I’m not even joking;you’d never guess how good the food is just by looking at this place from the outside. I ordered the truffle pasta and the bistec over rice, and both were absolutely amazing and super filling. The customer service was also top-tier—the staff was patient, welcoming, and gave great recommendations. And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying their desserts. The tres leches was so good!
The food was delicious and staff were so kind! I had a great breakfast for a good price and was able to locate Bibingka which i havent seen since returning from Cebu. Certainly will be returning here.
I was looking for some filipino pastries to take home before my flight and i saw this bakery. I tried their ube latte and spanish bread. I RECOMMEND their pastries, its so good ! Reminds me of homme in the Philippines. They also have filipino breakfast which i havent tried but im sure ill be back to try some
I recently visited Tagpuan NYC (70-06 Roosevelt Ave, Jackson Heights, NY 11372), a top-notch Filipino bakery in NY. They offer a wide variety of bread, pastries, and hot meals. I opted for their pastries and was blown away by the flavors, particularly the Ube Flan. This place is a must-visit, and I'm already looking forward to trying more of their dishes, including Lechon Kawali Over Rice and Kare-Kare Over Rice. #tagpuan #filipinofood #onlyinqueens
The jasmin mango tea & the pandan coco milk tea are DELICIOUS, not too sweet. The ube pastries are fresh and high quality. The whole place is friendly, quiet, and clean. A gem.
It's worth every penny. I love the ambiance. Different food options every Sunday.
Authentic Filipino Brunch Worth the Trip! Tagpuan on Roosevelt Avenue is a hidden gem when it comes to Filipino brunch. Let me start by saying — yes, parking is practically non-existent, and yes, there may be a short wait even with a reservation (especially for large parties like ours). But honestly? Totally worth it. We had a reservation for a big group and even though the staff was a few minutes behind, they were accommodating and welcoming. There’s a 1-hour time limit for the buffet, which might seem short at first glance, but it’s actually more than enough. Once you see the spread and taste the food, it makes perfect sense — the value is incredible. The flavors are on point and truly authentic. This is the first Filipino spot I’ve been to where I didn’t walk away thinking, “I could’ve just made this at home.” Filipinos know what I mean. But Tagpuan really delivers — it felt like a celebration of our food, and I left full, happy, and impressed. The wait and parking struggle? Minor inconveniences for food this good. I’ll definitely be back.
Long live longanisa I could eat that everyday, great food
Very friendly service, excellent donuts, and nice cheesecakes

Best coffee, homemade croissants, and friendly staff. I usually visit this place in the morning. I’ve been coming here for a long time, even back when it was called French Toast in Pasta. Now, it’s known as Tagpuan. The place is neat and clean, so I highly recommend it to customers.
Normally I leave yelp reviews but they didn't have a yelp I could leave a review at (my yelp is Matt A. if yall do make one!) So I've been here once and a friend dropped off a cake for a birthday the other time I had stuff here. Honestly the bakery section was a 10/10 I was so impressed with the quality of baked goods coming out. The service was very kind and welcoming as well. Please come here keep this place open
Best Pandesal in NYC!! Even at room top before heating up it’s soft and fluffy and then you heat it up and you it’s a total flashback to getting a fresh one in at a pandesalan in the Philippines at 6am
Love the buffet! Came straight from my overnight shift and the food was worth losing sleep over. Will definetely come back to try the regular menu dish.
Their spaghetti is so good. Meaty and saucy! Love their Pandan Milktea, too! Highly recommended 💯
So good! Are you guys still on open?
One of my favorite Filipino small business bakeries in Woodside. They are just a block away from the 7 train and are open pretty late. They have a variety of house-made pastries including silvanas, ensaymada, sio pao and other delicious classics. I especially recommend their pork siopao! I don't know what it is but the pork reminds me of lechon baboy. They also serve coffee and other drinks as well as brunch. The staff are very nice and accommodating as well.

