Took my 6 bridesmaids here for a night out and we were all obsessed. I got many compliments on the restaurant choice, especially from my vegan and vegetarian friends. The vibe is classy without trying too hard, and the live music made the whole night feel special. It’s the perfect spot for adults who want to relax, catch up, enjoy dinner and drinks. We each got a different cocktail from the menu and evey one was excellent. Highly recommend!
Pearl Moon is an absolute must if you’re in Woodstock! First off, the vibe is amazing—warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. It’s a great spot for live music, with a gorgeous stage and great acoustics. Byron handles the sound and he’s fantastic—super friendly, easy to work with, and really knows how to bring out the best in every band that plays. The restaurant itself is spacious and beautifully redone—perfect for everything from a casual dinner to a weekend brunch or a big celebration. And the food? Incredible. Every dish is full of flavor, beautifully plated, and there are plenty of tasty vegan options too, which my wife and I really appreciate, since we are vegan. We've enjoyed dinner and brunch. Whether you’re there to catch a show, grab a meal with friends, or host a larger gathering, Pearl Moon checks all the boxes. Great people, great food, great music—what more could you ask for?
The food was SO good. My friend and I ordered two meals and split them. We had the roasted duck quesadilla (if you're thinking this is too much. It isn't. I promise you. It was amazing) and the.. some kind of chicken sandwich. Also we added fries. The fries are cut in house and AMAZING. Also I shared in the photos that there is a ramp to the bathroom which is super helpful for handicap access.
First time in Woodstock, and we chose Pearl Moon for our first experience, and it did not disappoint. It is situated on a main road with other great places to choose from that added to a calm and relaxing vibe of families and people strolling up and down the thoroughfare and enjoying the late summer day and views of upper state NY and the Catskills. The building is beautiful, with a huge front patio to dine from and the interior just as spacious. There is a stage for live music and open mic nights for an added bonus for those days scheduled, and I would love to come back and enjoy one. We were greeted warmly and quickly and given several options for seating for our comfort. Every staff member came to say hello and welcome us and ask if we needed anything. Ordered the pan roasted chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and glazed carrots, and it was absolutely delicious - I would have ordered a second one on the spot. Overall, it was a very relaxing and delicious spot for a dinner out i wouldn't hesitate to recommend....
Cozy atmosphere and really great service! We came for some drinks and snacks and it was great. Everyone we interacted with was very nice and attentive. Would like to come back when they have live music!
We have wanted to try this since it opened and finally went on Valentine’s Day. They had a live band and sat just past the bar. The drinks food and service were spot on. I had the Clam chowder and was the best I have ever had. I had the Pappardelle Bolognese and my wife had the pesto chicken sandwich with hand cut fries. For dessert we had the soufflé and carrot cake. From start to finish it was great and will be back to dine outside.
First time in Woodstock and we were looking for a breakfast spot to fuel us for the day and found pearl moon. It a very clean restaurant. The patio seating is ample and with the weather being perfect we sat outside. The bathroom is very clean and well tended. The inside of the restaurant is charming. I had the chicken and waffles both days I went for breakfast. My other friends had the complete breakfast and eggs Benedict and the other had the corn beef hash breakfast and French toast. Everything was DELICIOUS!! I usually order the chicken and waffles because I want to compare. This by far was the best I have ever had! The chicken was seasoned and so tender and juicy and the honey maple butter was perfection! It’s the type of meal you don’t want to take the last bite of because you’ll be sad it’s over! My two friends had rave reviews about both their breakfast choices each day. The first day I had a mimosa. One friend had a Paloma and the other a mock tail made with turmeric, ginger and jalapeño. The following morning I had a mock tail that had a delicious ginger kick and bother my friends had the turmeric mock tail. Then my other friend got the same ginger mock tail I did. She loves ginger so it was right up her alley. It was plenty of food but didn’t make you feel weighed down. The staff was so friendly and attentive both days. We even began recommending breakfast items to the family that sat next to us. Our next trip we would like to try their dinner options, but their breakfast will not disappoint!
Today my sister and I visited Pearl Moon Woodstock for the first time. Everything we ordered was very tasty 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. The atmosphere inside and outside the establishment is great. Inside, the area with tables and the bar area are very cleverly and beautifully divided. There is live music in the evenings. The service staff is wonderful. The toilet is very clean. I will recommend Pearl Moon Woodstock to all my friends and acquaintances. Thank you to the owners and employees of Pearl Moon Woodstock for respecting people.
