Great great falafel! Everything including the different salads, hummus and desserts was very tasty, I would highly recommend eating in falafel shalom. Also the owner is very nice and you can see that he cares about making good food.

Who would have thought we’ll be eating falafel in Zipolite! But we did. And a damn good one! Someone on the beach told us about that place and we went to see it, only to find out it has very few opening hours. So we came back after 4pm and we’re glad we did. Tom, the owner, is extremely friendly and the waitress too. We had falafel and salad, both were fresh, interesting and very delicious. A day before we left Zipolite we came back and had some more deliciousness including their home made vegan desserts. So good! Very highly recommended!

Best Middle Eastern restaurant in Oaxaca! Yummy food, amazing services, and very fair prices. I highly recommend the hummus, shakshuka, and falafel! The pita is insanely soft and fresh. Feels like home!

Nimrod Dagan (Nimi)

One of the delicious foods you can get in Zipolite. Truly amazing hummus, incredible falafel and great side dishes such as tabula salad and baba ganoush. Always super fresh and good. Highly recommended especially if you are vegans or very hungry.

The most delicious Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food I’ve had. The chef/owner prepares every dish with love and intention as if he was going to eat it himself. Very reasonable price and delicious!! Can’t wait to go back and have the food again.

The hummus and the coffee were tasty. Relaxed vibe apart from their dog. Ordered a bottle of water and got a jug of water with a dirty cap that I got charged 20 pesos for so it made me a bit sad. It was still nice to find a place that served something different than the usual in this part of the world. So they should just train their dog and not serve dirty water and they will become a great place.

The setup and vibe of the place are really nice. The service was helpful, and the waitress took her time helping us out with the menu. So we were off to a good start. Unfortunately, the food was a big disappointment. The baba ganoush tasted like a bitter and heavy tahini. It was honestly inedible.The consistency of the hummus was good, but the flavour was so bland that I didn't understand I was eating hummus. The chickpeas in the middle are a nice tought, but they were cooked to hell and lost all their bite so were unpleasant and added nothing. The mixed veggies tasted and looked old and some of them were extremely salty. The tabbouleh was nothing to write home about but fine comparing to the other things served. The only thing passable on the table were the falafals themselfs: they were small but had a good crunch. I really tried to like what they served, but it was just bad. These dishes are not so difficult to prepare, so what they played up is inexcusable.
