I recently dined at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the steak—cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I opted for the filet mignon, which was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth. The sides were equally impressive; the baked potato was fluffy, and the asparagus was perfectly seasoned. To complement the meal, I indulged in a superb glass of wine that elevated the entire dining experience. The wine list is extensive, featuring excellent selections that pair beautifully with the steaks. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance made for a perfect night out. If you're looking for a top-notch steakhouse, Ruth's Chris is a must-visit!

I've enjoyed steakhouses across the Country; some living up to their reputation and others seriously lacking. RC's exceeded their reputation! We were seated promptly (in respect to our reservation as they hold tight to your chosen time, we arrived early and waited 15 mins +/-,to be seated) The restaurant was bustling with staff and diners alike. From the servers to the bussers and hostess everyone was extremely attentive and friendly. Having dined on Christmas Eve, I expected there to be some delays but I was happily mistaken. We began with the wedge salad and Cesar salad. Both were large portions with crisp lettuce and flavorful dressings. Our entrees consisted of the 11 oz filet, (med rare) and the 16 oz ribeyes (also med rare) along with potatoes au gratin and roasted brussel sprouts. The streaks were surprisingly good! The seasoning was minimal: salt, pepper, butter and (I think🤔) rosemary. The steaks are broiled incredibly well! They were 'fork tender' with the perfect char and depth of flavor one would expect from quality beef. The steak was served on heated plates which held heat throughout the meal. The surprising aspect was the level of warmth without overcooking or drying out the steak! The steak remained hot until the very last morsel was devoured. The sides are large enough for two although we did split amongst the three of us. The only downfall was the servers forgot to bring our cocktails and we had to remind them, thus the cocktails arrived after our meal was served. We dined at the Woodland Hills location (which used to be TGIF for those familiar with the area). The restaurant was quite large, with various seating areas. The main area of the restaurant was uncomfortably loud, given the number of Holiday diners. We were fortunate to have been seated in a smaller dining area, keeping the noise to a minimum such that we could hear one another speak without hearing conversations nearby. All in all, our dining experience rivaled if not exceeded Mastro's, Peter Lugar's (which I think is over-rated but, it may have been the location <Las Vegas>), STK, Del Frisco's, to name a few. I highly recommend giving this "chain" restaurant a go, I don't think you'll be disappointed! Bon appetit!!

We had our family Christmas dinner at Ruth Chris in Woodland Hills. Amazing staff. The food was exceptional. We had 20 people in our group, and everyone was happy when we left. We are all looking forward to next year, with even a larger group.

Jeff is the BEST server I have ever experienced. Impeccable service attention to detail, attention to the conversation, Reading the room, understanding what we needed before we even asked for it. One of the greatest dinners we have had in along time. Thank you Jeff and thank you Ruth’s Chris We will tell everyone you are the best steakhouse around.

This was my first time going and it was really good, but dang $70 for a steak and no sides is a bit pricey.

Had reservations for 20 in their private room. The service was great, and the food was delicious, and everyone enjoyed their meal. We were glad we chose Ruth and Chris for son's graduation and look forward to returning. Zim are server was awesome.

Jason is a true credit to the service industry. On the way out I made it known to his manager and she could not have been more gracious in her gratitude to have him on her team. Jason is celebrating his 20th anniversary with Ruth’s Chris and I hope they celebrate him in the style and fashion he richly deserves.

This was the third location I have been to and all three locations are just as amazing as the other! Our waitress was attentive, gave great menu suggestions, and made sure we were satisfied. This was the closest location to Oxnard but we made that drive and it was well worth it. I ordered the T-bone steak and ate it all! No sauce needed! The chef had me licking the bone clean. The stuffed mushrooms and spicy shrimp are also great appetizers to order. We will visit again.

my steak was very good but a bit tough -not as tender as it was years ago. it was also pretty noisy. otherwise it was great 10/4/25 went back: we had a fabulous dinner! i asked for a quiet table and (perhaps because there were 8 of us) we got a small private room. that made all the difference! well, not all. the food was great too! the appetizers (stuffed mushrooms and veal ravioli) were delicious. the salads were just right. the steaks were fabulous. the waiter did a great job. it was a very special evening!

