I haven’t had Filipino food in ages and was craving some comfort food and HiFi Kitchen delivered. The vibes are immaculate there and the chicken adobo and lumpia I ordered were absolutely amazing. I look forward to going back there again to try a different dish.

HiFi kitchen is a hidden gem on a main road in the heart of Filipinotown in Los Angeles. I say it’s a hidden gem only because it feels like a place that is just about to pop off. It’s got all the panache you’d expect from a hip local restaurant and the food to keep people coming back. There’s something here for everyone, which is amazing since Filipino food is typically pretty meat heavy. The folks who work here are incredibly nice and our food came right away. Everything was super fresh and tasty and between two entrees and an app (the veg lumpia are to die for) it was more than enough food for two people. I would say prices are incredibly fair given just how good the food is. Overall I absolutely recommend, thanks HiFi Kitchen!

We had such a great experience at HiFi With Em! Em recommended the best food options and she did NOT miss. The pork belly bowl with the egg was delicious, super flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sides were fresh, and even the dessert and mango sparkling water hit the spot. Everything was tasty, good portions, great vibes, and amazing service. Definitely coming back! 🙌🍽️✨

We were looking for a great Filipino spot and this spot popped up on Google. An excellent Filipino spot with mainly bowls. I ordered their Lugaw with pork bits and the chicken adobo with garlic rice. The soup was nice, hot and seasoned perfectly. It tasted just like how my mom made it. The adobo was nice and tangy with just the right amount of sour/sweet. Paired with the garlic rice, it made for an excellent lunch and I highly recommend it. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items. Definitely provides excellent Filipino food! ***update*** I had their “Ubeng Ube” coffee drink cold with whole milk and it was delicious excellent. Next time I’ll try it hot. I also had their popcorn chicken and beef tapa. Both were amazing and flavorful. I should have upgraded with the garlic rice but they were both very delicious. Lunch was served perfectly! Their breakfast sandwich was also phenomenal!

This place has such a cool atmosphere, I highly recommend for an authentic Filipino Angeleno experience. I really appreciated the smiling and friendly staff, and my menu questions were answered so sweetly. I had the Talib Kawali crispy pork bowl with an Asian fusion chimichurri, and the sear and texture on the pork was very impressive. I’m a big fan of Talib Kweli the rapper, so this dish gets extra points for lending even more hip hop branding to the mix. There’s also a HiFi record player that spins the payment tablet toward you when you pay at the counter, nice touch! I’m an Asian American creative, so I really appreciated all the thoughtful nods of culture and music in the menu and design.

Driving around the Historic Filipinotown we found this restaurant. We order the following dishes: *Tocino Pastor bowl - added the fried egg on top. Delicious! *Talib Kawali - the Chimichurri sauce adds a touch of freshness to the pork! *Lumpia - the veg. ones are crunchy and creamy, with the vinegar sauce has a great balance! We also ordered the pork lumpia with the sweet sauce. I liked the veggies ones better. * Cantaloupe Agua Frescas - very refreshing, I loved the shave cantaloupe added in the drink * Pandan Horchata - very sweet and cinnamonny! Great “dessert” drink.

Hifi Kitchen is a gem in Historic Filipinotown! I ordered the La'ing with crispy pork, and it exceeded my expectations. The pork was amazingly crispy and juicy, and the coconut sauce was rich and flavorful. The combination was just perfect. Highly recommend!

it seems like It's been some time since I've given a 5 star review but this place is very deserving. Service was excellent, patient young lady helped me pick my meal, very kind. The food I must say was very flavorful and tasted great. Cooked / prepared extremely well. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered the medium spicy versions of their vegan entrees: mushrooms adobo and kaldereta both served with steamed rice. Flavors were on point and did not disappoint. Price point is reasonable. Decor brought me back to the 90's. Great option for the meat and plant-based eaters in your life.

Several vegetarian/vegan options and all very affordable! The breakfast sandwich with furikake was perfect, as was the veg la'ing and the melon agua fresca. Cute place with friendly and helpful staff, and lots of cute merch for sale.

