The Ricotta pancakes are delicious and way more filling than they look. The omelette and crispy potatoes were also a great choice. The restaurant is spacious and beautiful and the service is great

Love Saraghina's food and vibe. The price tag is high, but the food is worth it. Unfortunately, I will no longer be patronizing Saraghina because they are not friendly to our neighborhood. Every time it snows hard, they never shovel their long piece of sidewalk. You'd think a restaurant at these prices would be able to afford a couple of neighborhood kids to dig them out, but it's clearly not a priority. I saw a lady this morning almost trip on the slippery snow trying to get on the bus right in front of Saraghina. I saw this old man fall down at the corner and he just sat there, crying his eyes out. I helped him up and I heard him groan, "Thank you, young man. I could have broken my back. Any restaurant or business that doesn't shovel, doesn't deserve to be in the neighborhood!" You said it, old guy. You said it. I went through Ft Greene and took a quick inventory. Every restaurant shoveled except for Strange Delight and Black Iris. All the other restaurants, both big and small, found a way to shovel their walks. Thumbs down, Saraghina. When you do eventually close, I'll be investing money in bringing back Madiba to that spot. They ALWAYS shoveled their walk. Oh, and if you order the gluten free pancakes during the brunch rush, they won't tell you that it'll take longer than everyone else's food at the table.

Brian the bartender made the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. The pizza and spaghetti was delicious but I stayed an extra hour and had drinks because I honestly felt at home . Thank you.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Fort Greene, Saraghina Café offers an enchanting culinary escape that transported us to early 20th-century Milan. All the items in the restaurant were sourced straight from Italy. The menu signed by renowned Chef Jonathan Lauriola, this Venetian-inspired haven is a testament to the artistry inherent in Italian hospitality. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance wraps around you like a warm embrace. The refined yet friendly service sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. Our cozy table for four invited intimate conversation, while the soft lighting and charming decor beckoned us to linger. As we perused the menu, the recommendation of the Nebbiolo ‘24 from Piemonte was a masterstroke, adding a velvety richness that complemented our meal beautifully. The evening began with a trio of crudos, each bite an explosion of flavors to our taste buds. The ceviche, infused with hints of Italian technique, was a standout until I was introduced to the days-long fermented pizza dough. The funghi & truffle pizza was nothing short of sublime, Each bite was a reminder of how simple yet high-quality ingredients can elevate a dish to greatness. For the main course, the special of the evening—a traditional lasagna—was executed with such precision that it felt like a privilege to enjoy it. Chef Lauriola’s passion for using top-notch ingredients was the highlight of the evening, and the accompanying charred vegetables lent a delightful contrast to the richness of the lasagna. We couldn’t resist indulging in a trio of decadent desserts. The Tiramisu, a personal favorite, stood out as one of the best we’ve encountered, while the chocolate mousse captured my heart with its silky texture. The Pavlova, elegantly presented, was delicate and perfectly executed My heartfelt gratitude goes to Jon and his remarkable team for crafting such a delicious experience. The service was outstanding, making us feel like cherished guests rather than mere patrons The magic of Saraghina Café, it’s a gem that should not be missed.

Our food was delicious and the atmosphere divine. We were a party of five and had a cozy experience. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to return in summer to dit outside.

This was my first time eating ay Saraghina Caffe and I will definitely come back. I walked in and I was immediately transported to an authentic Italian restaurant. The music playing was just the right volume and complimented the restaurants atmosphere. Everyone was extremely welcoming and the service was impeccable! I started with the Safron Arancini which was perfectly cooked and had so much flavor! My main dish was the Wild Boar Tagliatelle. I have never had Wild Boar before, but the waiter said it was one of their most popular dishes. I understand why after my first bite. The Wild Boar had a tremendous flavor like it had been marinating for a couple of days. It was served over tagliatelle pasta cooked just right. I ended my meal with their gelato. They have chocolate, vanilla and hazelnut. I'm glad I ordered Hazelnut because it just might be the creamiest gelato I have ever eaten. Overall, the food was great. I would definitely come back!!!

Absolutely love this place for any time of day and any occasion! Romantic oysters, crudo, and martinis at the deco bar or for a family brunch with kids over pizzas, burgers, and spritzes. Best hollandaise around. They do not phone it in at brunch whatsoever. Best GF pizza in NY and I love how they differentiated the vibe and menu from their original location which I also frequent. For pizzas, go to the Bed Stuy location, for a bit more upscale experience with rawbar, treat yourself to the FG caffe. Love the staff. Only impeccable experiences! We need these independent gems that make our neighborhoods vibrant.