Easy making reservations online at their website. I chose the Pasadena location. I wanted an early dinner so we went at 6pm. Tables ready with confetti sprinkled around on the table. This was a birthday for my son dinner out.. my son had never been to this restaurant. He was going to decline coming because he thought it was too expensive. I assured him there was plenty of things he could get and not break the bank. We both chose the 55 three course dinner. It was very good. It started out with French onion soup. It was not salty as many other others are it was perfect. Main course was a filet mignon cooked just right with shrimp. Side dishes I chose cream spinach, and he mashed potatoes. Because it was his birthday the waiter brought out the nicest dessert with happy birthday written in chocolate. Whoever does this has beautiful handwriting. It was a little cheesecake with some fresh berries with a candle in the middle. It was delicious. My son was happy. I chose this restaurant celebrate his birthday dinner. Our waiter pointed out. His name was on the menu. It said happy birthday Thomas at the top. He was able to take that put home with him for a souvenir. I know Hill definitely want to return next year. I think it’ll be sooner. My grandson has a birthday coming up October 2. I know he’ll wanna come for dinner here too.

Great experience! Steaks are delicious; melt in your mouth tender. I'd go back for the steaks alone. Lobster mac and cheese was really good, maybe a bit much in portion. Potato stack was phenomenal.

The experience was amazing. Our server Ashley was phenomenal. She was very upbeat, courteous and made the experience even better. Started with a pomegranate martini for the wife and a Rita rocks for myself, then we followed with the shrimp cocktail a house salad, and for the main course an 11oz filet with a lobster tail for each and finished with a delicious cheesecake.

My first time coming here. My roomates and I decided to come for Valentine's Day. Not knowing the menu too well I asked our waiter, Lou, all of his recommendations. I went with his choice of cocktail, steak and dessert and I was thoroughly pleased. His customer service was perfect. Thank you so much Lou!!

Oh my god I'm fat. Food is amazing. If you're a carnivore you can't beat this place period don't come here if you're looking to spend 20 bucks a person. It's about a hundred bucks a person but worth every penny. The steak is like butter in your mouth. If you want to freak out your doctor eat here and then go get your cholesterol checked. My favorite waiter is Zim.

My favorite steakhouse in LA. I took my partner for his bday and the servers and hosts made it so special. We ordered the tomahawk and it was the best piece of meat we’ve ever had. Their service was impeccable even though the restaurant was at capacity, and they gave my partner a birthday dessert. Loved it!

It was my daughters birthday. The steaks are beyond amazing. If you haven't been, it's the best steak ever!! When it's someone's birthday, they put their name in the menu. The staff is amazing, and very accommodating. They have moved from their original location, just down the street. It's much bigger and very nice.

Excellent service, excellent meal! My "cowboy" rib-eye steak was a real pleasure with a side of grilled asparagus! My wifes petite filet with garlic mash potatoes and my father in-laws sirloin with O'gratin potatoes was perfect! Rounding it all out with the sizzling crab cakes for app's an our salads were fresh an crisp. All in all, not to shabby 😉👌 Will be back again.

The service was fanatic and so was the food. The NY strip steak was better than expected, very tender and juicy. The fillet my wife had was fantastic and really tender. It was my 22 wedding anniversary and they served us a small cheesecake on the house. It was amazing. We also had the bread pudding. I highly recommend you try it. We had a few drinks and can recommend the blueberry mojito, very good. My wife had the Pina colada. Was fantastic. This was my first time eating here and would highly recommend to anyone. Great food, awesome service.

