Recommend you make a reservation. We didn’t know we had to make reservations- we waited outside about 35 minutes to see if we could get a table, if one of the reservations canceled. It did and we got a table. Food was good- we ordered a chicken pozole verde and enchiladas Adelita. Food was flavorful. The agua fresca de tamarindo was delicious too.

The food is outstanding, delicious. The service, however, leaves much to be desired. Make a reservation and prepare yourself for extremely slow service. Update: Went again for the second time. Service was much, much better. Food still amazing. Try the pozole and enchiladas!

It had been a few years since I had been to this magical city, I was so looking forward to going back to this place for a bowl of pozole and some tacos dorados,, what a disappointment. From the moment we arrived the host/server was unfriendly and rude. No welcoming smile. It felt like everything was a chore for him. Almost like if he was doing us a favor by allowing us to be in his presence. It was quite bizarre, you would maybe think he was just having a bad day? During the same week we had gone by twice, at the top of the hour, hoping someone would default on their reservation (as we did not have one, we did not plan to go, reservations highly recommended) and we could have a table and both times we were met with this unfriendly spirit. I’m not one to write many reviews I just felt obligated to let others know of this “famous” restaurant that all of the “buzz” about this place is not met with the service you’d expect from an establishment with this kind of reputation. Not once did they come check on us to see if we needed anything or if we were satisfied with the food and service. We were just ignored until we needed to pay the bill. No hard feelings but I will not frequent this business again as they do not deserve my hard earned money. If you would like the same quality food, and friendly service go right across the street to Taquería "WENDY" their tacos dorados are much better, they actually have flavor and the pozole is great too. All of this with no attitude. Imagine that, what a business model, provide good food and friendly service. As they say in show business… you’re only as good as your last job.

We were recommended this place and although we arrived late on the outside we wanted to see it for its attractiveness and as soon as we wanted to take a look they told us rudely that it was already closed and we went in just 30 minutes before closing time. As soon as we turned around they closed the door and it was a very bad experience and we didn't even go in. .... No desire to visit…

This place it is small, nice setting but food is very bland for being "authentic" Zacatecas style. Food was not spicy at all. For drink we ordered a coke and they serve you a mini coke when their food is expensive you don't even get a regular size coke. My wife's enchiladas are way better than this place.