Favorite place we’ve eaten in the Catskills to date! on some nights they have live music and we were lucky enough to catch it on Wednesday night! The short ribs were DELICIOUS as were the cheesy mashed potatoes and the drinks! I got the Pearl’s Lament. The strawberry shortcake was also perfect!
We stopped here for brunch and ordered the birria Benedict and the pork lion with pork belly. Delicious, well-prepared dishes that did not disappoint. The menu has a variety of options, all made with fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentation. The wait staff is attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout the meal. Their coffee was strong, rich, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a nice meal. They have live music in the evenings. We sat outside but the inside looked cute, like a starry night indoors.
Great food! Went for a shower, it was in a separate area. Polite, helpful and efficient staff. Clean restrooms. A number of specialty drinks including cocktails. I did not have any of those but others did and enjoyed them. They have a full bar and also full espresso menu. The food was delicious and included wings, Ruben sandwiches, A chicken pesto, and a vegan pita as well as a nice garden salad. Everything was delicious (opinions of my own as well as those at my table.)
We recently visited a wonderfully simple and charming spot, and we had a great experience. MIRIAM was not only professional but also super kind and friendly, which made us feel right at home. We shared some salmon eggs Benedict and French toast, and everything was just perfect. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and we’ll definitely be back!
My partner and I stopped in for lunch and it was really good! I had a fried chicken sandwich and they had a simple grilled cheese, but it was all very tasty! Service was good, and we ate outside so we enjoyed a nice breeze and a quiet lunch. There wasn’t a live music when we went, since it was the afternoon on a Thursday, but next time we’re in the area we might stop in! The Main Street is right next to the outdoor eating area so you’ll hear the traffic and an occasional car honk, but it’s not that bad.
Believe me, five stars are not enough to describe how amazing this restaurant is. Sorry about the photos, but I truly recommend it 100 out of 1000. The atmosphere is cozy and pet-friendly, the service is outstanding, and the place is simply beautiful. You must come the food is a true feast for your palate.
Service was quick attentive, and the atmosphere was gorgeous inside. They also have the option of outdoor dining as well with lots of tables and a very large bar. Definitely pleasantly surprised how quick service was considering we went on a packed Saturday afternoon! Although we weren’t there for it seems like they do live music often and even have a stage inside
Pearl Moon is one of those spots that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is laid-back but full of character perfect for a cozy brunch, dinner with friends, or catching some live music. The food is always fresh and flavorful, with a menu that has a little something for everyone. What really makes Pearl Moon stand out, though, is the energy. The staff is welcoming, the crowd is vibrant, and there’s a real sense of community in the space. Whether it’s a weekend show or a casual weekday meal, it always feels like more than just a restaurant it’s an experience. A true Woodstock favorite. We come here with my son whenever we are in town
My friends and I stopped here for brunch while visiting upstate, and wow… this place did NOT disappoint! We walked in without a reservation (they do get packed!) but luckily the wait was only about 15 minutes. Definitely recommend booking ahead if you’re coming on a weekend. Once we sat, we ordered coffees and started exploring the menu. I got the Eggs Benedict with mushroom and spinach — hands down one of the BEST eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. The hashbrowns were crispy perfection, and the mixed greens were fresh and vibrant. I’m genuinely sad I can’t eat this every other day because it was that good 😭💛 We also shared the French toast with mixed berries — fluffy, rich, and the perfect amount of sweetness. One friend ordered the chicken & waffle and loved every bite, and my other friend got the ham omelette with greens and hashbrowns and said it was delicious. The ambience is cozy, warm, and very Woodstock-vibey. Our waiter was super friendly, attentive, and checked on us multiple times. Overall such a great brunch spot — from the service to the plates coming out the kitchen, everything was on point. Whenever I’m in town again, I’m definitely coming back. Highly recommend! 🌙✨🍽️
Food was delicious! Came with some girlfriends and we all ordered different things and everything came out amazing. All of us couldn't stop raving over how good it all was. Came in around brunch time and I ordered the from the specials menu, so I got biscuits and gravy. The biscuits tasted fresh and were perfect with the gravy which came out nice and hot. I can't remember the drinks we ordered but it was the same one and it tasted the same all around. Bartender, Cook, Waitress, Host, everyone was great! They also had live music playing which was nice instead of the radio blasting. I wish I could remember our waitress name, she was on top of it! We noticed she had multiple tables but always had a smile on her face. Would highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be returning soon!