We always know to come here if we really want a special dinner with our family. The food is excellent in the service is superior especially when Marty is waiting on you. Appetizers calamari, stuffed mushrooms with crab meat add crab cakes were outstanding! You cannot order a bad steak in this restaurant and it is cooked to perfection. I had a wedge salad that was absolutely great and they offered to chop it up for me. We were celebrating my partners 76th birthday and our waiter brought numerous desserts. They are really far above other steakhouses. If you need a table in a quiet area of the restaurant let them know ahead of time. Also, you must try their sweet potato casserole we had never had anything like it and it was absolutely incredible we will order it every time we come here

Had a nice birthday dinner with my wife and mom. Welcomed with a Happy birthday menu insert. Our server Zim was excellent. Ask for him. He explained service style and a few options that were available. He was cordial amd attentive the whole experience. The women chose the prix fixed menu. Went with the same items, Caesar salad which generous and perfectly dressed. Both went with filet and shrimp combo. Cooked to their satisfaction. I stole my wife's shrimp. I went with the classic wedge salad. I like extra dressing onside which came out without asking again. I had the big T-bone with truffle crust. Awesome. Cooked perfect. Didn't eat it all because I wanted to have some for later. For sides dishes , we doubled on Brussel sprouts and had cheesy potatoes. For dessert I was presented with a happy birthday playe with there cheesecake. They went with the chocolate and a regular version. It was a great experience. I left 25% gratuity. Great dining experience regardless of my birthday. Definitely recommend.

When it comes to straight-up incredible food quality, this is THE place. Everything we had was exquisite, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. Service was warm, attentive, and spot-on from start to finish. Yes, we dropped $301 for two, but it was worth every single penny. Lately we’ve been to a bunch of spots that look stunning but serve disappointing food. Not here. If you want amazing steaks, great ambiance, and truly excellent service, Ruth’s Chris Steak House is the move. Hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Already looking forward to going back!

Ruth Chris is by far 1 of my favorite steak houses in all the lands. Their filet mignon is prepared so perfectly that it almost melts in your mouth. But it doesn’t. You actually get to taste it better and don’t feel like you just spent a bunch of money on a steak that just dissolved. It’s as close to a perfect steak I’ve ever tried. Awesome steak house. Their side dishes were incredible also.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Ruth’s Chris. The steak was cooked to perfection, the service was top-notch, and that cheesecake… unforgettable. Such a wonderful experience today. Zim, our waiter was fantastic. He went over the menu options and suggested so many great dishes including the best cuts of meats and how they should be prepared. He was kind, funny, and came to check on us whenever we needed him. I cannot rave enough about how great our experience was here. Not only was it a great date but it was also a fun evening thanks to Zim's wonderful sense of humor and attention to detail. Highly recommend and definitely returning to this location. 5 stars.

Great atmosphere and beautiful interior design. The location was once TGI Friday other than the water fountain and bar you would never had known. There is causal dining near the Bar with large TVs to watch sports or upscale dining area for that special celebration 🍾 with your love one. Compared to the previous location the seating at this location is much closer in their upscale section than I remember here in Los Angeles or in New Orleans. But overall the Staff was very friendly and the food was delicious.

My sister took me and my wife here to celebrate my late birthday dinner. I made reservation through OpenTable for today. The plaza where this restrauant is at is basically a ghost town because there only like 3 restrauant left here before they shut down. We arrived early so I checked in with the host and it took about 5ish minutes to be seated. The place is kind of outdated but we found out by our waiter that they will be moving to their new location within 6 days. Our waiter was Lars and he was amazing with us. My sister got her calamari and asked for the sauce to be on the side. My wife got the Sea Bass and asked for mushroom for her side. I went with the Bone In New York Steam and got fries on the side. They told me that the Bone in New York Steak come with a special knife so I get to choose which one I wanted. My sister friend got their Filet Mignon and shrimp. All of our food was delicious and I liked the seasoning on my NY steak. I would highly recommend coming here after they moved to their new location. My score: Food: 5 star, you cannot go wrong with any steak here and their seafood options are amazing. Service: 5 star, the customer service here are amazing as well since it's a luxury restaurant. All of the waiters are nice and will be attentive to your table. Parking: 5 star, you will not have any issues finding parking here since there only 3 restrauant left and everything else is closed. Atmosphere: 4 star, the place is outdated which is why they are finally moving to their new location.

