Been coming here for a while and this has become my takeout spot of choice. Not only does this place have a great selection, but the food is also of good quality, given the prices. The staff is friendly and accommodating and there are options for everyone. I highly recommend getting your takeout from them. They did not disappoint and I hope they do not in future. I visit them every week and am glad I do.

My go to Chinese food takeout. Prices are reasonable, food is good, and staff are friendly. Can't ask for anything else from a takeout joint! The only negative is that parking is sometimes a pain, but this is no fault of the restaurant.

Very reasonably priced with good lunch specials. Staff was nice throughout. The amount of food I got was massive. Very easily could have shared with someone. I get the General Tsos and it was very good. Good spot to eat.

I’ve been coming here for weeks after work they have the best orange chicken and chicken and broccoli. The lady with her daughter give excellent service as will would definitely recommend getting food from here👍

Very friendly lady. I ordered chopped suey and chow mein. There were many different ingredients. It was professionally looking and tasting. All fresh. The parking is very challenging. I do not live in NY anymore but I am jealous of anyone who can get fast delivery from Chen’s kitchen.

This take-out Chinese restaurant is my go-to location for our favorite dishes. My wife loves the House Special Mai Fun and the Young Chow fried rice. I get the Kung Po Chicken combination plate and Beef with Chinese vegetables. For a change-up, sometimes I will opt for Chicken with Snow Peas or Moo Goo Gai Pan. We both like the thick Wonton wrapper used to make the Wontons for the Wonton Soup. I always ask for the house mustard and some spice oil. They will make dishes spicy on request, but my wife likes it mild while I like it hot. I highly recommend Chen's Kitchen

Went back a few more times to try out the lunch specials. Sauteed shrimp and chicken (good) and chicken with blackbean sauce (not so good - very light), hot and sour soup (not so good - pretty mild), and egg drop soup (ok - again, pretty mild). In the end, we'll keep coming for the general tso's chicken as well as their fried rice - both still terrific! We heard about this place from our son's friend who lives nearby. In these tough times, I figured it's nice to spread the love across the local family run places. We ordered our standard dishes: General Tso's chicken, mushu pork, steamed vegetables with chicken, eggroll, and because they offered free pork fried rice or soda, we picked the fried rice. General's chicken was a bit of a letdown. Normally, I expect the sauce to be kind of thick and the chicken, when freshly made, is still piping hot and crispy despite the sauce. But the sauce here was a little thin and the chicken was kind of mushy. The mushu pork was the unremarkably good kind accompanied by the thin wrapper and a small thing of hoisin sauce. Hard to get wrong and thankfully, they didn't. Similarly, the steamed veg and chicken was as expected. My son reported the eggroll as satisfyingly crunchy and tasty. The surprising winner was the free pork fried rice. It had that wok-hay flavor that you just can't replicate at home. It was full of small but meaty pork chunks (and not all gristly). I'm definitely going to try the house special fried rice next time. I hear the Sinagpore maifun is pretty good there. Looks like we'll be going back!

Chen’s is our go-to for Chinese takeout. The food is good, especially the Singapore noodles that have all meats, shrimp and veggies. The chicken with broccoli is also a favorite. Some of the other meat items with veggies are very heavy on the cabbage and light on any other veggie so we stay away from those. The ribs and hot and sour soup is yum also.

Chen's Kitchen has been around for a long time and the food is always amazing. It is also priced very good considering it's in Long Island and not in the 5 boroughs.

Chen's is a wonderful classic take out restaurant serving traditional Chinese food. The ingredients are fresh and tastes are clean. Friendly staff make visiting pleasant and they have always remembered the 'freebie' as per the printed menu. Fried veggie dumplings are a fav!

Impressed by the food. Meat was tender and tasted good. Order completion was fast and service was good. The lady at the counter was very polite and sweet. During lunch, you get free roll, soup or soda. Lunch portions are large and are aplenty for an average adult. Will be ordering again.

Clean and friendly, however, Hot and sour soup was hearty, but unnecessarily too hot (spicy). Wonton soup too much salt. Egg rolls, just ok. Beef w/brockley and shrimp w/vegetables, just ok. Disappointing. Wouldn't go back.

Disgusting . DO NOT ORDER - last night we ordered food 45 minutes prior to closing , the delivery driver brought the wrong food, we realized in about 5-10 minutes & called him back. He returned & took the food (not ours) and then requested the paper , with the receipt meaning he brought that food to the next people , after it was in my hands (I opened 1 container of rice without realizing and another to confirm it wasn’t my order) , the restaurant was closed he couldn’t replace the food. The next person got there order that was already in my house. The food I received : one container completely opened & spilled into the bag (was my food in someone else’s house too??) I usually order from here but this was disgusting , mushy & undercooked. Will be contacting appropriate resources , will not order from here again. Upon contacting management I was belittled and offered a “half credit” why would I wanna eat from here again? , I’ll contact my cc.

Maybe they had an off day but purchased boneless spareribs combo with an egg roll. Rice was alright, egg roll was kind of good but the sparerib was horrible. It was dry and burnt everywhere, ended up throwing away half and just ate the rice. Will never go back.

The food was ok but it was either too oily or bland. The thing that took the rating down even more was the presentation of the food. They gave it in styrofoam plates which should not be there in the first place because it is illegal here. Last thing, they got our order completely wrong. I was kind of excited when I saw the good reviews but was put down when I actually got here. (Also the tables were really sticky😬)
