WOW, WOW, WOW. Totally unexpected gem on the outskirts of Cartaxo. This must rank as one of the best local restaurants in the area for sure and is now on my favourites list. An incredibly discrete facade hiding a wonderful courtyard and truly stunning restaurant with Japanese inspired menu. The Cha Gio was incredible and the Jagakara aka Japanese patatas bravas were fabulous. We also really enjoyed the Oshizushi and followed up with the pistachio 'Gomazakuro'. I can't wait to return for a tour and wine tasting. Alfonso who served us throughout, also deserves a shout out for his command of English and patience in explaining everything. Many thanks. I highly recommend this place for the food, service, wine and prices

Mooi domein met fantastisch restaurant. Echt lekker gegeten met sublieme wijnen. Zeer verassend maar nagenoeg perfect. Het domein is nog aan het ontwikkelen maar is spectaculair. Zeker aan te raden. We gaan er zeker terug.

From start to finish, this was an amazing experience. The place is absolutely stunning, and we took a guided tour of the winery, where we learnt about the wine-making process and Ode’s various offerings. Henry was incredibly attentive and open to answering all our questions. Following the tour, we enjoyed an incredible wine tasting. To top it all off, the dinner was the cherry on top – the food was among the best I’ve ever had in Lisbon. I highly recommend this place! 🌟

One of the best experiences I’ve had in Lisbon. The place is so beautiful and peaceful, the winery is amazing and the bunker is just out of a movie. Wine is interesting and the staff is well prepared to answer any questions. Food doesn’t stay behind, an amazing curated menu. Can’t wait to come back.

We started with a tour of the winery with Jim, the owner. Then we tasted their 5 current offerings (4 whites, all notable and one Touriga nacional which was also very good). This is a new wine program in a historic building. More reds will come on this year and next. Lunch was really special. A Japanese inspired menu consisting of small plates that are well paired with their wines. We’ll be back.

In a typical Ribatejo village, you find this absolutely unique and extraordinarily beautiful winery behind a discrete facade with a world to discover, incl. a Japanese fusion restaurant, a large yard with frequent events, and the most stunning endless maze of wine cellars in a minimalistic architecture in several underground levels.

The highlight is the massive cellar, where you walk among rows of old oak barrels - a powerful, atmospheric space that makes you truly feel connected to the winemaking process. It’s modern yet deeply rooted in tradition, and incredibly well designed. The wines are outstanding - elegant, expressive, and clearly made with care and intention. Each one tells part of the winery’s story. The restaurant is a real surprise: a refined and creative Asian fusion kitchen that works beautifully with the wines. The flavors are bold yet balanced, and the overall dining experience feels curated and special. What truly sets Ode Winery apart is the people. The staff treat you like friends, not guests. A special thank you to Helena, who remembered us from our first visit and welcomed us back so warmly. That personal touch made the experience even more meaningful - both for us and for the friends we brought along. This is not just a winery visit - it’s a complete, thoughtful, and memorable experience. One we’ll happily repeat again 🍷