Pearl Moon is a delightful place for great food and live music.Something for everyone is on the menu. The first time we went there we had our food outside and enjoyed the calm peaceful vibes of Woodstock. The most recent time we went as musicians and played for the dinner crowd. The atmosphere was magical and we were treated like royalty. Byron the sound engineer was amazing and knows his craft well. We live in NYC but when we visit Woodstock as we often do, Pearl Moon is our favorite go to place.
Very great experience! Went to visit Woodstock for the day and ended up here for dinner, made a great choice! Got some specials on the menu and was very pleased from the appetizers to the main entire to the dessert! The drinks were also very fresh and tasty. Staff were extremely attentive and music was bumping! If back in town I will definitely be stopping by and so should you!
At Pearl Moon the brunch is an all-around great experience. The atmosphere is friendly from when you are first greeted at the door. The servers and bartender are engaging and cheerful. The music is so well presented, with a professional sound engineer ensuring that it is not too loud and that it complements the vibrant social scene. The food is simply delicious, well presented, and flavorful. A cool venue all-around!
Good food, great drinks, and live music! Worth a stop! They have vegan options as well!
I have been here about 5 times over the last few years and the food has been great everytime. I enjoy the portion sizes, enough to satisfy but not too much where you are taking a bunch of left overs home. Smaller menu so check before you go. Cocktails are good if you drink alcohol and if not their non alcoholic cocktails are great as well. It's a spacious restaurant and there's a stage where live music is held on certain dates. Cozy ambiance, great for a special occasion or a casual dinner date. There is a parking lot next to the restaurant and wheelchair accessible entry. Worth a visit if in the Woodstock area, you are likely to be satisfied with the experience.
Great spot for brunch in Woodstock! I had one of the off menu specials, a tostada eggs Benedict with greens on the side. Amazing! Seasoned well, eggs poached to perfection and overall, very satisfied! The restaurant had a little bit of a date night feel with the dim lighting, but I really didn't mind it for brunch! The staff were great and attentive from start to finish. Not knowing how busy it might be, I made a reservation for 11am to try and beat the weekend rush. I loved that my table was ready before I walked in, made me feel catered to and seen! Would recommend and will return!
This place was delicious! We went for breakfast while visiting the Catskills. Location was decorated beautifully with a stage for live music. Menu had plenty of options for all diet types. Beverages for breakfast were delicious. We had multiple people come up to clean our table or ask if we needed anything. The food was absolutely amazing. I highly suggest this location but be prepared cause by lunch the place was packed.
4 of us went to dinner at Pearl Moon for the first time and it did not disappoint. We expected a down and dirty bar atmosphere. It was, actually, a nice looking restaurant with great food and drinks. Can’t wait to go back again! .
Love this place! Delicious food especially love the french onion soup, the homemade biscuits and the yummy burger, and delicious drinks too! Always love the bands that play on their stage, especially The Hardwoods when they play on Wednesday night. If you're in Woodstock---GO!
This is a really nice and delicious spot in Woodstock. Their upscale pubgrub options were the best. Onion rings and duck quesadilla were really great. The scallops were delicious but a bit saucy for my taste, so I'd say stick to more pub options here. They are spectacular. Really enjoyed the Spicy Luna cocktail the best. They have live music on the weekends too with a stage in the front.
We ordered the duck quesadilla and codfish sandwich. Both were immaculate. So fresh and full of flavor! Loved the live music too.
This is the place if you need a night out! The music and atmosphere is fantastic! The pumpkin pie French toast was unbelievable! We can’t wait to go back again. Great vibes!
Romantic and trendy. Well priced high end menu with delicious food and a wide array of options for every eater. Helpful and friendly wait staff. Delicious and original cocktails.
Spontaneously went for a brunch while heading home from a camp trip and stumbled onto this amazing gem. Very accommodating for children and their menu selection is top tier. You can tell this place is well run on a random Wednesday afternoon. I can only imagine the weekends! My only gripe is that we live too far away to try more things on the menu!