We scheduled ladies night in Bklyn. The restaurant we originally scheduled turned us away. We went to saraghina Caffe. What an amazing surprise. The service by Sophia was attentive. The swordfish was fresh. Branzino popped. Asparagus tasty, and gelato perfect. We will be back.

Such a lovely experience! Our waiter was great and the food was delicious. My favorites from all that we ordered were the elderflower spritz, sbagliato, brussel sprouts, mushrooms & black truffle pizza, Milanese summer risotto, chocolate & hazelnut gelato, tiramisu, and the affogato. The gazpacho, ricotta, and spaghetti alla chitarra were also good. Saraghina is the perfect place for a relaxed and unhurried dinner experience.

Stepping into this gem feels like entering a more delicious dimension, where the ingredients do all the talking. It’s refined without being fussy and somehow both casual and elegant at once. We ordered with abandon and thank God we did! Every dish was a masterclass in restraint, balance, and so much flavor. The burrata pizza was the showstopper, with its charred, chewy crust and creamy burrata pooling like mozzarella’s silkier cousin. It struck the perfect harmony between indulgent and airy. The bits of zesty sausage really made it sing. The fritto misto was crisp perfection, light, not greasy. The wasabi mayo was so fresh and added nice zing. Then came the saffron risotto, which was rich, golden, and impossibly comforting. It delivered big flavor with delicate technique, a warm hug in the form of rice. This is my new ultimate comfort food. The meatballs were tender and pillowy, swimming in a tomato sauce that tasted like someone’s nonna made it. We finished with mango passionfruit gelato and a tiramisu that could double as a religious experience. The gelato was tropical and vibrant, like sunshine in dessert form. The tiramisu was pillowy, not overly sweet, and laced with just the right hit of espresso. Hidden at the bottom was a crunchy surprise that added texture and flavor, completely unexpected and completely genius. This is a place true foodies will appreciate. High-quality ingredients, cooked with love, presented without ego. Saraghina is what happens when someone takes Italian classics seriously but not themselves. Already dreaming about our next visit. Or at least another round of that saffron risotto!

It was busy everywhere in the neighborhood being as though it was the first 80° Saturday. Popped in for brunch and was immediately welcomed, but two lovely hosts. Choose to dine at the bar. Chris the bartender was excellent. And the food was delicious and came out in perfect timing

Best pizza I’ve had in New York so far. We didn’t feel like we over did it after each having a whole pizza and sharing tiramisu. The crust was perfect and didn’t make our jaws ache like most pizzas do.😅 The tiramisu was also amazing; we wish it was bigger! The staff were super kind too.

Booked here for a treat brunch, it was excellent. We had coffees, grapefruit juice and a Bellini, and French roast with a side of bacon, Norvegese eggs, and Ricotta pancakes. All really good, nicely presented and delicious. Service is to the point and speedy.

TLDR; never had a better omelette or cappuccino in my life. No regrets. We came in at noon with reservations and were seated right away. The cafe is just such a gorgeous little spot and the interiors are so well done. Food: mushroom omelette, eggs Benedict Drinks : cappuccinos, orange juice The omelette is really the showstopper here. I am as picky as it gets when it comes to how omelettes are cooked - this omelette is perfection. It’s not wet, it’s still moist and the flavors are to die for. The orange juice was also super fresh and the cappuccinos were made perfectly (another thing I’m very picky about). Service is immaculate. The staff is incredibly attentive- plates disappear off tables as you finish, the waiters somehow always know when they’re needed. This type of service is rare.

The crudo bar is a highlight, but the rest is less consistent. Gnocchi is another standout. Maybe better seafood entree options would bring it to 5 stars. The art deco bar is delightful.

Love the atmosphere on the inside of this place. It has a unique look and feel. I remember the salmon. I’m being completely excellent and tasty and well cooked. The pasta that we had was not good though.

Brooklyn is known for its pizza, but this spot truly stands above the rest. From the first bite, you know you’re experiencing something special. The crust is perfection, crispy on the outside, light and airy inside, with just the right chew. The sauce tastes fresh and balanced, tangy with a hint of sweetness, and the cheese is rich, gooey, and melts into every corner of the slice.

Loved the vintage, Italian bar interior. Went there for brunch on Saturday. The ricotta pancake was different - smaller and thicker. It was ok. The omelette was very soft. The brunch menu seemed limited and didn't have too many Italian dishes. I wanted to try their pizza but it only is available after 12pm. The hugo spritz was great!