Great bakery goods, great halo halo, and great coffee drinks. It’s a shame because they advertise being open at 7 AM, however everyday without fail at 7:05 to 7:10 the lights are on with a CLOSED sign. I would buy coffee here every morning on my way to the subway but due to not being open at 7 AM ever, I’m forced to buy from other vendors.

Very clean. Pleasant staff. The Bulares was a miss for me. Delicious broth but the meat was tough. I was expecting quality cut melt in your mouth beef meat.

I was honestly debating on whether or not to leave this review because this is my first that I will leave a review like this. Also, this is not to spread hate but in order to let this cafe/bakery/ restaurant improve more. First things first, the food here was great, no doubt about that. It was slightly on the pricier side and my food had a few egg shells on it but I was okay with that. However, there were a few things I was displeased about. We were a group of 5 dining in and also had some to go orders. We order 1 sweet longsilog, 2 garlic longsilog, 1 tocilog, 1 sisig over rice, 1 kare kare over rice and an ube latte. Then for to go, I ordered 1 tapsilog, 1 sisig over rice and 1 truffle pasta. I know that was a lot of orders so we were patiently waiting. We had received 1 sweet longsilog first after a few minutes of ordering. Then what we were confused about is that we got the 1 tapsilog and 1 sisig over rice to go first. However, we still patiently waited. After a several minutes, we got only 1 order of the garlic longsilog. And more minutes later we got our truffle pasta for to go once again. So we were puzzled that they gave us to go orders which was ordered after the dine in orders. Then minutes later we received the sisig over rice. At this point this was almost the 40 minute mark waiting for the orders and we only got 3/6 orders. This is the time we asked to follow up politely because we’re waiting for too long. Then what made us mad was that there were groups of people coming in and few minutes later they got their orders first than us who was waiting for such a long time. Almost 1 hour we finally got 1 order of garlic longsilog but no tocilog and kare kare on sight. This is where we had enough of waiting. We complained and asked for a refund. They stated that kare kare was done and they were just putting it in the container so they only refunded us the tocilog order. So I questioned myself, so for that 1 hour the tocilog was never cooked or prepared?! And even if they said that kare kare was ready it was definitely not that we even waited 5-10 minutes for it.. I wish we had spoken to the manager right away but it didn’t cross our minds after reviewing what happened at home. I know they were apologizing and I also even did because I know they are busy and I know how it feels but nothing was done. No one spoke to us clearly and one even yelled to understand them since there were a lot of orders. We definitely did that is why we waited more than 1 hour for our orders and only complained that time when we saw people who ordered way after us got their orders (even if it was the same longsilog which we were waiting for previously). I wish they prioritized the people who ordered first and made sure their order was complete after moving to another customer. This is what I want them to improve on.

I see this restaurant every time I go to Phil-Am store so I gave it a try. the first time I went I was impressed with the cleanliness and brightness of the place. It felt refreshing to see a "starbuck-y" type of place in the neighborhood. I sat at one of the tables and looked at their menus which intriguing enough to try. I sat there for 15 minutes until I realized none of their wait staff will ever going to approach me as I observed that all the wait staff keep themselves look busy by moving items such as pastries from one corner to another. I left that day without being served. I found myself again in the same "bakery" the next weekend and experienced basically the same thing---I sat there for 15 minutes, someone gave me a menu but never came back to take my order. the staff were running around looking busy but all I see is staff moving around pastries but no one seems to take orders from customers so I left. After a few weeks I decided to go there again as I saw their sign outside for new dishes and it looked very appetizing. This time I did get served by a wait staff. The young woman was not experienced with the menu and lacks proper training. She offered me some "tissue" instead of "napkins" which I found to ba unappetizing to say. I ordered the arroz caldo and tokwa at baboy. She came back to me saying they don't have tokwat baboy. I changed my order to lechon kawali which they had. It was not good at all--- the serving was small and the taste was bland. Although this place had the right Idea in mind, its still has to work on this menu and of course, good customer service.
