Avis sur Pariente Villa Zapopan
I didn't have time to take a picture because the aguachile was so delicious. The service was very fast, and the attention was excellent. The aguachile was incredibly spicy, but there's a reason it's called aguachile, not aguamiel, hehe. Plot twist: I came to wash my car next door, and while they were delivering it, I arrived and it was 10/10. Plot twist X2: If you go on a Monday and order an aguachile, they'll give you a free bucket of 5 ampoules.
It's worth noting that my review is solely for the tacos, which is what I order when I go there. The flavor is good, and they even give you the option of ordering them grilled. The place is spacious, the front area was recently remodeled and looks lovely—ideal for spending a pleasant time. I thought the piña colada and the passion fruit cocktail with mezcal were good. They have weekday specials. The servers are very attentive. Good value for the price.
Super 👌
Great food
Plenty of parking, a spacious and well-ventilated space. The seafood is very good, and if the cuts are lacking, it's not worth the price. They have screens for watching sports, but they never turn off the music, which is too loud and doesn't allow for comfortable conversation. A wide variety of cocktails at a fair price. The waiters are very friendly and good.
Good food and excellent cervice
The "aguachile pariente" is very unusual, as they add mango, kiwi, and strawberry; the mango is frozen, by the way. They almost forgot to add shrimp because they put so many things in it, it wasn't balanced at all. For me, that was a 4/10. The Governor tacos are very good in flavor, but more shrimp would have been nice. At least a taco should taste like a tortilla, and that's what it was. The Governor taco was supposed to have vegetables, but it didn't. However, I admit the flavor surprised me, which is why they earned their 6/10. Maybe I'll go back, wanting to try other things, maybe with less frozen fruit or more shrimp.
Wow, things were looking better 🤨, the service was incredibly slow. The place was only about half full, and it still took 20 minutes for drinks, 30 for appetizers, and 40 minutes for the main course 😡. The tuna tostada was more like a mango tostada 🥭 with very little tuna, very little avocado, and just that soy sauce with Maggi seasoning, nothing special. I ordered a grilled dogfish fillet, and they brought me half a fish. I didn't send it back because it had taken 40 minutes to bring it, and it was very dry, by the way, with no flavor or salt, just the "zarandeado" sauce (guajillo chili), and that's it. The grilled shrimp were practically raw, "from the grill" in name only. The marlin tostada was an 8, very salty. A bad experience, honestly. The place is very pretty and decorated, the live mariachi music was very pleasant, and if it hadn't been for the black sauce with vegetables, I would have left the food, to continue with that bad experience. The bartenders were very young and inexperienced. I ordered a Saint-Germain Spritz, and they actually brought me Saint-Germain liqueur with non-sparkling white wine, no soda water, and no garnishes like fruit or herbs. 😡👎🏽 Bad experience.
I liked the place for drinks with friends or to enjoy the atmosphere, but not for eating. I think the food leaves much to be desired and they could improve, as the dishes seem to have been refrigerated. The service is good, at least when it's not too crowded, as it tends to get packed on weekends due to the live music. *I consider the prices quite reasonable for the portion sizes.
Food is ok; service is slow.
The quality of the food has gone down a lot, and I say this because we'd been there before. The aguachile was practically dry, without any salsa. We asked for more salsa and they ended up charging us for it. The five coconut shrimp they give you come with a mango sauce that tastes like Danonino yogurt. The shrimp were tough and covered in dough. And the so-called Philadelphia cream cheese tasted awful; I don't even think it was Philadelphia. The orange soda also had a strange syrupy taste. I used to like it, but they've really lost quality. And the valet parking service is terrible, in my opinion. I'd rather they charged for parking.
It's impossible for them to take 15 minutes to bring you a single beer when the restaurant is almost empty. The food is not worth mentioning; a lemonade takes another 10 minutes. And all for a very tasteless and unremarkable meal. We heard about two other tables who canceled their orders due to the wait time, and again, the restaurant was almost empty.
I really don't like to give bad reviews about places, but this one deserves it. The food was very flavorless, especially the cocktail. It tasted like nothing, and the octopus was too tough. I also lost a glass of water and, sadly, realized there was dirt at the bottom of the glass (attached evidence). The only thing I liked was the michelada.
Music too loud, no chance to enjoy a nice conversation while you eat or waiting for food. Food not so good.
I had already been like 6 times and everything was great, the food, the service and everything 10/10, the 7th time I went was to celebrate my mother's birthday and the truth is that since the remodeling and change of waiters began, terrible service, very slow, the food took 1 hour and a half to arrive, we were 9 people and the food was out of time in which some were eating others were waiting for their food, the drinks were terrible, to end my patience when we finished my husband asked for the bill and we always tipped 10% or even more, this time we also gave 10% and despite that we were already leaving when one of the waiters who served us about (22 years old) was new because in the time I went I had never seen him until that day came and stopped us in our tracks and told my husband that she demanded at least 15% of the bill since there were a lot of us, we were 5 adults, 4 children, and that That's what they deserved the 15% tip. I told my husband not to give it since it's not an obligation and that whenever we went we gave very good tips, so the waiter told him that he should understand and give him the 15%. My husband, to avoid conflict, gave him what he asked for and I got very upset, in fact, I got into an argument with my husband because I thought the treatment was super unfair and even more so because this time they took a long time and the food was poorly made, out of time and the drinks had no flavor. In short, it was one of my favorite places but I will never return. If you have the opportunity to go somewhere else, do it and skip that experience with a bad taste in your mouth. In the end, I just wanted my mother to have a good time but well, it couldn't be done!!!