We went for brunch and live jazz music. We ordered the crab cake Benedict and French toast with a side of corned beef hash. The food was delicious! Our server was friendly and attentive, although it got quite busy towards the end as the lunch crowd came in. The dining area is quite large with some outdoor seating as well. I would highly recommend eating here and going when they have live music.
Wow! Beautiful location, extremely clean dining area and bathrooms, nice covid protocols, excellent service, lots of vegan/vegetarian options and delicious food all around. Their biscuits and homemade ranchero hot sauce were especially delicious! Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu!
We absolutely love this place! We were able to eat outdoors on an unseasonably warm Saturday in April… so Woodstock wasn’t packed with the summer folks, but the weather definitely had people thinking about summer. Anyway, I ordered brunch off of the specials menu and enjoyed a delicious serving of crab cake eggs Benedict. My boyfriend went with something from the regular menu, huevos rancheros… we were both entirely pleased with our orders, and we washed our delicious entrees down with a few mimosas… that were far too refreshing on a hot day. We will definitely be returning for a follow up visit!!
Absolutely loved it here! My wife and I took our four children and were sat very quickly despite not having a reservation. The staff were very friendly and got our orders in very quickly. The pearl moon burger and brisket sandwich were fantastic, as well as our children’s kid meals (grilled cheese & burgers). We will definitely be returning!
We ride up there with our motorcycle group every once in a while. They have always been really accommodating. The service is great. The food is amazing.
Best food we have had all year Truly inspired music was perfect for the evening we will definitely be back ! Great job !
Great food at a cute place. Only problem we had, was that the host wouldn't let us sit outside where we wanted since they weren't seating one area and the other side only had a couple of 2 top tables not near each other. They sat our party of 4 inside right next to a large party of 18 young men who hadn't ordered yet and were really loud. We couldn't have a nice quiet supper with our elderly parents. We had to yell to each other to have a conversation. After the large party finished, we could finally relax and ordered dessert after our nicely sized, delicous meals. The server was great too. I just wish we could have enjoyed a quieter early meal with an older couple. This place did not have its own parking area but there was public parking areas available nearby.
Our go-to for simple, fresh, delicious lunch in Woodstock. Every time we’ve been here the food was great, the service was friendly and attentive, and the vibes were chill and calm. Today we had the Reuben, Grilled Cheese, and BLT. All perfectly tasty, hearty portions, and fresh as always. We’ll be back soon!
Atmosphere: when we walked in, the decor was so cozy and tables were spaced out well for the Covid time. Everyone respected each other's space. We got the window seat and it was just lovely. Service: our waitress was funny and helpful and friendly. Came to check on us just enough not too much and gave great recommendations. Food: amazing! The best brunch I had in awhile. The biscuits are just perfect and I loved the fried chicken, biscuit and gravy. The portion was perfect and taste was so good. Gravy had pieces of sausages in it. The egg was perfectly cooked as well. The waitress recommended this and if I were you I would definitely order this. The maple syrup butter and biscuit combo was amazing as well. My husband had the pancake and he loved it. I also had him, ginger syrup cocktails and it balanced my fried chicken gravy heaviness so well. This place is amazing.
Went there for lunch while visiting Woodstock. Great food and service! Best espresso martinis we’ve had in a long time. You won’t be disappointed!
Beautiful restaurant, wonderful staff, amazing food and bar selection. It is very large and spacious, with high ceilings and different rooms. The musician stage is also bigger than most stages you find, with very high quality audio and visual. The owners, Scott and Betsy, are very hands on, approachable, and generous. They are leading the effort to expanding the Woodstock nightlight, and are doing a great job at it. Hopefully other businesses and residents in the town will jump on board as well!
Our band played at Pearl Moon and it was so fun 😊 Great service, atmosphere and Byron who books bands and runs the sound was such a great guy! Highly recommend playing here to any band and drinking/dining here to any patron making their way through Woodstock, NY! Love, Princess June
Great tasting food, amazing use of space, and excellent staff service. I also enjoy the amount of care and attention they bring to all customers and live music bands that stop by. To anyone that enjoys a good meal and cocktail and/or entertaining shows, Pearl Moon Woodstock would be the place to go. And for any music bands that are looking for a relatively small but low-stress venue to just play music for the sake of music, this is a great place to check out. Thank you again, Scott and Pearl Moon staff for having The Minorikeys perform for your 2025 Halloween Monster Mash/Costume Contest. And thank you, Byron for helping with sound engineering.
