I arrived surprised to see Mod Market completely empty. Ordered the salmon curry dish and sat down. Curiosity got the best of me and I asked Google why there was no one there when it was super busy just a couple of months ago. When I read about the poisoning, I realized it was my lucky day. After something like that they take severe measures to ensure it won’t happen again. My salmon bowl was delicious, but more importantly nutritious. Thank you Mod Market for staying open and fixing your mistake.
The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, perfect for a healthy but satisfying meal. What really made our visits stand out, though, is the exceptional service from Arturo. He is welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can tell he cares about making sure customers have a great experience.. Highly recommend!
Modern Market is an amazing healthy option any day of the week! Customer service is 10/10 everyone is super friendly at this location, and the food is amazing every time! Highly recommend the curry salmon bowl it’s my go to! Try it out you will not be disappointed. I hit up this location every time I’m in the area you should too
Haven’t been here in a while till recently & I had the best bowl! My flavors were paired so well & the food tasted good even though I had it delivered. Def a great spot to go to for a quick & healthy lunch bite. Update: I ended up eating in the restaurant & the food was just as tasty! I know this spot is a chain, but I always appreciate how cute it is on the inside & how much seating they offer.
I want to give a shoutout to the two ladies working today during the Sunday lunch rush — they were severely understaffed but handled everything with grace. Forgot my order but as soon as I told them they made it immediately and it was hot and delicious. I don’t know how they made so many online orders and handled a full restaurant by themselves but they deserve kudos. Yes we all had to wait a long time for our food but they should have had more support from management. Anyway the food here is always yummy and if you haven’t had the Buddha bowl I totally recommend it.
I was Ubering and stumbled across this place and it looks amazing there was no one in at the time but it’s very cozy and modern and the food smelled absolutely breath taking! I was unable to order anything but based off other reviews the menu looks great and i will most definitely return to test out their food. The employees were respectful and the place was very clean
We ordered again for lunch to be delivered for 8 people. I am a day late on doing the review, we ordered yesterday. Everything was smooth from ordering to being delivered. Everything arrived, nothing missing, 1 order was not correct. One person ordered the tofu salad, Buddha, and subbed the tofu for Salmon and the salad did not have the Salmon. Everything was packed well. This time I ordered the Bacon Jam sandwich on ciabatta roll with Mac & Cheese. The sandwich was very tasty, no complaints at all. The Mac & Cheese arrived cold and was very dry, did not care for it at all. Everyone else enjoyed their meal. We will order from here again, but I do not recommend the Mac & Cheese. No one is perfect and we will make mistakes sometimes, so since it has been just this one time of not having an order correct I overlook it on the review. We ordered lunch from here for 8 people. From the order to delivery, everything went pretty quick and smooth, no issues. Great service all around, all 8 orders were correct no issues. Everything was packed well and was visually appealing upon arrival. I did a build your own bowl with Spring Mix, Creamy Jalapeño Lime dressing, blackened chicken thigh, blue corn chips, mango salsa, cilantro, and fresh jalapeños. Everything was fresh and tasted very good. The dressing was amazing, and the fresh jalapeños were nice and hot! Definitely will order from here again. No issues at all from beginning to end! A+ Modern Market Eatery!
This review is for the MacArthur Irving location, but I was unable to locate the Irving cafe, but wanted to add a review. I stumbled across this eatery while running errands in and around the Irving,Tx. After reviewing the menu, I opted for the grilled chicken bacon jam club sandwich. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich with chips, which was more than enough for me. Service was quick and sandwich was good, I would eat there again.
This is my second time here. I got the bacon jam club, which is bacon (over cooked and some burned parts), chicken, bacon jam dressing (excellent!) and some other ingredients on a toast. The toast was over toasted and hard. But the sandwich itself was good. I like they have non-HFCS fountain drinks. Service was good and the place was clean.
My Lemongrass Ahi Tuna bowl was fresh but not enjoyable. The pickled onion overpowered everything. I took a lot of it out but the onion ruined the whole dish. (And I love pickled onion). Very disappointed in the food. I will say that the food presentation was beautiful. My husband enjoyed his barbecue chicken Pizza.
Overall a positive experience, but not by much. Parking is a bit complicated. Just go straight to the garage. Service was friendly, but not super focused on what we were saying, so it took a few tries to get it right. Food came out pretty quickly. I got the Steak Sandwich, and it was tasty, but a little too gristly, and the side cabbage was so runny that it soaked the bottom of the bread. Prices were reasonable.
