Just arrived from NYC specially to eat at Hosteria Del Capel Rosso, We didn't have reservations, the restaurant was full but the host offered us a table just for 1.1/2 hours. let me tell you the 90 minutes food and wine experience was worth it highly recommended. next time I'm definitely making sure I have reservations.

Watson and I are in Vercelli this week at the Capel Rosso restaurant. It's a small, welcoming, and well-maintained restaurant at the beginning of Corso Libertà (or rather, on the first street on the right). The staff, a young woman of Portuguese origin, greets us with a smile and great kindness. The cuisine is traditional Piedmontese with modernized presentations, so the tartare becomes three raw meatballs with three different sauces. The Panissa Vercellese is traditional, but a bit lighter on fat, while the duck (for me) and the ribs for Watson are plated in a modern fashion. With water and coffee, plus a bottle of 2017 Bramaterra Gaggiano, we spend €75 each. If you like traditional cuisine and clean, welcoming, casual dining options, this is the place for you.

Wonderful dinner. The place is very intimate and welcoming; there are only a few seats, so reservations are recommended. The menu has a few options, some typical Piedmontese and local, like panissa, and others more sophisticated, but they all looked delicious. We ordered two appetizers, three first courses, desserts, and a bottle of wine. Everything was truly delicious and beautifully presented. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The bathroom was clean.

Hidden in a side street this restaurant is a gem! The food is delicious and surprising. We were a big party and all the courses were perfect. Nice location and kind table waiting. Wine selection is upscale. The only comment might be that the town is extremely humid during summer and this restaurant does have A/C but they don't turn it on. During summer the stay might be uncomfortable. Recommended

Found by chance looking for a restaurant between Milan and Turin open on a Monday evening, this is a hidden gem. One of the best vitello tonnato ever, excellent risotti, great desserts. Will return!

Unfamiliar with the area, we searched online and found Hosteria del Capel Rosso at the first recommended location. We arrived and were greeted immediately. They had warned us that we'd be slightly late since we hadn't booked, but we were actually served right away with a welcome glass of prosecco. We ordered a truly excellent Piedmontese appetizer, using quality ingredients. Like the first courses, the plates were hearty and delicious! To finish, an excellent dessert. I recommend this very centrally located restaurant for its quality and the kindness of the well-trained staff. Thank you for the experience! Excellent value!

Even though the restaurant is located on a side street at the end of Corso Libertà, I really liked it. The staff was kind and attentive. I went on Bagna Cauda Day. The service was more than average. Perhaps I would have expected a little more, but these days you can't expect more just to keep costs down. I recommend it to everyone who wants to try the cuisine and other traditional dishes.

We ate quite well, though it's a shame the heating wasn't adequate; eating in the cold isn't welcoming. The girl serving was, I must say, truly inadequate; she seemed to be doing us a favor. In the end, the bill was split between three people, without even a breakdown of the amount consumed. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't recommend it.
