As we sat down to dinner here last night, a storm ripped through Genova and an exceptionally loud thunder crack made everyone jump. We were glad to be inside and we were well looked after. Lovely wine and pasta, great tiramisu and excellent coffee. Great value. Our feeble attempts at speaking Italian were met with grace and warmth and we will remember the experience.
Lovely little pizzaria in a busy area of Genova. We stopped in on our first night in the city after the restaurant we were trying to find was closed down. How lucky we were! The staff are delightful, giving the place a warm and friendly atmosphere. It felt so welcoming! There was a vast choice of pizzas and we had a range, from white sauce four cheese to a parma ham option and one made with local pesto. All were delicious. There's a full bar for drinks options and lovely desserts including a range of different tiramisu - we had traditional and pistachio. Really recommend this place. Not many seats inside but worth the effort - or they do takeaway too!
It was a lovely place with great pizza. I had pesto pizza and my family had other types. They are homemade and are delicious. They are all different and are very nice. I also had a dessert of a tiramisu which was delicious and my family had a pistachio tiramisu which looked very nice. I would recommend if you want a delicious pizza.
this place is owned by the SWEETEST woman! i was originally looking for gelato, and had JUST finished eating a pesto lasagna not 15 minutes before, but she was so kind and inviting that i had to come in and eat another one! the food was hearty, fresh and delicious! the service is what really won me over here though! this place has the sweetest people ever!
Reasonably priced pizzas, pastas and Italian dishes within walking distance of the Best Western Metropoli. During our stay, we enjoyed their pizza, gnocchi, lasagna and beer selections. Their hours are quirky so one should check their Facebook page to see the posted, hours of operation. We gladly waited till 7pm to eat their pizza. It is a small neighborhood eating spot. Our waitress spoke English which was a plus. Everyone sits pretty close together so, if you don't mind, then this is a great dining option when visiting Genoa.
Small pizza restaurant in a lively part of Genoa. We were on our way to Via Garbaldi and decided to stop in for lunch. The pizza was delicious and the owner was incredibly friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the Fresca pizza! The crust was very thin and the tomato sauce very flavorful. My tablemates tried the Margherita and Americana which they devoured as well. Margherita is similar to a cheese pizza in the states though, so if you’re looking for the states version, try the Bufala or Fresca.
Great place to sample authentic Genova Pizza. Pizza was fresh and had great toppings, reasonably priced. Ultra thin crust pizza. Water a good price too. The hostess / waitress was very friendly and helpful despite the language gap. Highly recomended for cruise ship visitors with limited experience in Italian. Good toilet facilities (unlike most of Italy.)

Great find on a rainy day. We had a lovely salad and pizza and pazerotto and all the food was fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend a visit.

I've been coming here for years and the pizza is always consistently good. The ingredients are fresh, friendly staff and close to Piazza di Ferrari.
I went with my friend who is visiting from the US. Great pizza! It was huge. I could only eat half and had the rest for lunch the next day. It's my go-to pizzeria. Friendly service good prices.

It was buzzing when we entered. Delicious pizza but be very careful with Rosana. She has the gift of the gab. We ended up paying 49.86 euros for 2 pizzas, 2 beer, 2 espresso and a a limonicello. Rosana was so sweet, it was hard to to say no. Jut order the 1st 2! Would highly recommend.
Great pizzas, limited atmosphere when we visited but good food and very reasonable given the location. Great choice of pizzas and the English language menu was a bonus
A place where foreigners are not served in order, in a row. We waited more than an hour for the pizza, other Italian customers being honored before us. I had the worst Margherita pizza I ever ate in Italy: very thin crust like a pancake, smeared with only a little ketchup, and the mozzarella was missing. Note 1 for the patron lady who served the customers. He offered us a table right next to the entrance to the toilet, although there were two other free tables. I do not recommend this place.
This is my first review as a 60+ year old female Genoa resident. I give a 1 star review because the proprietor plays certain games with ordering that might be morally ambiguous if the goal is to max…
Extremely poor attitude from the owner. She was visibly annoyed and made rude comments because two of us shared a pizza and some didn't order alcohol. The service felt very unwelcoming. The pizza itself is nothing special—the dough is dry and hasn't risen properly, so we ended up leaving the crusts. I’d recommend going elsewhere for better food and a friendlier atmosphere.
Would liked to have had a solid option when attending one of the many Theatro Carlo Felice events we go to - but unfortunately this was not the place. The food is rather tepid - barely warm and the service seems designed to have one order more than one beer when you clearly wanted just one. The quick assumption that one would want tiramisu is also a bit off putting (admittedly I really don’t like that Italian classic - but never mind). It doesn’t help that you do have a fair bit of tourist traffic from the Best Western on the corner … but as Genova is also attractive to foreign residents, a bit more care in delivering a pleasant dining experience would have been appreciated. There is so much competition in this particular district - I doubt we’ll be back. The bathroom is a 4.5 however so keep that in mind.
APPALLING Service – Avoid at All Costs! We left this restaurant without eating due to absolutely appalling service. We were a family of three, and we ordered two pizzas and three drinks. This apparently enraged an old woman, likely the owner, who launched into a furious, loud tirade about our order size. She shamed us for not ordering enough food by her arbitrary standards, completely ignoring our three drinks. The atmosphere became so hostile and disrespectful that we were forced to leave immediately. Do not waste your time or money here. Go somewhere that actually treats customers with respect. A truly awful experience.
I hate that my very first G Maps review is a negative one, but here we are. Calling these things “pizza” feels like a stretch. After road-tripping through half of Italy tasting the legit stuff, this slice just doesn’t cut it. It’s basically a big, flat vinyl record with sauce that’s more traffic-cone orange than red, and mozzarella so pale it almost blends right in. Flavor? Forget about it. Hard pass.
