The food is always great especially any of the menu options with the brisket. It’s my favorite! You also have to try the devil’s water- any of the spicy margaritas are so great. (My mother-in-law travels all the way from Belfast to drink them! 😂) Paola is especially great and always remembers my kiddos when we visit. Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere!
Elizabeth was awesome! Food was fast and so good. I’ve been going here for years and haven’t had anything that I didn’t like. Devil’s Marg w/ Tajin rim is excellent.
Started the new year off right! We called first to see if the restaurant was open and Elizabeth - later to be our server, answered and invited us to come in. We ordered the Mezcal Blood Orange margarita and it was perfection- a smoky, tart wonder and next Elizabeth brought out the trio - guac, cheese dip and a green and red salsa - with a warm basket of chips. Both salsas were delicious and paired great with the cheese dip - real and thick - not watered down - excellent. Our entrees - we roll vegetarian were the Chili Relleno and vegetarian enchiladas. In both cases the vegetables were well cooked - not raw or mushy - beautifully set off by the cheese and red sauces. Throughout it all - Elizabeth who was tending bar, answering calls and waiting on several tables never missed a beat. Though busy she made out already great experience with the food even better. Cap it off with the cute poems in the bathrooms about keeping them clean (in Spanish) - no worries Santa Maria - todos limpios!!
Quite literally everything that we ordered was spectacular. The chips were crispy and delicious and absolutely perfect. The tacos were texturally wonderful and the flavors paired perfectly. The Mole specials were some of the best mole I have ever had. I would take home a gallon of this salsa verde if I could! 10/10 will be back!
Delicious food! The brisket enchiladas were filling. The Carne Asada was so tender. Make sure to ask for spicy sauce if you desire it… Because I recognize not everyone has the palette to handle overly seasoned food. Plenty of vegetarian options. They specialize in Mezcal cocktails that were so yummy. For the holiday, they had delicious coconut Coquito. It was a perfect 70° night so we sat outside and kept the vibes going all night. Definitely an awesome spot to bring the family, have a date, or catch up with friends at the bar. Elizabeth and , our server was so knowledgeable and kind, as well as the teenagers bussing tables. Will definitely be back soon.
My sister and I visited Mezcalito's for dinner last night. When we entered, we were hit by the warm glow of Christmas decorations and Mexican culture. The staff were all wearing Christmas sweaters, which matched our own on this festive night. We were greeted by our server Monse, who was the epitome of the Christmas spirit with her welcoming smile and kindness. Monse was more than willing to accommodate to mine and my sister's vegetarian and vegan lifestyles (respectively), and the food was delicious. The drinks were strong and yummy as well. If asked to rate the food and drinks from one to ten, I would not say 6-7. I would say 10. And if asked to rate Monse's service, I would say 11.
We had a 25 min wait for a party of 4 on a very busy Friday night- definitely very family oriented, quant setting. We enjoyed our food! It was very authentic with quality ingredients. I tried the ginger drink and it was incredibly fresh, strong ginger beer that I loved! Thanks Elizabeth for being such a wonderful server
Wow! This service was fe-nom-inal. Monse was so helpful and accommodating. One of the best service experiences I have ever had. She personally recommended the tofu tacos with avocado sauce. Even though there were no vegan items on the menu she made me feel so welcome here and her recommendations were delicious. Thank you Monse!! I will be returning!!in 6 to 7 days…
My family and I stopped here for dinner before heading to the botanical gardens. We sat on the enclosed patio so we would have enough space. (We are a large family) We were greeted and served by Ms. Elizabeth. She was so friendly and polite ensuring that our experience was enjoyable. The food was great and there was plenty to take home with us. Our drinks were delicious and not overly strong. Elizabeth took her time to get to know us not just simply “wait” on us. If you decide to give this place a try, make sure you ask for her. I promise, you won’t be disappointed.

Food, drinks, and service (thanks Elizabeth!) are all phenomenal. We are considering moving to Oakhurst and getting a feel for the area, and we couldn’t be more impressed. Can’t wait to come back!
Elizabeth was our server for an early dinner and the service was fast and helpful. She immediately let us know of the special and she gave her opinion on which margarita to get. I chose the tofu tacos with no jalapeño sauce. As a vegan traveling to ATL for a short time, this restaurant was exactly what I was looking for. The margaritas were fresh made in house amd so good. My parents has the chicken tostadas and the grilled fish tacos. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere felt authentic. Definitely will recommend to my local friends!
This is a cute little place that we decided to try out and we are glad we did!! Paola, our server, was amazing! She was friendly and gave some great recommendations! The food was delicious and we loved the ambiance!! Highly recommend trying it out!!
I’m a contractor working in the area. I came in randomly and received prompt and professional service with courtesy to match. The food was done quickly and delivered in the same manner. Elizabeth was my server and all credit goes to her on why I will return!
My fiancé and I were strolling the neighborhood and decided to grab food from Mezcalito’s….it looked very inviting and once we walked in Elizabeth greeted us and told us to sit anywhere. We went straight for the main course and got the chicken enchiladas and fried chicken mole. If you are a mole lover like me, you have to try it! It has a good depth of flavor and just the right amount of heat on the back end. I tried the black beans that came with my fiancés dish and had to order my own! They were truly a highlight! My fiancé and I cleared our plates! The price points are budget friendly and worth every penny. We will be back!
My go-to spot for Mexican food! Excellent service and good quality food. The staff is super friendly and the dog-friendly patio is a great place to hang out on a nice day. I recommend the brisket enchiladas and spicy (Devil’s water) margarita.
Mezcalito's Cantina is an excellent Mexican restaurant with a good variety of authentic Mexican options. The queso is fantastic and difficult to stop eating with chips. The veggie enchiladas were delicious and surprisingly quite filling. I would try to veggie chile rellino next time. It was crowded in a Friday night, but the wait was not long especially with outdoor seating available.
Devil margarita was one of the best spicy margs I've had. Chicken tamale was on point. Highly recommend. Elisabeth was a great host and bartender, will definitely be back soon.
Every time I come to this restaurant it's always a vibe!! The atmosphere is very calming with the music and low lights. The drinks never taste weak and the flavors are always mixed well. The food is never too heavy and always comes out hot. The staff is friendly and they never forget a face. On my visit today we were served by Eliza and she was AMAZING. She always takes care of us when we come. This place is ALWAYS a 10/10.
Very nice neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Cool atmosphere and outstanding Mexican dishes. The Chicken tostadas were cooked to perfection and the Taquitos Dorados were outstanding with hints of lime throughout. Jamaica (lavender?) ice tea was a treat.

The cantina is small shop with adjacent outdoor seating. The shop is filled with all memorabilia from Mexico and other countries. Music is loud enough to carry our conversations. Seating is cozy and limited. Service is great. The drinks are unique and strong. The food is a hit and miss. The Yuka fries and sauce are very few for a side. The fries are cripsy and tasty. The sauce is a nice compliment The veggie torda is adequate and super tasty. Th chips and the 4 sauces(?) Is a good deal. The chips are crispy and tasty. The gauc is fresh, the salsas are fresh, tasty and unique. The cheese is tasty. The tacos are a miss- the fish tacos are ok. The chicken taco is raw with bland chicken .The tofu taco is different but nothing to boast about. Some of the tacos are topped with raw red onions, which are pungent and raw.
