Recensioni di Palio Alameda
We had a 3 course Italian as a large corporate group in the private dining room. Food was exceptional. Service was great. Service started with complimentary bread around the table with olive oil. Servers took orders on choice of salad, first course. Every course had vegetarian options. I then had Eggplant parmesan for main course and finished off with classic Tiramisu. Some of us also had coffee/latte to finish the meal. No complaints!!
Nice italian restaurant in the Financial District that caters to local business people. Not many tourists make it here. Busy at lunch and after work. Happy hour has decent food discounts for small plates.
Palio is a gem. The carpaccio was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere felt both elegant and welcoming. A spot I’d happily return to again and again. Highly recommend
Loved the fine dining experience, amazingly curated selection of menu, outstanding hospitality and service. Truly deserving 5 stars!
This restaurant is a true hidden gem located a couple blocks away from Chinatown. The owner was extremely hospitable and accommodating to my dietary restrictions. I ordered the bolognese (gluten free) and the pavlova — both were very delicious. Highly recommend this place!
We went in on a weekday evening to a very quiet and calm atmosphere. The server was very thoughtful and when we found out I don’t drink informed me of some of the sauces that were made with wine. One of the dishes I wanted to try had a sauce with wine in it so he asked the kitchen if they could prepare it separately without the alcohol, which was very kind and initiated by him. Thank you all!
Beautiful and elegant Italian venue! Large enough for events and even presentations. Carlos was a great server:) Wine was very bold and really good. The focaccia bread for appetizers was fresh and tasty:) Mushroom pizza was delicious;)
Palio had a nice ambiance when I was greeted and seated. The customer service here was excellent and all the food I ordered and tried was delicious! Nice little Italian restaurant with excellent food and a nice wine selection as well. The minestrone soup was very flavorful and had a lot of vegetables. We were also offered their focaccia bread that was on the house. The margherita pizza had a very tasty and robust tomato sauce. The rigatoni pasta had a very nice al dente chew and the pork was tender and flavorful. Highly recommended restaurant if you're around the area.
Such a hidden gem! The restaurant is on a very quiet street on the outskirts of Chinatown, we went on a Friday night and the restaurant was pretty empty. However the food was really good! The burrata is great for sharing, taste of pear and meat mixes really well with bread, and the server brought us extra bread which was warm and tasty. Many yelp reviews highlighted their crab pasta, but I tried the pasta of the day which was black ink with seafood and it was also very good! It came with great portion, plenty of shrimp and calamari, and the pasta itself tasted fresh (not sure if they are freshly made but they do have a pasta making station). Tiramisu at an Italian restaurant is always good. $60 per person post tax and fees
We had a great experience at Palio for our wedding a few weekends back! Valeria and her staff were incredible from start to finish. We were able to set up flowers and decor the evening before and day of the wedding. The staff was so friendly and the service was impeccable during our event, the food was GREAT, and even better the cocktails. Thank you Palio for a wedding to remember! We will be back! -Jacque & Ian

Such a great experience! I went at an off time so I was the only patron but everyone was so, so nice. Service was excellent. The food was amazing! Ambiance was super cool. Highly recommend.
The restaurant is a great spot for a romantic dinner as well as a big family gathering. It is spacious and stylish. Best Italian food in the city. We come here often and love it for the bites and great service. Come here and you will be close to north beach, china town, Columbus st, etc.
Our party of 4 came to Palio for the first time for an early dinner and drinks and we were pleasantly surprised to have found a fantastic Italian restaurant near Union Square. The bartender Louis and owner Martino were both very friendly, made us feel welcome, and were very engaging. We had the Arancini, Margherita pizza and a shrimp pasta and all were excellent. The pizza was one of the best thin crust Italian pizzas we had in the city! It is a family run business with lovely staff, excellent food and drinks, good vibes, and great happy hour menu. I would highly recommend a visit!
I only knew about this place because it was featured on Go Boldly SF. I'm glad we went, because their special four‑course menu, Live Long and Pasta, was amazing. The food was delicious, and we had a wonderful time — we will definitely return. We enjoyed the staff's conversation and company.
I was in town for a week and made a stop here for dinner. Was looking for some sort of really good Italian dinner. I ended up picking a wonderful place. The service and food were both amazing with several really great choices. The drink menu was very creative and the bartender even offered to make drinks if you would give him your favorite ingredients. I would definitely recommend coming here if you are in the area.
Stopped into Palio for a Happy Hour bite and drink on a Tuesday. Pizza was very good and enjoyed the House Red. I believe there were only 2 other people in the restaurant, so service was obviously very quick and attentive. Absolutely no complaints.

really good service and food was nice, mains did take quite long though.
Palio got a new face lift and reopened earlier this year. I think February but I could be wrong. Everything we had was good. I recommend the crab spaghetti and whole fish for sure! The service was prompt and great. The hostess was very sweet.
I am never easily satisfied with Italian restaurants but I have to say that their dishes are exceptionally tasty. I would recommend trying the aubergine and gnocchi dish. The portion sizes are more than enough. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is due to a he slightly higher price. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as it tasted very authentic

Palio is standard fare Italian. I'd love to make something more special out of it. I'd love to say it is bespoke. Unfortunately there is not much to it. The atmosphere begs for Palio to be taken seriously. It exudes the ambience of a high end restaurant. Clean and classy. But that's where the anticipation ends. The food is straight forward Italian. Salad is good. The foccacia bread is good. The pasta with crab meat was genuine. But again, nothing special. However given the prices, one cannot condone the mediocrity. I have no doubt that the ingredients are fresh and the food prepared with fervor. But what's the point if it will be just a step above Olive Garden? And what put the nail in the coffin was the dessert. Grainy, bland, and "random". Not sure why the restaurant was relatively bustling on a Wednesday dinner. I wouldn't return. Perhaps the business crowd.

I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing Saturday night. First, you’re forced to book through OpenTable and put a credit card down just to get a table for four. Because of the $25-per-person cancellation fee, we felt completely "locked in" just to avoid forfeiting $100. We had a 7:30 PM reservation and noticed the 8:00 PM closing time. Our server was kind and assured us seating ends at 8:00, the kitchen closed at 8:300, but we could stay as late as 10:00 or 11:00 PM. We felt better and had a good meal, but then the atmosphere shifted. The bus guy started hovering like a vulture to clear glasses and stopped refilling our water while we were trying to visit with old friends. At 9:27 the same man literally walked up and rudely told us we need to "go home" before turning away without a word. We were stunned. To be chased out of a "nice" Italian restaurant in FiDi before 9:30 PM on a Saturday is ridiculous. Good food isn't worth being treated like a nuisance.