My husband and I enjoy each time here. The service is great, The waitress are always checking, making sure you are well attended. The food is delicious, they give you great portions, and cocktails are fantastic. My favorite cocktail is “Gambling Old Fashioned”! This place gets busy, we come at 4pm and by the time we where leaving it was almost 100% occupied. There is free open parking lot, and they have a nice dining outside seating.

Follow up 02/08/25: Changing my review from 2 stars to 4. We just gave this location another try for a birthday celebration and everything was perfect -- 5 stars. Great food and excellent, polite, and attentive service from Dajah. Seems our visit in 2024 was in fact an off night (or an off waiter). 5 stars this time, 2 last time. Original 2-star review: I'm hoping it was an off Saturday night. We didn't even realize they had moved. The old location, to us, felt more like a cozy, upscale old-school steak house (think Sinatra). The atmosphere at the new location is fine; very nice, nothing special. The food was on-point as always -- everything was very good. The issue -- the big issue -- was the absolutely awful service. Do I expect a little better service than a BJ's or Olive Garden? Umm, for $400 for three people, YES, I do. Our server was obviously overextended. It didn't seem to be his fault, but all our interactions were very hurried. The food runner brought our entrees and that was the last interaction we had with anyone for a while. At the beginning of the night I had told the waiter I was going to order a glass of wine with the food. Had to flag him down for that. He never even did the obligatory, "How's the food? Can I get you anything else?" Nope. No follow up at all. Not even a water refill. Our water and wine glasses were empty shortly after receiving our food and never refilled. At the end of the meal, just before getting the check, we asked if we could please have more water (forget about more wine). The waiter then said to me, "Your dinner came with a desert... do want that to-go, or...?" I think he could tell we'd had enough. He never bothered to ask if anyone else wanted desert, coffee, or anything. We felt like we were inconveniencing him, and I'm sorry but for $400 with tip, I expect more. I can make a really good steak at home (yes, Ruth's can make a better one). I'm willing to spend that much money on a special occasion for great service and an experience we can't get at home. We've always loved Ruth's; it's been our gold-standard for steakhouses. Again, the food was great, but I'm sure the next time it comes up everyone's going to say "Let's try someplace else". Don't think I'll want to roll the dice again anytime soon.

Got the Porterhouse to share with my girlfriend (also learned what a porterhouse was; tbone cut with filet mignon on one side and ribeye on the other). Filet side was FANTASTIC, however the ribeye was a bit more fatty than I'd like. And I know, I know, I know that it's supposed to be, but I literally couldn't even eat half of it because it was full of those kind of sinewy, hard-to-chew parts and lots of fat.. so in conclusion, I would 100% recommend the filet mignon over the ribeye. Still wanna try their top-dollar tomahawk steak, though! (Pictured: one of each side)

Altho the cost of steak by it self, are quite pricey, and the sides are charged separately...Ruth Chris steak house, was worth the dine. Loved it!! Service is good there, with the cost of dining...well it should be! We enjoyed a Ruth Chris prime steak, it was soo buttery, and best when cooked medium rare. It was just amazing!! Also the lamb chops were the perfect entree! With grilled buttery asparagus and the sweet potato casserole, it was just the best!! Definitely my favorite. Baked salmon entree and the 1/2 sea food tower, were good to. However, didn't care for the lobster bisque just not what I expected as far as flavor, nor the bbq shrimp over mash. Not the type of bbq shrimp I expected to eat but was still somewhat tasty. The food is pretty well served, easily share for two. Anyway, thank you Ruth Chris, for a delicious evening.

