We arrived very late on a Monday, but the owner welcomed us with kindness and warmth! Lovely, rustic place, warm and welcoming. Excellent meat, great music. We'll be back! Le cavallerizze
Great place, serious nice food and perfect hospitality
Very lovely staff and atmosphere. The meat is tremendous! All other foods are very good too! The seating area is shielded off from the environment by a non-see-through wooden fence. The area is nice. It will get wet tho when it rains.
We stumbled upon it by chance and couldn't have been more pleased. Excellent food (mixed antipasto, fried mushrooms, and salad), a very pleasant and cool atmosphere, despite the 34°C heat, thanks to the shade nets strung between the magnificent trees outside. Truly memorable and highly recommended.
Updated September 2023. The mushroom season begins, with a wide variety of dishes and Castelmagno cheese, strictly from mountain pastures. So, my recommendation goes to the first courses: Braja ravioli with Castelmagno, truffle, or Parmesan reduction (in addition to the timeless tagliatelle with wild boar), followed by fried mushrooms as a main course or as a side dish to meats (such as tagliata), and tiramisu to finish. I've been coming back for a long time for the quality of the dishes, the courtesy of the staff, and the fair prices. I tried this trattoria somewhat by chance, but also following some good advice. Don't be fooled by the somewhat rustic entrance courtyard; once you walk through the small door, you'll find yourself in a clean, tidy, and welcoming place. The open kitchen holds no secrets and is a real highlight. The kindness of the manager, who lists the menu (available both inside and outside), the strictly local ingredients, and the variety of ingredients mean you'll return time and time again, always experiencing the welcoming atmosphere and home-cooked cuisine typical of country trattorias. The mixed antipasti, the grilled rib steak (and grilled steaks in general), the hand-cut tartare, and the homemade first courses are all definitely worth trying. Prices are absolutely reasonable and adequate for the amount you pay. The staff are friendly but attentive to their needs. Parking is available on-site. Reservations are recommended if there are many guests. Highly recommended for a weekday lunch or for a family meal in the tranquility of the hills. I return every time I'm in the Cairo Montenotte area.
Recommended! Great food, good wine, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. I'll go back myself when I have the chance!
Super!!!
Excellent food in farmer's environment. Very nice staff.
Super!
Sono stata ieri sera con il mio compagno. Andiamo a trovare Fabio e lo staff sempre volentieri!! È come stare in famiglia.... Ottima cena. Vorrei fare i complimenti per l' Ottima guancia cbt.... Vera…
Ci siamo finiti per caso, da quelle parti, leggendo le recensioni di TripAdvisor. Il luogo è lontano dal centro, in campagna e per arrivarci a causa di un dissesto della strada fa un po' impressione…
The outdoor area has a Christmassy atmosphere, while the interior is rustic and unique, with a cozy, homey feel. The dishes available are limited but good, and the prices are in line with other restaurants.
A simple, rustic restaurant with unique home cooking. The menu offers about five dishes to choose from, including appetizers, first courses, and meat. The house mixed antipasto was plentiful and delicious. For our first course, we opted for the tagliatelle with a delicious mushroom sauce, and for our second course, sausage with French fries. The desserts were excellent, including the panna cotta and the Sacher torte with truly unique chinotto jam. We'll be back.
A location nestled in the Val Bormida countryside, located in the Ville district. As soon as we arrived, we were surprised by the beautiful, tastefully decorated Christmas-themed restaurant. There's a well-kept and pleasant entrance courtyard with firewood. Once inside, we also noticed a very cute and pleasant space, tastefully furnished. The wood-burning stove was beautiful and gave off a wonderful warmth! The menu isn't very varied, but in a place like this, I can understand that. We had amazing mixed appetizers. The ravioli were also very good, especially the ones with Castelmagno cheese. The only downside was the meat: both the battuta al taglio (stuffed steak), the tagliata (sliced steak), and even the sirloin were very tough and stringy, difficult to eat. The salad and fries were good, but the main course wasn't up to par. Finally, the desserts were delicious. The service was pleasant, and the owner joked with our dogs all evening in a friendly manner. Finally, the bill was perhaps a little higher than expected. We'll probably return, but only for appetizers and first courses, not the meat!
The outdoor location, under the pergola, is well worth a visit: it's the best in summer. Inside, it loses some of its "magic," but it's still good. We were there in early August: we had a portion of fried mushrooms, a platter, a slice of sliced meat with vegetables, a sausage with chips, a cake with chocolate and whipped cream (or Chantilly cream, I don't remember), water, beer, and a cover charge. Total €80. Prices are perhaps a bit high. The staff were friendly and helpful.
We were curious to visit this quaint place. We then ate on the veranda, where there was still some space available; it was rustic but pleasant. After a round of typical appetizers, we tried various first and second courses, all delicious and made with quality ingredients, and also excellent value for money. I enjoyed it, and the portions were generous. I'll definitely be back when I have the chance.
Costo troppo alto , apparte questo c erano opzioni sia per i celiaci che per i vegetariani,il cibo era tutto ottimo tranne per la carne leggermente cruda .Potrei tornarci se i prezzi fossero più bassi
Restaurant with inside several rooms and outside a big terrace. The menu consists of typical Italian food, the antipasti, primi, secondi and dolci. No pizza’s. The atmosphere inside was reasonable. We, with a group of 4 persons, had the bad luck that after ten minutes several families with loud children entered our room. After ten minutes we asked the owner to remove us to another room, which was allowed. The food was good. Overall to our opinion not a good price to quality ratio.
