Glad I chose to come here. Chef told me new ownership took over about a month ago. I had also been there before and it’s always been a good experience. Prices are what you expect to pay for quality sushi in the Los Angeles area. There’s no way around it. I want to point out Mateo (the host and waiter) gave really good vibes and welcoming attitude. I was happy to leave a tip. Sushi was good as always. Recommend yellowtail. The garlic edamame seems almost buttery and addicting. I forgot to tell them to make it spicy version.

Loved this place. The atmosphere was great, choices of a booth or the sushi bar, which both are nice and clean. Service, was great they were nice and helpful with any questions or suggestions Food, was great, I tried their chefs special the dragon ballz which was great, in my pictures it's the with flower looking piece. Also had the desert Crispy Haven which was a treat. Overall, loved this place.

This was a good find! I happen to get over here during the week. The sushi chef "Ken" was entertaining very talkative and a great sushi chef. It was a nice relaxing evening the place wasn't too crowded parking was easy and the mail for two of us was around $100. I will go back! They had a very nice variety of rolls. The albacore spicy sashimi was delicious.

The sushi was delicious with beautiful presentation, and everything was very clean. The staff were extremely friendly, and the edamame was also very tasty

Cozy, classy interior with amazing staff and great food. Their rolls and uncommon variants of it are both tasteful and aesthetically pleasing. The price can be a bit expensive but servings are generous - great for dining with a group or a companion.

Excellent place for sushi - the individual pieces of eel, salmon, yellowtail, and tuna were great. The flavors are elevated and service was fast.

Great experience very friendly staff ready to meet your every need. Came here with my gym league basketball team, go team yellow(if you know you know) and we had a blast drinking miso soup and diving down on some fantastic rolls. So yummy and also delicious will definitely be recommending this to the pickle ball fellas!

Delicious, fresh, well prepared sushi in all forms with very kind staff. Better than most of the best in Chicago. Try the riceless rolls and you won't be disappointed. The one place - over several others - I will seek out the next time I am in LA!

Just a heads up Brings something to cover yourself if you tend to get cold fast, This is my Favorite place to go on a date with my girl, to take out, food is amazing, well prepared, well served, great portions, specials are rarely difficult to miss. it's a very open concept but the sitting near the windows with the sofas are enough private to enjoy a date but not too close to hide.

My husband and I tried Tomoya Sushi in Woodland Hills for the first time to celebrate his birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised! The presentation of the food was absolutely beautiful — every dish looked like it was crafted with care. The portion sizes were more than generous, which made it feel like such a great value on top of everything tasting fresh and delicious. Our server, Peggy, was attentive and personable, and she really helped make the experience special. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We frequent this sushi place and always receive great service. The quality of the fish and the flavors are excellent. We ordered takeout this time and were pleasantly surprised—it was just as good at home as it is in the restaurant. We highly recommend it! Marcus & Chandra

This has been a favorite sushi restaurant of ours for several years. We tried the amberjack sashimi and it was fantastic! Their rolls, appetizers, variety of sushi, and hot dishes are delicious. Services excellent and our waiter was fantastic

*This is NOT an all you eat sushi place * Fun sushi spot with lots of sushi and a few non sushi items. It’s definitely a little bit more on the pricier side than other sushi places in town but you can’t go wrong with the fresh fish. I got the crunchy shrimp tempura roll and it was delicious. I love the eel sauce it comes with. We got a couple other sushi’s to try. They have some great non rice sushi options as well. I deducted one star for service. I had to ask for soy sauce twice and a glass of water twice before it was given to me. We had about three different waiters so I’m not sure if it all got mixed in between the people switching out but service is an area of improvement. I love the ambiance of this spot. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

I made a mistake in submitting my review of Tomaya. The information below is for Yomato in Stevenson Ranch, CA. NOT for Tomaya in Woodland Hills, CA. Please take this to heart. Tomaya has been reviewed by me before. That review is different. The information below should NOT be for the Woodland Hills, CA restaurant. The best thing I can say about this restaurant is about the server, Donay. She was so attentive to my colleague and me. She made us feel as though we were celebrities. The food was good. Not exceptional but still refreshing. The meat dish tasted good but a tad tough The atmosphere was ok. Furniture and ambience is dated. The wood deck outside had almost half of the entire deck color peeling terribly . I was surprised by the headress of a staff member who dressed up in a comical way. guess it's cultural but it fell flat. Another staff member was banging on a gong to emphasize the celebration. It was too loud and annoying.

I really like the food, atmosphere, and service here. This place is in an unassuming location in woodland hills, not far from westfield mall, and across the st. from a business park. Food is always delicious, and and a good place for a lunch. Thank you for the friendly service and food. ❤️

I'm happy there is a good kid friendly sushi location within driving distance. Great fresh cuts and filling portion sizes are reasons for my repeat visits. I have yet to try something I didn't like. Though there are two favorites, the Mexican Samurai Roll and the JJ Roll, are outstanding. Servers are incredibly attentive and friendly. Dishes were picked up seconds after finishing them. Unfortunately, during my last visit, I kept seeing others order food that seemed more delicious than ours, over and over again. If that happens again, I'll have to push myself to ask "what was that dish?"

Great food, super fresh fish. We lost our server about halfway thru our meal, she just stopped coming back and no one picked us up. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

We used to really love this sushi place, especially the Godfather roll. Unfortunately, their recipes have changed and so has the management. It no longer feels like a Japanese restaurant and now has more of a Mexican food vibe. The last time we went, everything was very disappointing and the food quality was not good at all.