We recently visited the new location on Father’s Day. It was our first time back since they moved locations. We loved the old location and were not crazy about the new spot on Canoga. The entire ambience changed and not for the better. Typically, I wouldn’t complain about a bright ambience however it’s hard not to compare it to the old location which had a very distinct dark environment that just felt right. The old location was also a very open concept. This new spot is very boxed in, and you could feel it as soon as you walked in and started towards your table. Other than that, the food and service were fantastic. I could be wrong, but it felt like the prices had also increased as for a party of 4 with two adults and two children (and no alcohol) the bill ran me nearly $500 for 3 entrees, a kids meal, a few sides and a couple desserts. It was well worth it but definitely noticeably higher than the last time we were there. So it cost me roughly $125 per person. Another thing I was disappointed about was when making the reservation, I included the check mark box for celebrating a birthday. I thought it was standard industry service to provide a child a free ice cream (or different dessert) on a birthday and have the waiters sing. I also thought I’d seen this happen at previous visits to Ruth’s Chris, but we got no such thing. They dropped a couple of happy birthday pieces of confetti on the table when we were seated and only after the bus boy asked if we were celebrating anything besides Father’s Day. That was it. Our waiter acknowledged by 9 year olds birthday by saying happy birthday and made a couple birthday references throughout our meal, but other than that there was nothing. This kind of took me by surprise. I was also charged for the very small ice cream he ordered. It was a disappointing end to our experience considering such an expensive meal. They could do better in that regard. Also, what’s the point in having a customer check mark a box for a celebration when making reservations if you’re not even going to be aware of the celebration upon checking in? Definitely lackluster service in that regard. Other than that, as I said, the food was fantastic and we had a very nice Father’s Day/ birthday meal. My birthday boy loved his steak and ice cream. Not sure this would be our go to steakhouse anymore for the reasons mentioned above. Morton’s in Burbank and Larsens near where we live are both comparable options and they have an old school ambient atmosphere that we really liked at the former location of Ruth’s Chris. So in the future, we may opt to skip this spot.

Still a solid choice for Happy Hour! I recommend the seared tuna, crispy shrimp and filet sandwich (Bernaise on the side)

We usually get there early because you get better service. Food is good and tasty. Love their cheesecake is one of my fav. Items on the menu. Make sure you make reservations if you're planning on going 😉

Still a great steakhouse staple. Maybe dropped just a bit of their mojo over years past. In particular, they discontinued their signature lobster bisque, and while the waiter had an explanation of “the difficulty in preparing” I think the chain just misses one of their signature dishes. Steaks good, but missing that extra “pop” from years ago. A good place to celebrate, but they have much more quality competition than when they first opened decades ago.

Always good to have happy hour. Staff attentive to your needs. Didn't care to much for the meatballs, but everything else was awesome and loved the shrimp appetizer,

My spectacular husband took me out for a special birthday dinner. This was our 1st visit to Ruth's Chris Steak House and I must say, the exterior of this establishment is quite deceiving. It's located at a run down mall. The plants outside are hanging on for dear life. We found the interior of the steak house to be a bit swankyer than expected. There were signs posted everywhere about their "business casual" dress code, stating NO sleevless shirts, tank tops, ball caps or offensive clothing permitted yet COUNTLESS patrons were dressed all schlempy which cheapened our experience 😂 Drinks were boozy. I had the blueberry mojito which was crisp and refreshing. The man ordered the old fashioned and found it tasty. Now for the food. We ordered the spicy shrimp appetizer which were absolutely delicious but should not have the word "spicy" anywhere in the description. Followed by a crisp cesar salad, then the surf & turf combo. Steak was tender, lobster was succulent. Finished off with coffee and bread pudding desert. Aside from the dilapidated exterior and lax dress code, this place was pretty good. We'll definitely celebrate a few more special occasions here.

Look out for a price fixed menu that is not widely publicized. Most of the food was hot but my shrimp was cold. Need more light, it's too dark. Service a bit slow and it was a Wednesday. We were there for a birthday.

