The "normal" prices, with dishes costing €8-9, are hard to understand, as they're disproportionate to the set menu. The service was decent, although we were asked to leave our table to make room for the other customers in line: we were leaving, and a minute's wait would have been enough to leave a better impression.

A small restaurant not far from the sea. Open for lunch, it offers a menu with three choices of first and second courses, two side dishes, water and wine, as well as individual dishes. The quality and attention to detail are a pleasant surprise in a restaurant geared towards lunchtime, with paper tablecloths as the service. The menu focuses primarily on Ligurian cuisine. The staff is welcoming, and the service isn't rushed like other restaurants that try to get guests up as quickly as possible to accommodate another. The menu price was €11, with other dishes ranging from €8 to €20 (08/01/2020). Excellent value for money. In summer... book!

A pranzo menu fisso a 10 euro abbondante. Buoni i piatti (trofie al nero di seppia con ragu di mare molto buone). Un po lenti tra primo e secondo e si sono persi ordinazione di vino aggiuntiva arrivata dopo vari solleciti a fine pasto praticamente.

It's fine for a quick lunch; the menu selection is good, and the €11 fixed menu is a nice idea. However, I had to wait a bit both to be seated and to receive my dishes. The staff wasn't particularly friendly, and the pasta was overcooked. I should point out that it was the local workers' break, so it's acceptable within limits. There's no problem with the other dishes, so it's fine if you want to stop by.

Mi trovo a varazze per lavoro con un collega, chiamo il bistrot per prenotare ma quando arriviamo il nostro tavolo non c'è, ci fanno aspettare 30 minuti. Finalmente ci sediamo, ma nessuno viene a prenderci l' ordinazione, dopo circa 15/20 minuti vado dalla cameriera a chiedere, con educazione, se potevamo ordinare, lei , gentilmente, ci accontenta. Scegliamo di prendere solo un secondo nonostante il menù fisso comprendesse anche il primo. Ci portano una porzione misera, ma dobbiamo aspettare altri 10 minuti circa per avere posate, pane e condimenti. Alla fine una cameriera si scusa per le varie attese e ci consiglia di prenotare la prossima volta... É sembrata una presa in giro visto che effettivamente avevo prenotato. Comunque abbiamo mangiato bene, però è stato veramente un parto. Prossima volta vado a celle dalla stazione, ci metto sicuramente meno tampo ad andare, mangiare e tornare a varazze. NON LASCIO MAI RECENSIONI COSÌ NEGATIVE, avendo lavorato nei ristoranti capisco le difficoltà, ma questi hanno esagerato propio.
