I got my Xmas tree here for second time. Beautiful trees, great selection, very good service. Jack's burgers in the summer are the best around of course.

Absolutely delicious. Very friendly staff, very quick, and VERY cheap. 4 burgers for ten bucks is not bad at all. Give it a visit if it's warm out.

The dude who took my entire family's order memorized everything and did a fantastic job. Our order was pretty much right except we ended up with a fry order with ketchup that nobody ordered! It was hot back there for the kitchen staff so I made sure I tipped everyone working!!food was good but the mini hot dog rolls were hard in some spots probably from sitting out in air.

Has become my new spot once a week. Consistency seems to be most important these days. That is these guys. If you like sliders , this is the place. If you like hot dogs that are made right down the street, this is it!

My boyfriend and I have been going to Jack's for a few years now and we love it. (I always get my burger with onions on it) We like the food and enjoy sitting at the picnic tables in the Summer. The staff are nice and have never gotten our orders wrong even with a long line of people to serve. If you're looking for a simple (kinda greasy but not in a super bad way) burger and fries, this is a nice place to visit.

You have to love Jacks if you can appreciate the nostalgia and the greasy goodness of a roadside hamburger stand. Definitely worth a stop if you are craving all the staples (thick milkshakes, hand cut fries) for an excellent price and speedy quick.

Best sliders anywhere. Prices are reasonable. I'm an old timer so I still kinda miss the carhops, but the service at the window is usually pretty quick. Overall a fine experience.

Childhood memories are my main reason for loving the place, but that doesn't mean they don't serve great milkshakes and burgers, especially considering the price! They are exactly what they claim to be, nothing more and nothing less. It's a very legitimate experience and I love it, but that doesn't mean that everyone will.

Love jacks little burgers smothered in caramelized onions. Minis with the works are good too. Went there ate 2 burgers and 4 minis. Then grabbed another burger for the road. Its a greasy spoon and an institution in Rensselaer county. Love it.

Jack's drive in has been servi great burgers for many years. The burgers are smothered with onions and cheese. They are nit only a delicious treat but take care of your huger as well. The fries are great as well.

I can't remember a time when I didn't look forward to this place opening in the spring. A local favorite for as long as I can remember. And mind you, in 112 years old! Very short very simple menu. Very affordable and very good. It's one of those places that if it ever went away there will be a hole in that town that won't be easy to fill.

Tried one of their full size hot dogs with mustard onions and meat sauce. The best.

We took a beautiful ride to Jack's with Tiger our dog the food was excellent, service great and the prices were so reasonable. Deserving a 5 STAR rating, also the picnic tables were very clean!

Whenever we get the free time, me and babes take the time to visit jacks every time, it's worth the trip to wynantskill......shoot I'm dying for some Jacks right now 😭😭

In town for a wedding and the groom recommended Jacks. Did not disappoint! Great flavor, portion size was perfect, and staff was A+! In a time of saturation of phones and screen time and technology, this eatery was a breath of fresh air that took us back to the good old days! Thank you Jacks!

Always a good cheap place to bring the family or to stop in for a quick lunch by yourself. I always get the cheeseburgers with onions and catsup and they have tasted the same for years.

Always delicious!!! I was thrilled they were open this early in the year. I only called because I realized the temperature was over 60° and I got so excited when they answered!!! I brought it home but I also love eating at their picnic tables when it's warmer. Never disappointed!

One of those greasy small burger, fries, sofa and sit at a picnic table type of food stand. Order one or two burgers and the burger is served with grilled onions and a dollop of ketchup. Just fun non healthy eating! Do NOT tell your Dr you eat here lol. Very fun.

Hope you like fried onions! These steamed hams are a juicy treat every time. Try the cheese fries. Mini hot dogs are also a treat, secret menu item: you can get cheese on them!

Everytime you go, you can expect the same quality. It's nostalgic, it's quick fun family apot to get burgers/dogs and fries together. There sliders are their trademark. Always a must have I'm the summertime. Highly recommend

Oh, my, the cheeseburgers with the most perfect caramelized onions stacked high on top makes for one delicious take out burger. The fries were crispy and lightly salted.