Highly recommend! I picked up a breakfast burrito today. The space is open, colorful, and beautiful. Simple but has a lot to say, with that being said the food does too! The burrito was huge! The salsa on the side added a nice punch that really topped it off. The side salad with watermelon radishes, cucumbers and a slice of orange made it simple and clean. I can’t wait to go back and try more other items and to see live music one day as well. They really did a great job with the old space of Harmony. 😊
We make the 90 minute drive from our home outside of Milford PA to Woodstock NY at least 3 to 4 times a year, and we do have some tried and true favorites when it comes to dining there, but we had never tried Pearl Moon until earlier today.... and now, we're hooked! We had lunch on the patio. I had the birria eggs Benedict, while my other half enjoyed the Berria tacos... both were superb... actually the best twist on traditional eggs Benedict that I've ever had anywhere. Service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. And the place, both inside and out, spotlessly clean. There was a nice crowd for a Wednesday lunch too. Highly recommend... and very lgbtq friendly too.
Great atmosphere! The chicken wings were cooked perfectly and slathered with very tasty sauce. Chunky homemade blue cheese dressing is the right way to top them off. Pan seared slamon crispy on the outside, soft and juicy inside. Loved the potatoes! Our waiter and all the staff were great. One of the few restaurants I prefer visiting in my old home town! +++++
My husband has a band and they play there sometimes. I took my parents and their friends while they were visiting me from Mexico and they loved the place too. Right on Woodstock,NY this place brings local musicians to the scene. Either seating at the bar or grabbing a table you can enjoy very good food and cocktails. The place has a cozy ambiance and if things get exciting you can also move some tables and dance right there. Make sure you have extra time to check out the town and stop at the Pearl Moon for a bite and a drink or two. Highly recommended. Prices are fair and they use high quality local products. It warms my heart seeing communities helping each other.
Came here with a large group while on vacation and we were blown away both by the food and the service. Miriam was INCREDIBLE - friendly, accommodating, and just so easy to work with. And the FOOD OMG. I personally got the huevos rancheros and it was heavenly. Every plate on the table was DEVOURED. Come here - you will not be disappointed.
I'm visiting Woodstock and came here on a Thursday evening for their open mic night. The restaurant was cute inside and out. The wait staff were night and checked in on us. I had their beer on tap along with their non-alcoholic beers. Ordered honey BBQ swings, dry aged lamb chop, and chicken breast over mashed potatoes. Food came out hot and phenomenal. Their sauces were a tad salty but nothing a beer can't fix. They didn't rush us out. I would come back again.
Loved the atmosphere! The patio seating is great to take in the nice weather. The bathrooms are immaculate. The customer service was friendly, very pleasant, and attentive. We ordered the grilled cheese with bacon and the crispy fried chicken thigh sandwich. The fries and beers were great. We were underwhelmed by the sandwiches. Too much cheese ruined the blt. My chicken was undercooked on the inside but crispy on the outside, which tells me that the oil was way too hot. Nice vibes in this place. I'll dine in next time because it looks like a starry stage. But I would definitely come back for the service, atmosphere and drinks!
We went for brunch on a,summer Sunday. It was not overly busy. Service was a bit slow. Three of us received our meal while 4th who only ordered pancakes. Had to flag down the waitress to locate. I ordered another mimosa I never recieved but was billed. We again had to flag down the waitress for the error where they gave me drink and removed it from the bill. I told them not to bother as we are leaving. Just not a great overall experience l
I tell people to go here all the time for the best eggs Benedict in town!!!! It’s an Awesome spot for brunch or dinner, has a beautiful dining room and lots of outdoor seating as well. They often have live shows in the evening although I’ve never been to one. The staff is always friendly and professional. My only complaint is that since they should have a few appetizer menu items. They don’t have any. The daily specials are always fresh and interesting and tasty!!! We went there for lunch the other day and the service is what stood out to me the most on this particular visit! We were served by a lovely woman named Miriam and she was super friendly and quick and was very accommodating to our 5month old baby. We got some soups and burgers and everything tasted amazing. Awesome spot in Woodstock!!!