The steak was delicious, and the salads were tasty as well. Our table was next to the window, which made it a bit cold, but the server informed us that there was nothing they could do about it. While the price was relatively high, I believe the service could be significantly improved.

Ruth Chris was very busy so we had to sit at the bar. We got there about 8:00PM. The bar area was crowded but a nice couple moved over so we can fit in The food was Absolutely AMAZING. I had the Lamb, and my wife had the Stuffed Chicken with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. It was seasoned very well. The food was hot and very Good. We will be coming back to five a review on their service next time. Enjoy Ruth Chris Steal House.

I am conflicted. They have changed their menu and suddenly the sides are very sub par. We had the new onion rings to start (we LOVED the zucchini fries the used to serve) and they were awful. They literally just had no flavor. So disappointing. We decided to try the meatballs, which by the description on menu sounded like an Italian type app, but was more disappointed than we were with the onion rings. The meatballs I would BET $1000 are scraps from steak trimmings…..super oily and very little flavor. We ate 1 each and we were done. Absolutely can’t be the recipe…they must have forgot something - no way these were green lit by executive chef. We each had a petit filet. NOW THOSE WERE GOOD OLD RUTH CHRIS quality!!! Excellent no one does steak better. I can’t say the same about the potatoes au gratin which we each had a bite of and then left those as well. They were so oily we couldn’t eat them and literally were potatoes soaked in plain cheddar. Actually they were awful. WHAT HAPPENED TO RC? It’s like they have thrown in the towel on everything but the steak. All the sides were extremely SUB PAR. Nice wait staff but it wasn’t super busy and we had to “”excuse me can I get …” for everything. We sat at the bar and they were super nice but not attentive at all.

We had not been to the new site yet and were looking forward to it. We were pretty surprised at how noisy it was. We had to yell at each other to be heard. Our waiter was terrible. He asked if we wanted anything to start and disappeared as the bread was being placed on the table. We thought he was backing away for the server, but he didn't come back for about 10 minutes. When he did, he took our drink and food order and disappeared again. The food arrived, we had no plates for the side orders. He finally came and placed them and walked away before we noticed it was him and he was too far away to get his attention. We asked another server if our drinks were coming and he said yes, they'd be here any minute. Halfway through our meal, the waiter approached, he was going to ask how the meal was and I saw him realize he hadn't served our drinks. He immediately went away and came back with them, the ice was almost completely melted. He didn't acknowledge his mistake at all and disappeared. We didn't see him again until he tried to put the dessert menu down, but he wasn't even looking at us, he was looking at another table. I told him no thanks, we were done and off he went again. On the flip side, he was very attentive to the tables around us. He served 3 drinks to the guy next to me before we got our single serving. The table next to us on the other side had a bad time, the guy's lobster tail was dropped on the table and his steak was completely forgotten about. It was finally served after his date was finished with her meal. The manager gave them dessert for free because of the issues. The lady said they'd never be back, she smiled at me and said, "just not worth it, is it?" as they left. The food was good, the steaks were a bit fatty, but still delicious. We also had potatoes and creamed spinach. Both were very good. The drinks were not great, but that's not the bar's fault, that's on the waiter. I doubt we'll be back. For $130+ per person, there are nicer, quieter, classier places in the area. (Btw, bringing back some kind of dress code should be considered. There were women wearing pajama pants and bedroom slippers. Everyone was dressed like they were going to Home Depot)

Most unfriendly, unwelcoming place and unreasonably expensive; 16 ounce, $82 stake served in small oval plate which made it hard to cut but at least it was cooked to perfection and tasted good!, $14 baked potato suppose to be loaded and missing the chives, $16 ceazar salad was good, no garnishments, coffee served warm and hard to get the server attention they pass by you and don't even look at you to check on you. I don't mind an expensive dinner but cold and not greeting staff I take personal! Last time for me to go this restaurant.