None better in Wynantskill. Small dogs and hotdog sauce was excellent. Sliders were all the best. Stop here for lunch when ever I am near here. Will worth the trip if close.

Of all the quick drive up hot dog and burger joints, this may be my favorite. I know that people have their neighborhood favorites like Mike's and Gus's, but Jack's was a notch better. I had a bite of their hot dog with the works and a cheeseburger. Both very good, hot and balanced ingredients. The young man at the window was very accommodating. Big Plus, they have banana shakes. If they were dead even, that would put them over for me. They have outside seating and it is a nice small town. Try this place out.

We love Jack's! Always has that great slider flavor year after year. I even picked up a Jack's shirt too ! Love sitting out on their covered picnic tables.

Always a classic. A nice place to go with family and enjoy the sun with the outdoor seating. They don't have many food options, but the ones they do have are quality. I love the onions that are served on the burgers and would get them on everything if I could. When I went around 5:30 pm on a Tuesday and there was no line, but I have gone on the weekend in the past and the line is a bit longer. The service is fast so it goes by pretty quickly.

I grew up in this area, and Jack's has forever been a staple. I vacationed from Florida and had to stop. I ordered almost $100 worth of food to bring to my sister's and did not wait more than between 5 and 10 minutes. Thank you for the great food and service for so many years!

Returned the Jack's 43 years later. They are incrediable and still taste as good as they did when I left the area 42 years ago

The young people that work behind the counter are always polite and courteous. April 13, 2025 update: they are open!! Limited menu, but real good for what it is! Will you get lettuce and tomato? No. Will you get the experience of a bunch of sliders made in the jack's drive in style? Yes. People go here after baseball games. You stand in line and order, then pay, then they give you your food on a tray to eat at a picnic table. Or you get it in a super greasy paper bag, old school. It's not open in winter, but is open in March! Good stuff!

It is a great place for a quick cheap and delicious lunch or dinner. It's been there all my life, always stuck to their values and served the best food they can. If you prefer a quiet visit I recommend going for lunch on weekdays, or when the weather isn't the best. The community is absolutely wonderful when people are there, and if you're open to it, you'll probably have a good conversation.

A little off the beaten path, this place is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Surrounded by nature, it offers a bit of quiet as you sit at picnic style tables to indulge your hunger for burgers, fries, hotdogs and shakes! I’d only been here one time before and recall the burgers being almost slider size. To my surprise they’ve either gotten larger OR my eyes finally adjusted to reality. Regardless, they are pretty amazing! The cheeseburgers are loaded with sautéd onions, which I enjoyed very much (until I put my mask on), and are very flavorful. I also ordered the loaded fries, which were loaded with a chili that was very delicious! I recommend stopping for a bit at Jacks after a long day of doing chores, because it’s going to feel amazing to treat yourself to such an amazing meal! (And also if you can, have a milkshake- they’re super creamy and thick)

Limited menu. Only sliders, dogs, fries, shakes, and soda but all is done well and delicious. Chili (on the fries or dogs is top notch and the shakes are really thick. Service is excellent! Definitely recommended.

It's a legendary capital region summer hot spot! Quick serve burgers, fries & dogs. In the season lines form, but move quickly. If you are not from the area, the capital region is known for its mini dogs, some folks call them "Little Nippers" , i.e. named after the little nipper dog of Albany that's actually 3 stories high (that's called irony). Albany is home to the World's Largest Nipper Statue Anyway, get a couple of lil'nippers loaded. Seasonal place so get'em while you can.

Love this place. It is defiantly a staple of the community. You know it opens when you can smell all the food when walking into Hannaford a little down the road. They can take like 20 people in line, take all the orders at once and then not actually mess up any of the orders. That's talent. They are get in, get out place and the real definition of fast food. The price is a little high but other than that it's amazing.

Get the sliders! The mini's were very good , except the roll was a bit dry. Dot not leave without getting an order of the loaded fries! They are spicy and cheesy! This would be five stars if the fires were hotter.