Indoor and outdoor dining available. Tables are spaced out. Service was friendly, attentive and accommodating. Our coffee cups were constantly refilled. The food was prepared and presented well. The food came out in a timely manner. Overall, the meal was enjoyable and delicious, only gripe is the tiny hash brown for 4 dollars.
Lovely spot on the main drag in Woodstock with a good amount of outdoor seating if you’re there in good weather. Our server was friendly, but seemed a little bit too busy. I had the special meatloaf sandwich of the day which was very tasty, although the meat crumbled a little bit too much. My husband had the pecan coated French toast and he liked it very much. I would definitely try it again.
Nice ambience and the food is pretty good. It's an upscale restaurant so the food and drinks tend to be on the pricier side but I don't really have any complaints with the food or service. Our table got espresso martinis and it was honestly too strong for me because I'm a lightweight but the drink was good! We ordered the fettuccine and I got a salad on the side too. Overall, a pretty neat place to check out!
Ordered Michelada for drinks, it was good! For food, I ordered veggie pita from lunch menu, it was healthy: made of whole wheat pita, avocado, cucumber, etc. I ordered with a side of fries. My partner ordered breakfast with side of salad and toast. Salad had balsamic vinegar drizzle so it tasted a little sweet, but good. Toast was nice too. Everything tasted good. Would love to visit again.
We've been here for Brunch and it was perfect. Birra Benedict is a standout. Don't pass up the Bloody Mary! Came with friends to try dinner on Saturday evening. My hanger steak with Bearnaise and truffle fries was delicious! The steak was mid rare, as ordered, and amazingly the truffle fries were super well done, also as ordered! The dish could use a vegetable though. The Special of Chipotle braised Short Rib, a vegetarian dish of Fettuccine, and the Chicken Milanese was enjoyed by my companions. I didn't taste, but they were all happy! In a touristy village with so many high priced, fine dining options, Pearl Moon has a little bit funky atmosphere including live music, a small but diverse menu, and reasonable prices. We weren't drinking so that kept the cost down. Don't pass them up!
This is among the best fish and chips I have ever had! Buttery fish, perfectly light and crispy batter. Soooo good! We really enjoyed sitting out on the patio, too. Perfect lunch!
A nice atmosphere with a lovely outdoor dining area and evening entertainment. Service was extremely slow and I was shocked at how long it took to get drinks when they really weren't busy at all. We were there around 3:30 p.m. there was only one other couple sitting outside having drinks. It took at least 15 minutes to get the drinks to our table. Service was slow atmosphere was nice drinks were okay we had some appetizers that were pretty good.
It’s a good local bar/ hangout. However, if you are a musician playing there, don’t expect an attentive audience. People go to hang, drink, talk. It’s a down home local venue
This could have been such a memorable night, but unfortunately, it turned out to be really disappointing. The ambiance, live music, and overall vibe were fantastic, easily 11/10, and booking for a party of eight was smooth, with a beautiful table waiting for us. Service started strong, but once the restaurant filled up, it became clear the staff was overwhelmed. Half of our table received drinks and appetizers quickly, while the rest waited nearly 40 minutes, including for simple draft beers. When we tried to flag the issue, it felt like our server avoided our table, and even a food runner told us to go to the bar to sort it out ourselves. Eventually, the missing drinks appeared, but there was no acknowledgment or apology for the long wait. By the time the server came back to ask about more drinks or dessert, the mood had shifted because our server had been avoiding us and, at times, came across as condescending. We came in excited to enjoy multiple rounds of drinks and some dessert, but left as fast as possible, feeling uncomfortable and frustrated.