Normally when we visit Ruth Chris is to Celebrate a birthday or special occasion, but we wanted to have a dinner lunch at 12 noon on Christmas day. Unfortunately I think the top Chef was not there. To start, the salads were perfect. I had the Caesar salad with my wife was having the wedge salad. No complaints. Also the service is always good, but when it came to the main entree, my NY strip steak had no taste and was like a piece of rubber. Photo attached. Also my cousin had crab 🦀 cakes because she was not that hungry for a steak. Big mistake, they were awful. I'm not to upset, but I expect to have a good steak prepared at an upscale restaurant like Ruth Chris. We'll be back, but not on Christmas day!

Tasty but overpriced. While I do appreciate the very hot plates, I think I can grill a filet just as well, and for a fraction of the price. It was fine once, but unless someone else is paying, I won’t be going there again.

I went on a solo date because i was craving their mac and cheese real bad. So i ordered the lobster mac and cheese, along with their steak 3 course special. Unfortunately, the pasta was undercooked and hard. I tried to eat it anyway, and later that night I became very sick and ended up projectile vomiting the few pieces of raw pasta that i ate along w my whole meal. It may have been my fault because i did modify it at the last minute. So the chef probably had to remake it and rushed it. :/🤒🤒 I was literally sucking the cheese off the pasta and picking the hard pasta out my mouth. I was still hungry at the end. Wish i could had filled up on my mac. I usually devour more than half of it. I didnt know i could upgrade my steak from 8oz to 11oz, i thought the special only included the 8oz. I didnt see that option on the menu. But i see it here online under the same deal. My waitress Cynthia got too comfortable sitting down at my table to take my order. At the end on my 3rd cup of coffee i recieved a weak brew. I asked for a stronger brew. She came back with half a cup of coffee which made me feel wierd. Like as of she wanted me to leave and not take too long. I felt rushed. Was missing utensils as well. Had to go from stirring hot coffee to my ice cream. I also had to box my leftovers which is unusual for this restaurant The atmosphere is 2 stars because besides the waitress getting too comfortable. The table next to me were talking crap judging my service dog and i. I could clearly over hear them since i was right next to them. They were a group of about 8/10. They had a noisy kid w them that kept yelling and getting out her chair and getting in the way of the waiters. While my little dog was well behaved under the table just observing quietly. I usually go to the marina del rey location, now i know not to switch. Theyre also very friendly over there. AT THIS LOCATION THE HOSTS DONT EVEN SMILE Ps, I did record my vomit from that night to prove that i did get sick and was barfing out raw undigested pasta. Which sucks because the meal over all was very delicious

Visited last night for a birthday dinner and service fell extremely flat. Our server was absent the majority of our meal (it was Monday aka slow) and we approached the manager two separate times yet service did not improve. In fact, after giving the manager feedback, it seemed that caused our server to stay away longer. Not once did our server acknowledge or apologize for his absence. They upgraded our dessert size as a remedy, which was the least they could do. The only redeeming quality of this place is their food.

Not great. Morton’s would be a better recommendation. Old Ruth Chris was better

Food and Atmosphere was amazing! Although, service was horrible, got there 9 minutes before our 6:00 reservation and got seated right away but didn’t get our order taken until 6:30! Hardly ever got acknowledged and people who came after left way before us. Literally was about to leave because this was the worst service we ever received. Our server (Jarred) was friendly but paid more attention to everyone else around except for our table, very very BAD SERVICE!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HAPPY HOUR MENU?!!?! Let me just start with- service and steaks has always always been amazing. But…the happy hour seared tuna and the happy hour rocks rita… where did it go?!? Don’t know why that amazing menu changed?! It’s a bummer cause there are no good happy hour places in that area or areas near by. It was a great deal with no compromise to the quality of food. That’s rare in the valley. This new menu offers fried onion rings…? Meatballs…??? What?!!? Why are there meatballs?! Doesn’t make sense. Nor do the truffle fries… Plus! there’s no fresh/slightly healthy option. Disappointing. Also, not sure if it matters but I did NOT get anything off their “prime hour” menu. Just the burger and a glass of water. So I spent waaaayyyy less. Nothing looked happy anymore. Maybe that’s the trick. They want people to order off the regular menu?? I’m sorry to leave this kind of review, but it was disappointing.