Jack's drive-in is a solid place for quick and easy sliders on the go. I was there for their 75th anniversary celebration and I clearly how they've stayed in business for so long: fast and friendly services. The sliders were okay, but what took it to the next level were the caramelized onions. Do not skip the onions! If you're hesitant, ask for it on the side. Additionally, I enjoyed their cheese fries. It's bound to cure any hangover or the gluttony in you. Non-greasy fries covered with perfectly melted cheese wiz. Oh yeah. With their shakes, it was a miss for me. I had the mocha flavored shake, yet, it tasted like diluted chocolate shake. Overall, Jack's drive-in delivers solid American sliders with a sense of community love on the side.

Good lunch out. Not regulars so was not prepared for ordering. Not a fan of not writing orders down. We ended up with an extra burger and a missing meat sauce on my hot dogs. The food was great, as I remembered. We had burgers, cheese fries, & mini hot dogs.

I love their mini hot dogs. This place must be pretty popular because theres always a line when we go by there. Kinda reminds me of Ted's fish fry (w/out the fish) & a Hot Dog Charlies.

Jack's is definitely a crowd pleaser. I live close to there and they definitely always have a line of customer's. Burger, mini dogs, and regular size hot dogs with fries and shakes. Not exactly a place to go if your watching your waist line, but definitely good for cheat or treat day.

First time to Jacks but was pleasantly surprised. The sliders tasted good and the fries were great. It was a good location for a motorcycle ride. The staff was friendly and very efficient. I will be back.

I started going to Jack's since the 60s. I live in Florida and each trip I go to Kay's Pizza, Famous Luncheon and Jack's. I was not impressed with Jack's as the burger had tons of onions and a small bit of meat, the dog is not as I recall but love the chocolate milk. Maybe a off day but think this will be a scratch my next trip to Nes York

Burger is very mushy, to much onions. Very over priced. Over 15 dollars for two cheese berger. Two small fries.

The food is served out of a small shack with a walk up window. It's clean looking and the food is FANTASTIC! They have great burgers, hot dogs with the works, fries with meat sauce and cheese and more. They have picnic tables in their seating area but I have only taking my food to go from there. My only complaint is that they put the food on a paper plate and then put that in a paper bag so when I get home the cheesy fries and chili dogs are sticking to the top of the bag and don't look as appetizing as they did when they were first made. I'm sure they use this as a way to keep cost down but I would rather pay a little bit more and have an easier time getting my food back to my house

A fun family tradition every summer. Thin burgers with a heaping serving of sauteed onions. Don't forget the fries and fruit punch. Plenty of parking, very easy to see from the road. Very fast service and very affordable. No interior seating but plenty of picnic tables if eating in your car isn't your thing.

I expected more, I couldn't taste the burger it was so thin compared to roll and onions. The shake was somehow grainy... though my friend had the hotdogs and said it was great.

I've never understood the love for the place. There's onions for the burgers and meat sauce for the hot dogs, but otherwise it just looks like school cafeteria food to me; right down to the micro milk cartons. Seemed expensive too. $1.76 for a milk carton, $3.62 for a slider. But whatever; prices are clearly posted, the place has been around forever so people know what they're getting, and people can do what they want with their money. It's not like there's anything shady about the menu. The issue I had with the place was communication. There's some insurmountable terminological gap going on, particularly regarding burgers. I watched it happen three orders in a row. There'd be some issue with the way something was said or interpreted and the wrong thing would be yelled back to the cook staff, then the patron would try to set it straight and be informed, "but that's not what you said." Then the counter person would reconfirm with the cook staff and someone who looked to be taking down notes and adding figures with a pencil(?), who would then yell a price to the counter person. And then all three of the orders I saw had some incorrect element. Absence of cheese, wrong condiment on wrong things... just wasn't going well. I don't even know where to place the blame. The kids working were definitely trying, and they were nice and friendly; but some part of this process is broken and it seemed to be costing the counter person a sizable portion of her soul trying to translate and rectify. As we were leaving I heard someone say, "I just want three with ketchup and onions." Three what, man? Hot dogs? Burgers? You into some really avant garde milkshakes? Give that counter person something to go on.

