Golden Chariot Bakery is a solid go-to spot in the Outer Richmond for fresh, delicious Chinese baked goods. I picked up a pineapple bun, coconut buns, BBQ pork bun, and egg tarts — everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-made. The pineapple bun had that signature crispy top and pillowy interior, the coconut buns were soft with just the right touch of sweetness, and the BBQ pork bun was generously filled with savory-sweet char siu. The egg tarts contained a smooth custard with a flaky, buttery crust. There’s a good variety of both sweet and savory options, the prices are very reasonable, and the service is consistently friendly and efficient. Overall, a great neighborhood bakery that delivers quality and value. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

When I was 6,7, 8 years old, this was my "reward" when I behaved. My papa and I would go everyday. I'm so so so happy they are still in business and it is such a treat to come back and visit. Best Chinese bakery in my opinion, hands down!

The fresh out of the oven pineapple buns are the best I've had. We lived around the corner and would get them every morning when the store opens at 7am. I'm salivating just thinking about it. So good that you can peel the top off like a cookie.

If you dont mind lard in your bakery items and irregular supply of your favorites, this is your place.
Went there specifically for their wife cookies but none was available as they only make them on Thursdays & Saturdays. Ended up trying their sponge cake & cream filled bun. Both were good. I notice they were selling prepacked lunch boxes primary for students as the shop is located couple of blocks from a high school. There are different varieties of lunch at $5 per box.
Came here a couple days ago to get some food for a hike. Not the best I've ever had, but I always appreciate walking into a Chinese bakery/restaurant where the workers understand and speak English. Makes the experience that much better.

Save your money and take the 31 bus towards the inner Richmond . Walk to.Clement and sixth and get real good bakery. Food here is dry or stale ... Service about the same