I placed a order to be picked up exactly at the time that was given to me on the follow up email after paying for the orders online, to be exact. I still had to wait instead of just walking in and grabbing my order from the counter as I would normally do, but the way the manager approached me was like I wasn't a customer I felt as if I were a third party picking up a order for someone else, there's no hospitality instilled inside of the MANAGER, to be frank the manager is just going threw the motions, im ashamed to say but this individual is very hallow with his own color. I waited under 5 minutes to get my orders I ordered, and then decided to eat my dish inside of my vehicle and the Ahi tuna meat that was on my dish wasn't properly cut at all come on now chunky Ahi tuna what happened to the thin slices that I would get as it is shown on the website, l ended up feeding some of it too the birds a customized meal that was more than 20 dollars. I can see from miles away that it's all about money, instead of real genuine hospitality
The staff here is kind of rude. This is my second time visiting and my order wasn’t correct. I just went with it the first time but this time I asked for it to be remade and the guy pictured making the food said “it’s a web order and handed it back” when I asked again for the second time to have it remade, I tried to tell him what it was and how it should have been made, he kinda snapped at me and said “I know what it is” 💭😐oop, okay, rude much? He knew his tone was rude and tried to clean it up at the end. The food is ok but they need better service. Customer service is so fleeting these days. People have to realize when in service jobs, you don’t have to kiss butt but you should have a customer first mindset since that’s how you make money. Next time I buy my office lunch, maybe I should find a friendlier place to spend my coin.
I would rate 0 stars if I could. I love Modern Market (especially this location it’s close to my house ) I’ve been coming here on the weekends lately, especially in the morning after Church. I’ve tried to understand this situation, for the longest time, but lately it’s getting out of control, first of all the customer service is AWFUL, The lady manager , that is there on the weekends , every time we get there she will take 10 to 15 min to get our order , i would understand if she is short staffed or maybe people in front of us, but its none of that, she is busy because she is taking care of her kids , 3-4 kids running around the restaurant, making a mess at the fountain drink and the restrooms, I know this since I’ve tried to use the restroom and all of them were using it, after that they clogged a toilet with paper, I let the manager know (the mom) and she just looked at me like I was crazy and gave us attitude the whole time , I’m not trying to get anyone in trouble, but this is unacceptable, And if there is a Higher person who is able to take care of this situation please do, since I think it is effecting your whole business. I won’t be coming back to this location, please don’t try to get back to me . I will also let my family members and friends know about this issue since we all used to enjoy coming to Modern Market.
Extremely disappointing experience. Coffee was spilled all over the food items, and the driver took over 45 minutes to arrive even though I’m less than 10 minutes away. By the time the order showed up, hot items were cold, cold items were warm and melted, and the entire order was completely inedible. This was a $100+ order that went straight in the trash. To make it worse, customer service only issued a $17 refund for a totally ruined order. Unacceptable handling, poor quality control, and zero accountability. I won’t be ordering again.
I got the Baja blackened chicken salad and the romaine was completely wilted and brown. My avocado had also turned brown even after eating it within 10 minutes of pick up.
The food here is always good, but the customer service is always a hit or miss. Today I went in on my lunch break and waited. 25 minutes for a salad and upon Entering wasn’t acknowledged. It took about five minutes in order for me to just place my order and then I waited an additional 25 minutes for my to go order. It took up my entire lunch break. The poor guy that was working was basically doing all the orders by himself as an older Woman in the back, just sat and watched him make all of the orders. She did not offer to help in any shape or form and continue to give him dirty looks. She could’ve helped out a lot more so that he wouldn’t have gotten so backed up. She saw me walk in and instead of helping me place my order she literally turned around and walked away until the young man came and took my order. This is not the first time I’ve seen this experience with her. I could tell that she was trying to make herself seem busy, but literally did not help with orders at all. I watched her as she completely ignored her coworker, who was clearly backed up and needed her help.
I started this journey 45 minutes away from this particular restaurant taking my wife on a date. Google searched gluten-free near me to my surprise this is what I found. When we made it to the restaurant, I should’ve ran when I asked, was the delicious looking carrot cake in the glass display gluten-free to whom the register guy responded “ I’m pretty sure it is gluten-free”. I guess he could tell by the look on me and my wife’s face that wasn’t a good enough answer so he turned his back, pulled out the allergy, listed ingredient book, and after a while of searching, could not find the carrot cake in the book, we decided, of course not to order it. We did order the Curry salmon bowl, The salmon was very dry and the curry watery and tasteless. I did let them know, I would be unable to consume it and I exchanged it for a mushroom gluten-free pizza. It was edible but not impressive. The veggies looked like they were over cooked. The steak was grey. My daughters macaroni tasted like school cafeteria Mac-n-cheese, but worse. The arugula was wilted and dark green as if it was old. Something tasted like cleaner. I ate the rice, but it was also dry and gross. I eat at modmarket in other cities and never had such gross food. Paid nearly $50 for three of us and was never given a receipt. Maybe no paper 🤷🏻♀️. So disappointed, but mostly grossed out by my whole experience.
This is the most horrible experience I had in modern kitchen eatery. First they said they can’t provide receipt since they are out of paper; secondly i forgot literally all sauce that come with the lemongrass tuna I ordered, and the tuna is definitely not fresh and look at the color yourself plz. The orange sauce that comes with it tastes totally different from 3 weeks ago (I order from this location almost every week!!!) this taste awful and the staff especially the manager is kinda rude and insist the brown sauce is the right sauce. Definitely not coming back ever and I have been a regular for almost 2 years
