The Rouxpour is a nice spot for Cajun and Creole food around Baybrook. The menu has a good variety, from gumbo and seafood to steaks and pasta. The flavors are rich and well-seasoned, and the portions are filling. The atmosphere is lively but still comfortable for families or date nights. Service is generally friendly and attentive. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality and experience make it worth it for a treat. Overall, a solid place if you’re craving Louisiana-style food.
As a person who has food allergies I am very careful at seafood restaurants. Usually the server will get annoyed and angry with my questions about the ingredients. Tonight I went to a place I've never been so of course the questions begin. Our server Thomas was very patient. Kind and helpful. Thanks to his great service we were able to enjoy a great meal without any allergic reactions. The food was amazing. The lavender martini was fantastic but the service is what made our visit the best. Thank you guys. Keep up the great work.
My husband and I don't come here often, but we love it when we do. We would come more often if the expense wasn't prohibitive, but it is not a budget-friendly place! However, it is worth it for elevated food. We love the chicken and sausage gumbo, although it's almost too spicy for me (not him). It has such a rich flavor. Our favorite entree is the stuffed flounder. The waiters are usually friendly and pleasant but can sometimes be a little slow, especially bringing drinks from the bar.
Our server was AWESOME. The female manager was to. She was helping bringing the food out since they were short staffed that day.
Kids were on lunch break from a tournament and we were in a bit of a hurry. Waitress was great, took our order quickly and food was out very fast. Pasta was good and sauce was great, would have liked more garlic bread to come with the meal. Definitely above average customer service.
Firstly, the food was amazing! We had the crawfish etouffee which was so creepy and cheesy with just the right amount of crawfish. The bread that was served with it was delicious on its own too. The baked oysters were out of this world! The best baked oysters I’ve ever had. Topped off with jalapeño, cheese, chives and a whole lot of goodness. Very filling on their own! And to finish off a wonderful meal. The Crème brulée! Sweetness to perfection! It was nice and creamy and topped off with the right amount of fruits. But the best part of everything was the service. Our waiter was fantastic and super friendly. Gave great recommendations and made the whole dining experience worth it. Definitely one of the best restaurants I have been to and will be coming back.
Mike G, made our dinner experience as great as the food we ate, which was phenomenal!! He was attentive, never let us run out of water, and kept us smiling the whole meal. We even stayed for dessert. Some meals are remembered for the food. This one will always be remembered for the service. Warren made this entire experience exceptional from start to finish. From the moment he came to the table, he struck the perfect balance—attentive without hovering, relaxed without ever seeming disengaged. It was clear right away that he takes real pride in what he does. When I had questions about the menu, he answered every single one with confidence and accuracy, breaking down the flavor profile of each dish in a way that actually helped me decide. His recommendation of the blackened red snapper was spot-on and ended up being one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. It felt less like a suggestion and more like expert guidance. What really set him apart, though, was his awareness. My drink was never empty—not once. Refills showed up before I even noticed my glass was low. That level of attentiveness is rare and says everything about how closely he pays attention to his tables. On top of all that, Warren was genuinely funny and personable. He went along with our jokes, added to them, and made the whole meal feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than transactional. When the food arrived, he didn’t just check in out of obligation—he asked about specific flavors and whether everything tasted the way it should, and you could tell he truly cared about the answer. The food was great, but Warren is the reason this place stands out. He turned a good dinner into a memorable experience. If you’re lucky enough to get Warren as your server, you’re in for an outstanding meal. Absolute GOAT-level service.
Andre, Mike, Warren, and Orlando were absolutely phenomenal. They didn’t just serve us, they created an experience. From singing to nonstop laughter, their energy was infectious and made our visit genuinely unforgettable. You can tell they’re not just coming in for a paycheck — they’re truly there for the people, and it shows in the way they connect with guests. This is the kind of team that keeps customers coming back. Management should be incredibly proud! Andre was our server he was great! The others joined in on the fun!
Bienville chargrilled oysters are hands down the best flavor at this restaurant and the best you will get ANYWHERE. They’re Rockefeller is also better than anywhere else I’ve had that kind of oyster. I’ve had the Boudin Stuffed Chicken multiple times and it’s so flavorful and tender. Highly recommend. My dad had the Red Snapper and rates it 100/10. Between four others in my party, we split two dishes (boudin stuffed chicken and pork ribeye) which I recommend because it’s still a lot of food, a good portion at half the cost on the menu. We devoured our food so fast so no time for pics but just know everything’s played beautifully. Live Music occasionally!
