So so good ramens here. A little pricey, 1 ramen about 20-25 but so good. I love tonkotsu but chicken karage is a wonderful choice. All teas you have to pay ~$3-5/cup not like other Japanese restaurants.

Wonderful staff, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. I had the Yuzu Shoyu Ramen and Vegetable Bun. Both of the these items were so good. I was very excited for this experience and Ippudo did not disappoint!

Ramen perfection! This is hands down one of the best ramen spots in NYC. You definitely get your money's worth! I had the Karaka Spicy Ramen, and the spice level was perfect. The broth was incredibly flavorful. We also got an order of chicken kaarage, which was delicious and complemented the ramen perfectly. Ideal for a cold, rainy day in the city!

I would say it is a nice place to get ramen. We got in towards the end of the day and the employees understandably look pretty worn out. Ramen they served had generous items in it. Price point wise it is typical NYC tax. I ended up getting the Potara Miso with the extra treasure toppings. Definitely generous serving but I wanted to add more noodles for the excess which was overkill. Not really sure how I was able to walk it off because it was a lot of food. Even though my group stayed a little while talking past closing the staff were ok with it. Overall it was a decent experience.

I liked it. The ramen was delicious, the ambience was cool and the waiter (I think the name was José or Jorge) was dope!

Rich, flavorful broth with perfectly chewy noodles and tender pork. The quality is always consistent, and the vibe is lively but comfortable. A go-to spot for great ramen every time.

Started with the bao buns, which were excellent. Soft and pillowy buns filled with an eggplant and eryngi mushroom patty, lettuce, and mayo. Simple, well balanced, and very satisfying. For ramen, we tried the Daizu no Chikara Miso, Nirvana Classic, and Karaka. The Nirvana Classic stood out with its mushroom infused soy milk broth. It was comforting, creamy, and rich without feeling heavy. Toppings included fried enoki, carrot, garlic oil, tofu chashu, sprouts, fried onion chips, ginger, bamboo shoots, scallions, and corn. Everything worked together beautifully. The Daizu no Chikara Miso came with onion and tofu chashu, scallions, bamboo shoots, and corn. The miso was flavorful but not overly spicy, making it easy to enjoy even if you prefer milder heat. The Karaka added a nice kick with its niku style spicy bolognese sauce. The spice level was enjoyable rather than overpowering, and the topping added depth and a bold contrast to the broth. Overall, both broths were excellent. The soy milk ramen was especially comforting, while the miso leaned more savory than spicy. The spicy bolognese topping on the Karaka was a highlight. Service was attentive and smooth, and the ambience was warm, modern, and inviting. A great spot for both a relaxed meal and a comforting bowl of ramen.

We ordered the Nirvana ramen and miso ramen (both of them vegetarian). Miso ramen was flavourful as usual. Nirvana ramen was good too but it tasted much better with the spicy paste(karaka).

Uttara Dhoble

Not many chicken options, but the ones they had were pretty good. I also tried all the vegan ramen, and it was tasty. The only downside is that there's always a wait for a table.

We walked by and decided to get some food there. What a wonderful surprise. The broth was great. The seasoning was perfect (We like it light) The chicken bun was so yummy. We came here for dinner and were lucky to get a table as it was quite busy. The ramen is delicious as were the bans. The prices aren’t cheap but it’s a tasty meal.

I haven't been to ippudo NY in about 2 years. The quality has definitely gone down. The Akamaru no longer comes with bean sprouts, egg or nori. I believe you can order it for a separate price??? Chashu is just some thin ham nothing like at ippudo in Japan and what they served previously. I am surprised ippudo japan would be ok with what is being seved here for $23 a bowl. Way overpriced and not a very good product.

Honestly disappointed. Had a lot of ippudo in Japan so came with expectations that it would be similarly tasting, but unfortunately unlike Ichiran, the flavors just didn't reflect the authentic tastes of Ippudo Japan. The broth was nowhere near as rich and flavorful as the original, portions are much smaller (i hardly got enough broth) even the customization options weren't similar to the Japan restaurants. NY ramen is always pricier so prices are comparable to other stores, but if you want a more realistic authentic taste of ramen, I would not recommend this place.

Went here for dinner based on recommendation from sibling. We went late. We called in for reservations and the lady said they don’t take reservations since we large party and she even said we would be sat separately. Well we took our chance and went there and there was literally no one!! So lucky for us we got to sit together. Ordered sodas and my hubby was really thirsty and finished his soda only to find out that there are no free refills!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I mean it’s a machine soda! Really?! I told everyone else to sip the sodas. 😅 The ramen was good though and the katsu chicken was good as well. Wouldn’t visit here again

A Miruru

I've learned of this place many years ago when it was impossible to dine here without spending several hours in line. Now, you just walk right in on a Friday night with many empty seats. Having finally tasted their famous ramen, I understand why the line had dwindled. The ramen texture is pretty good but everything is just okay, which is not good considering you are paying $30 for a bowl of noodle (inc taxes and tips). Theres barely much in the soup except two thin slices of chasuu ( I think they qualify more as ham, not chasuu???). There's no vegetable, no egg, everything will cost you extra. It really leaves much to be desired.

First time to this location and it’s extremely disappointing! Mediocre food with high price and terrible service!! We came in on the slow mid-day, got seated right away. I was super excited about the good options for vegetarian bowls despite the higher price. I had the Nirvana Classic ramen, the broth was delicious, ramen was cooked to perfect texture, but for a $23 bowl, the topping is very skimpy. The biggest turn off was the server!! She basically ignored customers (not just us!) big time! I had a hard time catching her to order some add-ons, and same thing happens when we’re ready for the check. Again, the place was NOT busy at all. At this point, I rather this place be an ‘express’ version— order and pay digitally!! I’ve been coming to Ippudo for years every time I visit NYC, maybe this will be the last time, I much rather go to some non-chained ramen shops in the city. Now I started to understand why Ippudo has not been a place mentioned on social medias anymore. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

The location is pretty nice but the ramen was definitely low quality. The service was absolutely horrible. The girl with the blond/white tips has a nasty attitude. I wanted to order appetizers and she rolled her eyes and said that it takes 30 minutes for it to come out that it’s best I dont order it. I was so confused where this attitude came from that I decided to just not order appetizers at all and just get ramen. Then when it was time to ask for the check she goes “you have to wait I’m busy.” She was so incredibly rude that I tried my best to avoid speaking to her at all or asking for anything. Never coming back here!
