I grew up between Madrid and Jaraíz de la Vera. The entire La Vera region is the area in Spain with the most kilometers of freshwater coastline. A privilege, and we must take care of it. So don't litter. 🇪🇦✝️😊

Prepared natural pool. It has a larger covered area and areas for the little ones. Water shoes are recommended, but not necessary. The water is cool. We went during the week and it wasn't very crowded. There's a bar where you can eat. Good parking.

The lake is a swimming pool next to Jaraiz de la Vera. It has a walking area next to the gorge, stone tables (not many) where you can have lunch or a snack, a good parking lot, and a restaurant that grills food. It smells wonderful and has great views. At the time of year, the temperature was ideal and there were few people, and the trees were already taking on their typical autumnal tones. It's beautiful, although a bit neglected in some areas, hence the 4 stars.

A truly beautiful place surrounded by nature. In summer, they close the sluice gates and it becomes a gorgeous natural pool. It's such a treat to be able to stroll there, listening to the birds singing and the sound of the water. 😍

Large natural pool, although it gets very crowded and the seating area can be packed on weekends. While generally well-maintained, there's a lot of dust in the sandy area. A good time to go is in the morning or late afternoon if you want to enjoy the lake alone.