Came to Rouxpour for Sunday brunch and boy was it delicious. I had the French Quarter Fried Eggs & Boudin - the corn bread was perfectly sweet, the boudin and crawfish etouffe was soo flavorful, it was a party in my mouth! My fiancée had the Pin Perdu and Fried Chicken - the chicken was juicy and flavorful, paired with the house praline sauce and French toast..amazing!! Andres was our server and he provided exceptional service. He was attentive and enjoyed his lively personality.

Had an exquisite lunch served by our amazing waiter Andres! He was super accommodating and friendly. Definitely recommend the oysters, specifically the Spinach Madeline (yum), the Zydeco Chicken & Bayou Pork Ribeye. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious.

We went on Saturday for the brunch menu. We started off with the special fondue appetizer which had lobster, crawfish tails, and shrimp, along with spinach and mushrooms-incredibly delicious! We had the signature Bloody Mary’s with our appetizer and entrées. We had the Cajun Omelet with the addition of crab meat, and the French Quarter fried eggs and Boudin-absolutely wonderful! We finished our meal with Cranberry Mimosas. Our waitress, Mackinzie, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was relaxed, with music in the background. Will definitely go again.
My wife and I had an excellent meal and experience. We were celebrating our 9th year anniversary. Warren our waiter was excellent and very intuitive. I mean this guy had personality for days. You could tell this place hired quality employees. The 14oz ribeye with lump crab was amazing. They even had a fully loaded baked potato inside of a fried onion as a side… that was delicious. My husband and I stopped here on a whim on date night and had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Warren as our server and when I say he absolutely made our night, I mean it! His energy, joy and kindness turned and already wonderful atmosphere into an amazing dining experience! His recommendations of what to try were spot on and the food was melt in your mouth delicious. I was delighted to be served by Warren, who was very knowledgeable in the menu and made some wonderful recommendations for my dinner. I had a Texas blueberry martini along with the Rouxpour pasta with shrimp 🍤, spinach and blackened chicken also had an appetizer -chicken & sausage gumbo!! Everything was perfectly served ❤️ highly recommend!!
My Husband & I Came in Sunday for the first time. I tried to remember my waitress name. She seated us close to the front. We ordered Gumbo & A Wonderful steak dinner. She really served us with the spirit of excellence. Her service was most definitely a 5 Star. We will come back soon.
My wife and I had dinner here for our anniversary and absolutely loved it! The Red Snapper was cooked to perfection, and the Charbroiled Oysters were a fantastic way to start the meal. Great food overall! We ordered the pasta Rosa, crab stuffed flounder, gumbo, and oysters. Oysters were fresh and delicious with a great selection of condiments. Only critique is that there were maybe 3 good ones and 3 that were small and not as meaty. Pasta Rosa was probably the best order for me. The shrimp was plump and tasty. The crawfish also tasted good. The sauce was a good balance of creamy and savory. I would order this again. The crab stuff flounder and gumbo were okay, but felt like there was a bit too much salt. Overall, solid choice for New Orleans type food, though definitely on the pricier side.
Went went hear for my birthday dinner with my girl and her family. She wanted to absolutely embarrass me and damn near force me to wear a ribbon that said birthday boy .. I didn't want to do it. Even the server said he was gonna make me dance on the table 😮💨. I can't get a break even on my birthday. Anyways, the restaurant is uncanny with its atmosphere, delicious food and great service. I wanted to get almost order everything on the menu. It would have been an easy 5 star rating if it wasn't for that remake made by our server about me dancing on the table. 😑 p.s. it helps to make a reservation beforehand.
We enjoyed a positive dining experience at this location. We were quickly seated without a reservation. Our server was fast, knowledgeable, and had a great personality. Our food was outstanding! Hot, fresh, well plated, and packed with mouthwatering flavors. My only negative, which is personal as I'm an interior designer, is that the restaurant feels so dark and oppressive with the decor and design. Personal preference only, but it feels old and stale. I'm sure more than the majority of dinners love the restaurants design and enjoy its atmosphere for this reason. It's just not my vibe. I would, however, return for the food and service.
