The food was delicious! The seating area is also really cute, casual, and perfect for lunch. When I went for the first time, I didn't know what to order or what the sauces were. The cashier was very kind and walked us through the ordering process and which dishes were what. Would definitely come again and highly recommend to anyone who likes a savory, delicious meal that's hearty and in big portions. Bring someone with you - the portions can get large, which is great!
The food was amazing and fast! The service was amazing, nice staff, little wait time for the food. The place was clean and felt cozy. I would recommend the mix shawarma platter!
The food was delicious! Definitely one of the better chicken shawarmas I’ve had, super fresh and seasoned well. Love how they give you the sauces to pour all over the food! We chose to dine in and the staff were friendly. Prices were reasonable. Indoor seating/decor/ambience were average.
I've been a regular customer at DUZAN in Astoria for over a decade, and it deserves five-star review. The service is consistently great—friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making you feel right at home whether you’re rushing in for a quick lunch or settling down for dinner. The restaurant is always impeccably clean, which speaks volumes about their commitment to quality. Most importantly, the food is exceptional. The quality of the ingredients is evident in every dish, and everything is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. After ten-plus years of visits, I can confidently say that DUZAN is a must-try. I highly recommend it for both lunch and dinner. If you're looking for fantastic food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere in Astoria, this is the spot.

This place screws up our orders in small ways on a regular basis but it’s one of our go tos, which should say something. The food is really good. We love that they offer stuff you won’t find at every shawarma spot in the neighborhood like Israeli cous cous, amba sauce, and their harissa sauce which is definitely on the spicy side. My favorite thing to order isn’t actually on the online ordering menus, only at the menu in the store: the Vegetarian Plate, which is huge and the best part is the fried eggplant which comes sliced thin and crispy and unnervingly tasty. We will always order from here on a regular basis unless something changes dramatically! Looking forward to their main dining area finishing its remodeling. Until then, the place is best thought of as counter service because there are only 3 picnic tables (one often used by delivery drivers waiting for their orders) and some stools in the window.
I was invited to a celebration of life dinner by my brother. I was blown away how awesome the food was. The rice dish was delicious and I had three helpings of it I can’t wait to come to Houston again. I will make sure to stop by this restaurant. I should’ve taken some pictures. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting phenomenal Halal food.

Duzan is one of my favorite places, it’s very affordable and tasty. I always get their pita sandwiches, pictures is their chicken schnitzel. A great mix of chicken and veggies. They also have great juices. I will always return here
If you’re on Steinway and craving something truly delicious, Duzan Mediterranean should be your first stop and it is Halal too.Their beef shawarma with pita bread is honestly one of the best things I’ve ever had. The beef is tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed into soft, warm pita that makes every bite melt in your mouth. Pair it with their crispy fries, and you’ve got the ultimate comfort meal. What I love most is that even while they’re still working on their renovations, the food hasn’t lost any of its quality. Sometimes when places are under construction, you expect the service or consistency to dip a little, but not here—everything comes out just as fresh and flavorful as ever. Duzan has that perfect balance of casual and special. It’s great if you just want to grab something quick, but it’s also a spot where the food feels worth sitting down and enjoying slowly. Honestly, it’s rare to find a place that delivers this kind of flavor and keeps it consistent every time. For me, this is hands down one of the best food spots in Steinway. If you’re in the neighborhood and haven’t tried it yet, you’re definitely missing out.
The chicken shawarma platter with hummus and salad is SO DELICIOUS THAT I DAYDREAM ABOUT IT!!! It is healthy, flavorful, and so, so good. It comes with pickles, pita, and delicious garlic sauce. I’m told that I’m a harsh food critic but this place is a 10/5!!!! Absolutely amazing! Friendly employees, and nice ambiance. They have a sit in area.
All I have is this photo of the leftovers I'm having for breakfast the next morning, cause the food is always smelling so beautiful that we have to eat it right away. everything is made with love, mouth watering, flavorful and nourishing for the body and soul. we always get their ful mudammas and arayes, pairs well with the arabia salad. the baklava is actually from al sham sweets down the street- best baklava in the city.
Can’t recommend this spot enough! The food is so flavorful. I am in love with the Harissa. It may be spicy but the it enhances the flavor of the platter 10x more.
I ordered two chicken shawarmas and fries. The shawarma was packed and very tasty. It was filled with tahini, thinly sliced shawarma chicken, salad, and their unique white sauce. The fries were also good and were served with white sauce and the special Duzan sauce on the side. The workers were very respectful and the place was welcoming. The shawarma was fulling and exceeded my expectations. Overall, Duzan is a place I will definitely visit again.
Food is amazing, everything is extremely flavorful and well made. Service is Great. Music inside the business is loud and annoying imo, but that's a personal preference, others might enjoy it. I give it a 9/10 overall!!
Just bought 1 arayes. Interior is nice. No frills kinda interior but I like it. The arayes were absolute bangers. Staff were friendly. Smelling other people's orders, I'm definitely coming back. Id like to try their other menu items. Came during noon. Got busy kinda after I came in. Would recommend.

The biggest hassle here is finding a parking spot. I had the falafel pita sandwich, I felt the hummus could be a little more, and they forgot to give me a side of tahini which they said they include, so I felt it a bit dry. The flavors were good. Really a shame . Used to be one my favorite places ever. Not anymore. From open kitchen they became a hole in the wall and the food wasn’t as hot by the time we got it.
I’m not sure what happened to Duzan, they used to be incredible. However the other day I ordered my usual, chicken shawarma, and noticed it tasted a little off. Fast forward a few hours and my partner and I are both horribly sick with food poisoning. This place has obviously prioritized making money over running a sanitary and safe business. You lost a decade plus customer and I will be telling people to avoid the business going forward.
Never gets the damn order right like rarely. I order mix platter with hummus and rice I get hummus and fries then the opposite then they get it wrong. Once ordered 6 platters they gave 5. LIKE GET SOME PEOPLE WHO CAN ACTUALLY COMMUNICATE!!!
