Carne asada burritos are wonderful. But their burgers are juicy and delicious. Gair Oaks Burger is a great place to visit in Altadena!

I ordered the Chinese Chicken Curry and it was super delicious just like the UK. I haven’t had that in the USA before! Really good stuff. Order with Brown hub Rice. Other people in my project ordered different things and all said how good it was.

Great place! First off, I'm gluten free, and though it's not on the menu, they usually have either gluten free buns or gluten free bread, which means I can have a real burger! Fast, good food, great home fries, good value. Yum!

I cannot say enough good things about the Vargas burger. Bulgogi marinated beef patty with a slaw that is just a bit sweet with jalapenos for a touch of heat. And the fries were so perfectly crispy for me. Will keep ordering this every time I come here in the future.

10/29/2025: First time here and it definitely won’t be our last! How many times had I ventured past this humble establishment while going to visit my MIL in Altadena, never knowing what magic awaited inside? After reading about all of the amazing things they’ve done for the community since the Eaton Fire, hubby and I decided that we needed to support a business in the local community. They are an Asian family owned business, they have all of the expected burgers, fries.. and they also have Chinese and Mexican fare! Who has been gate keeping this? Hubby ordered their burger combo and I got the combo chow mein noodles. Both were outstanding and portions are generous. Plenty of leftovers for noshing later. If you’re near the area, I strongly recommend that you stop by and give them a try! You will not be sorry.

Excellent food, served with a smile. Fair Oaks Burger makes you feel like a welcome neighbor, and the menu has something for everyone. My current favorite is the Vargas burger, but my wife had the pastrami and it was excellent!

Just had a delicious Belgian Waffles brkfst, eggs,bacon. Really nice Ladies who work there more then likely the owners that our super nice and friendly. I will be back for more food to try out. Stopped in while we were traveling further east and just loved the burger. Tasted as close to home made as possible. They are also helping the local residents post Altadena fires which shows that they are also excellent people. When in the area, we will be back!

Loved every part of our meal at Fair Oaks. We got the tuna melt (my personal favorite), the Vargas burger (close second), cheese burger chili fries and egg rolls. The only thing better than the food is the amazing staff and owners. I can’t wait to come back and try the fish tacos. Also their sauces are so good. I especially love the thousand island, ranch and avocado salsa.

I'm so happy to see Fair Oaks Burgers back after the very difficult time following the fires in January 2025. This place always had a sleeper menu of great stuff and good prices and now they've additional items to enjoy. Try the new Vargas Burger. You're welcome. Everything we ordered was tasty. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, and the pastrami is really good. They have plenty of choices on the menu. The team here is friendly and welcoming. Everyone was helpful and made sure we had what we needed. The place has a nice and relaxed vibe that makes for a comfortable meal. Good spot to grab food with friends or family.

Highly recommend. The chili cheese burger and fries were delicious. The burger itself was juicy & flavorful. The fries weren't too salty & just right. The regular cheeseburger came with jalapeños, bacon, and avocado which is rare but perfect. The zucchini fries are round and not mushy like other ones. Batter on the zucchini fries were nice and crunchy. The pesto chicken sandwich was tender and not chewy. Just the right amount of grilled onions & bell peppers on it. Staff are so nice & friendly. 9.5 out of 10 overall. Great job guys.

This gem of a place is hiding behind a burger name. Just like having a home cooked meal (chicken curry). A lot of regular customers.. and I'll be one soon.

Good food, had to wait a bit, due to high volume of customers but it was worth it.

The service is quick and everything was decent. There’s a few tables inside and seating outside. Plenty of parking and a drive-thru. They have Mexican, Chinese and American diner food. Prices were fair.
