One of the best lunches I have ever had. We were a group of 9 from Denmark that visited here after reading an article about this restaurant in a local Danish newspaper. Even though they were busy they made a table available for us in about 10 minutes. We didn’t look at the menu - the waitress suggested a local menu consisting of local ham, cheese, bread pasta and wine. All of the highest quality and locally sourced. Absolute delightful place, enthusiastic waitresses and fabulous tasting food. A wonderful afternoon experience here. Highly recommended.

This is Italian Cafe. The food here was great especially the pasta. Not that expensive a place. Lots of Italians seemed to come here for their lunch break and in that way you get a really authentic feel and experience. As foreigners I felt like we were treated with a little less attention than the locals and fair enough if they want to keep the place primarily for them. The menu is also only in Italian and hand written. They serve cola, a lager beer and some different wines. Great food. It would have been a five with a little more love.

Well... Inside the restaurant the service was good. But we waited for an hour, although we made a reservation. You can ask why to wait, but every few minutes it was "just a few more minutes...". Apparently, the people who came before us were late. And they took their time, like good Italians, with a slow coffee, and nice chit chatting, while we waited in the cold . The menu is short, only 3 main dishes, 4 first dishes. The food was great, I really enjoyed it. The pasta was amazing. The beef was good although a bit over cooked for Medium. If only they were more assertive to solve the long wait, it could have been a great experience.

We came across this little restaurant while walking through Bergamo and were warmly welcomed. The waitress spoke good English and explained the menu, we both decided to have smaller portions of 1st and 2nd plates. The food was ok but we weren't expecting the pasta and main course to come on the same plate! It would have suited us better to have the courses served separately as we don't eat that quickly and it all went cold together. But it is a nice friendly place and the house wine was great. EDIT: I'm sorry you don't like the review which is an honest representation of our experience. To us it seemed very strange to serve pasta, main course and side dish on one plate as it violates the integrity of the flavours. Actually it feels like feeding an animal from a trough so that it eats to live and not for pleasure, but if that is how you choose to serve your food then that is up to you and I'm sorry that we didn't understand that it would come like this. I will also say that if you serve food that is better than mediocre then perhaps you could get away with anything 😉

Honestly I was very disappointed. I found this place before I got to Bergamo. Had it saved because I saw someone suggesting it on Instagram. Then went there specifically for the regional stuffed pasta, which the waiter said they didn’t have it for lunch, only dinner. The I asked what he would suggest and I got another tasteless pasta and old bread. I’ve been around many cities in Italy and I’m always super excited about the food. This was my very first time in a restaurant where I left disappointed. Wouldn’t come back again. Edit: I asked for the pasta before even considering the menu. Anyway, might have been a miscommunication

I went to the few nights ago and we ordered beef steak and we told them that the beef has a strange taste and they said that the beef was good and they can’t compare our taste to their taste and even though three of us tasted it and we all said that the taste it’s not normal they said that we still have to pay for the beef and we said that we don’t agree to pay for something we didn’t eat started shouting in the middle of the street and by the end they just slammed the bill on the table. There was a waiter with curly hair who was very mean and disrespectful. The risotto was very good, water is tap water with filter. there is no music inside the restaurant or outside the restaurant it’s more of a silent restaurant

Came hungry as can be after delayed train and were happy to try that 4.8 rated restaurant. Rarely been so disappointed, well maybe because it was lunch and got unlucky, but none of the choices on the menu were appetizing, so for the first time I chose the burger, and my wife the chicken. Rarely had anything so untasty and trust me I have been living in germany for few years now. I mean, it is cheap : 11 euros for one menu (main course, side, water and coffee). But I didnt expect to get a poor steak with a slice of cheese and ketchup on a lettuce, with old and untasty bread, I dont know, even the mensa of my german uni had more to offer.. Service was ok and thank god it was not more expensive, we already were so disappointed wasting a meal in this city that has a lot to offer..