Third star is purely for friendly service (appreciate you!!) I came for dinner by myself eager to treat myself. I ordered a fava bean and pecorino salad ($18) and a trio tartare ($25). The salad was fresh although poorly seasoned and had a spoonful of fava beans on greens (the description ”fava beans, pecorino” misguided me into thinking i was about to have a plate leaning more on beans, not a plate consisting mostly of mixed greens). The tartare trio was essentially two tablespoons each of branzino, salmon, and tuna with a hint of salt and pepper. While nothing was wrong with the fish itself, the fact that the ’crudo’ menu had both the branzino and the tuna as separate raw dishes i was expecting the seasoning to align with the individual plates described. I’m a small woman with a good appetite but it’s *very* rare for me to order more than two ”shareable” antipasto or a single plate of pasta at a similar place. After all this I’m still hungry so I order the wild boar ragu with ”hand made tagliatelle” hoping I’ll get something hearty and substantial (and to take leftovers home in case i couldn’t finish the dish). The pasta is far beyond al dente and is served with ~30g of barely seasoned ragu. This seems like a dish difficult not to make at least baseline tasty, so at this point I’m quite underwhelmed. The bill is $107 (including two glasses of wine). I’ve been here for coffee before and have had a good experience, the decor is wonderful and I’ve only had positive experiences with the staff, but the quality and size of the dishes on the dinner menu is quite disappointing. Nothing of Milan here beyond the decor, which itself is nice. I wish them well, the business seems to run good, but I hope the food gets the attention it deserves at this price point. Would love for this to be a great dinner spot!

The food used to be delicious but since changing the menu it’s disappointing. They increased the price of the mushroom pizza and removed truffle and added a truffle cream that I did not enjoy. The branzino ravioli was dry and the flavors really weren’t there. They also removed the salads they used to offer which were so delicious. I use to come here every other week but the food quality and portion sizes have continued to decrease. So sad to see the quality go down so rapidly here.

I came here with a friend on a cold December night. The food was great, the service with our server was lovely. However, as my friend and I paid the bill and sat for a couple minutes while waiting for the bus, everything on our table began to be cleared very urgently. This included my wine that I did not finish, my napkin I was still using, all without being asked if it was okay to clear. The host even came to our table giving a sign it was urgent for us to leave so they could turn the table. We were at the table no longer than 10 minutes after paying . Despite the ending of that dinner, I decided to come again recently as I enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, the service was worse this time as I felt a lack of care from our server, who took a long time to fill up my water and did not quality check our food. I experienced the same haste from the manager as my guest arrived in the snow and people seated prior to me were lounging around. I hesitantly paid and grabbed my coat from coat check myself as no one was present at the host stand.

Hadn’t been here in many years after some bad experiences and decided to give it another chance. Very fishy tuna crudo. Ordered the ortolana pizza (pesto! Hot honey! Seasonal veg!) and we got was this cafeteria pizza. We expressed our concerns to the bartender who relayed to the manager who decided not to accommodate us in any way. This pizza scarred us.

This is about the manager! I don’t want to give this place a bad mark, but the manager was incredibly rude and presumptive to myself, my friend and our two dogs. Without us getting a word in, he abruptly approaches and says to us, who are stand on the other side of the gate and perhaps not waiting for a seat “no, absolutely not, your dogs are too big!” First of all, my dog is not too big…please see the photo of myself and my dog enjoying a lovely meal there just two weeks ago. I was taken aback by his tone, and after he thought about it, he did decide to accommodate us, but it was too late, we went to Evelina, and they were angels! The food was good too! The servers at the caffe are great, the manager sucks! MY REPLY - I would like to edit my review in reply to the owner’s reply. Please be clear, the table you suggested was beautiful and perfectly fine. We did not accept due to the fact that you were extremely rude and abrupt, which is not an attitude I am accustomed to when dining at either location. Furthermore, your attitude and tone were highly inappropriate and almost ruined a beautiful Saturday. Have a blessed week.

Had a pizza which was great and the drinks were ok. However, the service was horrible. We never knew who our server was and were treated like second class in an EMPTY restaurant. Servers on their phones and had to wait upwards of 30 minutes to order, so ended up leaving. We asked for the check and left without ordering food. They were perplexed by it, even though they neglected us the whole time. Service has much room to be improved, hope they work on it cause the food was good.