Not what I expected. I only eat real beef hot dogs- these were clearly not. Our orders were all mixed up and items were paid for were missing. It's annoying having to keto going back to get things sorted out. Burgers are sliders, and prices were decent.

Food is okay but when the line starts to form too many orders taken at once and orders get messed up. Don’t like that u have to scream your order from so far away. Burgers have wayy too many onions & overpriced.

We went tonight and we’re turned away at 8:01. Google says they close at 8:45 and Facebook hours say 8:30. They said that they closed at 8:00. It must be nice to turn customers away. I called and the person I spoke to made all kinds of excuses 1. They run a business and close at a set time. They can’t take anymore customers after that time. 2. They put chemicals on the grill to clean. That’s funny because they were still cooking someone else’s food. 3. I told him what it said on google and his response was I don’t know what it says on google. 4. He said that they have a Facebook page so I looked it up and that said it closes at 8:30. His response was I can’t verify that you are looking at the right Jack’s Drive In. I told him that I dialed from the Facebook page and read the address to him. I do have to say that on the Facebook page down further on the posts it said fall hours but that isn’t the first thing you see on the page. I have been going to Jack’s for 52 years . The service certainly isn’t the same.

Lousy customer service, sliders are getting smaller and loaded with too many undercooked onions, and sitting at the picnic tables all I could smell was their dumpster. And when I grabbed my tray of food, the tray hadn't been washed because there was something slimy on the bottom of the tray and my fingers went right into it, DISGUSTING!! In other words, it's not the Jack's it was 10, 20, 30, and 40 year's ago and it's safe to say that I will never go there for lunch again in my lifetime.

I have been going Jack's on and off for over 40 years. This year I was truly disappointed. They Changed the burgers and the fried onions are different. Ruined a great thing!! Plz buy the burger patties you used to serve and get rid of the horrible onions you are now serving.

My last visit here was horrible because the people who work there were very weird and rude. They do not take well to questions and are very quick with their patrons when ordering. Won't be returning and that is sad because the food is amazing.

The food was horrible! Burgers unseasoned, to many onions, and flavorless.The fries tasted like they were cooked twice, The chocolate shakes were just vanilla with chocolate syrup at the bottom.For the quality of the food the prices are unreasonable and the service was subpar.

Very rude, absolutely never going back. Been coming here for years because the food is great but whoever was working at the window today was very unprofessional. He took my order and walked away when I asked my girlfriend what she wanted. When he came back and we tried to finish ordering he had a miserable attitude, cut me off while speaking and asked, "Oh now you want a cheeseburger too? Because that's not what you ordered." When I explained he walked away while ordering he stated, "I must have been confused". He stepped back into the kitchen and shouted "I guess they want a cheeseburger now." No apologies what so ever. Burger was smothered in ketchup and mustard to cover the fact that the burger was Grey in color. Worst burger ive ever had. And apparently they sit on the burger before serving it. Save ur time n go to gusses

Not sure what happened. The order was incorrect, when Inquired about the order, I was told that I had ordered it wrong. 1. My brother ordered I was there. 2. Please next time which will be another customer cause I will never go there again, please just be helpful and correct the order. 3 please look at my reviews. I seldom give a bad one but yall need to work on the customer service. Too bad I had been going there for years. I'll blame it on the post pandemic.

They take the hamburger out at night it sits on the counter all night till morning. Some of the meat turns brown because of the heat. Then they cooked it for a few minutes. Then put the hamburger in water. Put it back on the grill to heat it up. The manager doesn't know anything about the food industry. The manager I witnessed killing flys with a knife that he is using to cut hot dog rolls with. He doesn't know anything about cross contamination. The food most days are not properly closed. The put cook food uncovered on top of raw food. . The place is always dirty around the food.

Out of the several mini hotdogs I ordered, a bun was put upside-down on the tray and still topped with the toppings. The French fries were dry, cold, old, and stale. Burgers were just ok, not like Jack's burgers should be. I do hope the owners take note of this and get back on top of quality control.
