Avis sur San Franciso Creamery Walnut Creek
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely wonderful experience at San Francisco Creamery in Walnut Creek today. They opened the restaurant two hours early just to accommodate our student group, which was incredibly generous and speaks volumes about how much they care about their community and customers. When we arrived, they had a large table ready for everyone, and everything was thoughtfully prepared. The service was truly impeccable. Nanette, who even called the owner the night before to help make this happen, took care of us and made the entire experience seamless, warm, and welcoming. Our group of NLA students felt comfortable, celebrated, and genuinely cared for throughout the visit. I also have to mention how impressive the kitchen was. I honestly do not know how the chef managed to cook so many meals at one time, with everything coming out together, fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious, all with a smile on his face. The same was true for our ice cream orders. Despite the size of our group, everything was prepared quickly and perfectly. It was incredibly impressive and showed such pride and professionalism. From the exceptional service to the delicious food and ice cream, every part of the experience exceeded expectations. We are incredibly grateful for their kindness and outstanding hospitality, and we look forward to returning. Walnut Creek is lucky to have such a special place in its community.
SF Creamery is my go-to ice cream spot without a doubt. It’s hands down the best ice cream in the Bay. The place has such a nostalgic feeling t genuinely brings back childhood memories every time I walk in. From the classic flavors to the old-school atmosphere, everything about SF Creamery feels timeless. If you’re looking for amazing ice cream and a spot that hits you right in the memories, this is the place.
Been coming here since I was a kid and it’s always delicious! Celebrated many birthdays, getting my drivers license and more here. Prices have understandably increased, but the quality is consistent and the portion sizes are generous! I like to compare one scoop to the size of a softball haha. Mine and my family’s favorite flavor is the caramel golden Oreo!
We had lunch (and ice cream) here for my mother’s birthday and had a wonderful afternoon. The food was tasty, the ice cream was delicious as always, and service was prompt and friendly. They even added a candle for my mom’s sundae — super cute. P.S. I highly recommend the coffee caramel crunch with marshmallow topping!
This place was amazing!! Man vs Food spot!! Yup Adam Rich tackled "Everything but the Kitchen Sink" a whopping 75 and some change challenge to anyone or a party of 6 to enjoy. Of course I didn't get this, but a table over filled with family, what I presume, had ordered it. There were 4 of us who stopped in this gorgeous creamery for something sweet. Little did we know they also serve lunch/dinner as well. But that's for another post. I ordered a make my own Sundae. First off I got a scoop of the apple pie ice cream, and then a scoop of decadent chocolate lovers dream ice cream. Topped with Butterscotch syrup and raspberry drizzle, with whip cream & crushed peanuts with a cherry on top!! It was the best I've ever had. I can't eat very much ice cream but every great once in a while I'll have some. This is worth it!! My boyfriend ordered a banana shake, which they give you the cold glass and you fill up as you go with the shake container left beside with your milkshake with whip cream. It took him 3 fills to tackle that shake!! My brother had the new Beignet sundae, by the way delicious take on Beignets. And his girlfriend had ordered I believe was a coffee and waffle boat sundae. Y'all will just have to take a trip there to see what I'm talking about. It's definitely worth the trip. Beautiful area and other local shops to check out in the area. We're going back to try lunch/dinner soon!!
These old fashioned ice cream shops are rare these days AND they are amazing. Love this place! Amazing sundaes with a few dairy free options if you're looking for that. And the food is great too!! This pic is of a small sundae that I customized by adding banana slices and 2 toppings instead of just one. So good! Their ice cream cakes are really good too!!
Great place. Not only ice cream, though that is what they are known for. We went there, because we saw it in the the show " Man vs Food". It did not disappoint. We arrived late, so we couldn't eat dinner, but ice cream was just fine. Nice atmosphere. Throwback feeling and decoration. Easy to find. $$
I didn’t love that we had to sit and get full table service just to have a scoop of ice cream but the ice cream was tasty! 😋 No complaints there! More context if you’d like it 🤷🏾♀️: There is a traditional ice cream counter right up front if you’d like to take your ice cream to go but they don’t allow you to order there if you’d prefer to eat inside. You have to taste your ice cream at the counter and then go wait to be seated, given menus , and wait for someone to come take your order . Then you order at the table what you already knew you wanted at the counter 5-10 minutes ago! lol The place also serves pizza so I guess it’s a way to get tips & justify taking up a table that could have been used for those having full meals.
My favorite cream shop.i drive from Danville to here just for their homemade rich, tasty ice cream.like no others. I tried burger but it’s not as good as their ice cream. I gave 4 because every time while my family and I working on our ice cream they bring me a ticket without asking for.maybe we want to order another or something else.
Ice cream was too hard and served in containers that were too small, which meant that before we could even start to eat it, it was spilling over the plate. It was my mistake that I didn't notice that nuts are standard on all their sundaes... but the server PROBABLY should have expressed concern that I didn't touch mine at all instead of the pro forma "everything good? Great!" as she walked by. Kids liked their ice cream, but they're kids.
We ordered ice cream to go but decided to stay inside because it was raining outside. The restaurant was basically empty, maybe one or two families in the entire place. We sat down to eat the ice cream we just ordered and one of the waitresses came up to us and said that we couldn’t sit at the table because we ordered to go. So we all had to stand up to eat our ice cream while all the tables but 2 were empty. It was the craziest thing. Response to the owner response: Actually, we would have been just fine paying a sales tax had we been given that option. And the options you just mentioned were never offered, instead we stood in the dining room to eat. That’s what was so odd about the entire experience — we were not asked to leave the dining area, we were just told we could not sit at the table since we ordered “to go”. Considering that most restaurants do not enforce this law you’re referencing, it would make sense to have employees offer options and briefly explain when enforcing it.
I used to come here all the time and I had a very negative experience this time. I usually order a sundae and substitute one of the toppings for no extra charge. This time, the cashier helping me said they do not do that. I explained that they are listed under the same price in the toppings section and I’ve been able to substitute it in the past, and she repeated herself saying they do not do that. I tried asking for a manager to explain the situation and she said she was the manager and refused to explain why this sudden change. I’ve never experienced such a negative and unhelpful interaction and I felt very dismissed and disappointed.
Horrible service and nasty ice cream. Left a bad taste in my mouth . After I told the guy if there was a way u can switch it the mango tasted like it went bad he said I have to buy another one. They’re serving ice cream that’ doesn’t taste right yet can’t stand by their “quality” idk never coming back