While the food here has always been good and the wait staff is always nice, our recent visit was disappointing. After working in restaurants in my younger life, I understand they have many moving parts and are difficult enterprises to run. That said, this experience left a lot to be desired. We were promptly seated outside as requested, which we appreciated. But the table was sticky, and I ended up cleaning it myself while the waitress asked if we wanted anything besides water—without offering more napkins or to clean the table. When our food arrived, the server asked about ketchup, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. I didn’t hear the latter. My partner declined hot sauce, but no condiments were brought. The toast was buttered but not adequately, and by the time I finally tracked down more butter—after waiting, asking the hostess, and then going inside—the toast and eggs were cold. When I raised these concerns with the owner, she initially apologized and I thought, “Okay, good.” But then she returned and said, “I have to push back,” focusing on technicalities: “the toast is always buttered,” “the staff always asks about condiments,” and so on. She ignored the sticky table and the fact that many people don’t know what they want to season their food with until after tasting it. Instead of considering the overall experience, she dismissed it. When I said that if she needed to push back we simply wouldn’t return, she responded, “That’s good to hear because we don’t want you here.” Breakfast for two—just pancakes, eggs, and potatoes—was nearly $50 with tip, for less than $5 worth of ingredients. I understand restaurants have overhead, staff, and other costs, but when prices are that high, professionalism and care matter even more. The food is good, the staff is kind, but professionalism and respect from the owner were absent. To her credit, after our exchange, she did appear more engaged and active.
FYI: NOT DOG-FRIENDLY. Don’t be mislead. We somewhat curtly told they’re not allowed after reviews told us they welcome dogs. Then they let in a person with a dog behind us. Not sure why the discrimination. Maybe the other dog owner was a local. ETA: Appreciate the response. I was accommodated by another restaurant a few blocks away that was happy to seat us inside with the pup, no problems or side-eye upon entry. I don't think the chilly reception and double standard (I'm calling BS on the convenient 'service dog' story) leaves me wanting to return. But I'm happy to hear you may possibly accommodate other dog owners in the future under the right circumstances.
Rude, Rude, Rude (not the wait staff)...My boyfriend and I went to Pearl Moon in Woodstock, NY on Saturday, February 14, 2026. We had a 5:00pm reservation. I received a call from Pearl Moon a few days before the reservation to let us know that the table was needed at 7:00pm for another reservation, and I informed the caller that was no problem. We finished our dinner, which we enjoyed. What we did NOT enjoy was being told at 6:30pm by a woman (not our male waiter, who we tipped 25%) that we had to LEAVE immediately. I had not even finished my drink. It was the rudest experience that I have ever had a restaurant. We were on a romantic dinner and Valentine's Day paying good money for our meal and was literally, rudely and abruptly told to leave. We were floored. I told the woman that we had received a phone call, and I was told there was a 7:00 reservation, which I did not interpret as needing to leave at 6:30pm. I was told that she was mistaken and we had to leave immediately. She never even looked to see that I had not finished my drink. She never said I am so sorry to have to do this on Valentine's Day. The food was good, the treatment was NOT. Response: Thank you for the apology. However, the tone of your response is defensive rather than accountable because it prioritizes your staff member's perspective over our experience as your guest. Offering to call and talk about what happened or some type of refund would have been appreciated. We are from out of town and had selected Pearl Moon over other places where we could have dined that evening as it seemed special. Also, in the response, you mention the review seems harsh. What was harsh was the Pearl Moon's treatment of us, as guests dining on a special Valentine's Day evening. We did not let it ruin our night, but it easily could have. I’m not sure how being told ‘you need to leave now’ could not mean leave immediately, but that’s me. We were pleasant because we were so appalled and floored at the request to leave as we had not yet finished our drinks. We did mention our experience it to a waiter near the door as were leaving the restaurant. He was apologetic and offered us a free drink; however, we were too upset by the prior treatment to accept it at that moment.
I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant today. I came in with my service dog and was told ahead of time that it was completely fine. The moment we arrived, the story changed — suddenly we were told the dog was only allowed if he didn’t bark (he never made a sound). Meanwhile, a dog at another table did bark, yet the hostess came straight to us with an attitude, acting like we were the problem and telling us we were the ones who needed to leave. Absolutely unacceptable. The service overall was horrible. There was an older woman sitting at the bar giving orders, staring at us the entire time, whispering to the staff, and it made the whole experience incredibly uncomfortable. The staff’s behavior felt rude, dismissive, and honestly, it came across as discriminatory. Every other table got attention from the waitress except us — she barely acknowledged we were even there. Then comes the bill… being charged two different amounts for the exact same beer with zero explanation? One supposedly “Happy Hour” price but no one mentioned any price differences at all. Everything felt shady and unprofessional. On top of all this, the food was terrible, the customer service was worse, and somehow we still ended up paying almost $150 for a meal and experience that wasn’t even worth a fraction of that. This place was a complete disappointment from start to finish. Never again.