I visited Ruth’s Chris Steak House for a solo dinner, specifically craving their lobster mac and cheese, and ordered it alongside the steak three-course special. Unfortunately, the mac and cheese was noticeably undercooked—the pasta was firm to the point of being hard. I attempted to eat it, but later that evening I became very ill, which I suspect may have been linked to the dish. I had modified the order at the last minute, so it’s possible the kitchen rushed the remake, but regardless, the execution was disappointing. The cheese sauce was flavorful, but the pasta texture made the dish nearly inedible, and I left still hungry. I also wasn’t informed that the steak portion could be upgraded from 8 oz to 11 oz as part of the special. I didn’t see this option on the in-restaurant menu and only discovered it later online, which felt like a missed opportunity for upselling and guest guidance. Service was inconsistent. My server, Cynthia, sat down at my table to take my order, which felt overly familiar for a fine-dining setting. After requesting a stronger coffee, I was brought only half a cup, which gave the impression that I was being subtly rushed. Utensils were missing, and I had to switch between stirring hot coffee and eating dessert with the same spoon. I was also asked to box my own leftovers, which is unusual for a restaurant at this price point. The atmosphere was also lacking. Nearby guests made disparaging remarks about my service dog, which was quietly resting under the table, while their own child was disruptive and moving around the dining area. The hosts were not particularly warm or welcoming, which contrasted sharply with my experiences at the Marina del Rey location, where the staff is consistently friendly and attentive. While the flavors were generally good, the undercooked pasta, service lapses, and uncomfortable dining environment significantly detracted from what should have been a polished fine-dining experience.

I had invited some important business partners to Ruth’s Chris for a special occasion, and everything was going well until our server, Tristan, returned to the table with the bill I had just paid and questioned the tip amount. He even pointed out the percentage he expected — in front of my guests. Unfortunately, this was a very unprofessional experience and not what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber.

Over the last 30 years we have frequented many locations of Ruth's Chris steak houses. THIS ONE IS BY FAR THE WORST. While the food was good, the service was HORRIBLE. I do not appreciate a waiter with a questionable sense of humor tossing my check on my table and never saying thank you for your patronage. I can get this type of service down the street at Denny's. This location will, in time, go the way of the previous tenant (TGIF) and go under. If you want a meal at a Ruth's Chris, try one of their other locations -- they are ALL MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCES -- Beverly Hills, Marina Del Rey or Pasadena. The "response" from "the owner" is very misleading to the public and anyone that might pay attention to this complaint. In fact, I had already heard from the "owner" in late December that they would look into my complaint and get back to me...now they are requesting my contact info. Frankly, I am done with Ruth's Chris. While I originally felt that this problem was isolated to their Woodland Hills location, perhaps that was wrong.

Great food highly recommended for cowboy rib-eyes steaks and I highly recommend you add the garlic crust it’s to die for. Butter and garlic crust on steak is amazing. It’s a amazing restaurant but the policy about dressing is horrible they only enforce on Certain people it’s insulting to certain people don’t recommend it. people wore shorts and baseball hats and we are asked to remove our hats as others weren’t it’s only business causal to most of people they don’t enforce on certain people for some reason. I don’t recommend this location for the service, the managers, or the policy enforcement at this Ruth Chris it upset our whole party. They also wouldn’t replace the white chocolate with regular even when asking in advance for regular chocolate because someone is allergic to white chocolate in my party. the signature bread pudding seems to be imported or something. They ended up giving us a chocolate duo for dessert which was okay, I recommend for overall food and experience you go else where, unless you prefer better food and a horrible experience with policies and the manager hounding you over a dress code on a baseball hat instead of other people who where shorts and baseball hats and backpacks while eating.