Small little restaurant! Friendly Customer service.. you Must order Online, they do have QR codes.. or simply go to their website.. meals take about 15min give or take. I tried the. Talib Kawali (gf) which consists of (crispy marinated pork belly, with housemade cucumber salad, atsara, cilantro chimichurri) with a Sunny Egg and Garlic Rice I have to say, it's absolutely OUTSTANDING! The rice was soft and with flavor.. the Pork had that crispy in the outside, soft in the inside texture. Very satisfying meal.. I would say they do need a homemade hot sauce.. but you can get Sriracha and chili oil on the side Price is in the $10-$15 range.. I'd say the Talib Kawali was super worth it . Highly recommend.

Really tasty and well made. Asian seltzers are a great touch. Loved the Tucino bowls, the tacos meats were perfect, may have benefited from some salsa type situation, but had Mae ploy from the lumpia, also good. Dug the fun decor

Recently had the pleasure of having some sisig from HiFi and it was delicious! I had it with the garlic rice and it was absolutely delicious. The rice was perfectly seasoned and the sisig was cut perfectly.

Great little joint in my favorite area of Los Angeles, Historic Filipinotown. Right across from the Boba Guys and Unidad Park, be sure to stop by this kitchen for some inspired Filipino food. Aesthetically, you won’t find anything else like it. You will find the wall art and the art-installation behind the counter reminiscent of 90s hiphop. While the storefront is small —with a bar for seating— you won’t regret taking your food for takeout and eating it at the mural across the street. However, this is not just your mom or Auntie’s Filipino food. It’s Filipino’s food with a twist. A lot of the items here are in a silog style —meaning a rice bowl with a main dish. What’s cool is that the food interpretation feels like a Filipino American rendition of authentic meals. The dishes are aesthetic and healthier with modern garnishing, while still being distinctly Filipino and true to its roots. I ordered the Laing with cauliflower and the lechon kawali. While I’m not usually a fan of the taro leaves in coconut of laing, the bite from the roasted cauliflower gives it enough substance to complement the side of rice. Also, the lechon is perfect —a crisp bite of pork skin and a soft meaty center. Don’t forget to try their deserts too. The ube custard is a perfect creaminess to top off your meal.

On our last day in LA we decided to visit Filipinotown to have some Filipino food and we stumbled upon HiFi and boy do we not regret coming by. Food was simply incredible, the flavor was perfect and hands down best Filipino food we’ve tried. Don’t think twice and come in and have some great food!! You need to order their Pandan Horchata drink, soo good!

Having lived in Manila years ago, I was craving the tastes I remembered, and this spot delivered. The servers were friendly and excited to hear about my connection to the cuisine. The lechon kawali was crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth inside, and the halo-halo brought back summer memories. The ambiance mixed casual dining with cultural pride, making me nostalgic and happy.

Filipino food isn’t something I eat a lot of, so don’t have much of a benchmark. The food came out hot, but was a bit on the bland side, and I’m figuring that’s not what all Filipino food is like. The girl at the counter was friendly; however, when I went back to order some extra to go, she was hiding in back, and the other guy up front basically ignored me for 10 minutes while he chatted with his friends. There was one family that had pushed all the tables together for themselves, so I ended up jamming myself onto a barstool with a tiny counter. I would’ve eaten outside; however, it wasn’t covered.

Oh man! Best Filipino takeout that I've had in SoCal. Ordered lumpia, chicken adobo, spaghetti, and ube desserts. The adobo was delicious and was as good as my mom's. The spaghetti was insanely good. Got the food delivered to my hotel via the Caviar app. The only reason for 4 stars is that they forgot a soda, which is fine... it happens. Overall, I'll definitely order from this place again.

Really like the food here. Wished the portion size was better. The bowls literally have the thinnest layer of rice at the bottom. A little over priced for what you get. The mini Pork lumpia was so yummy! And u definitely have to try a coffee! Spent over $40 for a bowl, lumpia and 2 drinks.

$10 dollars plus tax for a half filled plate of rice. This is really sad and I will never eat there again.
